The banchan spread (I can only identify green beans, daikon, kimchi, zucchini. The other two were still quite good though)

This used to be a great place, but in the last few months, their food and service have bad atrocious. I heard that their original manager moved to focus more on the outer loop one. So this one is under a different mgr. In any event, this place needs a major overhaul.Food: spoiled and old. Even the cooked onions were spoiled. My friend got food poisoning. That is how bad the food is here.Service: bad attitude. I asked for a fork, and the waitress snapped at me loudly. So I just loudly snapped back at her that she is not getting any tip.Overall: Find another soft tofu restaurant.

It's the best Korean food in katy. The combo is fairly priced, the food is solid, and the service is sweet. I wish the side dishes had a bit more diversity, but cannot complain too much.I recommend doing the LA Galbi (LA 갈비)and soondooboo jigae (순두부찌개) separate, rather than the combo.Fan of seafood pancake (해물 파전)Cheers!

Is the food worth the not so great service?I'm not really sure what happened the time I went recently. It was my first time trying this spot, I'm not new to Korean food. We ordered within 5 mins of sitting down and there were several tables eating as well. We waited and waited for a long time for a small order. Just one meat and one tofu soup. I had to go up and ask when my food will be ready and I don't like to have to do that. I'm not sure if they forgot to put the order in or what because others were served pretty quickly but we ended up waiting about 40 minutes to get our food and the banchan as well. And they forgot to give us spoons for the soup. Thankfully the food was really great! I really enjoyed all the banchan. The braised potatoes were my favorite. I'd like to try it again maybe with a larger group because it seemed to be more large tables that they were serving quickly and my party of 2 was maybe forgotten about.

if you ask any Korean for their recommendations on Korean restaurants, they always mention this place. It's one of the few places that still offer ban cha. Their Tofu Soup is very good , you can ask for different spice level. I always order for the regular, sometimes with Bulgogi, Galbi or even just the soup alone. Skip the Chinese, Thai or Indian next time and come give this Korean place a try. It's quaint and the service is attentive.

I have to start by addressing some of the other reviews regarding service, (e.g. Servers asking for more tips, bad service")Take these bad reviews with a grain of salt. The servers that work here have a "matter of fact way" communicating that may be off putting to some. If you don't take yourself too srsly and like good food, this place is 100% worth it. Food is delicious-- I tried the dumpling tofu soup and my partner had the kimchi tofu soup. They bring it out with steamed rice along with a raw egg to drop in your soup. You also get some sides like kimchi, broccoli, beans sprouts, etc. The soups come out VERY hot, make sure to drop your egg in as soon as you get your soup. Stir it up a bit and let it sink to the bottom to let it cook. The dumplings in the soup were tasty and I got my 2x spicy which was SOO GOOD. 10/10 recommendThey have a ton of other soup options along with BBQ and other traditional Korean dishes. They have canned sodas, some beer options, and soju. We got the peach flavor! The interior isn't too small but it's cozy! They have cute lightning and paintings on the wall. Overall seemed very clean as well. You can smell the yummy food as soon as you walk in.

This is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Houston. The ladies who work here are very friendly and will take good care of your table. The best part about this place are the side dishes/banchan. My favorites are the braised potatoes, broccoli, and fish cakes. They also give you a small salad before your meal that consists of mainly lettuce and creamy dressing. I highly recommend getting any of their soondubu dishes, cold noodles, and the bossam. I tried their jjamppong recently and while it was good & a large portion I didn't enjoy it as much as the aforementioned dishes. I usually get the beef or dumpling soondubu if I'm ordering that... and if I'm extremely hungry I'll order it with the galbi!

Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon with some friends. The restaurant wasn't too busy and we were seated immediately. We were also greeted upon entry. Our waiter promptly came over and got our drink order, they gave us some time for the food order. The restaurant is cozy, and they have music playing as well as a TV that was playing a show. The restaurant was in a strip center so parking was a breeze. Everything was served hot. I know this is super random to say, but my food stayed hot the entire time, I love that! I got the C2 - Bulgogi Combo (medium spicy) - 4/5 I really enjoyed the soup and the side dishes. The beef was good, but I think the plate was a little too high, which made the beef a little dry. The spice level was great, next time I'll probably go up a level. For the side dishes, I really enjoyed the macaroni salad, the fish cake, and the potatoes. The kimchi had a great kick to it. Overall, I had a great experience. I appreciated the staff coming over multiple times to check in (everyone was kind). The food was good and I will definitely be back!

Waitress asked me to tip 18% because we had 5 ppl. Their sign on the wall specifically says 18% tip for table over 5 ppl, which didn't apply to us. I didn't want to make a big fuss in front of my family and the waitress, so I politely paid. But it's sour in my mind, and I'll avoid taking my family there as much as I can in the future.
