"Dive bar with some tables around the bar and pool table. Great menu and we got burgers and onion rings. So delicious! Service was really nice too. Will be returning!"
"I like the atmosphere. However, we must have visited on an off day because our entire party left food on the table. We were one of four tables, so it wasn't busy. Onion rings were greasy. Sandwich was poorly made. Steak was grisly. Pizza arrived at the table with the cheese sliding off one edge. Mushroom burger had few mushrooms. Fries were unevenly salted- one side extra salty, other side unsalted. The curds were great and the only item completely eaten. But the portion seemed less than a full portion when compared with pictures from other yelpers."

"On a little getaway trip with our pup we decided to dine at The Barn as they offer all outdoor seating by their restaurant and have an additional "garden patio" area with additional seating. You first walk inside to order and then take your buzzer to the tables and seat yourself. They have blankets to cover the benches in case it's cold and outdoor heaters that can be turned on. We ordered the Barn Burger (classic beef burger), the What the Cluck (fried chicken sandwich - can also be served grilled if you prefer), a side of fries, and the Mac Attack (fried macaroni). The Barn Burger is your classic burger - which was thought was pretty standard. Ingredients tasted fresh and the bun kept everything together. The only downside was that the beef patty was quite small and not to the shape of the bun. At the end we found ourselves with bun + toppings, but no more beef. The What the Cluck is served on ciabatta bread and the arugula is a nice touch. Chicken was fried well and was tender inside. The portion is sizeable as well. However, if you're not a goat cheese fan, you may want to sub out the cheese as it was quite strong and overpowered the sandwich quite a bit.The Mac Attack is a nice side addition. Fried perfectly to a crunchy crisp and velvety cheesy goodness on the inside. It's served with ranch and four pieces is plenty for two people! We were surprised by the portion of a side of fries. You can definitely share between two people as they give plenty.Self serve water outside and you bus your own table when you're done!Overall, love the outdoor dining area and that it is dog friendly. Would return with our pup when in Half Moon Bay!"
"I'm torn.Everything is very "four-star" about this place. The Garret reminds me of old-school Pizza Hut, this one being cavernous, dark, divey, and woody, with a bar area. All the workers were pleasant and attentive, which is why I am not giving it three stars. The food was not bad. We started with garlic fries, getting a decent amount of hot fries covered in a creamy diced garlic for $5. The build-your-own pizza wasn't cheap, but the medium seemed big. The pizza seemed flavorless, though we think the garlic fries had something to do with that. With a little parmesan and red pepper flake, I enjoyed it. I loved the crispy but doughy crust. The leftover pizza was better than any other leftover pizza. No self-service sodas, but refills are free. The problem is that we went at 5:30 on a Saturday, and it was full of kids. That makes it great for families, but not for people who aren't used to eating while kids scream talk at the top of their lungs. These unnecessarily loud kids all seemed to have Raiders fans for Dads so I couldn't really go up there and ask them to leash their kids or give them peanut butter to keep them from barking a while. If you think I'm being an old man, other reviewers agreed: "noisy kids" (Michael R); "a little too noisy to have a quiet conversation" (Rakesh B); "good for holding large gatherings but can be noisy." (Ed H); "ridiculously loud everywhere that the noise becomes UNTOLERABLE" (Yvette R); "arcade makes people feel they can let kids run free." (Anonymous); "Expect it to be loud with kids running around." (Lorraine C); "a lot of kids during the dinner rush." (Barney T); "People think it's Chuck E Cheese and let their kids literally run wild through this place...kids squealing and running through the table." (Jon C). "A ton of kids." (Killer Kitty). "The only downside of this place are the unattended whiny little snot-nosed kids that run around high on caffeine." (Patrick J)I loved the atmosphere, service, and food, but I would only return super late at night or while kids are in school or once I lose my hearing."
