Um Texas knows about portion size. The pancakes were as big as the Rocks head,Order only one order for two people.It was nice to see that the server (who was also the bartender and cashier) was bilingual. But please check your bill. I really respected the fact that the restaurant highlighted other black owned businesses on their wall.

We came in...a hungry family of five...with less than an hour to closing, but the staff were all smiles and rolled out the red carpet anyhow, making us feel more than welcome. We ordered a little bit of everything and it was ALL amazing. Oxtails, smothered pork chops, turkey wings, spaghetti along with rice, greens, green beans and stewed okra. They can take the salt and pepper off the table because everything was seasoned so incredibly well. From our 7-year-old to the oldest of us, the conversation at our table revolved solely around everyone's favorite this or that! The vibe and decor of the restaurant is a modern spin on an old school diner. My favorite design aspect of the restaurant is the wall that is intended to pay homage and shine a light on the black owned business that have been or are anchoring this community now and for years to come.This is their first week in business, and I'm certain they will be celebrating a successful opening. Get there soon so you can be among the first to tell all of Houston that is soon to be one of the best soul food restaurants in the area.

Food is overpriced and not really good food. Went because it used to be really good soul-food. Couldn't believe I paid $60 for two plates & the food upset my stomach(was old food that they spiced up). Will never go back. They fixed up the place; which was nice but I really don't care how fancy a place is(When I eat I care about the food & cleanliness.

The ambiance of the place was great! Service was a 10/10. Everything was squeaky clean. Food was amazing. I got the Turkey wings over rice/dressing with mac & cheese and collard greens. I've never had a soul food plate where I thought every item was on the same level if not better than if my mom or granny made it. I pray blessings over this business and I hope that the quality and service never changes - I really enjoyed my experience and can't wait to return to try those oxtails! The food is excellent. Service is impeccable and just an awesome place to stop in and enjoy. Great atmosphere, customer service and Food!!

We tried this place as a recommendation from a friend. Food was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Service was just okay, seating was limited.

The food is always on point each and every visit. The staff makes you feel like family and you can eat off the floor the place is so clean.

It was a nice restaurant and the food was good. They dont/didn't include cornbread which is/has been the case at every SoulFood restaurant including the previous one where Wallstreet occupies now. The dessert portion sizes were too small to justify paying $6 each for. Their Steam Table was unique but very useful because it is fully enclosed with sliding see thru glass doors on the server side. This keeps the food heated at a more constant temperature without steam spreading everywhere all day.

Came on a Saturday afternoon. Loved watching the game on the patio and the food was delicious.

Really good dinner we just had with some great drinks to go with. The lady gave excellent service and the atmosphere was amazing!
