"It's nice to have a donut/sandwich shop nearby in your own neighborhood and this place is no exception. I've been frequenting Roger's for years now and have seen this business thrive. There are many folks from the neighborhood coming in on the weekends and workers mostly on weekdays. Their donuts are delicious and their croissants are not your regular type croissants but more of a doughy-donut texture but still good. What I really love is their sandwiches and my favorite is the hot pastrami. It can get chaotic though at times especially on the weekends. To order a sandwich, you must get in line near the cold beverages and place your order. The menu is large enough and easy to read. Choose your bread type and any cheese you want added. A ticket is then printed in front of you and you take that to the cash registers. What is confusing after that point is many people gathered around with no sense of organization. One way to notice if someone has already paid or yet to pay is by looking at the color of their receipts. If you see someone holding a white ticket, most likely that person hasn't yet paid for their food. If you see pink in their hands, they have already paid and is waiting for their food. They also have breakfast offerings but I have tried any of those items yet. Besides the chaos of people standing around, the food makes up for it. Best time to go here is after the rush hours."
"LOVEI went here for a memorial celebration of a lovely man. This was his favorite restaurant and I can see why. The food was excellent, as was the service. The buffet luncheon was wonderful. I liked the chicken, loved the potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables, and of course the pasta, a lovely tortellini in cream sauce. The dessert buffet was epic. I especially loved the intensely chocolate cake.LIKEI really appreciated the covered open patio seating. As someone still trying to avoid Covid and all the other viruses floating around, the airflow helped me feel safer in a crowd of a few hundred people. I will return when I'm in the neighborhood."

"This is a great place to stop by to pick up lunch before you hit the beach. The sandwiches are to die for using high quality ingredients. Everything from the bread to all of the fixings were really good. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good place to stop by for lunch or grab takeout."
"Pretty solid smoked brisket sandwich!! For $15, it was a quality sandwich and very tasty. Location is a little off from downtown, but that helps with the parking situation a bit.I would come back for sure!"
"Unbeknownst to Crust, my closest coworker suddenly passed away this morning. I spent all morning vacillating between shock/numbness and crying. Eventually I decided to order Grubhub for lunch. I wanted something comforting, so I ordered my favorite chipotle chicken sandwich from my favorite sandwich spot, Crust. During my online order, I added a few requests and sent a note that I hoped they had a nice weekend. My order arrived swiftly and when I opened the bag, I saw that they threw in a cookie too. I almost started crying again because of their kindness, without even knowing how my morning went. The sandwich was perfect; crunchy yet chewy, perfectly tangy with the sourdough bread, hearty portions of chicken, delicious chipotle sauce. It never fails me. It's always my go-to when I'm feeling down.Thank you Crust, for adding a slice of brightness to such a heartbreaking day."
"I dropped in randomly and got their famous tri tip sandwich. It's amazing. The staff is friendly and food is delicious. I'll be back whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Yum."
"Came by to order my kid a pretty basic turkey and cheddar and it was delicious ! The bread was so soft and toasted at the same time. Everything super fresh. The flavor was there the quality is there - even for your basic sandwhich. I also had a cup of their chili and it didnt disaapoint - next time I'll try their frito lay dog ! I'll be back -"
"Delicious sandwiches; I got the French Dip, which has a double portion of beef. It was a good sized sandwich - I had to finish it later. Be sure to get a couple of pickles from the jar when you get your order.Be warned - it'll be ready very quickly. These people are on the ball!"
"Great service, quality food and ingredients! I love these guys! I order my BLT on Dutch Crunch WITH avocado! So consistent every single time! And they chop the bacon up so it's in every single bite!"
"Came around 1pm on a Monday and it was not busy. Quick service and my sandwich was made quick!Got a toasted balk on Dutch crunch. I did cucumbers tomatoes onions and pepperoncini with oil/vinegar I enjoy sandwiches from here and the service is good!"