"One of the best burgers I've ever tried, both vegan and non-vegan. I recommend ordering garlic or sweet potato fries. The salads are large, enough for two people. Highly recommended! :)"
"There's a Subway down the street and if you go there instead of Bonne Sante Broadway, do us all a favor and slap yourself. I had the Hottie Sandwich with everything on a soft French roll and it was arguably the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had, and I've had a lot of deli sandwiches in my life (peep my check-in history). The size of the sandwich was intimidating but I put my work in and demolished it, savoring every delicious bite. Don't get me started on their signature sun-dried tomato tapenade, chef's kiss. Definitely a local family friendly vibe and service was helpful and fast. Fortunately, I don't live too far away because I'm definitely going to become a regular!"
"Tucked away by SF state and hidden away in the fog is a gem of a burger.Hall of flame has mostly classic burgers, with Niman ranch burger Pattie's (yum). I ordered the humdinger, which has a generous helping of mushrooms on top. My boyfriend and I were craving the same burger so the only difference was his was medium and mine was medium rare. Both were so juicy. As soon as we bit in, our hands were splashed. The house salad was yummy with a light and balanced dressing that is neither too sweet nor too acidic. Quite large for the price! The service and ambiance are what you expect from a casual burger spot. They're quick and kind; the chairs and cups are plastic. But if you're just looking for a quick, casual burger while watching some sports, this is the spot."
"This place is ran by the sweetest kindest man I would imagine he's Mr. Mardini. Every time I come in, he greets me with a smile. He makes sure that I have what I want. He remembers my order and always gives me extra garlic sauce. I get his veggie plate. The baba ganoosh Is unlike anyone's I've ever had with fresh herbs in it. The hummus is yummy and falafels tasty. I recommend it, most of all, for the love that he puts into his food. It's very fresh and very good"
"If you have to kill time before departing at SFO, go here! Or if the person you're picking up from SFO is starving and they're open, go here! Good parking lot. Don't have to find street parking."
"I've been here a few times but not recently - in fact it's been a few years. And when I've gone, I've always ordered a burger - that is what they do after all! But the chili caught my eye on the menu so decided to change it up.The portion was large - enough remaining for lunch the next day. I didn't see any pics on Yelp so wasn't sure what to expect. There are many types of chili but I like just about all of them so I wasn't too worried. The consistency is almost like sloppy joes although not as sweet - you could definitely make a sandwich out of it. It comes with two slices of toast for just that purpose. If you are expecting more soup like then I would skip.Apologies for the pic - already had a few bites (have to remember the phone eats first!). I asked them to hold the cheese. It was filling and tasted pretty good - not the best ever but solid 4 stars for that type of chili. We also had the shoestring fries and onion strings which were both amazing!"
"First time. One of those places with the TV on playing Tubi. Friendly gal at the counter. Ordered the $12 chicken teriyaki bowl to eat onsite. About 6 customers eating at the tables (all lonely males this Valentine's Day). Rice was hot! Chicken was warm and the steamed broccoli was fridge cold. One use wood chopsticks were good quality. Sirachi packet and soy sauce in a bottle along with salt and pepper is available at the counter. If they are open to suggestions I would stream anime or J-pop, Use Japanese ceramic teriyaki bowls for sit down use instead of plastic, add some Japanese pepper seasoning at the counter and a "special" house mayo dressing sauce bottle for the broccoli that needs to be served warm. I would also add the store name to the menu signage inside. Hot green tea would be a nice option."
"Nom Nom, these burgers are really good!Ok ok, hands down one of the best burgers I've had in the Bay Area here. I've had them countless times & it's time to give up the flowers for them. They are definitely nom & pops style food here & I appreciate it greatly as it's hard to find the non commercialized flavors. They are consistent & the food is deelish for sure. I've never had a bad meal from here & that's to be celebrated in the world of fast food. There is nothing fancy or anything about this place but great/consistent flavor/taste is what they have. I will always be back! All burger heads, whether you k ow it's the enemy or not, this is a good cheat meal for the conscious.Cheers!"

