The food was excellent quality as it always is at Back a yard Grill. I love their fried plantains. Tonight's chicken had plenty of their jerk sauce on it and the rice with red beans was wonderful as always. Their jerk salmon sandwich is a huge hit around here as is the jerk pork. Everyone is always smiling after we eat here. All in all the food is consistent and delicious. This new location (to us) didn't let us down!Yum and yum and yum again! Enjoy"

"I was very surprised how good this place was. We decided to get takeout, which I never like because the food is always better dining in, but it was last minute and the place was close. We got the curry chicken, banh mi, some pho and a few appetizers. After trying the shrimp bread I was like WHOA WHAT IS THIS?! Pretty blown away by the flavor. The curry was the 1-2 punch, also a fresh flavor bomb! I will say the pho and banh mi were decent but nothing as good as you can get in East SJ. Doesn't matter really tho because the other items were very good. Definitely will return!"

She was able to set up a menu that served all range of guests including vegan and gluten-free. The food was amazingly delicious! "I haven't enjoyed any ramen bowls for about 1.5 years. As I'm under the weather mostly due to these cold winters of dropping temps and atmospheric rivers overhead pouring river drops, I am left with a season full of coughs. So I'm sticking to hot soups, broths and stews as much as possible. My neighbor was kind enough to pick up Tonkotsu Ramen while driving through Milpitas. Although I knew it would take time to reach me, the broth was still warm, but I admit I love hot foods to be enjoyed hot, so I simmered before pouring broth over the black bowl containing perfectly blanched yellow ramen noodles, black mushroom caps, a fish cake, fresh mung/soy bean sprouts, and 2 small and thin pork tonkotsu. (But I don't recall seeing or tasting bamboo shoots) The broth came in a seperate plastic bowl with a tan color and was quite opaque in appearance and viscous to the tongue. In addition, the broth had a super thin layer of fat (oil) floating on the top (which personally I would have wanted more fat bc it adds flavor imho). This order was requested in the medium spice level and it was a perfect "medium spice" as it was more on the milder side of a "medium spice" range.In addition, I had one spam musubi which was not good (Order comes in a pair) It simply had way too much rice for the size of the spam. If the spam was thicker, then maybe they can use a thick layer of rice. It looked out of proportion. In addition, rice was dry tasting and spam appeared and looked dry, that the spam had a curve to it. In todays order, the spam masubi was a fail."

"reserved a thanksgiving dinner pick-up order..."hot ready to eat"...only available at the 13th street, san jose location...parking is extremely limited...parked on their narrow driveway...ordered a maple glazed roasted turkey and requested boneless and cut $115...comes with gravy and cranberry sauce...turkey was moist and flavorful...seriously delicious...ordered a half pan of the "fall off the bone" beef oxtail $85...the flavors were excellent, but probably needed to cook low and longer...beef did not fall off the bones and was a little chewy...half pan of candied yams $30 was pretty sweet...half pan of the rice and beans $34 was cooked perfectly...half pan of cornbread with butter $25 was so fluffy good...pecan pie $24 was delicious...about $400 total for dinner for 3 families...probably enough food for 6 families..."

We got Aguachillito Mixto, basically seafood ceviche comes with cooked&raw shrimp, octopus + add on of Ahi, Scallops & Crab. They were cooked to perfect chewiness and marinaded nicely so you can still taste the fresh seafood & goes well with the tostadas! Shared among 2 people and got so full, but it was so good we kept eating hahaAhi was marinaded like poke so it didn't go well with others, but still good by itself / with rice! The price was very affordable for this amount of food & quality, service was also friendly! I'm gonna come back soon before they move out to commercial building as they will prob increase the price once they did!"

"So I *think* this is the same restaurant listed as "Golden Bowl LLC" in Doordash (which I ordered from) - same address, and I saw an old Yelp picture of tofu skin salad with celery which looks like what I ordered. Everything came wrapped in plastic wrap, which I've never seen - it was plastic wrap, lid, then another layer of plastic wrap! I thought "Wow, they really go above and beyond to make sure there are no leaks and the food stays hot!" Um no. Turns out the round lids are a different size than the round bowls. I couldn't close them together. So I guess the restaurant figured this double plastic-wrapping would be the solution to bottoms and tops that don't fit together. Aside from this strange issue and the portions being smaller than other restaurants, the food was pretty good! We had a special $10 off promo from Doordash, so we got:- Griddle Cooked Shrimp - SO loves ganguo (griddle cooked/dry pot) so he really liked the flavors and was sucking every last drop from the shrimp heads- Tofu Skin Salad with Celery - this was ok, wish the tofu skin was thicker and softer- Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings - this was pretty good too!- Pork Pot Sticker - decent, prefer the potstickers from Apple Green Bistro- Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce - really solid for fans of yu xiang rou si- Broccoli with Tofu - tasty sauce and fresh broccoli and tofuWorth a try!"

Rain or shine we will be outside in our PJs just to get our hands on their burritos!We have tried their burritos, quesadillas, burgers and tacos. Although they are ALL amazing, my husband's go to is always their Carne Asada California Burrito (a super burrito with fries instead of rice) and I get their Carne Asada Burro (especially a super burrito with no rice). From the well seasoned meat to the crispy thin tortilla and the perfect balance of cheese, cilantro, onions, grilled onions, sour cream and guacamole... it's seriously unmatched!
