Dianda's Italian American Pastry

I'm not sure how I mispelled Dianda's in my first review since my family has been coming here since before I was born, but autocorrect can be a struggle sometimes.I stopped by yesterday and everything is as delicious as ever! I do wish they would update their display case and give the place a refresh just so everything is more aesthetically pleasing (I always recommend this place to people, but the inside and outside are so run-down that I feel like more people would want to give it a chance if it looked a little more appealing).That being said, I'll always come back!

Let's just say it's worth the trip. I enjoyed the moment and got the biscotti and coffee. Being here reminded me so much of home in Philly. The Italian bakeries. I miss home and I felt a little piece of me was there by eating here. Thank you for being you. The girl behind the counter was nice and helpful with choices. The ladies there spoke Italian and it was music to my ears... it's a cute place tucked into the shopping center .. I'm glad I went and I will be back..

Delicious Italian cookies and cakes! The cookies are sold by weight so i highly recommend you grab a few different kinds to try. The cakes are very moist and not too sweet. Overall service is fine. The few times I've been there no one was smiling or giving suggestions on things to try. They're not overly hospitable but they're certainly not rude. Ambiance is a bit lacking. Best to just grab and go or possible sit outside and eat if it's a warm day. The inside has a handful of tables, but no WiFi and not really a sit and stay vibe. Things to try: Black Forest cake, any of the biscotti and the amaretti. Honestly nothing is bad here.

Old school Italian pastry and cake designs, probably back to the 70s-80s. They have several options for pastries and cake slices.We bought one cookie, one chocolate tondini and one strawberry fruit tart. Well, they were too sweet to our likings. All of them.The service was mediocre. We were disappointed because of all the high reviews. I personally don't like their cake design, so to each their own. We wouldn't come back.

Rude service is a common theme in the bad reviews, so I wasn't super surprised by non friendly service, but their pastries aren't great either to make up for it. I've had their cakes, not impressed.I had an eclair - one of my favorite desserts - on top is like a too-sweet chocolate icing, crust was ok, it wasn't soggy, but "whip cream" filling was weirdly marshmallowy? At $6, you can find better eclairs at other high end bakeries. Unfortunately I had better whip cream at Safeway bakery.For the cookies, I've a bunch, including Brutti ma Buoni and pignoli, but it was either too hard, too much amaretto, too sweet... But Chocolate almond biscotti was good, nutty, and not too hard! That's the only one I liked. I've had these pastries living in Italy for a bit, and really does not compare.

I love this place! Stopped by to pick up a treat for a friend of course had to pick up one for us! Got her the Strawberry tart and a cannoli and us the Chocolate strawberry cake! There was not much left as it was 4:30 but man was it good! It was too good and I forgot a photo before I ate it!

I'm sorry but these cannolis are the worst I've ever tried. Loaded with tons of sugar and zero authentic flavors.

Such yummy and delicious treats! There was a crowd in the shop on a Sunday afternoon. There are a few tables but this is largely take away. The staff is friendly and the meringues were out of this world. I will be back!

For an Italian Bakery, where are the Italians? I was hoping for some good traditional Italian Desserts like Sfogliatelle. They didnt have many actual Italian desserts. They had some pastries, tres leches cakes/slices, sponge cakes, etc. I got the lemon tart. It was way way too sweet. It was like a vanilla pudding under the half cup of lemon cake filling. I thought it was going to be real lemon. Threw it away.

Came in on Thanksgiving morning to pick up a cake I ordered. Stood in line and then when I was next up to be helped, the staff person (a bigger mexican lady) repeatedly asked if I had been waiting in line and if I was actually next to be helped. The customers before me tried to help and say I was right behind them but this lady then continued to ask once more. Unsure if she's just racist but honestly if you can't get your bearings together and see who's clearly next to be helped maybe you shouldn't be working in a customer service role.I had orded a tiramisu cake and by the time we ate it in the afternoon, the top layer of cake was dry.
