"I went to a private party yesterday and Chico de Mayo catered. Let me tell you the food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, pillow soft tortillas, super flavorful sofritos, (I heard the meat was delicious as well) & delicious rice, and beans. They had individual packed limes, cilantro, and queso to keep everything fresh and sanitary. They also had about five or six different salsas and each one was amazing.Not only was the food exceptionally good, but the owner, Hector, was there and he was polite, welcoming, and really went out of his way to make sure that everyone was well fed. You can tell that he puts so much pride into the food that he serves. Based on my experience as a party guest, I would 100% book Chico de Mayo For any catering need and recommend them to you without reservation!"

"So I *think* this is the same restaurant listed as "Golden Bowl LLC" in Doordash (which I ordered from) - same address, and I saw an old Yelp picture of tofu skin salad with celery which looks like what I ordered. Everything came wrapped in plastic wrap, which I've never seen - it was plastic wrap, lid, then another layer of plastic wrap! I thought "Wow, they really go above and beyond to make sure there are no leaks and the food stays hot!" Um no. Turns out the round lids are a different size than the round bowls. I couldn't close them together. So I guess the restaurant figured this double plastic-wrapping would be the solution to bottoms and tops that don't fit together. Aside from this strange issue and the portions being smaller than other restaurants, the food was pretty good! We had a special $10 off promo from Doordash, so we got:- Griddle Cooked Shrimp - SO loves ganguo (griddle cooked/dry pot) so he really liked the flavors and was sucking every last drop from the shrimp heads- Tofu Skin Salad with Celery - this was ok, wish the tofu skin was thicker and softer- Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings - this was pretty good too!- Pork Pot Sticker - decent, prefer the potstickers from Apple Green Bistro- Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce - really solid for fans of yu xiang rou si- Broccoli with Tofu - tasty sauce and fresh broccoli and tofuWorth a try!"

I blame the thin patties as well as other possible factors because it is a truck and not a full kitchen.Boy was I wrong.I had one of the juiciest burgers in a long time and it came from Eat On Monday. What a surprise. The menu is simple: burgers (with the exception of the Fried Chicken Club (UFC), Pulled Pork Sandwich, and Veggie Burger) and fries. There are no distractions, no fluff, nothing. Burgers presented were: -Bacon Blue Cheese Burger -Classic Cheese Burger-Chipotle CheeseburgerI ordered the Chipotle Cheeseburger : local grass fed beef, cheddar cheese, spicy chipotle sauce, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, and an Acme bun.SF/Berkeley love their Acme bread so the minute I saw that, I knew what I was in for: amazingness.After waiting only about 5 minutes, my burger was done. When I opened the container, was wowed by the sight. It was the perfect burger. Juicy looking, melted cheese swirling with the chipotle sauce and the caramelized onions + gravity coaxed it over the side of the patty. It was also done perfectly medium rare. The fusion of all the ingredients created a pretty damn good burger and I'm also happy to report that my fingers were all messy, so make sure you grab a few napkins. A burger that doesn't leave a mess is not my kind of burger.We also ordered the plain french fries with sea salt and the spiced fries. Try them both. You will not be disappointed. Now for a milkshake...................Good burgers, good fries, and a great staff/operation that checks you in/out with no issues.Bravo!"

My office recently hosted a group of Brazilians and were wondering what was going to appease their palates. We went with this company and were completely impressed with the service and quality of food.The delivery came 15 minutes earlier than expected which meant the food was going to be lukewarm by the time we fed our group. However, being extra punctual is never bad and we had asked for an early delivery regardless since 99% of the time they are late. So kudos to Athena for really pulling through with our order.We ordered some large trays including Greek Salad, pita/garlic bread and hummus, grilled vegetables, chicken, beef skewers, and baklava for dessert. Their pita bread here is divine and stayed fluffy throughout the lunch hour as our guests ripped and dipped into the hummus. Their chicken appeared fairly basic (and potentially dry) at first but we agreed that it exceed our expectations- so good.The best part were definitely the beef skewers. The meat was cooked medium-rare and well seasoned. I'm so used to overly salty catering but they really pulled through and delivered some delicious entrees. We had so much food leftover that we were begging for participants to take some home with them.If my office worked closer to the South Bay, I would not hesitate to recommend more lunches be catered through Athena because it was absolutely worth it. Five stars for some amazing food."

