Fries were unevenly salted- one side extra salty, other side unsalted.The curds were great and the only item completely eaten. But the portion seemed less than a full portion when compared with pictures from other yelpers."

"On a little getaway trip with our pup we decided to dine at The Barn as they offer all outdoor seating by their restaurant and have an additional "garden patio" area with additional seating.You first walk inside to order and then take your buzzer to the tables and seat yourself. They have blankets to cover the benches in case it's cold and outdoor heaters that can be turned on. We ordered the Barn Burger (classic beef burger), the What the Cluck (fried chicken sandwich - can also be served grilled if you prefer), a side of fries, and the Mac Attack (fried macaroni).The Barn Burger is your classic burger - which was thought was pretty standard. Ingredients tasted fresh and the bun kept everything together. The only downside was that the beef patty was quite small and not to the shape of the bun. At the end we found ourselves with bun + toppings, but no more beef.The What the Cluck is served on ciabatta bread and the arugula is a nice touch. Chicken was fried well and was tender inside. The portion is sizeable as well. However, if you're not a goat cheese fan, you may want to sub out the cheese as it was quite strong and overpowered the sandwich quite a bit.The Mac Attack is a nice side addition. Fried perfectly to a crunchy crisp and velvety cheesy goodness on the inside. It's served with ranch and four pieces is plenty for two people!We were surprised by the portion of a side of fries. You can definitely share between two people as they give plenty.Self serve water outside and you bus your own table when you're done!Overall, love the outdoor dining area and that it is dog friendly. Would return with our pup when in Half Moon Bay!"

"I'm torn.Everything is very "four-star" about this place. The Garret reminds me of old-school Pizza Hut, this one being cavernous, dark, divey, and woody, with a bar area. All the workers were pleasant and attentive, which is why I am not giving it three stars. The food was not bad. We started with garlic fries, getting a decent amount of hot fries covered in a creamy diced garlic for $5. The build-your-own pizza wasn't cheap, but the medium seemed big. The pizza seemed flavorless, though we think the garlic fries had something to do with that. With a little parmesan and red pepper flake, I enjoyed it. I loved the crispy but doughy crust. The leftover pizza was better than any other leftover pizza. No self-service sodas, but refills are free.The problem is that we went at 5:30 on a Saturday, and it was full of kids. That makes it great for families, but not for people who aren't used to eating while kids scream talk at the top of their lungs. These unnecessarily loud kids all seemed to have Raiders fans for Dads so I couldn't really go up there and ask them to leash their kids or give them peanut butter to keep them from barking a while.If you think I'm being an old man, other reviewers agreed: "noisy kids" (Michael R); "a little too noisy to have a quiet conversation" (Rakesh B); "good for holding large gatherings but can be noisy." I had the Hottie Sandwich with everything on a soft French roll and it was arguably the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had, and I've had a lot of deli sandwiches in my life (peep my check-in history). The size of the sandwich was intimidating but I put my work in and demolished it, savoring every delicious bite. Don't get me started on their signature sun-dried tomato tapenade, chef's kiss. Definitely a local family friendly vibe and service was helpful and fast. Fortunately, I don't live too far away because I'm definitely going to become a regular!"

"Tucked away by SF state and hidden away in the fog is a gem of a burger.Hall of flame has mostly classic burgers, with Niman ranch burger Pattie's (yum). I ordered the humdinger, which has a generous helping of mushrooms on top. My boyfriend and I were craving the same burger so the only difference was his was medium and mine was medium rare. Both were so juicy. As soon as we bit in, our hands were splashed.The house salad was yummy with a light and balanced dressing that is neither too sweet nor too acidic. Quite large for the price!The service and ambiance are what you expect from a casual burger spot. They're quick and kind; the chairs and cups are plastic. But if you're just looking for a quick, casual burger while watching some sports, this is the spot."

But the chili caught my eye on the menu so decided to change it up.The portion was large - enough remaining for lunch the next day. I didn't see any pics on Yelp so wasn't sure what to expect. There are many types of chili but I like just about all of them so I wasn't too worried. The consistency is almost like sloppy joes although not as sweet - you could definitely make a sandwich out of it. It comes with two slices of toast for just that purpose. If you are expecting more soup like then I would skip.Apologies for the pic - already had a few bites (have to remember the phone eats first!). I asked them to hold the cheese. It was filling and tasted pretty good - not the best ever but solid 4 stars for that type of chili.We also had the shoestring fries and onion strings which were both amazing!"

