Rubi L. "I've been to Curry Up Now, three times. Which is a surprise because I've been getting pizzas at New York Pizza for years. But myself and my mother "discovered" this little place one day on a walk when we couldn't decide what to eat. And we are so glad we did! We've ordered the big share platter. The Tikki Masala and Butter chicken are just chefs kiss. The naan bread is so warm and fresh out of the oven. We tried their chicken tacos for the first time yesterday and it's definitely going to be a dish that I order for future visits. My mom loves the mango yogurt drink. The very kind lady working the register (I forgot your name I'm so sorry) is always polite and helpful when trying to decide what to order. She gives us such a warm welcome when we visit. I recommend this place 100%. The food is fresh and you can tell they put effort and thought into their ingredient and dishes."

Pranathi B. "Ordered around five dishes- crispy baby corn, chicken lollipop, chicken chowmein, chilli chicken sauce and egg fried rice. I placed my order over a phone call and my order for egg fried rice was misinterpreted as szechwan fried rice. All the dishes tasted almost the same- sweet and sour with a very prominent taste of vinegar. Maybe if I got my correct order of egg fried rice it would have been better. The fried rice had strong overtones of old unwashed rice and was not very pleasant. The salt content in all the dishes was high as well but not enough to be called salty. Some pluses- they have more menu choices compared to other such trucks, meat was not overcooked. My experience this time was close to three stars but rating it at four as I had better experience earlier."

Chicken Masala, Garlic naan (pretty good), lamb curry and Tikka Masala are some main dishes we tried. Make sure to ask if they can make some dishes not too spicy. Felt like every dish we had that night was overly spicy. Flavor was decent. Sankit G. "I think this place makes pretty good North Indian dishes - like chole bhature. The street snacks like dahi poori, papdi chaat, etc are good as well, but they lack a twist in taste, maybe if it could be a bit spicy, had some chaat masala then it'd taste even better. My pav bhaji tasted well, but next time I'd recommend adding some more chili to it, to up it another level. Similar with Dal Makhani and chole. The service is pretty slow but the staff is very nice. We had ordered one dish with no onion and no garlic and we found some onions in the dish so the staff was nice enough to even replace the bhature with chole instead of just chole. Next time I come I'd want to try their parathas with dal makhani."

Anagha J. "10/10 loved the food, ambiance and the service. Despite this being a new place and having not many reviews, there was quite the crowd that trickled in on Sunday evening at ~5.30 PM. The food appeared to be prepared fresh and was the right temperature for most dishes. What we tried:1. Bhel puri - the mamra/kurmura was still crunch with cold chutneys, boiled potatoes , onions, tomatoes and crush puris for crunch. 5/5 2. Aloo samosa - piping hot! The stuffing inside was so well spiced and tasty. Loved the sweet tamarind chutney it was served with. I didn't like the green chutney personally. The cover of the samosa was crispy but had some cracks which makes me think they freeze their samosa and fry on demand. 4/5 3. Bombay sandwich- grilled sandwich with standard Bombay sandwich vegetables including beet root. Some light grated Amul cheese on top really makes this sandwich very close to grill sandwiches from Mumbai. Best so far compared to other Bay Area places doing sandwiches. 5/54. Their newly opened live pani puri station- the puri was crispy and fresh. Ragda was not as hot as expected though, next time I will ask them to heat it up even more. The puri was filled with ragda and green/spicy pani and the sweet chutney was optional which you could add on your own. There is also an option to add chopped red onions and grated carrot to pani puri which is not a thing for Mumbai pani puri but I guess other places in India eat it this way. 4/5 Overall a great new addition to Bay Area and the UlavacharU brand. I am impressed with their diversification strategy on how their original restaurant has the best paneer biryani and a decent buffet, their tiffins restaurant variation has good idli, dosa and uttapam along with good sweets and now this place excels in chaat, other snacks and sweets. I can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu next time."

Vivek K. "I was driving to work when I saw a new food truck I haven't seen before, and I got excited because it was my home food! I went and told everyone on the team that a new truck was here and whether we wanted to try. Some of us even already brought lunch but we were okay with saving that for later to taste some South Indian food, especially made with millets so it's healthier! Usually you use rice and daal, so millets gives the effect similar to brown rice where it has better nutrients and fills you up healthier than regular or brown rice. The beach sundal is a must try! It's pretty simple, yet tastes so flavorful. Right amount of tart, masala, and the crushed poori, fresh onion, and cilantro add to the flavor! The dosas tasted pretty similar to regular dosas, which was such a huge plus and means it's made really well! The chutneys and sambar also tasted super authentic, where the sambar was just a tad too watery to my liking. Very home style tasting and not unhealthy. The pongal was interesting and where you can tell the millets the most, and it tasted pretty authentic as well. I think this is a must try if you like healthy South Indian food and want to try a new food truck in the neighborhood. I think this will gain great traction!"

