Seemed odd considering they just opened for the day.Food was hit and miss. I ordered the Jerk Salmon with mixed vegetables. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the jerk sauce was great. However, the mixed vegetables had no seasoning and the mashed sweet potato also had no seasoning."

"This is a fun spot! Perfect for brunch or celebrations. I went on a Sunday just a little after 2 PM and there was a live DJ so the vibes were in full effect. This restaurant also has hookah so I would not suggest for a little children or babies. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor. The menu is pretty salad and the food is delicious. Beware that they do sell a lot of things as the day goes on. It took a while for our food to come out, but our waitress was the best. She was so sweet and gave us a drink on the house."

"I finally made it to this restaurant. And I like it. Parking: street, valet or public parking all around. Most economical was street. 3 hours for a little over $6. Entrance/decor: nicely dressed doorman, valet and staff. Decor is as is from the pictures. Food: we had lamb chops, cauliflower and wings. Enjoyed all of it. I would have preferred the lamb chops a little more tender. My preference. But everything was seasoned and presentation was perfection. And drinks were very good!!!Service: our waiter was phenomenal. I had tons of questions, and she was very patient. It seemed like it was a busy night. There is a lounge upstairs and a private room downstairs. Upstairs was thumping, Dj and vibes was great. I will definitely return."

"If I had to rate APT 4B from 1-10 it would be 100! Every single minute spent here was enjoyable. APT 4B is an intimate, chic, and funky restaurant serving up delicious Caribbean food. Perfect for date night and birthday dinners.Everything here is good. Drinks, food, music, service. EVERYTHING! You have to make your reservation to experience it for yourself. Trust me!Tip: Order the corn bread as it comes with guava butter. They literally give you a loaf, haha! SO good!"

"Eats is such a gem. I'm so glad that they are still surviving despite everything going up around it. The food is simple, affordable, and straightforward you just have to know what to get. My favorite is the Lemon Pepper Chicken. You get a 1/2 chicken well seasoned for less than $7. I normally order that with the mashed potatoes and gravy and a side salad. They used to offer meals but now everything is a La carte. Which is still reasonable priced. Sides are about $3. They also offer pastas like lasagna, spaghetti and ziti. The black beans and rice have no flavor. Neither does the Mac and cheese.Service is minimal. There are no waiters you place your order at the counter and choose from whatever seats are available and once your order is ready you pick it up at the counter. There are guys that come by and clear the tables after customers eat. It's super low key nothing fancy, family and kid friendly. No reservations whole in the wall vibes, but nonetheless a true classic. If you're looking for good food at a great price you can't go wrong with Eats"

"Needing a light dessert, I found this fruit shop on a street corner. The location is closer to both the beltline trail and the MLK complex than I would have guessed.I felt a little silly ordering just fruit and missing out on the coconut cream, but realistically, the reason most of us don't eat enough fruit is convenience. Having some fresh fruit cut and peeled appropriately is not nothing, and in a lot of tropical areas (and in NYC, as of recently), this is quite common. I picked the one I got because it had kiwi in it, but there was plenty of variety and I was satisfied that it was a worthwhile choice.They offer some savory food options as well, and between the coconut cream and the vegan sandwich, this place will work for a lot of people with dietary restrictions."

"This is an amazing authentic Jamaican food restaurant. It is located in a strip mall with tons of parking available. There is a decent sized dining area with a full bar with seating. The restaurant has kind of a hip club vibe, with Caribbean and R&B music playing throughout the dining area. They have live music on weekends.They serve Jamaican food favorites such a curry chicken, ox tail, Jamaican beef patty, curry goat, snapper, rice and peas, sweet plantains, jerk shrimp, and salmon. hey also have some savory signature cocktails to wash your food down.The staff there was very friendly and courteous. I ended up ordering The Jerk Chicken with a side of cabbage and sweet plantains. They bring you a bottle of water and a piece of their corn bread with your meal. It took about 10 minutes for my meal to be ready.The chicken was exquisite, so delicious. There is a bottle of jerk sauce on each table if you are looking for more. The chicken was tasty and flavorful, with a little kick. The cabbage was good, but different than I am use to. This cabbage was crunchy. The complimentary cornbread was really good. It had real corn in it and was drizzled in butter.I really like this restaurant. I like the vibe. I like the food and I like the service. I highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be back soon."

