"Believe the hype!!!EVERYTHING here is absolutely delicious!!! Came to Santo after hearing tons of amazing reviews about their poke and daifuku mochi-I've now been here in several occasions but never get there early enough to try the mochi...But the poke is AMAZING!!! We usually get half shoyu and half spicy. It's so, so good! So fresh and the flavor is always perfect. Finally tried the garlic shrimp plate & ask I can say is WOW!!! Parking can be tough during lunch time- they have a lot but there are always so many people that spaces fill up quickly but be patient- it's worth it!!!"
"Brb, drooling!!! This really satisfied my sandwich craving! The soprano was delicious; meat super flavorful, saucy and Dutch crunch bread was amazing! I love when the Dutch crunch has a good crunch without scraping the top of your mouth off. Delicious and will def be back!"

"Its a small stall inside the grocer. They have food ordered to go and a few table for diners. I love the bibimbap that they served with a small soup and banchan but it wasnt enough for me. If you go get food from the buffet stalls you have to pay for it in the front counter, not the cashier in the deli. She will give you the look and then tell you where to pay for it. I enjoyed eating there but i'd prolly go to somewhere where there is more banchan and food more the money's worth."
"Just picked up breakfast from here about an hour ago and it was so good I had to write a review right away! I got a breakfast crunch wrap with meat and avocado and it was hefty, filling, and so good. My crunch wrap had chicken, sausage, avocado, cheese, potato, sour cream, and salsa. It was a great amount of food and well flavored, perfect kick for a Southwest flavor to it. It even stayed crispy through my 10 minute walk home. The owner and staff were also super nice. I wasn't a huge fan of their avocado toast previously, but now that I know about this breakfast crunch wrap, I'm gonna need to come back for it. It would make the perfect pre-hike breakfast!"
"Thank you MR. KI you are a life saver to me. It was my daughter's 2nd birthday and I was not aware of any bakery out here who would bake customize cake, then luckily I found your bakery. I was bit confused and skeptical regarding my order for the birthday cake. The cake was soo amazing and it tasted so good that all of my guests even took name and address of your bakery."
"Came by to order my kid a pretty basic turkey and cheddar and it was delicious ! The bread was so soft and toasted at the same time. Everything super fresh. The flavor was there the quality is there - even for your basic sandwhich. I also had a cup of their chili and it didnt disaapoint - next time I'll try their frito lay dog ! I'll be back -"
"OK. THIS IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN SOUTH CITY. HANA'S HAS: 1.THE BEST ASADA STREET TACOS 2. THE BEST LASAGNA IN THE PENINSULA (I AM NOT EVEN KIDDING) 3. THE BEST CHOW MEIN ON WEDNESDAYS and the list goes on. Offering Mexican sodas and other goodies, this spot is AMAZING! If you try the asada tacos and feel that there is a better place in south city I will pay for your meal. If you try the LASAGNA and you tell me that you have had a better one in the peninsula I will be surprised. On Wednesdays, they do a delicious CHOW MEIN that I like to mix with their fresh veggies. SO DELICIOUS AND GOOD FOR YA! The key here is that they do everything fresh and never frozen. ;-)"
"The food is so good. I felt like I was back in a New York deli. The food is so good. I felt like I was back in a New York deli."
"this small deli serves amazing sandwiches local to Belmont, but with elite service and food, i would make a drive out here from walnut creek any day of the week. i ordered their ham / salami / pepperoni sandwich, filled with protein and veggies alikethe ambiance inside is tranquil and neat; in fact, the neighborhood itself is very nice and chill, with Two Cousins Deli close to residential areathats one hell of a sandwich id recommend"
"Pretty solid smoked brisket sandwich!! For $15, it was a quality sandwich and very tasty. Location is a little off from downtown, but that helps with the parking situation a bit.I would come back for sure!"
"I tried Godfather sandwich and lobster bisque soup. Many kinds of meats were inside the sandwich and good size! Very quick serving!"
"Just moved into the alameda building in May and was pleasantly happy to see a nice little kiosk setup...they have a set menu but will customize your order. Love the hash browns, croissants, home baked goodies and muffins for breakfast.Great selection on salads...chicken caesar salad and veggie salad are my faves. And if you need an afternoon booster, they have delish smoothies.Glad they made it through the pandemic :)"

