Laurie L. "Lunch was so delicious, what a beautiful place! Fresh baked goods baked on-site. Trays of Baklava galore, breads, etc.... The smell of grilled chicken and lamb catches you in the parking lot.Order a plate but be prepared to share because the portions are huge. Rice, pita, hummas, cucumber salad, babaganoosh, fresh herbs. There is so much to go with the delectable meat of your choice. The lamb was amazing, so I'm told. My chicken shawarma was tasty, and the hummus smooth as silk. The falafel not so great, small and dry, but everything else was amazing.Save room for the Baklava! Or take some home like we did."

As I was looking through the window, Jeremiah, the owner, came out and said they were going to open at 11 o'clock. So I hung around for a few minutes to give it a try. I've never eaten at a Johnny's New York Style Pizza restaurant, but it is delicious. I'm having a slice of cheese pizza with pepperoni, onions, and mushrooms. I'm also having a glass of Chardonnay. They have a great drink menu and the server informed me they have a house Long Island Ice Tea (my favorite), so I will be back to try that! Really delicious Pizza. I love the slight crunchiness of the crust, and my server Lizzie is absolutely a delight. Stop in and give them a try. You won't be disappointed!!"

Andrew K. "Tried a breakfast sandwich here the other day as I was in the area and there wasn't much else around. I was pleasantly surprised by it and happy that the man running the small operation could whip up an item that was let even on the menu. The sandwich was tasty with a big hunk of sausage and came to about $7 which seemed fair. It wasn't busy there and it seemed like he had to turn on his equipment to get things working properly which probably explained why it took about 15 minutes to get the sandwich. K1 offers wings, hot dogs, and some southern staples at an affordable price. My only comment for improvement is that it was a little greasy for my liking but I'd definitely come back. They also told me they are open late night so if you get a hankering and what to support local Black owned business, come check it out"

Kevin C. "I had been to The Halal Guys in Chamblee, and had a good experience. Today during lunch was the first time coming to the Dunwoody location, which also turned out to be a good experience.Entrance to the retail parking garage is right off of Hammond. Parking is free for the first two hours. The Halal Guys is just a short walk through the parking garage, up a set of steps, through some doors to go outside, a right turn, and through the entrance doors and you're in the store! Actually, once you walk up the steps and go through the first set of doors, you can look to the right and see into The Halal Guys through the clear glass.R and I walked through the front doors and were immediately greeted by both of the employees behind the counter. We were the only customers in the store at the time. I ordered a beef gyro sandwich, which is served with lettuce, tomato and a pita wrap. The employee making my sandwich asked me if I wanted hummus on the sandwich. I was ready to say yes, assuming that I was being offered something that was included with the sandwich. I asked, "Does hummus come with the sandwich?" The employee stated that it didn't, and it would cost extra. Ok, I understand the upselling of items, but if you're going to ask the customer if he wants something on it, state whether or not there's an uncharge for it. After that employee tried that with me, I wold him that I only wanted its that come with the sandwich, and nothing extra. I got some spicy red sauce that added some heat (yes - no charge).Overall, the ingredients in my sandwich were fresh and delicious. I would definitely get the beef gyro in the future. We both ended up eating inside. Not only were there lots of tables, the entire dining area was clean! The soft drink dispensers were self serve, and the area was also clean and not sticky. I liked that there were brightly colored (red and yellow) and eye catching scenes painted on the walls that illustrated that The Halal Guys started business as a food cart in NYC at W 53 St and 6th Ave.The amount of food in the sandwich left me satisfied. I will definitely return."

My mom and I tried the rare steak, well done flank, and brisket combination pho, the grilled pork báhn mì, and the spring rolls. Everything was very tasty and fresh! We would reorder everything we tried. I can't speak on the in-person service or ambiance as this was a delivery order, but I would definitely recommend the food. Everything was well-portioned - plenty to share or for leftovers, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Give them a try if you haven't yet."

