First time here and what a delicious meal it was! We got the beef filet lomo saltado and beef cheeks entree along with the ahi tuna ceviche for an appetizer. Everything was so delicious. The dessert was so cool and creative. Loved the chocolate and rum cake cigar. The service here was top notch from the waiter, who gave out great recommendations, to the staff bringing the dishes and taking the dishes away. They were all so attentive. The dining room was dark but they had this cool little light lamp where it made it easy to see the menu. They also had a DJ playing music, which was ok. I thought it was a bit loud like you are in a club or something. I guess it is Miami.

Inside the intercontinental Miami hotel, definitely expected better food. the burger was just ok, my wife ordered snapper ceviche meal and it came in a little bowl and didn't taste right. We sent it back and the waitress never offered to take it off the bill. 20 minutes later I had to ask for her to adjust the bill and she said she would..My credit card was charged and we left. ( Automatic18% added gratuity as well that nobody ever mentioned) As I went to check out the hotel the next day I found out that Toro Toro restaurant billed me at the hotel for the spoiled fish meal...Thats pretty bad business If you ask me..4 stars on the atmosphere just because its inside the intercontinental..Would never go back..Very shady to bill me for a meal we sent back after the first bite immediately and they knew the fish was spoiled...I just noticed that the managers response to all the negative comments is basically..oh well , not gonna do anything for ya but we hope you'll give us another try.....I mean seriously???

I ordered red wine. They have a vast selection of wine. I ordered a Merlot. See pictures attached. I felt that the price was reasonable. Toro Toro was walking distance from where I was staying, so I did not have to park. There was amble seating. It did not take long for the server to take my order and bring the drink. However I did not mind because the ambiance was great. I loved the indoor lighting. I would definitely come back.

This restaurant is great!! We decided to give it a try during Miami spice. We got to order an app, entree, and dessert for $60. The lomo saltado took a while to come out but it was worth it. The the restaurant was huge so plenty of space for everyone. I enjoyed coming here with my friends, music not too loud, lighting was great, and in downtown if you want to do something else after. And parking was easy!

The wagyu pichana was the best meat I've ever had! The crispy pork belly was amazing as well!! Overall the food was great and I was extremely impressed. The service was great, it did seem like the staff was a bit chaotic but we had no problems. They turned up the music at one point and dancers came out which was fun.

Music is extremely loud even at lunch. Attentive service. Creative and delicious dishes (big portion). Nice decor. But the main problem really is unnecessarily loud and repetitive music which becomes noise. Their prawns are very good. This Toro Toro is located inside Intercontinental Miami in the lobby.

Our first meal after landing in Miami and the only meal we had during our trip where most of our huge group was present! They're tucked away on the first floor of a hotel but the restaurant itself is large and spacious. 14OZ RIBEYE STEAK: We ordered medium rare and the meat was perfectly cooked. Sadly our steak had a lot of fat though, but we noticed that our friends didn't have the same, so maybe we were just unlucky. Our waitress emphasized multiple times that this steak wasn't big enough for sharing, and that we should get one of the tomahawks or larger plates if we wanted to share. In my opinion if you're getting appetizers or sides, the 14oz ribeye is the perfect size to share with 1 or 2 other people. We split it amongst 3 of us, with two sides, and we were still stuffed! We tried some of the tomahawk and lamb from our friends who were seated at another table, but I think the ribeye was by far the best of the meat options I sampled. TRUFFLE FRIES: Strong truffle flavor and perfect amount of cheese. Honestly not sure it was worth the price for just fries, but I would still get it again if I ever came back since it's the perfect side to accompany a steak. FRIED BRUSSELS SPROUTS: Another great side to cut some of the fat and grease that we were getting with our steak and fries. Well-cooked with just the right amount of acidity from the vinaigrette!FLORITA DEL ALMA: Light, fruity and delicious! Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys fruity cocktails. BREAD (COMPLIMENTARY): Their complimentary bread looks plain and unassuming, but it was surprisingly delicious! Maybe one of the best complimentary breads I've ever had. It was soft and cheesy and came with some salsa on the side. We asked for seconds and would have even asked for thirds if we weren't so stuffed from all the food we ordered!SERVICE: Our waitress seemed super annoyed with us in the beginning, and we even saw her roll her eyes at her coworker who had come to ask her a question about how to do something. Later on though she was much friendlier, so it may have just been from the stress of how complicated it was taking and coordinating orders for such a huge group where there were different groupings sharing various dishes. Other than the hiccup in the beginning, service was good and pretty attentive for the rest of the meal. The staff was quick to remove finished dishes, although I think in some cases they may have been too eager. I had to stop them a few times from removing plates that still had a bit of food left on them, and I had a few sips left of my drink that I was planning to finish later, but I suddenly saw it was gone and that they must have taken it away without me noticing. DRESS CODE: Not strictly enforced. Smart casual or upscale attire would probably best match the ambiance, but a couple people in our group were dressed extremely casual (hoodie and jeans) and we didn't have any issues. Overall, a bit pricey, but a decent place for some good steak if you're looking for an elevated meal. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back.

Great date spot in Downtown Miami. Prices are a bit steep, but the food is good. Restaurant is located in the main lobby of the intercontinental Hotel. Dress is elevated cocktail attire. Ambiance is fancy.Great bar for sitting and chatting with tourists and locals. Service we received was professional and courteous.Pro Tips----Menu has season additions (especially around the holidays) that are delicious and worth checking out. --The complimentary cheese bread is delicious. A must try!

It should be noted that one reason Toro Toro seems to have such a high overall rating is because many of the 5 star reviews for this restaurant were quite obviously posted following a Yelp sponsored event that was held here (the photos even show everyone wearing name badges), and several attendees reviewed this restaurant rather than the listing for the event itself.I recently came here for dinner with a work colleague; Toro Toro is located toward the rear of the lobby, just inside the main entrance to the Intercontinental Hotel. I'm not sure who makes up their primary clientele, but from my experience, the overwhelming majority of people at the bar that's located adjacent to the entrance of this restaurant are often either staying here or attending functions at this hotel.Toro Toro was a decent restaurant and is a red meat-centric Argentinean-based eatery. For starters we had the grilled octopus and the guacamole chilindron which was guac with small chunks of pork belly and friend plantain chips. Both were quite good. For our main course we shared the Toro Toro Skewer which is basically this restaurant's take on a parrillada or mixed grill, with no actual skewers in sight. We also had a side of truffle fries which was good and the truffle was (thankfully) not overpowering, as well as the fried brussel sprouts which, to me, were way too rich, sweet and salty. The food here was quite good, but I've had better proper Argentinean elsewhere which was more flavorful, for less $$. If in the mood for steak, I've been to higher-end steakhouses where I've also enjoyed better meals, again for less. Service here was excellent all night from both our server and the bus staff, and the 2 managers who were working throughout our meal checked in on us no fewer than 3 times which was appreciated and something one doesn't often experience, especially in Miami.

Sadly always underwhelmed by toro toro. The insanely steep prices for the low quality food ensure I never come here unless invited by someone hellbent on dining here. The quality of meat is SO poor here I'm always disappointed. I ordered a steak that had at LEAST 4oz of fat on it, which for the price is incredibly disappointing. The small menu also leaves much to be desired. Even when the restaurant is DEAD empty the service is often rude and I'm always guaranteed with a greeting including "do you have a reservation?" And a frown. Please focus on food quality before filling the chairs.