BEST poke in the Bay Area (or at least in South Bay). Prove me wrong. I usually order a medium for the shoyu ahi and spicy ahi. To avoid long lines, just order online.I've tried Aloha Fresh multiple times due to many people saying it's super close to Hawaiian poke, but I found the poke there a little bland compared to Santo Market's. Major disclaimer: I'm not trying to drag a business to bring one up.I just thought that was an important point to bring up since it's all subjective to taste. Overall, cannot go wrong with Santo.

Taking over the space of the beloved Greedy Ant Gourmet. Belmont Deli has big shoes to fill, but they're off to a great start! As a devoted sandwich enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of trying the 4-Alarm Firesmith sandwich. Firesmith chicken, bacon, jalapeño pepper jack cheese, and fiery chipotle gourmaise--all served with the works.I customized mine with dutch crunch, creamy brie cheese and pesto sauce. The choice of having it served hot was a no-brainer--I wanted those flavors to meld together. The verdict? The sandwich arrived piping hot and toasty, just as promised. The Firesmith chicken was tender, and the bacon added that smoky goodness. The jalapeños and pepperoncini provided the perfect kick without overpowering the other ingredients. If you're craving a hearty sandwich, give the 4-Alarm Firesmith a try. You won't be disappointed!Looking forward to trying their many other offerings!

Located inside the Hankook Supermarket, Hankook Super Deli is a small food stall that offers various Korean street snacks to go, such as kimbap, kimchijeon, and tteokbokki.I picked up a couple trays of beef kimbap here on 06/05/2021 while shopping at the market. The total was $15. The lady owner who helped me was friendly. I ate them when I got home. Overall, the taste was okay. They were nicely wrapped but the flavor was a little bit bland. The quality was definitely better than the ones sold at The K Market, but not as good as the ones at Sodam in Dublin. For me, Sodam is still my go-to but this place is A-OK, especially if you have a sudden hunger attack while shopping. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4 because of the nice owner.

TBH, I wasn't expecting anything different than other avocado toast places but this place is sooooooo much better than the others! They do not skimp on the portions! You will be full and satisfied here! The staff are very friendly and the music is a vibe! This made my trip from Oakland in the rain worth the drive! Extra story time: I asked my sister if I should go to the avocado place or Jack in the Box to grab something quick. She said the avocado place. I responded that usually avocado toast I have gotten from restaurants been kinda bland. She replied that has not been her experience. I said, "Ok, I'll go to the avocado place but if it's not good, I'm coming for you!" She said, "Don't come for me! That's on you!" After the first bite, I called her immediately and said, "Crisis averted! You're safe! It's super delicious! Did you get the picture of the toast I sent you!?"

The owner has changed. Now it is a Colombian bakery. The quality has changed too. It was obvious that many of the pastries were not freshly baked, and they were at least 1 day old. The ambiance is not bad, it is a typical bakery. The prices were high for that quality.

If I had to power rank delis/sandwiches in South San Francisco, Subculture Deli takes the top spot on my list. And yes, I've eaten at the other popular spots multiple times, and for me it's not even close. The owner was saying they make every sandwich like it was for his mom, so you know he's not playing around. I love you when a business talks a big game about their food and backs it up every time. Quality flavor, meats, and damn good chili. What more could you ask for? This latest visit I decided to go with the bbq cow palace. Normally bbq sauce in a sandwich can be hit or miss, and subcultures, hits. It doesn't look like a huge sandwich but it's super filling. The toasted bread is always a plus, and it was devoured in minutes. No trip to subculture would be complete unless I get an order of their chili. It's easily the best tasting chili I've eaten in the bay. You can purchase by the gallon, which would be perfect for a football Sunday or game day eats at home. The hot sandwiches can take some time to make, and it's worth it. If you are in a rush or time crunch, definitely call ahead instead of ordering in person. They've been around for almost 14 years, and it's still one of the best hidden secrets. If you love sandwiches as much as I do, subculture should be on your list to try!