The Hidden Spot is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of South San Francisco! The restaurant is technically located within the Hometown Heroes Bar right on Grand Ave. The space itself is pretty small, but deep, and can hold a good amount of people. There is a bar with around a dozen seats. There are three tables across from the bar that can fit four each, and another three tables and additional spots to sit in the back behind the pool table. This is definitely a sports bar vibe, but clean. It's open, well lit, and there is a bunch of cool music-themed art inside. As noted, there is a pool table that is often available, and TV's along the bar and in the back. They have the ability to play different things on different TVs, so it was nice to see some variety when we arrived (baseball, soccer, e-sports). We had asked them to put on the Giants game in the back where we were sitting, and they happily changed it for us. The food is the real reason we came! We had heard about this spot via Yelp, and ordered food for delivery a few times during the pandemic. The food was always good, but never fresh. We finally decided to try it IRL last year to get the full, fresh experience. It was SO good, we had to bring a friend back just recently when we had the opportunity. They feature highly elevated bar food. Think burgers, sandwiches, wings, fries, etc. The Burgers are Wagyu, the sandwiches are THICC, the wings are huge and crispy, and the fries are seasoned. Some of the things we've had:The Sheriff (Burger - Cheddar Cheese, Beer Battered Onion Rings, Grilled Onions, BBQ Sauce, Mayonnaise, $17) - This is a huge and delicious burger! We added bacon, which is the move. The onion rings are crispy and delicious! Super juicy and packed with flavor. Past (Sandwich - Certified Angus Beef Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Coleslaw, Hidden Sauce, Honey Mustard, MK Sauce, $15) - Got this on Dutch Crunch and loved it! Such a flavorful sandwich with all the sauces! MVP (Wings - Sweet & Spicy Soy Glaze and Topped with Green Onions, 5 for $10 or 10 for $18). These are some of the best wings I've had in a long time. They are huge, meaty, and flavorful. The MVP sauce is one of my favorites, anywhere. I love dipping wings in ranch, but this sauce is so good I usually just eat it straight. Honey Garlic Butter (Wings, Topped with Sesame Seeds) - Another winner. The flavor on these is insanely good, definitely recommend! Beer Battered Onion Rings (SM $8, LG $10) - These are crispy, fresh and delicious. There is a perfect ratio of batter; not too much, and not too onion-y. They pair well dipped in any of their sauces! Seasoned Fries (SM $7, LG $9) - Some of the best seasoned fries I've had. Perfect size, perfect crispiness, and so much flavor in the seasoning. Again, pairs well with any of their sauces!Sauces - There are 12+ house made sauces. They have the basics like ranch, blue cheese, BBQ, buffalo, but also various aiolis, spicy ranch, Hidden Sauce, MK Sauce and more. My only complaint is that the serving is a little small for $1/each; I have to spend $15-$20 just on sides of sauce!Overall we've enjoyed both experiences eating at Hidden Spot in Hometown Heroes. The food is soo good, and definitely tastes better when you eat it fresh, rather than ordering delivery. Thanks to all the hardworking staff, but a special shoutout to Erick who enhanced our experience. He was particularly friendly, helpful, and generally awesome!Already looking forward to my next meal at Hidden Spot! Check the reel on IG: @bbnem.eats

Such a cute place to stop and grab lunch on a nice day in Half Moon Bay - they have a ton of outdoor seating in a cute garden area w/ an outdoor bar as well.My key highlights of our lunch were definitely the chilli dog & the mac n cheese bites. Highly recommend both!

We were in town visiting family and after a day out of jumping at a nearby trampoline park, our kids were in the mood for some pizza. I am so glad I took the time to look for several options and even more glad I chose The Garret for our pizza fix!As soon as we stepped into the parlor, it was like stepping back in time! It had an old time feel to it. The brick was so nostalgic and definitely a nice touch. The staff was really friendly, I wish I got the nice gentleman's name who tended to us. He was very kind and helpful! The food was also very good. The pizza was loaded with toppings and the crust was nice and crispy. The buffalo wings we got were also cooked perfectly. We had a beautiful time here and will definitely be coming back the next time we come out this way!