About 6 customers eating at the tables (all lonely males this Valentine's Day). Rice was hot! Chicken was warm and the steamed broccoli was fridge cold. One use wood chopsticks were good quality. Sirachi packet and soy sauce in a bottle along with salt and pepper is available at the counter.If they are open to suggestions I would stream anime or J-pop, Use Japanese ceramic teriyaki bowls for sit down use instead of plastic, add some Japanese pepper seasoning at the counter and a "special" house mayo dressing sauce bottle for the broccoli that needs to be served warm. I would also add the store name to the menu signage inside. Hot green tea would be a nice option."

"Nom Nom, these burgers are really good!Ok ok, hands down one of the best burgers I've had in the Bay Area here. I've had them countless times & it's time to give up the flowers for them. They are definitely nom & pops style food here & I appreciate it greatly as it's hard to find the non commercialized flavors. They are consistent & the food is deelish for sure. I've never had a bad meal from here & that's to be celebrated in the world of fast food. There is nothing fancy or anything about this place but great/consistent flavor/taste is what they have. My only regret, not ordering the Fish & Chips, they looked amazing and were very popular that night. Beer is very good, not overly hoppy, just good flavor, good beer.Great little Gem in RWC, can tell it was quite the locals hang out and we enjoyed our time next to the locals. The service was great--the workers were very polite and patient when it came to us choosing what to order. They always refilled our waters without us asking which was really nice to see! The ambiance inside was casual, except I didn't really pay too much attention to my surroundings since I was really hungry! I decided to order their Rasp n' Cream crepes for around $14. It was really good, however, after 2 crepes I couldn't finish the last one! It was pretty filling in my opinion for breakfast and it satisfied my sweet tooth. The almonds added a nice crunch to it! The sandwich unfortunately was a bit too much bread and not enough filling. The piece of chicken was while seasoned, was paper thin. I think the meat to bread ratio for this sandwich could be better. The Cajun fries were good, but oddly sweet. For the chicken sandwich, fries, and a coke, plus tip, came out to $26. A bit steep for the amount of chicken you get but lesson learned, I'd stick with the burgers"

The flavor profile compliments the pastrami so well, I will always order it over any other food item on the menu. (My family lived off of mouth-watering pastrami sandwiches from NYC delis in the 80s, and this is honestly the closest and the best of what we can get in the Bay! The Pastrami sando on its own somehow doesn't do it for me.) I'm picky about my fries so I skip the fried items here. Besides, I enjoy every morsel of the Reuben I can't think about or fit anything else!I got the Half Soup/Half Reuben and the Coleslaw to share, which I love. The Hibiscus Punch was refreshing and not too sweet ;) I devoured them and was happily full to the brim. Service was courteous and prompt. This Hillsdale location is spacious, gets great natural light, has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Convenient to access from the parking structure nearby. There are booths and tables that accommodate smaller and larger parties. I'd definitely come again when I'm in the area."

Regular fries were really fresh and served hot and crisp. Gilroy garlic fries were more cheesy than garlicky. You can even order a side of cod on a salad if you want something super healthy. I thought the backyard was nice and there was a fire pit. We ordered the SF Patty Melt, which comes loaded with grilled onions, mushrooms, Swiss and cheddar cheese, all on sourdough bread and the Cowboy burger, topped with cheese, an onion ring, pickle, halal bacon, grilled onions, mushrooms, and barbecue sauce. For sides, we went with onion rings and garlic fries. The burger portions were just right--neither too big nor too small, making it perfect for an average appetite. The food took about 10 minutes, which was expected,and both burgers were tasty. The sides were also solid. Overall, the service was efficient, and the pricing was what you'd expect for a burger spot. There is ongoing construction occurring, so you will park in and enter from the rear. This isn't a problem during the day, however spotting Jake's and their rear parking lot at night can be challenging. The area in back is not well lit, so I advise using a flashlight.The Garlic Chicken Supreme came with generous-sized pieces of white meat chicken (see photo), mushrooms and sliced red bell peppers. I could taste the garlic. All in all, it was pretty satisfying. I ordered takeout without a problem and my pizza was ready on time."