Had lunch here on a Thursday afternoon. Came for the chocolate chip cookies that were recommended to me, but the breakfast menu items were too tempting to resist, so I ended up having a meal here, then taking some cookies to go.Loved the casual feel inside the restaurant. You order at the front counter and take a number to your table, then they bring it out to you. I stood in line to order for about 3-5 minutes, with just a few customers in front of me, and the wait for my food was about 10 minutes or so, however the cookies were served instantly as they had these ready at the counter. Got the french toast combo (2 slices french toast, with eggs and sausage), 3 of the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and a chocolate dipped peanut butter cookie. Everything was yummy, savory perfectly cooked sausage, plain scrambled eggs as requested, fluffy french toast slices that tasted like sourdough and were just uniquely delicious. The two slices were large and filling, and it came with a cup of butter on the side, plus they had sugar free syrup which is a big plus for me. The famous chocolate chip cookies have the sweet taste of raw cookie dough if you like that (though it's not actually raw, it's definitely cooked)... a tad too sweet for me but still good. The chocolate dipped peanut butter cookie was more to my liking, tasty and chocolatey without the feeling of sugar overload. All of the staff here were very friendly and welcoming. And parking wasn't difficult to find in the parking lot out front shared amongst the businesses in the plaza. I'm glad to have discovered this spot, and with such an extensive menu, I'll definitely be back to try more.

