I don't even know where to start, but if you're in Millbrae, you have to check this place out! They offer a variety of baked goods, and the staff is both efficient and friendly. However, the real star is their Macau-style Portuguese tarts. They are to die for! While they don't have Hong Kong egg tarts, that's okay because their Portuguese tarts steal the show. They are not like your typical European Portuguese tarts and I'm not a fan of them. The individually wrapped baked goods are also delicious since you find some nice classics here. I'd love to try their cakes next time!

5 stars for the portguese egg tarts, i.e., the only item I've tried off the menu. The egg tarts here are so good - warm, flaky, buttery, sweet. They rival the ones I've had in Portugal, and they're maybe the best ones I've had in the Bay Area. Suzanne's also has a great selection of the usual Asian bakery heavy hitters like bread, buns, baos, cakes. But get the egg tarts.

I ordered a cake here this week. Ordering the cake was so easy. I ordered the small chestnut cake. I like how they have small cakes here for small parties. They said the cake is good for 3 to 4 people but honestly it is actually good for six people. I came to pick it up that the time I requested and it was ready for me. The cake was perfect in size! They have me a really big box for the cake, which I wish was smaller. The cake itself was good and had pieces of chestnut in it. I wish it had more chestnuts but overall it was pleasant.

My favorite Asian bakery!! Great value and excellent breads and buns. The bread is so soft and fluffy and all the buns are huge. I love the sesame pearl bun - super unique mochi-like texture in what looks like a giant cream puff package. Portuguese egg tarts are some of the best. Crisp thin pastry with rich, creamy custard. The only bun I don't love is the "pineapple bun with custard" the "custard" is more like a custard powder - not what I was expecting.

I came here last week and they were completely sold out of the Portuguese egg tarts everyone reviews about, but to my luck, a sweet colleague randomly brought them to work today! They were still warm and so, so, so delicious! The crust was flakey and buttery and the filling was sweet, but not overpoweringly so. It was perfect. Will definitely come back earlier in the day next time to try to score some of these Portuguese tarts!

Love their breads, especially the white bread (or milk toast that's sold as both thick or thin slices) and raisin toast. Good shelf life as they usually last for a week and their breads actually stay pillowy soft! Another favorite is the Portuguese egg tarts or pastel de nata. Crispy, flaky shell with creamy, egg custard - this is definitely a great and very popular so it tends to sell out early. I've recently seen lots of people buying their steamed buns and will need to try that out. The shop is tidy and clean. Minimum $15 purchase for credit card use.

This place is so popular with locals that there are mons of people coming in before 8am on the weekends. It's for a good reason, the bread, bao, pastries and dun tat at Suzanne's are just killer. Pretty much everything you can get at Sheng Kee you can get at Suzanne's but the quality is like 5 times better. We especially love the variety of baked pork baos, the sweet bread loafs--the red bean is awesome--and the Portugese style dun tat. I haven't tried their cakes but the look beautiful. Also the family that runs the place is super nice. Millbrae is so lucky to have this business.

Exceptional baked goods!! The Portuguese tarts did not disappoint. The crust was phenomenal and the filling was generous. The shop looks plain, but even their bread was delicious!

They bake an item called the Pearl bread and they only do it on weekends. I get in line to wait while in line. I asked if they will be having any Pearl bread today the cashier said yes. Then as I get to the cashier, I asked if the bread was ready and if not, if I can pay first, she said yes let me go and check comes back and tells me that the oven is busy today so they might not even bake any. What's the point of telling people you only bake on weekends and when they come on weekends, you tell them they might not be baking it. This is some really crappy service and people's time used to be respected. Again, this says nothing about the quality of the food but at the very least put up a sign on the door that says no Pearl bread today if that's something patience specifically try for specifically on weekends extremely disappointed.