Grew up eating this place! Wonderful service and great food! Portions are large and fries are fresh. The Michael's ice cream especially in a shake is a must to get with your burger. Love getting all that and dinning in on a hot day with indoor/outdoor layout. Plus the food is made right in front of you so you can see all the action. I will definitely be back again!

This place is a 10 out of 10! This deli on Broadway is a hidden gem, offering a variety of delicious, freshly made food. After walking by several times, today, I finally gave it a shot. I chatted with the local resident and owner Dan, who clearly takes pride in their establishment. What's better than having a beer with fries and a sandwich?so heavenly!

Roller coaster of emotions. First off and least important - the food was delicious. The onion rings were close to perfect. Secondly, and far more important. Timeline:Bring burger home. Unwrap. Get upset with myself for not asking for ranch/other condiments. Eat said burger and fries/onion rings with the side of ketchup I asked for. Burger was bomb. Onion rings were delicious. As stated before, that doesn't matter. While cleaning up, I reached in the bottom of the bag and found little bundle wraps of all the condiments. Beautiful. Just gorgeous. But then, I kept scrounging and found a side of ranch. Now it may not be important to you... but I didn't ask for ranch. I no longer expect ranch because, well, restaurant just don't "give out" free ranch nowadays. But Hall of Flame Burger... Oh Hall of Flame Burgers... you did it. And you know you did it. You lured me in. You teased me. And you freaking pulled through. Not cause the burger was dank or the onion rings were exquisite. It's the little things. The little things that matter. It's the ranch that matters, guys. If I could give 36 stars, I would.

Hard to fine such fresh and authentic Mediterranean cuisine at such reasonable price with a homey atmosphere. The owner is very proud of his food, the love shows in his attention to the customers enjoyment

"Stopped by the Redwood City location after I heard about an opening during the fall in the East Bay (Fremont). Decided to try the food with a couple of beers. They had a band, so Live Music an extra plus. Service was excellent. Burgers were good, very tasty. Sausage plate was very nice. My only regret, not ordering the Fish & Chips, they looked amazing and were very popular that night. Beer is very good, not overly hoppy, just good flavor, good beer.Great little Gem in RWC, can tell it was quite the locals hang out and we enjoyed our time next to the locals. I hope the new location has the same vibe when it opens this fall."
"Came here for a few slices of pizza and met the owners. She was so sweet! Shout out to Tina! Thank you for the amazing service and chatting with us.The food was great! Decent price and great flavor."
"Amazing breakfast spot in Evergreen Village Square with so many options to choose from! I came in on a Saturday morning with a group of 11 and waited around 40 minutes. Keep in mind that on the weekends, it gets pretty busy and they don't allow strollers inside during weekends! The service was great--the workers were very polite and patient when it came to us choosing what to order. They always refilled our waters without us asking which was really nice to see! The ambiance inside was casual, except I didn't really pay too much attention to my surroundings since I was really hungry! I decided to order their Rasp n' Cream crepes for around $14. It was really good, however, after 2 crepes I couldn't finish the last one! It was pretty filling in my opinion for breakfast and it satisfied my sweet tooth. The almonds added a nice crunch to it! I'd come back here again!"
"An institution in downtown Palo Alto. Service is friendly and pleasant. Food is serviceable with nothing that stands out. Lots of tables inside and out. Fills up on Stanford football game days. Great beer selection!"