Tortas Factory del DF

Daniel B. "Tortas Factory del DF gets a solid four stars from me. This place has very good food, affordable prices, and quick, friendly service. These guys won Atlanta Magazine's Best of ATL award for Best Tortas in 2018, a well-deserved award. You can see the award displayed above the kitchen window."Del DF" means "of the Distrito Federal" or "Federal District," which is a reference to Mexico City (what Mexico City used to be called). The food served here is Mexico City style.Tortas Factory is in a small corner strip on Buford Highway OTP, just up the road from Buford Highway Farmers Market. The restaurant opened right around the new year, 2018. The Mexican bakery Panaderia Del Valle, located in the same plaza, is owned by the same family. I think the family name is Del Valle. The bread for the tortas at Tortas Factory comes from Panaderia Del Valle. While tortas is in its name, this place serves way more than just tortas. They also serve tacos ($2.00-2.50 each), campesinas (corn tortilla with egg, beans, cheese, and sauce, $4.99), huaraches ($4.99 each), sopes ($4.50 each), gorditas ($4.50 each), quesadillas ($8.50 each), fajitas ($11.50 each), pambazos ($6.50 each), enchiladas ($8.50 each), flautas ($8.50 each), burritos ($8.50 each), nachos ($9.50 each), tostadas ($9.00 each), and entrees like pechuga de pollo asado (grilled chicken breast, $11.50) and chuleta de puerco (pork chop, $9.50). There are blackboard specials too.Tortas (Mexican sandwiches) are the specialty and they have 17 varieties on the regular menu (I saw two more on the specials board). They're priced at only $6.00 to $6.50 each. Beverage-wise, they offer the standard agua frescas like jamaica (hibiscus), horchata (cinnamon vanilla rice milk), and tamarindo (tamarind).A small group of us ordered several items and shared. Here's what we got:* Nachos carne asada ($9.50) - crema, frijoles refritos, queso, crema, tomate y jalapenos* Enchiladas pollo con mole (chicken with mole sauce, $8.50) - lechuga, queso fresco, crema, arroz* Torta Cubana ($6.50) - mayonesa, frijoles, salchicha, carne de puerco, huevo, chorizo, aguacate, tomate, jalapenos, queso fresco* Torta Mexicana (ground beef and ham, $6.00) - mayonesa, carne molida, jamon, frijoles, lechuga, tomate, cebolla, aguacate, queso, jalapenos* Pambazo papas con chorizo de puerco (potatoes with pork sausage, $6.50) - crema, lechuga, queso frescoI also got a medium-sized horchata for $2.50. They offered me free samples of the horchata, jamaica, and tamarindo. They all tasted pretty typical to me -- cold, sweet, and refreshing. Like other Mexican restaurants, they serve their agua frescas from those refrigerated drink mixing machines. My horchata had a little bit of a grainy consistency (not bad) and great flavor (some horchatas, the flavor can be off).Everything was very good. The star of the show was the pambazo papas con chorizo de puerco. The pambazo is pretty much like a torta, but made with a special type of bread (pambazo) that is burnt orange in color because the bread has been dipped and fried in a red pepper sauce (guajillo peppers). This makes the sandwich spicy. Tortas Factory offers two kinds of pambazos, one made with pork sausage and the other with grilled steak (carne asada). The pork sausage version was terrific; spicy, savory, and filling. The crema helps cut through the spiciness. This is the kind of sandwich that makes your mouth water. The other sandwiches were great too. I preferred the Cubana over the Mexicana, but would be happy with either one. The Cubana was stacked high with all sorts of ingredients, my favorites being the roast pork and sausage. The strips of queso fresco were delicious too. The avocado and tomato were fresh and overall, it was just a well-constructed, satisfying sandwich with quality ingredients. The Mexicana was interesting because it was like the torta version of a hamburger. Carne molida is ground beef and that's what you get here. Combined with melted cheese, beans, ham, and more, this is a hearty and gratifying sandwich. The nachos were fantastic. Nothing earth-shattering, just fresh ingredients (like the sandwiches). Real comfort food. The chips were nice and crispy and the pieces of steak were tender. There was a decent amount of both steak and avocado so I appreciated that. They don't skimp. If you like a good mole sauce, I recommend the enchiladas pollo con mole. Tortas Factory's mole sauce is one of the best I've tasted. It's rich, bold, and really appetizing. Generous portion size with lots of crema and queso fresco, which I like. One of my friends got the salsa verde (green sauce) version of the enchiladas and it looked equally as appetizing. Another friend got the flautas pollo (chicken) and really enjoyed them, so all of these seem to be good options if you want chicken. The small salsa bar has salsa roja and verde (red and green), lime wedges, guac, and a spicy habanero, jalapeno, onion mix.$3 credit card minimum."