Jonathan C. "In a downtown, with a ramen or bubble tea shop on every block, it's nice to see an Indian inspired restaurant. I think if I went in with a more fast food mindset, I would have probably been a bit more satisfied with the meal. Sexy fries: The dish really didn't seem well thought out. The sweet potato fries were fine, but the paneer and sauce felt like it was just tossed on. Wouldn't recommend.Thali: we ordered with chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and spinach paneer. I liked how there was different variety, but the flavors of the dishes fell a bit flat. I wished the naan was chewier instead of a pita texture.Haaka noods: If you think of a standard Chinese chow mein, you'll get a decent idea for it tastes. Samosa: The best dish we ate. The pastry was hot and crispy and curried potatoes were tasty. Mango lassi: comes in a bottle so not sure if it is made fresh. Tasted fine. All in all, they try to go for a modern "cool" vibe feel, but the dishes, aside from the samosa, fell flat."

We took his suggestion. We arrived a little after 6pm on a Friday evening. Finding parking was no issue, as this restaurant is located in the Ranch 99 Plaza. When we walked in, we were the first customer and was greeted with a friendly smile and the lady told us to sit anywhere. We sat down and ordered our food. Daughter got her dosa and mango lassi. Wife and I got the garlic naan, andhra chicken curry, vijaywada chicken biryani, and a samosa chaat. Food arrived in a reasonable time. First came the dosa platter with 3 chutney dipping sauce. Then came the samosa chaat. Then the andrha chicken curry. Then the garlic naan. And last to arrive was the vijaywada chicken curry.Everything tasted super delicious. My daughter really enjoyed her dosa and mango lassi. My wife and I enjoyed everything else. The food portion was great. When we were full, we still had plenty of the rice and chicken curry left over to take home. The complimentary chai tea at this place has a distinct sweet after taste, even though no sugar was added. It did not taste like other chai tea from other restaurants, but was still quite nice. I really enjoyed the dosa and the garlic chutney is hands down my favorite dipping sauce. The spice level and flavor on the rest of the dish was perfect for our taste. We definitely will come back again next time we want Indian food."

Salim K. "We recently had Delhicacies prepare and deliver food for a small gathering at our place, and they exceeded our expectations in every way possible. First off, the delivery was a smooth process, dot on time and packaged with such precision. Ankush, who runs the show at Delhicacies came to do the honors and as well left detailed instruction on how to go about preparing one of the starter dishes that we had ordered (Bhalle Papdi chaat that is). The menu we chose included Bhalle Paapdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta, accompanied by Roomali Roti and Lacchay Pyaaz as a side salad. The Bhalle Paapdi Chaat was an instant crowd-pleaser, with the perfect balance of crispy papdi, fresh bhalle, cool sweet yogurt, tangy tamarind along with green sauces, a secret masala powder and a garnish of beetroot , pomegranate and cilantro. All of these were packed separately and instructions were provided (step by step) to prepare the end result which tasted out of the world good. It was refreshing yet packed with flavors that kept everyone asking for seconds. The Cocktail Samosas were golden, crisp, and filled with a spiced potato mixture that made them an ideal finger food--perfectly bite-sized and not greasy at all.For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala (PTM) stole the show with its rich, velvety sauce that coated the tender paneer in just the right amount of spice. The flavors were balanced yet bold, making it a standout dish. The earthy flavor in the paneer made it finger licking good and definitely was the biggest hit of the evening. The Chana Masala had the perfect texture--soft chickpeas simmered in a well-spiced gravy that had just the right amount of heat and tang. Cubes of paneer in there definitely made it a good overall combination and complemented with the PTM.The smoky and flavorful Baingan Bharta added an earthy depth to the meal as well. The eggplant was roasted beautifully, bringing out its natural flavors, which paired wonderfully with the Romali Roti. The roti was soft, thin, and warm, making it the ideal vehicle to soak up the gravies. We did end up heating the rotis in our microwave oven for about 10-15 seconds in batches and they remained perfect in their texture and taste. The Lacchay Pyaaz--freshly sliced onions with a sprinkle of masala--added a crunchy, refreshing bite to balance the richness of the other dishes.Overall, Delhicacies delivered an out of the world authentic North Indian culinary experience with each dish tasting as though it was prepared with care and precision. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and served fresh. Our guests were impressed, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service of delivery. David K. "Tabla Indian Restaurant serves a variety of dishes from across the subcontinent, including a number of South Indian specialties that you won't find elsewhere! Their dosa selection was extensive, and the Onion Rava Masala Dosa was a thin, crispy fried batter made of semolina, rice, and wheat flour, filled with caramelized chopped red onions, and served with sambar (a creamy lentil vegetable stew), coconut chutney, tomato chutney, and potato masala (mashed spiced potatoes with onions, peas, carrots, dal, and cashews). The sambar and potato masala were both deliciously creamy, though the chutneys were a bit lacking in flavor and freshness. The best part by far was the rava dosa, which was perfectly crispy throughout and was complemented nicely by the sweet crunch of the onions."