"Thank you MR. KI you are a life saver to me. It was my daughter's 2nd birthday and I was not aware of any bakery out here who would bake customize cake, then luckily I found your bakery. I was bit confused and skeptical regarding my order for the birthday cake. The cake was soo amazing and it tasted so good that all of my guests even took name and address of your bakery."
"Wow! So I stumbled upon this place from googling deli at the airport and then hopped on a bus to get here and walked in the rain and I would do it all over again! This place is fantastic! I came in and they have everything and anything you could want. The atmosphere is so relaxed and feels like I've been here a million time and it's just my first. Better than the atmosphere is the food I ordered the Vincent B sandwich for sit in. They told me to have a seat as they made it, while waiting the gentleman came over and gave me some of their homemade Italian wedding soup which was delicious. Then my sandwich came and wow, this thing was huge and even came with some Mac salad. After slowly savoring my sandwich I had to try the Mac before I got too full and once I started I could not help but finish it. Needless to say there was no way I could finish this gigantic sandwich and I will be taking an entire half with me."

The chaos of Roger's Deli & Donuts on a Sunday really reminded me of the east coast. Around 10AM they were super busy, but very efficient at getting through patrons quickly. Their system was a little confusing, where you order your bagel right away and receive a ticket, but only order your drinks and pastries when you pay at a different counter. I ordered an Everything Bagel with lox, cream cheese, tomato, onion, and capers, and then also got a Thai Iced Coffee and an Old Fashioned Maple Donut. Everything was ready quickly, but I had a hard time hearing the order numbers being called out, since their intercom was very quiet. They did have some seating inside, but the outside had a much more pleasant ambiance, so we snagged a table there. My Thai Iced Coffee was phenomenal - strong, delicious! I highly recommend ordering one of these. The bagel wasn't bad, but was't anything special either. The thick layer of cream cheese was definitely too much compared to the amount of lox. I did love the Old Fashioned Maple Donut though! The texture and the maple frosting were both perfect. Overall, a good experience - would happily return to try more!

First off, the decor and the inners of the restaurant were warm and welcoming. Great spot along the creek and you forgot you were near downtown. The staff was fantastic. Very welcoming and so helpful navigating the menu. The recommendations and paired wine were spot on.Last but not least, the food and wine were great. This is our new spot for Italian in San Jose. Love this spot. So glad we found it.

Garden deli cafe--- located downtown half moon bay! Came here after a long day at the beach! It's a little confusing because I thought it was called San Benito house. It's also connected to a Mexican cantina. Nevertheless-- the food was good! You go inside to order-- they had a wide variety of drinks, chips, and desserts. I got a turkey sandwich, chips, a soda and a brownie. Everything was delicious. I had my yellow lab with me so we had to sit outside. I really liked the fact that they let me come in with her to order, as I was alone and didn't have anyone to watch her outside. The food was really good! The outdoor patio is beautiful! Would totally come back! Also the staff was very nice and respectful!

Soooo sooo good!!! The bread had a crunchy outer layer, yet soft on the inside. I ordered the roast beef and it was two thumbs up!!! It had this sweet bacon jam spread that was yummm!!mmmmmy!!!!Dipped in the warm au jus, this sandwich definitely hit the spot! It is a must try! I will be returning to try the hot pastrami since I heard good things about it as well!!! Tucked inside an industrial section of Milpitas, Crust surely was a great find!

It's been awhile since my last review here, and I gotta say after all these years, Mike (owner) is still crushing the sandwich game! I've been eating his Black-magic tri-tip for over a decade now, and it's been the most consistent and tastiest tri-tip sandwich you can find in the area. Get it on Dutch crunch, add some jalapeños and it makes for one delicious meal. If you are feeling extra extra, get a double meat sandwich and enjoy the nap afterwards! For Parking..:There's a small driveway that leads to the back of the building, with a few parking spots marked as carrolls. Never have had a hard time to getting a spot, running in and grabbing my food. Since my last review, I hired Mike to cater a huge bbq and he was able to come out to San Bruno park and bbq on-site. He's a super busy guy, so if you need him to cater a bbq, he's easy to work with, works within your budget and knows how to portion things out based on your attendance. Highly recommend as his food was a hit for the party!