"Me and a friend of mine decided to stop here to get a quick bite. When we arrived we parked in the public lot. We walked in and were greeted and sat at the bar. I started with the rum punch, and it was good. I then had the jerk shrimp egg rolls, and they were decent, just the sauce was a little sweet. My friend enjoyed their quesadilla. The bill wasn't bad and we had a good experience."

"Popped my head into this spot after being next door at M Bar for an event. I love Caribbean food so it was an easy 'yes' when I saw the Jamaican flags in the window. When I walked in, it was so dim that they could have easily been mistaken as closed for the day. But they were actually serving about 7 customers, not including me. Pretty good for a weekday early evening. I wasn't super hungry, moreso, greedy. So I didn't opt for a large dish, as tempting as they were as I perused the menu. The line was moving briskly as it seemed that most guests were waiting around for their plated entrees. Once I was called up to the cashier, I decided to keep it simple and go for a beef patty, coco bread and champagne kola. Always a favorite, simple combo of mine. Less than 5 minutes after ordering, I was called back up and given a hot, huge piece of cocoa bread, a warm beef patty from the display case and I grabbed an ice-cold champagne kola from the fridge. I decided to take a seat and enjoy my food as the coco bread smelled too good to hold off on. Lucky for me, there was a bunch of seating and every other guest was standing and waiting. Upon first glance, I saw that the patty was quite thin but kept pushing. Once I put my patty in the bread (a must), it looked very sad compared to the thick piece of sweet bread. The coco bread was amazingggg, always a fave of mine. But man, there was like, no beef in the patty. :( I was bummed because the flavor was really there! But it could have used 3x more filling to make it a real treat. Although a 3 - 3.5 star experience for me right now, I'll go back one day and try them again and opt for an entree. :)"

"Review coming from a real Jamaican Food was served quickly, prices aren't bad, portions are good -- they have all the classics with some creative twists. Love the music and art inside, plus they have partially insulated patio seating for when the weather is good! Been wanting to try this place for a while and definitely will be back. The veggie patty was delicious and glad that they have coco bread as a lot of places don't anymore. The jerk sauce was sweet and spicy simultaneously, and helped the rice and peas and cabbage. There were pictures of several celebrities on the wall. It's definitely a hole in the wall/shack. I wasn't greeted by the lady at the counter. It was actually kind of weird. She was yelling at one guy to get another guy and it seemed like I was bothering her. I literally almost walked out. Everything looked dry honestly. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas and callaloo. The jerk chicken chicken had a lot of flavor, but I could tell it had been sitting out for a while. The rice and peas and callaloo were decent as well.Honestly, I wouldn't go out of my way to return here at all. The attitude from the lady that I encountered was off putting and the food don't really make up for it."

"I must admit, I often forget about this restaurant until I have to run an errand in the vicinity and see the smoke from their grill and smell the delicious jerk scents. When you enter the restaurant there are bright red and yellow colors and there are a few tables and chairs for patrons to dine in. I tend to stop by during the lunch hours and order the jerk chicken meal, which comes with rice and peas and your choice of plantain or cabbage. The jerk chicken is tasty, but often I find the rice and peas could have more peas and they could give you more pieces of plantain to the order. All in all, it's a decent option for takeout Jamaican food and is convenient when I'm in the area and craving some Caribbean eats."

"I'd been looking forward to trying Mobay Spice for a while and decided to stop in for lunch recently. The restaurant is fairly "cozy" and has a few high tops outside. I ended up sitting at the bar.The bartender was very attentive. I browsed the menu prior to arriving and knew exactly what I wanted to order. I chose the rum punch for my beverage, mango habanero wings for an appetizer and oxtail with rice and peas for my entree. The rum punch was good and strong. The wings were ok, but I was expecting the flavors to be more bold. The oxtail platter was a generous portion, but lacked flavor and could've been more tender. The rice and peas were bland as well and the cabbage was ok.While I did enjoy my time here, I can't say that I would return because I can't justify the price. It was over $80 with tax and tip for myself and the lack of flavors just didn't warrant such high prices."