"LOVEI went here for a memorial celebration of a lovely man. This was his favorite restaurant and I can see why. The food was excellent, as was the service. The buffet luncheon was wonderful. I liked the chicken, loved the potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables, and of course the pasta, a lovely tortellini in cream sauce. The dessert buffet was epic. I especially loved the intensely chocolate cake.LIKEI really appreciated the covered open patio seating. As someone still trying to avoid Covid and all the other viruses floating around, the airflow helped me feel safer in a crowd of a few hundred people. I will return when I'm in the neighborhood."
"Sipi curry wirh Manoike were great. Home cooked meal. Delicious. I would definitely try it again. Hit the spot"
"The ambiance is OK. It's like a deli market; you order your sandwiches at one counter, and order coffee & pay at another counter. The service is great- super friendly. We ordered heaven on earth (roast beef, bacon, cheese, avocado, pickles, lettuce tomatoes) on a Dutch Crunch roll. It was really yummy. The bread was soft and crunchy. Veggies were fresh. Very good sandwich for a very reasonable price."
"Okay best sandwich ever but you gotta do it a certain way. Hear me out.... It's kinda a portofino but not. -Sourdough sliced bread (double toasted) (if you don't get it toasted it'll be soggy) -deli Turkey - pesto -La Ensenada sauce -pickled jalapeños (for the extra spice because the la Ensenada sauce has a spice to it)-provolone cheese (melted)- finish with sprouts"
"Excellent atmosphere and friendly service make this Mom and Pop type of deli a real treat. It's located right across from Ohlone College, and I recommend the beef gyro. The freezes are a treat as well, and they come with caramel, vanilla, or hazelnut syrup by request.I wish they were open on Sunday (for a relaxing day off with eats), but if you can make it during the week, or on Saturdays before they close, you won't be disappointed.* Note, there is no public restroom, so keep that in mind if you're planning to stop off and sit and eat, while socializing for a while."
"Came around 1pm on a Monday and it was not busy. Quick service and my sandwich was made quick!Got a toasted balk on Dutch crunch. I did cucumbers tomatoes onions and pepperoncini with oil/vinegar I enjoy sandwiches from here and the service is good!"
"Such a sweet little market packet full of high quality foods. Beautiful meat department, however when I called to get Prime cuts for the holiday I was told the best beef they sold was a Choice grade, "You won't know the difference." Something to keep in mind. The prepared food selection is huge and the deli is always ready to make a custom sandwich for you.If only there was a nice spot to eat outside. It's on a busy intersection surrounded by parking. It's not uncommon to see horses, bicyclists and walkers."
"Delicious, FRESH, ingredients every time. I've been coming here for a while now and have not been disappointed. My go-to is the bacon breakfast burrito which has a tortilla with melted cheese, eggs, perfectly cooked hash browns and bacon. They are not cheap and pack the burrito. The food taste homemade and all their ingredients are fresh. They do not use fake eggs like most places do. This is a hidden gem for sure. The place does not look like much from the inside but the cooks are super welcoming and always happy to make your food."
"This place is bomb, love the sandwiches here. Hidden gem on the hospital campus, just wish it was open nights & weekends. Sandwiches are huge and they have a great selection to choose from as well as awesome toppings. There is usually a line out the door but the staff are friendly, efficient & hardworking so it moves along. They also have a good selection of drinks, chips & sweets. Cheaper than the hospital cafeteria for sure."
"It was pretty aight, I'll tell ya hwat!Definitely a paddy whacker, whatever that means! I'll tell you what it means - it means after eating half of it I was like, "Yo dang, I am satisfied with the amount that I have eaten and could easily take the rest of this to go for later!"But we all know the half life of samsquanches is only 20 minutes and it is an exponential decay, baby!!So I paddy whacked the smack outta that second half. Was I full? Definitely. Did I hate myself? After every meal cuz I don't have a thing called "Self-Control." Only pure rage. The place is huge. Looks more like a lounge than a samwonch sellery. I'd be back. Especially after they get their liquor license."
"cute shop in Burlingame! Small with a few seatings but the prices are amazing! While little luccas is still a go to place - i was looking for something less gigantic and it would also be nice to try something new.Found this place but there werent updated menu prices, i even checked out their website and im like...oh man...its going to be like hiked upGot here and to my surprise, the prices were the same as their website, you really cant get anything less than 15$ these days so this was a joy.I really wanted a nice toasted sandwich, so i opted for a pressed sandwich and got myself a safe choice of the BR Chicken - which is chicken, racon, ranch with pepperoncini and swiss on dutch crunch. I added red onions at no extra cost! Was the sandwich the size of a firstborn - no but it was a good size for lunch without food coma (the size of my forearm)And the bread....PERFECTLY crunched, you can definitely do the ASMR with it. It was hot, it was melty, it was pressed! The portion of the ingredients were balanced, not really too much of one or the other and the chicken was sliced pieces so its not one whole breast. The ranch was not super creamy thick so it didnt overpower the cheese. I enjoyed it very much. I do wish they gave me a bit more pepperoncini and onions but thats a preference.2 sandwiches - less than 30$will definitely come back!"