If I had to power rank delis/sandwiches in South San Francisco, Subculture Deli takes the top spot on my list. And yes, I've eaten at the other popular spots multiple times, and for me it's not even close. The owner was saying they make every sandwich like it was for his mom, so you know he's not playing around. I love you when a business talks a big game about their food and backs it up every time. Quality flavor, meats, and damn good chili. What more could you ask for? This latest visit I decided to go with the bbq cow palace. Normally bbq sauce in a sandwich can be hit or miss, and subcultures, hits. It doesn't look like a huge sandwich but it's super filling. The toasted bread is always a plus, and it was devoured in minutes. No trip to subculture would be complete unless I get an order of their chili. It's easily the best tasting chili I've eaten in the bay. You can purchase by the gallon, which would be perfect for a football Sunday or game day eats at home. The hot sandwiches can take some time to make, and it's worth it. If you are in a rush or time crunch, definitely call ahead instead of ordering in person. They've been around for almost 14 years, and it's still one of the best hidden secrets. If you love sandwiches as much as I do, subculture should be on your list to try!

"cute shop in Burlingame! Small with a few seatings but the prices are amazing! While little luccas is still a go to place - i was looking for something less gigantic and it would also be nice to try something new.Found this place but there werent updated menu prices, i even checked out their website and im like...oh man...its going to be like hiked upGot here and to my surprise, the prices were the same as their website, you really cant get anything less than 15$ these days so this was a joy.I really wanted a nice toasted sandwich, so i opted for a pressed sandwich and got myself a safe choice of the BR Chicken - which is chicken, racon, ranch with pepperoncini and swiss on dutch crunch. I added red onions at no extra cost! Was the sandwich the size of a firstborn - no but it was a good size for lunch without food coma (the size of my forearm)And the bread....PERFECTLY crunched, you can definitely do the ASMR with it. It was hot, it was melty, it was pressed! The portion of the ingredients were balanced, not really too much of one or the other and the chicken was sliced pieces so its not one whole breast. The ranch was not super creamy thick so it didnt overpower the cheese. I enjoyed it very much. I do wish they gave me a bit more pepperoncini and onions but thats a preference.2 sandwiches - less than 30$will definitely come back!"
"Stuck at a car service center nearby. Luckily Yelp handily served up this suggestion within walking distance. This sandwich spot is in the middle of a bunch of businesses / offices. Not too hard to find though since there're some large umbrellas at an outdoor seating area right outside. The ordering and pick up was easy. There're 2 touchscreen kiosks inside to order. I waited only about 5 minutes and got my Top Round Pastrami Sandwich and potato salad. The sandwich was delicious. It was quite large and in hindsight, along with the potato salad was really too much food. Definitely seemed like a grab and go place. I didn't see anyone actually sitting down there to eat. Would recommend if in the area."
"My visit to Caffe Stellato left me pleasantly surprised with its fresh and flavorful offerings. Opting for the petto di pollo sandwich, I found the combination of ingredients on Dutch crunch bread to be a delightful combination of textures and flavors. However, the only downside was the lack of meat, leaving me craving for more.In addition to the sandwich, I indulged in some snacks, including truffle potato chips and a bag of chamoy flavored dry freeze Skittles, which added a unique twist to the dining experience. While the portion of meat in the sandwich was lacking, the overall quality and taste were impressive, leaving me eager to return and sample other popular sandwiches on the menu.Overall, Caffe Stellato offers a promising culinary experience with fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations, making it a destination worth revisiting for more delicious sandwiches and snacks."
"Best hot sandwiches in Fremont, great source for chicken with no antibiotics/steroids, and the staff is very kind. A must try for lunch if you're in the area. No seating, so its a to-go experience."
"Welcomed by friendly staff! Small place with about 2 places to sit inside. Good size menu to choose from with reasonable priced menu. There were 3 of us in the area for work and each had a salad and sweet potato fries. Fries should've been a bit crispier but love the sweets, and they were still delicious! Salads were robust & flavorful!"