We ordered a medium oxtail and brown stewed chicken. For a medium serving, the portion was more than enough. The stewed chicken had a little spice to it and a different taste then what I am used to. But, like I said...it was good. The oxtails were perfect, just how I like them. I hate to do this but...Cons: I didn't receive the best customer service at all. The server had a dismissive demeanor and the cashier was on a personal call gossiping the entire time she checked me out. I can tell the staff reacts differently to their regulars ‍The restaurant is carryout out only at the moment so, for the good food and the fact I don't have to interact with employees except to order....I would go back"

"Took a lunch break while getting my hair done. Looked up places near me and thank goodness a Jamaican place popped up. Arrive and I was the only American customer. Great sign. Everyone was a native do therefore the food must taste like home. I ordered oxtail, rice and peas, and cabbage. The rice was delicious and the cabbage as well. The oxtails were tender as can be but the seasoning was surprisingly lacking. The sauce looked thick and rich but it didn't wow me. I should've ordered what the 5 others before ordered. Stewed chicken or jerk chicken I will eat here again when I go back to have my follow hair appointment and try those."

I also got to try the chicken. Super good and almost made me regret my decision.I got the jerk chicken sandwich and a curry chicken patty, and a side of sweet plantains. I thought the sandwich was decent, but a little dry. The patty's curry chicken wasn't as flavorful as my buddy's platter. Plantains were as good as one would expect.I washed it all down with a Jamaican Pineapple Ginger soda. Super good flavor combination I had never had before.I wouldn't hesitate coming back here."

"It really is tough to find bad Caribbean food and I certainly didn't find it here. Hole in the wall in Stone Mountain. Just finished a couple of laps around the mountain and was starving. Stopped in for some to go food. The lady who greeted me was friendly but not much help. Asked for a chicken recommendation (brown stew, stewed, jerk, or curry) and she wouldn't even tell me which was most popular or which she preferred, so I just picked one at random and got the brown stew chicken. Loved it. Tons of flavor, slightly spicy, with delicious rice and peas and coleslaw. I got a small and note for you all-a small is plenty for a good meal. Would have preferred more chicken but I did get a small (there was still a lot of rice though). Regardless, I didn't leave a crumb. Doesn't look like much but worth a stop."

I tried some fries which were good but a tad on the salty side. I can say that our food was prepared in a timely fashion and there was no cost to enter (unlike other late night lounges). I went with a few friends on a Tuesday night at about 2am. There was not much parking available so if you choose to go at that hour then I suggest ubering. I would go back and maybe try a few other food items."

"Dropped by while around the area for lunch on a Monday. It's a cute small spot with a few seating tables inside. It was empty when we got there but quickly filled up for lunch. I got the small goat curry plate with a side of the rice and peas. The plate was definitely packed to the brim and very full! The portions were great as well as the flavor. The meat was very tender and the curry was so well-seasoned. I had no problem scarfing everything down. You can easily see this place from the street and it is a stand alone building that sticks out. The parking lot is half paved.I came in and both menu signs were out. The menus are on two TVs. They did not have any printed menus. Good thing I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the Large Oxtails with yellow rice. They charged 4% for using a credit card. They did not have a bathroom for customers. I got my food and the oxtails were cold. The rice and cabbage were warm but the oxtails were cold with warm gravy. So disappointing. The flavor was good but I expected more of a kick."

"I work at the airport an someone invited me here for lunch on a late Saturday afternoon. Due to Atlanta construction, what normally would have been a 15 min drive turned into 35 minutes. Thankfully this was some of the best Jamaican food I'd ever had.I had the ox tails with rice and cabbage. It was soooo good. I also had one of their chicken patties. That patty was so good Id eaten it before I was fully out the parking lot and through the red light.There is a buffet line where you can see all the food that is available for ordering. The give you a good amount of everything and its good. I don't know what else I can say other than they have good food."
