Well we were lucky, we were the first to arrive on a Sunday for lunch. After we'd ordered the place quickly filled up. Our food came out in a fairly good amount of time. I recently returned from a month in India and wanted to try to chaat - aloo tikka chaat. My friend loved it. It was fine, not as many crunchy elements as in Jaipur's chaats.I ordered the goat curry. Again, it was good, a good sized portion. My husband enjoyed leftovers of both. My friend had the butter mushrooms and enjoyed.Service was ok, no special touches, no interest if all was good. I had to ask for a water refill. Prices are about the same in most Indian restaurants in Miami

We ended up here for dinner totally by chance. We couldn't find many better rated places near Kendall. The reviews looked great. Indian food and very close to our hotel. We could find a parking close to this place. A very few guests were dining in when we walked in. Couple of staffs were there -greeted us and took us to the table. Ambiance is very nice. Nice lighting and decors done pretty well. We didn't order any drink, settled for water. The lady who took the order was not particularly impressed by that for some reason. Some very good options on their menu. We thought will keep it light. Ordered Aloo tikki chat, butter naan and Saag paneer. By the time, a few more people walked in - couple of big groups. Staffs became very busy helping the groups and managing the take-out orders. We waited for almost 20 minutes. They didn't even serve the appetizer we ordered. When we finally managed to get one of the staffs attention - we asked her about the order. She mentioned the kitchen was pretty busy and our order would be coming out soon. We waited further and then saw the food started coming out of the kitchen - but was going straight to big groups' table. I decided to walk up to the counter when the staffs were handing over some take out orders. She were "surprised" that the food had never reached our table. She immediately walked inside. Couple of minutes later, a staff walked out with Aloo tikki for us. When I mentioned I ordered aloo tikki chaat, he walked unpleasantly back. The same plate came back with crushed aloo tikki with yogurt, chutney and sev poured on top it.Almost 10 minutes later, they served the Saag paneer, but the butter naan was a no-show. At that point, we completely lost our patience. As soon as I raised my hand for attention, that lady rushed back to kitchen and came back with one butter naan, and then served couple of naans later. The make-shift aloot tikki chaat was a disaster. The Naans were soft and nice; Loved the Saag paneer. Great combination. It took them close to 40 mins to get us our food. Despite multiple interventions, they haven't done anything to speed it up. It's totally understandable that the kitchen can be overwhelming when you receive too many orders or a big party walks in. They were so keen on attending the big party, but totally ignored us. I didn't understand that. Gratuity could be a big factor - but that doesn't mean that you insult other customers. The best part of this experience? No apologies, after all these. I paid the bill at the counter instead of waiting for them to bring the check. The guy at the counter casually took the payment, didn't even ask, hows our experience! wow!

I reviewed this restaurant last year and was super unhappy with the service, but I vowed to come back because the food was amazing. Well, I'm pleased to report the service is top-notch now on Sundays, and folks, if you like Indian food, you're missing out if you haven't been . I can safely promise you it will be your new favorite Indian restaurant, best Indian food ever in Kendall! kudos to the owners for stepping up their Sunday staff.P.S. The only thing that was disappointing was getting my Naan bread 15 minutes after the meal arrived. I understand they had a full house, but by the time I got it I was done eating. Keep the food warm in the back & bring together or Naan first. The two ladies I was with waited and of course their food got cold.

This was my first time trying authentic Indian food and it was delicious. Since I am a picky eater I went through the menu before getting to the restaurant and took advantage of the descriptions on the menu to plan my order. The team was nice and the food came out promptly. For drinks, we had the Mango Lassi and White India Paradise. The Mango Lassi has a fresh taste and smoothie consistency and the White India Paradise was refreshing and like a sangria. To start we had the Samosas, this was my first time trying them and I was not sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised, the tamarind sauce that it was served with pairs well. For our mains we ordered the Butter Chicken and Shrimp Tikka, both were amazing, but the Butter Chicken was my favorite, the Shrimp Tikka had a spicy kick even when I ordered it mild. The Garlic naan and Cheese Naan were both so good, but the Garlic naan was my favorite, especially with the cream from the butter chicken. For dessert, we had the Gulab Jamun which smelled amazing but was too sweet for my taste. Overall, Urban Rrasoi was delicious and a restaurant I would try again. I was told by our waiter Lucy to try their Lamb next time and I'll keep it in mind.

This place was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we came! Urban Rrasoi serves up top tier Indian cuisine. The service was great, very friendly and helped steer us on the best dishes for our lunch here on a Saturday. The ambiance is quiant and relaxing, while also having an elegant vibe to it. I had the Lamb Rogan Josh, ordered spicy. It had a great balance of flavor and heat and the dish itself was phenomenal. It paired so good with the basmati rice and their crunchy, garlicky naan bread. My wife had the butter chicken - I tried some and it's the best butter chicken I've ever had. Great food and worth the trip to Kendall. I look forward to coming back and trying more of their great looking dishes - I saw the sizzling tandoori chicken served at another table and it looked mouth watering.

Finding a place like this nearby was very exciting. We grew our love for Indian Cuisine during our time overseas and had been missing this type of food for a while now. It's a small restaurant but we normally go during lunch time and have not had issues, not sure how it is during busier times. We also ordered this week with Doordash and were pleased. My favorites are Chicken or Shrimp Tikka Masala and Chicken or Shrimp Vindaloo. I usually go for the medium spices, yum. As far as naan bread, either one is fine by me. Then again I do love me some bread, so I'm happy with original or garlic naan. Service has been great each time, and I find the Atmosphere to be relaxing. I totally recommend if you are in the area.

Been here more times than I can count and I have never been disappointed. It is my go to for Indian food and definitely the best Gobi Manchurian I have ever had!It is located in a Kendall plaza and the decor inside is beautiful. There is always Indian music playing which I love, and the paintings and the colors and photos on the walls are astonishing. Makes you want to visit India. The service is great. We are greeted properly and they always make sure that you have a full glass of cold water to help with the spiciness of the food. The food comes rather quickly whether you want to eat there or order for pick up. The food. So many different options, including vegan options for those who prefer it, and they are all delicious. I have had so many of their dishes from the butter chicken to the lamb biriyani to the Tikka Masala. Delicious delicious.I've tried all their naan, but the plain one is definitely my favorite. I don't think I've ever been there without ordering 2-3 orders of the naan. It's just too good and it is always fresh. The naan takes the longest to come to the table because it is always made fresh so I definitely recommend ordering a bunch of naan before you look at the menu for your appetizers and main course.Every-time I come here, I get too full that I never get to try the dessert. Hopefully one of these days, when I go back, I order just enough to be able to try the gulab jamun.

When I'm craving for something hearty and spicy, I go for Indian food. And this place was just what I was looking for. Authentic, delicious, and affordable. It's just too bad it's an hour away from my home but it sure was worth the drive. We came here for lunch so we just shared some appetizers and their lunch plates. Started with the Tandoori Chicken Momos and Gobi Machurian. Wow! The momos were sizzling and so yummy and the Gobi was so addictive. For the main courses, we got the Chicken Vindaloo Special and the Lamb Butter Masala specials (see my pics). Each order comes with Rice, Lentils, Salad, Samosa, Chaat, Naan, and Dessert all for less than $20. What a deal and so filling. Perfect portion especially if you're on a time limit. Also, we got an order of the Lamb Chops. Again. Sizzling hot and perfectly cooked. OMG. I'm still drooling thinking about it. Big fan of this place. Good service. The place is clean and modern with good parking but the food is really the star of this Indian restaurant. Just the presentation alone will impress you.