"Shockingly good! While in the area for work I was lookig fr a change from a week of fast food and found Sandwich Mill Deli on a quick Google search, didnt think much of it when I parked in front but the moment I walked in I knew it would be the best choice f my week for sure! The couple behind the old schol counted were so incrdibly nice and made my #13 Italian sub fresh as I was standing there, the bread soft and smelled so good! I could barely make it to a chair before my diving in and each bite packed with flavor! Their cold cut are fantastic! I wish I knew for sure when I will be back n the area so I could guarantee myself a return visit! Dont be swayed by the looks, the food is amazing and the staff wonderful! Five Stars!!"
"This has become my go-to market recently for eggs because the larger chain grocery we frequent increased their prices significantly. Then I discovered Zanotto's has Hoisin Sauce that I can't find at the larger store. Plus they offering local baked goodies like Beckman's Pies (Santa Cruz) and smaller fruit tarts from Douce France (Palo Alto). Their produce section offers smaller portion size veggies such as a small head of cabbage we bought during the holidays because we only needed some as a platform for steaming dumplings. Last but not least, it's convenient to shop here because it is less crowded which makes check-out faster."
"Wasn't sure what to expect but was really pleased with the meatball sandwich. Very moist, well seasoned, appropriate amount of tart marinara, nice soft fresh bread -- and less than $10 (I think $8 if I recall correctly). Split one with my husband but we were fighting over it at the end. We also got some long links of chorizo that look very promising for a very good price. Will be back for sure, next time for two sandwiches!Deli supplies are more convenience store style items so manage your expectations there and head straight to the deli counter."
"YO. This spot is it. Hidden gem in the business district of San Jose. Not really an eat in place but there are seats. It's more an order to go spot with quick and pleasant staff. These were the best sandwiches I've had in quite some time. The hot pastrami special with the peppercinis is one of the best I've ever had, only really beatable by Katz in NY and I could even make that argument. I'm not exaggerating. The French Dip was fire too but if I'm going back I'm getting two hot pastramis instead. I think of it often but I don't work in the area, which is the only negative. Maybe that's my jobs fault and not theirs"
"I was considering catering for my kid's b-day party and this was one option. We went here and had a round of hot dogs and we both enjoyed it. So, we were told to get in touch with Kevin and worked to plan the menu. We settled with a variety of hot dogs, tri-tip sliders, and salads to round out the party. On that day, Kevin came through with a hot dog cart full of the food we discussed and had a blast. Food was excellent, my daughter had a great time, fun time was had by all who were there. The quinoa-edamame salad was a surprise and enjoyed by all. I plan on coming back the next time we're in the area. Thank you so much Kevin and the team!!"
"Breakfast is amazing here. The service is top notch. Favorite place to go on work days."
"This is our favorite sandwich place whenever we are at downtown Sunnyvale & want to eat sandwiches. We ordered couple of sandwiches Togo during lunchtime... You can choose your bread for the sandwich and u can also opt for full or half sandwich with soup ( combo) The Pesto ChicHot Chicken, Mozzarella & Basil Pesto w/Mayo, Dijon Mustard, Herbed Olive Oil, Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes & Red Onions we choose on whole wheat bread. Rotating special- Horsin' Around- tri trip sandwichWe choose Dutch crunch breadBoth the sandwiches very delicious as always. We love their quality & yummy taste. It was quite filling very generous portions. We have tried many different flavors of sandwiches from the time they opened their doors at Sunnyvale location... it's a beautiful addition to the downtown amongst the various food choices we have. They also have outdoor seating!!!"
