Took another long overdue solo lunch at the bakery. I was delightfully excited to see the updated decor and serving plates. The counter service was very friendly and gave me a subtle tip I appreciated. She hinted to go for the "large" chicken salad as it now takes place of the small. I did take her advice along with a lemonade and my bill was around $27. The salad presented pretty way more colorful than before. Very generous in size and could not finish it all but not enough to bother with a box. The salad dressing is different every time I order this salad! Never bad but I'm guessing it depends who makes it that day or order. The new to me plate of a terracotta color was a pleasant surprise. After lunch I wandered to the bakery for a few cookies to take home and 6 were $18. Very fresh and delicious.Parking was very difficult and with a two hour meter leaves no time to shop or browse. Many new stores on the block would have liked to visit.

I've gone to Copenhagen in Burlingame a couple of times for baked goods & such. It wasnt until a recent trip back home to the Bay that I was able to have a sit down meal. It was a good one. We were in town on a recent Sunday & Burlingame Ave was packed. The weather was nice and clear, the farmers market was also going on along one of the side streets. We walked in on the cafe side of Copenhagen, ordered at the counter, got our order number and found a table for 2. I went with ham & eggs ($15.49) and that comes with hash browns & buttered toast. The scrambled eggs were good, the ham steak was nice & smoky, the hash browns were thin & crispy just the way I like it. Buttered toast for breakfast with jelly was perfect. My lady ordered eggs benedict ($17.45) and thats come classically with canadian bacon. She liked it. It was a perfect breakfast for us on that Sunday morning. It was a hectic and busy that morning so I feel for the staff. One thing, I would prefer is pets be at the outside dining area. It's tight quarters in the dining room and someone brings a decent sized dog, it's certainly disruptive. There is more than enough tables for sidewalk seating.Street parking out front and behind the shops & restaurants, lot parking across California Dr by the train station.

I don't understand the purpose of having lines formed, especially forming a single file line if they are not honored. To let the white man, literally a white man jump the line so nonchalantly and him having the how dare you pompous attitude of how dare you question my ability to jump the line is what's wrong with the world. As a person of color, I'm highly disgusted this behavior and pattern of privilege is still tolerated and accepted, especially by the staff who are all persons of colors. As a decades long, faithful Customer to your establishment, you would think as to basic right and wrong and equality of rights when you're paying hundreds of dollars for desserts, you should feel secure in the fact that when you're standing at the front of the line, a white person should not have the right to just cut you off and order before you. Please do better.

Always a fun place to visit and peruse their collection. I've liked everything we've gotten here, most recently the pineapple coconut cake. Not the most sophisticated bakery and cakes tend to be pretty sweet, but we like it. Service is always kind.

Strolling around downtown Burlingame & we've decided to eat at which restaurant can seat us the soonest. No regrets because to this day, I still think of the chicken marsala meal I had here. Cute Danish bakery & cafe. Bread & butter on the house. Capellini & wild mushrooms on angel hair pasta was surprisingly delicious! Who knew such simple flavors could be so good. But the chicken marsala takes the cake! Huge enough to be shared between two, served with mashed potatoes, & sauteed baby spinach... & I wish I asked for extra of the marsala sauce because it was THAT good. Totally forgot the name of the older lady that helped us here but she seemed to have been there for a while since most diners knew her by name & she knew them & their families as well. She was lovely & made our dining experience here even better. Felt like we were eating at her house. Lol. Loved our dining experience here. The food was great. The staff was incredible. We were too stuffed to get anything from the bakery side but we'll save that for next time.

With two dessert places right next to each other, it can be difficult to decide which one is better. Copenhagen is classic and their selection can't be beat. If you like a wide variety with all around friendly service, then this is the clear no brainer. The prices are also reasonable. On a weekday evening, they still had enough choices to make you seriously consider filling up a whole box of goodies to take home. Chocolate mousse cake $6.95Oh wow. Comparing to the desserts next door, Copenhagen is definitely a worthy competitor! Although small, their chocolate mousse cake is dense and super satisfying. I would highly recommend Copenhagen if you're feeling indecisive about which dessert place to break your diet with. Grab a seat at their cozy diner tables and enjoy!

Had a team breakfast at Copenhagen Bakery & Café in downtown Burlingame -- such a cute spot! It was pretty empty, so we grabbed a table near the bakery. I ordered the Copenhagen Omelette ($16.99), topped with guac and sour cream, served with homestyle potatoes and multigrain toast -- tasty and filling. Also got a mocha ($5.75), which was rich and smooth. Service was quick and friendly. The café's location in the heart of downtown Burlingame adds to its charm -- parking can be tricky, but there's paid parking around the back. Great spot for a casual breakfast or work meetup!

Well, this place is quite a gem in Burlingame California. Me and my significant other usually go to Café Central but we were running late and so this was the next place. Their coffee was good their pastries very good. I will definitely recommend this place and definitely will come back again. For it being on the late side it was a little busy in the café area, but not too bad.
