Frodo Joe's Petit Cafe

So delicious! And such a vast array of options. My son remembered this place from when he was younger and wanted to go back for the crepes. He ordered the pizza one and I got a spicy Hawaiian one. We also split a banana Nutella raspberry one. He finished all of his, I finished half of mine and we shared the sweet one. Wow! When my sister and brother tried some of mine later, they "yum"med it too.About a week ago, my friend came into town and we went here together. We shared the classic and the lemon cheesecake crepes. So yummy!!! Highly recommend. They have many drink options too. Enjoy! I can't wait to go again yesh.

I'm going to be honest... I am not a fan. I came on a Friday morning and there was plenty of seating. We were greeted right away. After looking on the menu and becoming overwhelmed with the options, I went with the spicy veggie crepe because I saw some positive reviews of it on yelp. It was pretty bad. Like... I hate food waste and always clean my plate but I could not eat all of these crepe. The fillings were sparse but maybe that's a good thing because they did not go together at all. Sundried tomatoes, pineapples, cheese, and mushrooms??? Admittedly, I did not read the descriptions of the crepe. I just saw the reviews were positive on yelp and went with it. Huge mistake. The sundried tomatoes were clumped together in one part of the crepe, there were two mushroom slices and then these giant chunks of pineapple. There was also this spicy sauce that was not very good or complementary with the rest of the crepe. I'm not sure if I got the dud crepe or what but I'll probably never come again.

Spent most of the day at Sutter Health for doctor appointments and getting labs done. Had a quick lunch break at Frodo Joe's just a few blocks away. Didn't have time for crepes so ordered a BLT sandwich. Generous portion of bacon, shatteringly crisp. Thin slice of ripe tomato. Not the most flavorful but pretty good for November. Never had a BLT with mustard. Not bad but next time will ask for the traditional version with mayo only. Chilly outside and didn't feel like a cold green salad. Wish they offered hot soup as the days are getting colder. Got a fresh fruit side instead. Was not expecting orange slices still with peels on. There were a few pieces of pineapple but they must have run out of the other fruit and gave me the oranges they had cut for garnish. Quality ingredients. Large menu of savory and sweet crepes, sandwiches, and salads with an equally large menu of coffees and smoothies. Cucumber and citrus slices in the water carafe. Nice touch leaving the carafe on the table btw.Server was a pro. She was nice, efficient. Pretty much stayed in the dining room, checking her tables. Made eye contact and promptly fulfilled customer requests. Cute, clean place. Fresh flowers on the table. Jazzy music playing in the background. A cozy place to rest between stressful medical exams. Would have loved to linger buy will definitely return when I'm back in the area.3.5 stars generously rounded up to 4

The last time I tried Frodos was many years ago when I worked in Fremont. Glad the place is still around. Came back during lunch today and was seated right away. I ordered a bacon and avocado crepe with Greek salad. Also a ice mocha with soy. Food came out fairly quick and crepe was nicely crispy and hot. The bacon was very crispy and the pesto sauce went well with it. It was a little too cheesy for me with the mozzarella but overall a good lunch. Greek salad paired well with a balsamic dressing. The ice mocha wasn't too sweet but needed more ice since it was room temperature. The decor of the restaurant is cute and gave me a Thai vibe. I've always been a fan of Frodos so glad quality and service hasn't changed.

Went here with wife and sister. We were hungry and had to be at airport soon. It was close so we went for it. I went for the Bangkok and loved it. Plenty of chicken with a delicious red curry on side. Both the ladies got the classic crepes and enjoyed them. Crêpes were all cooked to perfection. They come with the choice of salad fruit or steamed vegetables. Will be back

Frodo Joe's is very consistent with their crepes. Every one I have tried has been tasty. Today I went for their Brazilian and my friend opted for the USA. Both were stuffed very full and quite tasty. We also both got white mochas- one hot, one iced. Very yummy (the large is very large!). The prices here are fair, especially on the coffees. They have a large variety of savory and dessert crepes to choose from, as well as sandwiches and drinks. Service is solid- i love that they leave a bottle of water at the table. To order you simply scan the QR code that's at the table, and to pay you do the same. The food came out very fast and very hot. It's a nice sized place with outdoor seating as well, and makes for a great low-key date or a nice meal with a friend (I would feel comfortable dining alone here as well).

We got chipotle bean sandwich, spicy crepe and strawberry banana crepe. It was alright. I have had better. Ambiance is bit outdated but the service was fast. Good vegetarian selection though!

Good service and nice unique decor. They have QR codes for menu but waitress was nice to help us order by humans . The crepe meal was a little disappointing in taste coz the crepe itself although crunchy but thicker and tastes more like a cracker than a crispy soft crepe supposed to be. The meat inside the USA crepe was ham, sausage & other lunch meat with sun dried tomatoes (), mushrooms, cheese, etc. These aren't the best quality meats but the veggies were very nice.