"Okay best sandwich ever but you gotta do it a certain way. Hear me out.... It's kinda a portofino but not. -Sourdough sliced bread (double toasted) (if you don't get it toasted it'll be soggy) -deli Turkey - pesto -La Ensenada sauce -pickled jalapeños (for the extra spice because the la Ensenada sauce has a spice to it)-provolone cheese (melted)- finish with sprouts"
"Crust is always a super reliable place to go for lunch. They have online ordering which makes it easy to take a lunchtime walk, swing by and pick up your sandwich to eat. They're always exceptionally friendly, on time and the food is well prepared. We've also eaten on premises and it's tidy with enough seating indoors/outdoors for a group of 8-10. I recently had a VERY last minute catering request and they were able to support that and were super friendly throughout the process. Totally recommend :)"
"So glad to have stumble upon this restaurant! When visiting, I usually order Tofu/Lemongrass Tofu Vermicelli and it's so flavorful. The vegetables are so fresh and the sauce compliments everything so well. By far one of the best tofu vermicelli I've ever tasted. Usually, a lot of places make them so bland but here, it's very flavorful! The owner is also very welcoming and so nice!!!!!! :)"
"My husband brought home sandwiches from here three times in one week. They must order their Dutch crunch from a sorcerer because that bread is magical. Their sandwich combos are pretty amazing--did I mention we had their sandwiches three times in one week?We had to stop because we were getting addicted. We are looking forward to the next time we treat ourselves to a sandwich from The Boys Deli."
"It was pretty aight, I'll tell ya hwat!Definitely a paddy whacker, whatever that means! I'll tell you what it means - it means after eating half of it I was like, "Yo dang, I am satisfied with the amount that I have eaten and could easily take the rest of this to go for later!"But we all know the half life of samsquanches is only 20 minutes and it is an exponential decay, baby!!So I paddy whacked the smack outta that second half. Was I full? Definitely. Did I hate myself? After every meal cuz I don't have a thing called "Self-Control." Only pure rage. The place is huge. Looks more like a lounge than a samwonch sellery. I'd be back. Especially after they get their liquor license."
"this small deli serves amazing sandwiches local to Belmont, but with elite service and food, i would make a drive out here from walnut creek any day of the week. i ordered their ham / salami / pepperoni sandwich, filled with protein and veggies alikethe ambiance inside is tranquil and neat; in fact, the neighborhood itself is very nice and chill, with Two Cousins Deli close to residential areathats one hell of a sandwich id recommend"
"Excellent atmosphere and friendly service make this Mom and Pop type of deli a real treat. It's located right across from Ohlone College, and I recommend the beef gyro. The freezes are a treat as well, and they come with caramel, vanilla, or hazelnut syrup by request.I wish they were open on Sunday (for a relaxing day off with eats), but if you can make it during the week, or on Saturdays before they close, you won't be disappointed.* Note, there is no public restroom, so keep that in mind if you're planning to stop off and sit and eat, while socializing for a while."
"Marsha's Lunchbox cafe is clean and bright with super friendly staff. They are open and offer nice outside seating. We had a lunch for take out. They have a variety of options on the menu such as salads, grills, soups and sandwiches. We tried chef salad and chicken salad sandwich and they were very delicious and fresh with generous portions. I highly recommend this hidden gem of a place and we will definitely come back again. Don't forget cookies for dessert."
"Brb, drooling!!! This really satisfied my sandwich craving! The soprano was delicious; meat super flavorful, saucy and Dutch crunch bread was amazing! I love when the Dutch crunch has a good crunch without scraping the top of your mouth off. Delicious and will def be back!"
"I love the mom and pops storefront and as soon as you walk in -- you could feel a great sense of family and community. The nice ladies running the front of the house have a great sense of urgency and move the lines quickly and efficiently. We did some grocery shopping next door so stopped in for a sandwich and coffee as I was beginning to feel hungry. The menu boards feature a variety of Banh Mi and there are lots of party tray options available also (note taken for my next potluck invite!). Aromas from the freshly baked bread envelopes your senses as soon as you walk through the doors, and I'm here for it!Banh Mi was good. Looking forward to returning in the near future."
"Just moved into the alameda building in May and was pleasantly happy to see a nice little kiosk setup...they have a set menu but will customize your order. Love the hash browns, croissants, home baked goodies and muffins for breakfast.Great selection on salads...chicken caesar salad and veggie salad are my faves. And if you need an afternoon booster, they have delish smoothies.Glad they made it through the pandemic :)"
