The Food Spot

Great small family spot great food just like in Mom's house. We really enjoyed it and will return for the oxtails.

I was looking for authentic soul food spot and I came across The Food Spot. I normally wouldn't write a review but I had to on the meal I ordered from The Food Spot. The entire meal was tasty and they give you a healthy portion. The dessert is on a whole different level, I'm still craving more as I write this review. I definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good cooked meals served in plentiful portions.

I wanted to try a new black owned restaurant and I was not disappointed! I ordered seafood gumbo and bread pudding and I ate the whole thing, and it was fantastic. The owner is so sweet and I'll definitely be going back asap!

Loved the food and the service. Ordered pork chops with jalapeño Mac n cheese and an order of shrimp n grits. Bothe are very good portions and the price is right. Highly recommended this restaurant and will def be going back. Kisses to Kizzy

Small place but I promise the food doesn't disappoint. They make everything fresh and have great service, greeted with smiles and welcomes. Very clean place, food was ridiculously great, I got crawfish and they have several flavors, hot n spicy was really tasty. This is the 3rd time eating here but 1st time dining in, we usually order takeout and the quality is just as good either way. Glad I was able to sit down and eat some good food.

I tried this place and it hit the spot! The pasta was so good, i returned within the week. However, the second visit wasn't as good because it was a different cook. All and all, i will return because Here it is a year from my first order and i still remember it! Yummy

Customer Service - A+Taste - A+I would recommend this place to anyone. We ordered about $70 worth of food (shrimp and grits, crab melt, Boudain balls and Mardi gras pasta, crawfish spinach dip) and it was all good. The lady who answered the phone was really nice and called us when the order was ready. She came out when we arrived explained the order and ensured we didn't need anything else. I will be coming back.

Rib-eye shrimp backed potato.I ordered it delivery and what a shame.Over cooked ribeye, tough and not very fresh with 3 butterfly shrimp. I am not bothering to try this place again

Very disappointed with this place. Took too long for food only 1 other table in the place. Asked for pepper sauce lady brought an empty out and said she would look for another, but never brought anymore. When she refilled our tea she didn't put anymore ice! Really your going to serve warm tea!Won't be returning!

Wow took a hour to even get word that my food was not ready and the staff are rude. The amount of attitude and your not even gunna wear a mask properly while cooking my food?!?!?! Big disappointment and let down. Safety hazard for those who are very concerned on PPE issues of the staff wearing it while they make the food. Really over priced and look better in pics. Went ahead and I got Taco Bell instead. I support a lot of black owned businesses and wanted to support some of mine in my area but I can not wait 1 hour to get food. Went ahead and left without getting a refund. Hope I wasted there time making my food and not have anyone to eat it. Some stuff I got were the fried shrimp and fried pickles and the marti ga pasta which is there reason for it taking so long.
