Southern Fire Kitchen

So coming to Atlanta from New York I thought I was going to be up to chin in southern style restaurants that served all the classic staples and boy was I wrong. There were only two options in the area and one of them closed at like 2 pm which is so strange but anyways found this place and even though its located in a strip mall it was actually a nice little vibe inside with a cute bar area. The food was like a 3.999/5 I would have given it the 4 but the seasoning on the chicken could have been a little better and the mac and cheese was more like cheese and mac. The mashed potatoesssss was the winner for me, a little heavy on the black pepper but still yummy. Prices were decent, overall a good place to grab a quick dinner qnd maybe have a drink or two.

For this to be a new restaurant in the city, I have to say that this is one of the most delicious soul food places in the city. I have come many times and I've often wanted to keep this gym to myself as they are very small location and not very busy but now I just have to let someone know.As soon as they sit down, someone is there to greet you and get your drink orders. It is absolutely amazing how fast they are able to get to you without any confusion it speaks to how they operate during their training. I always get the catfish. It is something that I absolutely enjoy when I come, although I always say tell myself that I'm gonna try something different. The catfish is so amazing me and my friends are always in awe of how good it is inconsistently every single time that we come, they've got a recipe for it and it is absolutely amazing to try catfish when they come .The restaurant is very small yes however, it is very accommodating and for the size it does sit quite a few people without feeling so congested. I greatly appreciate the way they have their booth and table seated and gives you a lot of legroom and space if need to walk up to the bar or even to the bathroom without feeling like you have to squeeze in between anybody. I'm hoping that they decide to spread out and put locations all over Metro Atlanta and kind of spread out and get a bigger layout because this is a place I desperately want a little bit closer to Midtown however I will make the travel out to Brookhaven every single time.

The food was good we all enjoyed meals! The collards had a tad too much vinegar for me but I ate them all. Too the yams and cornbread were tasty. $8 per side feel a bit pricey but if you just get veggies it is as much as a platter. The prices may be too high for many so having regulars help them navigate successful outcomes and the taste will bring some back. Music was great but a little loud on a Monday night! The security begged questions but I am use to it in Atlanta not so much my out of town guests lol. Worth a stop in to enjoy cocktails and good food! enjoy the healthy portions and friendly servers!

The food and service was amazing! China took care of us and she was sooooo great! I was in town from Dallas visiting and can't wait to come back!

This place was incredibly good! Free parking and the option to join the waitlist which was a plus. Our server was friendly and attentive. She provided a ton a recommendations which made the ordering process easy. As a table we order shrimp, short ribs, and catfish, oh the famous cornbread. Not one complaint from our party 4! That says a lot, right?!? I'll definitely be back again when visiting Atlanta.

Is nothing like some southern comfort food! There was security outside when we attended on a Thursday afternoon which was surprising because it was about 4 o'clock in the afternoon but I guess it's best to be safe than sorry. As soon as we walked in the ambience was delightful. The decoration lighting the pictures on the wall. Everything was amazing. They also have music playing not loud so it was great. The waiter was great giving us recommendations as this was our first time here so I did appreciate that. There was a little bit of construction going on in the restaurant in the basement I imagine because it sounded like loud banging, but we could not see where it was coming from which I definitely recommend that should be done after hours other than that. Everything else was great.

10/10!! We LOVED everything we tried!! We visited on a rainy Friday night around 9PM and it was the perfect time to stop by. The restaurant doesn't take reservations so we arrived with only 1 person in front of us on the waitlist. Once our table was ready we were quickly seated in a lowkey booth by the front door! Our server was friendly and attentive! GOOD EATS: Fried Lobster Bites 9/104 Krispy Fried Chicken Wings with Mac & Cheese and Yams 9.5/10 Peach Lemon Drop 10/10 I can't wait for my next visit!

Absolutely loved this place ! We got the turkey chops with the Mac and cheese fries and delicious cornbread! The service was extremely fast I felt like we walked in and walked right back out full we weren't even there a full 45 minutes! The ambiance was very nice and welcoming the music options were also great. They played songs that everyone could enjoy . I will be back 10/10!

All the food we ordered was amazing! Service by Selena S was super awesome! Especially with being one of the last to be seated. She took great care of us and made sure our orders made it in.We were hungry individuals visiting from NY/PA looking for some good soul food. We found it and were highly satisfied with everything we ordered! Compliments to the chef(s), too. Comfortable atmosphere and visiting is a must if you haven't yet!

Food is always good and service has not been an issue each time I've gone. There may be a wait depending on the time of day.