The sandwiches are smaller than I expected but they are tasty and filling. I tried the lobster (@$12), crab (@$10) and tofu (@$8). The protein comes inside the bread and the pickled salad (cilantro, carrot, onion, cucumber, and jalapeño) comes separately inside a plastic bag. It also came with a small egg roll/spring roll and a piece of Andes mint chocolate. There was also a small container of sauce (Mayo, vinegary and sweet) but I wasn't sure if that was for the sandwich or the egg roll. I am looking forward to trying this again. We ordered the pick two meat plate with chopped beef brisket, jalepeno & oaxaca cheese sausage, creamed corn, and mac and cheese. We also ordered some tortillas on the side. The meats were both delicious and unique. Sometimes BBQ is too dry and this was moist and tender. The mac and cheese was delicious too. The creamed corn seemed unique but I felt it lacked flavor. The tortillas were very surprising in that they were very good. I wouldn't have expected that! We just ordered it for the baby lol. The banana pudding was unique and a perfect way to end the meal. On our vacation in Atlanta we did half touristy stuff, but our main focus was to see the hidden gems that the locals go to. When you first walk inside ECB it looks like an old fashioned pharmacy/soda fountain. All of the employees are dressed to match the theme too. The bagel options are vast. Though they do not have a cinnamon raisin so don't come here prepared for one. You will be disappointed. My partner got a bacon egg and cheese on a blueberry bagel. I got a rosemary sea salt bagel toasted with cream cheese. Both were excellent. Seems this business does a lot of take out as they have an entire wall for online orders. There is not a whole lot of seating inside, so ordering to go might be the best option for some. ECB is definitely a hidden gem and I highly recommend stopping by! They cover all the basics when it comes to what people may want out of a bagel shop. White fish and lox are of course on the menu! One of my favorite items I tried were the egg rolls and my opinion didn't change. I ordered the beef egg rolls and it was a cheesy greasy roll of goodness. We also tried the hot wings and split a cheesesteak. Hot wings were tasty and plentiful. The cheesesteak was probably the most disappointing of the 3 items - bread was softer and soggier than I would have liked and it was just a big mess of meat and cheese and a sprinkle of peppers. It did satisfy the cheesesteak craving... but I wasn't super impressed either. I decided that it was probably due to the fact that I ordered takeout and between the time I placed the order and finally got home to eat it, it may have not been at its prime. Located in the Publix plaza at the corner of North Druid Hills and Lawrenceville Highway, WNB Factory is a small unassuming little spot that offers a wide range of food beyond just wings. However, what got our interest was the fact that WNB uses cage-free chicken for its wings. While not quite organic, we appreciate the fact that this chain is at least trying to use better products. We've been 2 times so far and ordered once through the app (not so great) and once over the phone (much better and easier to order). Our food was ready in about 10 minutes and was pretty cheap considering what we were getting (less than $10 for wings combo). The wings, while not the absolute best, were still pretty solid and the fries (which comes with optional seasoning) were solid. The venue offers Pepsi products (interesting for an Atlanta store), but you can upgrade to a shake for just a couple bucks more. I drove over to the little store for my most recent experience and the cashiers were pulling down Christmas ornaments and greeted me as I entered the store. They were very polite and grateful to see me and gave us a 10% coupon to entice us back next time. I've ordered wings from lots of places and usually the to-go order handlers aren't terribly pleasant, so their attitude was a nice change.Overall, the WNB Factory over on North Druid Hills provided us with a good take out wing experience.
