Haven't been to 27 in years. It was eerily empty for a Saturday night. Nobody was seated inside and only one table outside at 830 on a Saturday night. Strange for a place that was usually packed along with its sister bar, Broken Shaker. But once the food started flowing we were relieved it wasn't because of the food. The place is still grandma kitschy. The play list added a cool retro vibe. Not sure how it went with the Caribbean influenced menu. The griot was delicious as were the shrimp dumplings, to stones and 27 layer lasagna with oxtail sauce. All in all a good experience despite the desolate dining room. Apparently it's closing soon to become a bar.

Came by to Twenty Seven Restaurant over the weekend. I've had some of their bites upstairs in the Eagle Room but they no longer serve food upstairs so we came downstairs and luckily they had space for a walk-in group of 5. The restaurant has really cute decor inside and outside. It's within Broken Shaker which also adds to the experience. We were sat outside. We started with a bottle of rosé for the table, along with a few bites. The wine was good, and the service was also pretty nice with attentive and kind servers. At times they'd forget to bring water to the table but would quickly bring it back once asked. We ordered two broccolini's for the table, 3 kimchi fried rice, a steak, two mashed potatoes. The broccolini was delicious with ricotta and hot honey. Only complaint was hot incredibly small the portion was for the price. Flavor was on point. The steak also did not come with any sides which was a bit odd. The fried rices were tasty, as were the mashed potatoes. Food bad great flavor. The music is loud but enjoyable. Definitely an experience! Would come back to try other bites and drinks on the menu soon.Update: Came back 2 weeks after my visit and the menu has changed. No more broccoli with hot honey and the kimchi rice I used to get increase $7 so that was definitely disappointing but I'm sure there are still some gems on the menu.

We came here to sample the Miami Spice menu, which was totally worth the price. I started out with the mushroom appetizer, which was delicious but just a bit spicy. The short rib was out of this world - came with mashed potatoes and fried plantains. The tres leches cake for dessert was good, but the cake was incredibly dry. The glass of Pinot Noir I ordered was terrible - either cheap wine or a bottle that had spoiled from being open too long.Service was a bit slow, we were out of water frequently. Hated the bench seating we were given, so uncomfortable not having a chair back. The reason I didn't give this place five stars was because of the extremely loud music being blasted the whole three hours we were there, which totally killed any vibe or mood. We even asked if they could turn it down, they didn't. My throat was hoarse from yelling. To the manager/owner - people like to have conversations over dinner. A restaurant is not a nightclub, turn that shit way down or else no one will ever come back to your establishment no matter how good the food. I know I won't because my ears are still bleeding.

Came with another couple for Miami Spice! We each got an appetizer, main course and dessert. There were 4 options for appetizers, 4 for mains, and 3 for desserts so we got to try them all! For appetizers, my favorites were the mushrooms and pork shoulder. The ceviche was a little tough and the avocados weren't anything special. For the mains, I loved the catch of the day. The jerk chicken, kimchi fried rice and the pasta was bland in my option. For desserts, I LOVED the tres leches cakes and panna cotta with pop rocks! What a fun dessert. Overall, I thought the vibes were cute, and the service was great! I'll come back for apps and drinks, but maybe not dinner.

My recent visit to Twenty Seven Restaurant & Bar was marred by an incredibly disappointing level of service. The care and attentiveness from the waitstaff were notably absent, leading to a frustrating dining experience.A particularly striking incident highlighted the level of neglect we faced. After being left unattended for over 15 minutes, my brother tried to order a burger from a passing staff member. Astoundingly, the staff's response was simply, "Oh, I don't do that," followed by walking away without offering to find someone who could assist us. This complete indifference to customer service was shocking and unacceptable. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction significantly detracted from our experience at the restaurant. In a competitive dining industry where customer service is paramount, such an approach by the staff at Twenty Seven Restaurant & Bar is a major letdown.Based on this visit, I cannot recommend Twenty Seven Restaurant & Bar. The poor service alone is a deterrent, making it a place best avoided when there are numerous other establishments that genuinely value their patrons.

Nothing was spectacular. The mashed potatos were bland and the night's special was a bit off on flavors and tastes. Drinks were on point.

Went after 10PM to the second floor, to the lounge/bar. Didn't have dinner there, but discovered the bar when walking around the broken shaker. Cool vibes and good electronic music (chill lounge) with a really cool Miami tropical aesthetic. Live DJ, friendly bar staff and nice little spot to get your dance on if you finished eating or you were hanging out with friends talking over drinks at the broken shaker. Would come here again for a chill night, out with friends.

Cute location and interesting ambience. Would be better if it were a bit brighter. Service was unfriendly and the timing was off. We waited a long time between courses but then dessert came very early. Sad, because the famous pop rock panna cotta had lost all its pop by the time we ate it. Ceviche was a highlight. Miami Spice menu was pretty limited. Overall, wouldn't recommend for dinner but maybe a late night happy hour.

Came here for a group birthday dinner with a party of 11 and we were well accommodated! We sat on the back patio at a few tables pushed together. Do note that they will only split your check onto maximum 3 cards evenly. We started off with wine which was really good. They have quite an extensive wine list, as well as cocktails and beers. The cheapest wines were about $14/glass. Myself and my boyfriend split the oyster mushrooms, short ribs, and the kimchi fried rice. I thought the oyster mushrooms and the kimchi fried rice were decent but we really loved the short ribs! We brought our own cake and the staff was really helpful with that. There was plenty of space by the time we were done for us to spend some extra time hanging out and enjoying our cake and each other's company! We went upstairs to the Eagle Room after which on a Tuesday night was empty but a really cool space!

We came here on a Friday night with my boyfriends team from work, a somewhat formal corporate event. Even though the restaurant had reserved us the entire small room in the back near the inside stairwell, the table placement was a little awkward and L-shaped, so my face was actually facing someone's back. I would have hoped they would arrange the tables so that we were at least all facing each other in some way. They had a curated menu this evening, I'm not sure if it was for our event or that night alone or if that's how the restaurant always works, but the courses were preselected for us. But they were all really good and makes my life easier so there was really no complaints about that over here. They served the food family style and brought several plates of each course to our table for us to share and portion ourselves. They also brought out a punch bowl style margarita for us to all share and another with Moscow mules. We started with the grilled broccolini appetizer, which was my favorite dish of the night bar none. It had this sweet creamy sauce, buttery and delightful, and it might be the best way I've ever tasted broccolini, which is one of my favorite vegetables, and is very hard to find around here. To put it in perspective, I arrived late so when the server brought out a dish of broccolini for me to try nobody else was still on that course so I finished the entire thing alone. Lol. I did try the ceviche, it tasted fresh and didn't smell fishy but it wasn't particularly memorable. The main courses were a flank steak cooked well and seasoned properly with chimichurri and Morrocan stewed chickpeas served with a slightly spicy sauce. They were melt-in-your-mouth soft. Even though The dishes had completely different flavor profiles, they still went well together when you mixed them on your plate. The dessert was very unique. A coconut lime Panna cotta, which had the Panna cotta on the base, and the coconut lime in the form of a jelly. It came with a side of pop rocks, you pour them on and & they instantly start popping audibly and visibly and then again in your mouth like it's 2005 again. That part was really fun, it was interesting and refreshing, but it wasn't my cup of tea for desserts. Some people really liked it though. Afterwords, we checked out the bar upstairs, but it was still early so it was kind of empty. Then we instead went downstairs to the other side and got drinks at the broken shaker and hung out by the pool for about another hour before leaving to go to a club. It was a great way to start our night