"I've been to Kirk's a few times, and it's a decent spot to grab a quick burger. Ate here recently, wanted to try something new and decided to go with their chicken bacon ranch club sandwich with Cajun fries. The CBR comes on grilled sourdough bread with mayo, avocado, and bacon. The sandwich unfortunately was a bit too much bread and not enough filling. The piece of chicken was while seasoned, was paper thin. I think the meat to bread ratio for this sandwich could be better. The Cajun fries were good, but oddly sweet. For the chicken sandwich, fries, and a coke, plus tip, came out to $26. A bit steep for the amount of chicken you get but lesson learned, I'd stick with the burgers"
"Hands down, the best classic breakfast/brunch diner in downtown Redwood City. My go-to; the eggs Benedict with sausage patties, a side of hashbrowns smothered in grilled onions and cheese. Exquisite..."
"Local watering hole. As someone who frequents this location almost weekly I can say I have nothing bad to say.The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is great and I love the daily specials which mixes things up. They source most of their food locally in the Bay Area. For anyone wanting a good solid meal with great service I highly recommend. They do have TVs all around playing different sports and have a bar section. Kid friendly and outside seating for those bringing pets. My favorites are their deviled eggs, apple chicken salad, pot roast and pretty much any burger with garlic fries!"
"Food and service were super good! Portions are definitely small though. Butter chicken with naan-4/5 more tomato-y than im used to, but still good! I wish there was more naan so i could dip it in the sauce.Tandoori soya chaap -5/5 delicious! It has a creamy, nutty flavor and the texture was really nice. It has a small kick which is barely noticeable but nice."
"I give the Reuben by the Refuge establishment (whether San Mateo, San Carlos, or the former Mountain View location) a solid 5 out of 5 stars, every time. The flavor profile compliments the pastrami so well, I will always order it over any other food item on the menu. (My family lived off of mouth-watering pastrami sandwiches from NYC delis in the 80s, and this is honestly the closest and the best of what we can get in the Bay! The Pastrami sando on its own somehow doesn't do it for me.) I'm picky about my fries so I skip the fried items here. Besides, I enjoy every morsel of the Reuben I can't think about or fit anything else!I got the Half Soup/Half Reuben and the Coleslaw to share, which I love. The Hibiscus Punch was refreshing and not too sweet ;) I devoured them and was happily full to the brim. Service was courteous and prompt. This Hillsdale location is spacious, gets great natural light, has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Convenient to access from the parking structure nearby. There are booths and tables that accommodate smaller and larger parties. I'd definitely come again when I'm in the area."
"Driving through Gilroy, craving garlic fries, and stumbled onto this place. It's very well done, neat and tidy, very clean, and efficient. Prices are a good value, definitely cheaper than what you'd pay just a few miles north. Crispy chicken sandwich was really good. Cooked fresh to order and very tasty. Regular fries were really fresh and served hot and crisp. Gilroy garlic fries were more cheesy than garlicky. It was those same fresh french fries buried under a ton of tasty cheese and with a light garlic taste. Really good. Seems like it's a local restaurant. Wish we had a location up in my city!"
"We came here on a semi-rainy day with our dog and sat in the large back yard! I was craving seafood so we got the fish tacos Baja style grilled (yum! The red cabbage was almost creamy) and the fish and chips were a bit more decadent but with a hell of a lot of fish. We also split a grilled cheese which was surprisingly delicious and came with a side of fries. We chose to get the vegetable of the day which was as Brussels sprouts. They were topped with Parmesan and were a good attempt although a little greasy for my liking. The woman at the counter was super nice and answered all my questions about the different fish options. You can even order a side of cod on a salad if you want something super healthy. I thought the backyard was nice and there was a fire pit. There was some seating with an overhang which is good for rain. You pick up the food yourself and get your own silverware. Overall, would come back."
"Got some lunch for the family! The prices are above average compared to other burger places, but support family businesses! It's right next to happy lemon and has lots of parking. There were happy diners already eating their burgers, and I was able to place my order immediately when I walked in. I ordered 2 burgers and a combo. It took about 15 minutes for my order since they cook it fresh on the grill in front of you. They have a condiment bar of sauces and vegetables. The burger quality was juicy, filling, and delicious. My mom and sister were happy, so that's a win for me! The fries were salted to perfection and crispy. Would come here again to try other burgers!"