"Been coming here for lunch due to having work down the street. Ive been able to come in, get a sandwich and drink w/ chips for about $16.99. Not too bad for a San Jose Deli. I've only ordered two or three sandwiches and the BBQ Chicken + California Club are really good hot pressed Sammy's. The people who work here are super nice and always able to help your needs. Very family oriented, and quick with your order. The young man working there has given me samples of different products while I've been in there for my lunch. Awesome guy and I love coming back here! 5 Stars."
"Great quick lunch stop! The staff are always friendly and everything is made really quickly! Parking can be tricky sometimes bc it's located in downtown Los Altos! My favorite is the spicy godfather and it's filled with prosciutto, mortadella( thinly sliced Italian sausage), salami and provolone cheese! Overall this sandwich spot combines flavors and ingredients that work really well together. Consider getting your sandwich fixins here!"
"This is a great place to stop by to pick up lunch before you hit the beach. The sandwiches are to die for using high quality ingredients. Everything from the bread to all of the fixings were really good. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good place to stop by for lunch or grab takeout."
"Best hot sandwiches in Fremont, great source for chicken with no antibiotics/steroids, and the staff is very kind. A must try for lunch if you're in the area. No seating, so its a to-go experience."
"I love the mom and pops storefront and as soon as you walk in -- you could feel a great sense of family and community. The nice ladies running the front of the house have a great sense of urgency and move the lines quickly and efficiently. We did some grocery shopping next door so stopped in for a sandwich and coffee as I was beginning to feel hungry. The menu boards feature a variety of Banh Mi and there are lots of party tray options available also (note taken for my next potluck invite!). Aromas from the freshly baked bread envelopes your senses as soon as you walk through the doors, and I'm here for it!Banh Mi was good. Looking forward to returning in the near future."
"Delicious sandwiches; I got the French Dip, which has a double portion of beef. It was a good sized sandwich - I had to finish it later. Be sure to get a couple of pickles from the jar when you get your order.Be warned - it'll be ready very quickly. These people are on the ball!"
"Great service, quality food and ingredients! I love these guys! I order my BLT on Dutch Crunch WITH avocado! So consistent every single time! And they chop the bacon up so it's in every single bite!"
"YO. This spot is it. Hidden gem in the business district of San Jose. Not really an eat in place but there are seats. It's more an order to go spot with quick and pleasant staff. These were the best sandwiches I've had in quite some time. The hot pastrami special with the peppercinis is one of the best I've ever had, only really beatable by Katz in NY and I could even make that argument. I'm not exaggerating. The French Dip was fire too but if I'm going back I'm getting two hot pastramis instead. I think of it often but I don't work in the area, which is the only negative. Maybe that's my jobs fault and not theirs"
"My husband brought home sandwiches from here three times in one week. They must order their Dutch crunch from a sorcerer because that bread is magical. Their sandwich combos are pretty amazing--did I mention we had their sandwiches three times in one week?We had to stop because we were getting addicted. We are looking forward to the next time we treat ourselves to a sandwich from The Boys Deli."
"Redwood Place Cafe and Market for a quick coffee, and I'm glad I did. The cafe has such a cozy, rustic atmosphere with a modern touch that makes it the perfect spot to relax or get some work done. The coffee was smooth, rich, and had that perfect balance of boldness without being too bitter. You can tell they care about quality here.Staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. I noticed they had a nice selection of pastries, sandwiches, and market items too, definitely will be back to try more! Whether you're a coffee lover or just looking for a relaxing spot to unwind, Redwood Place is a hidden gem worth checking out."
"Wow! So I stumbled upon this place from googling deli at the airport and then hopped on a bus to get here and walked in the rain and I would do it all over again! This place is fantastic! I came in and they have everything and anything you could want. The atmosphere is so relaxed and feels like I've been here a million time and it's just my first. Better than the atmosphere is the food I ordered the Vincent B sandwich for sit in. They told me to have a seat as they made it, while waiting the gentleman came over and gave me some of their homemade Italian wedding soup which was delicious. Then my sandwich came and wow, this thing was huge and even came with some Mac salad. After slowly savoring my sandwich I had to try the Mac before I got too full and once I started I could not help but finish it. Needless to say there was no way I could finish this gigantic sandwich and I will be taking an entire half with me."
"I LOVE the concept of a Japanese konbini in the states. I mean, this was what I've been dreaming of forever. However, this place doesn't hit all the notes. The okonomiyaki are dry when being held like that. Rice balls and bentos are decent but way overpriced. Why would I pay that amount for a bento that's been sitting around than a fresh one from a mom and pop Japanese restaurant? Flavors of the salmon shiso rice ball were great but I think clover bakery right next door has authentic rice balls for half the price.Hope this place gets better because I really want a Japanese convenient store like Famima! agaib"