Light bite dinner and lunch tomorrow.Huge fan of the spam comes with making an avocado, which was a nice surprise. I didn't read the details of the menu so it felt extra fancy. Braised pork taco was a little oily and I wish there was just a smidge more spice to it had some bites with flavor and some kind of lacking and the pork bowl was a nice size and comes with wider brown rice and the kimchi mixture. I put a couple dabs of hot sauce on it and took a few bites and for me that made it. It was good by itself too. Although they are ALL amazing, my husband's go to is always their Carne Asada California Burrito (a super burrito with fries instead of rice) and I get their Carne Asada Burro (especially a super burrito with no rice). The service was friendly and efficient.We got the:1) Beef Bear Bitez Burger:-When I saw this burger I was IMMEDIATELY reminded of a pâté chaud or as Vietnamemes would know it as, bánh pâté sô except with sesame seeds on top.-The burger meat inside was nicely seasoned and flavored. It came out piping hot and fresh. A solid burger.-My only caveat is that I can ONLY compare this to a pâté chaud and it makes me wish that the pastry part was a bit more flaky and crispy and that the meat inside was just a bit more moist.-I can see the vision and I feel like if the burger approached this pinnacle of comparison in my mind then I would have fallen head over heels in love as I love all meat carb combos like this.2) Potato Salad:-It's definitely a bit more onion tasting and a bit more liquid-y than the thick potato salad that I'm used to, but it's not bad.-Definitely added another layer of flavor to enjoy along with our burger.-Not too sour or mayo tasting. We rushed to the restroom and my partner ordered for us. He ordered fish but he doesn't really eat fish. He leaves that for myself & my younger child. He only eats one piece. We aren't big spice eaters like my husband. The fish was delicious but I never had spicy fish before. It was hard for me to eat & gulp water at the same time. I couldn't eat the lamb biryani and the chicken Tikka even though my partner said it was delicious. I didn't even eat the okra we ordered. My younger one enjoyed spritzing lime on the garlic naan. I need to try that next time. I should have waited for everything to arrive first before I ate the fish. The pakoras & samosas were delicious and was finished. I got in contact with her son through the website and I called and texted Co Hoang. She speaks a little English, but I was able to order a bunch of food for our Dam Hoi of 90 people. She texted over the menu and texted back my order to confirm. Everything actually went really smoothly. They were able to deliver at the right time. Free delivery on orders over a certain amount.We ordered: 70 eggrolls, 35 spring rolls, combo fried rice, chow mein, 6lbs Mongolian beef, 60 chicken wings, 6lbs lemon grass chicken, 6lbs salted pepper prawns, and mixed vegetables. The foods were delicious! Everybody RAVED about everything! I was surprised that catering food was so good! People loved everything and I gave her # out. The people I served her food were OG Vietnamese and American people and BOTH thought it was excellent. I must add, her lemongrass chicken was so flavorful, I was utterly surprised for such a massive order that she managed to have great flavors still. I will definitely order from her again whenever I'm in the bay area! Big hit at my engagement party! She is a one person business but does a great job. "I haven't enjoyed any ramen bowls for about 1.5 years. As I'm under the weather mostly due to these cold winters of dropping temps and atmospheric rivers overhead pouring river drops, I am left with a season full of coughs. So I'm sticking to hot soups, broths and stews as much as possible. My neighbor was kind enough to pick up Tonkotsu Ramen while driving through Milpitas. Although I knew it would take time to reach me, the broth was still warm, but I admit I love hot foods to be enjoyed hot, so I simmered before pouring broth over the black bowl containing perfectly blanched yellow ramen noodles, black mushroom caps, a fish cake, fresh mung/soy bean sprouts, and 2 small and thin pork tonkotsu. (But I don't recall seeing or tasting bamboo shoots) The broth came in a seperate plastic bowl with a tan color and was quite opaque in appearance and viscous to the tongue. In addition, the broth had a super thin layer of fat (oil) floating on the top (which personally I would have wanted more fat bc it adds flavor imho). This order was requested in the medium spice level and it was a perfect "medium spice" as it was more on the milder side of a "medium spice" range.In addition, I had one spam musubi which was not good (Order comes in a pair) It simply had way too much rice for the size of the spam. If the spam was thicker, then maybe they can use a thick layer of rice. It looked out of proportion. In addition, rice was dry tasting and spam appeared and looked dry, that the spam had a curve to it. In todays order, the spam masubi was a fail."

This is located in a ghost kitchen so there are different types of food you can order here on a touch screen and then someone puts it in a cubby where you go pick it up. The ambiance here is very minimal and no chairs or tables to eat - hence expect to eat pickup only.Overall the bowl was pretty good - it came with sweet potatoes, broccoli, corn salad and lots of other goodies. The chicken was well seasoned and went well with the sauce and the red pepper hummus which was really yum. Overall, good food and good portion!"

Besides coming in about $200 less than other places, they also offered more (3 meets, quesadillas, bacon wrapped hot dogs, 2 fresh waters, plates, utensils and all the fixings). They showed up 1.5 hours before the party to set up and start cooking, and served for 3 hours. It was delicious! All my guests were extremely satisfied and the guys were very nice.