"We drove past dairy belle freeze many times but never stopped to try until now! So glad we did because now we found a new burger/fast food joint to revisit. We ordered 2 combo meals, 1/4 beef hamburger and the fish sandwich. Everything came out piping hot and fresh, which we love! Both were excellent but my preference would be the fish sandwich. The portion was also generous for what you get. there were people coming in and out, so business is busy, which is always a good sign. only reason why I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5 is because of the price. It's pretty pricey for what it is but once in a while, I won't mind coming here for a good burger."
"I can't say I've had a bad experience here! It's fair to say I'm a regular to this location due to my AMEX Gold Credit Card... IYKYK. I come by at least once a month for a quick lunch. Quality of food is always great! Soft potato buns, fresh veggies, and a flavorful burger patties. The shack sauce always hits the spot! I love the fries here too. My go-to orders: ShackStack, 'Shroom Burger, and Chicken Shack. If I'm being picky - they are pretty inconsistent with timing. Sometimes it will take 5-10 minutes for my food to come out. Other times, it will take 20-30 minutes! It really varies. Staff are always friendly though."
"AMAZING EXPERIENCE The owner is super nice, the food is fresh, flavorful, and affordable. I ordered falafel and babaganoush. Falafel was as fresh as possible and super green on the inside."
"I love their new website! Online ordering was very easy and seamless.I got the bacon avocado omelette and it was delicious. Definitely gonna order again."
"First, they have free soft drinks! I had the catch if the day fish tacos. I don't particularly like fish tacos, but they were very good. I like to take the double tortilla of the two tacos and make 4 separate tacos giving me more than enough food. My wife had the scallop linguine and she loved it as well. The building could use some renovation but I come for the food and will keep on coming."
"Darling diner with great food. Probably the best French toast in the Bay! Service was very pleasant and attentive. My friend had the club and fries. She said it was excellent!"
"Few miles from my house but I've never thought to eat here. Open until 12am. Food was good. Service was excellent. Place is very clean."
"Stopped by Sal's Burgers, located in a convenient strip mall off Highway 92. It's a walk-up and order at the counter spot with seating both inside and outside. Perfect for a casual meal. We ordered the SF Patty Melt, which comes loaded with grilled onions, mushrooms, Swiss and cheddar cheese, all on sourdough bread and the Cowboy burger, topped with cheese, an onion ring, pickle, halal bacon, grilled onions, mushrooms, and barbecue sauce. For sides, we went with onion rings and garlic fries. The burger portions were just right--neither too big nor too small, making it perfect for an average appetite. The food took about 10 minutes, which was expected, and both burgers were tasty. The sides were also solid. Overall, the service was efficient, and the pricing was what you'd expect for a burger spot. I'd come back to try more from their menu."
"This is a review of Jake's medium Garlic Chicken Supreme pizza. Before I start in about their pizza, you need to be aware of their parking situation. There is ongoing construction occurring, so you will park in and enter from the rear. This isn't a problem during the day, however spotting Jake's and their rear parking lot at night can be challenging. The area in back is not well lit, so I advise using a flashlight. The Garlic Chicken Supreme came with generous-sized pieces of white meat chicken (see photo), mushrooms and sliced red bell peppers. I could taste the garlic. All in all, it was pretty satisfying. I ordered takeout without a problem and my pizza was ready on time."
"This is just an old school diner; there isn't a single fancy or modern thing about it. And that's what makes it so perfect! The food is solidly good; the service is efficient, friendly, and motherly without being intrusive; and the prices are exactly what you'd expect. I'm so glad this place exists!"
"I love this place and my boys love it too. They have a lot of options and combos to choose from. They also have boneless wings which have more meat... Even though I love most of the flavors, my favorite has to be the boneless spicy lemon pepper ...The staff is always friendly!! They chat with us and give my boys extra fries, extra sauces, etc.The restaurant is also very clean. Too bad I'm about 35 minutes away, but it's worth the drive."
