Got the steamed mushroom and fish & zucchini and egg dumplings, and the chive pancake was deliciously shaped like a hot pocket. My order arrived quickly and steaming hot.I'm surprised this place doesn't have more ratings!"

Jerell M. "Was looking for lunch after a shopping session near San Carlos, and Isarn was an amazing find. This place will rank very high of all the Thai restaurants in the peninsula. The restaurant will hold a fair amount of people and the space was pretty cozy, aided with all kinds of Thai and holiday motifs. Big bonus for having their own parking lot.The menu was very extensive, and I appreciated the availability of the lunch specials. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew captured the right flavors, the dumpling in curry sauce and fried tofu were hits with the children, and the basil beef rice plate was fantastic. The Praram Chicken could have benefited from more flavors. The special papaya salad dish was surprising with all the extra meats, but be forwarded that their spice levels are right at par on what you would expect in the Thai culture. A level 2 spice is far more than a tickle. There were two servers for a weekday lunch, but they were very attentive to all the patrons. This was a great experience and worth another drive back to get more."

Our order got taken right away and the food came in a blink of an eye. It's rare to find ramen broth this hearty made with chicken and not pork. Also they feature a few options that are vegan. The noodles are aldente. Broth is hearty, savory and flavorful. Egg is cooked to perfection and the staff is quick and incredibly kind. Chashu duck and regular chashu both are delicious! We'll keep coming back because it's always worth the wait!"

I've tried the green curry with beef, yellow curry with chicken, drunken noodles, panang curry, short ribs, spicy eggplant, and spicy catfish. Every single thing is tasty and full of flavor. My favorite items are probably the green curry, short ribs, and catfish. They really do mean it when they say spicy, so don't go for Thai spicy unless you can really handle it! I've never been to the actual restaurant so I can't speak to the dining in experience, but I highly recommend trying this out!"

SF U. "Food is very meh, and the condiments on the table are not adequate or traditional. There is no Chinese chili oil paste on the table. Instead there is black pepper and siracha (feels cheapened and dumbed down. Might as well put ketchup on the side too). The wonton soup broth is bland and watery, which is a shame because the wontons and veg are good. The chicken fried rice is decent with a smoky flavor. The salt and pepper chicken wings are breaded and not traditional. This completely threw us off. They were not what we were expecting at all. Personally I wouldn't name them this, as it's misleading. While they are good in their own way, they are Americanized. The Xiao Long Bao are decent, but not worth the money. The garlic noodles with pork were really good. The noodles were springy and chewy. But they use American broccoli that's over steamed, why not use Chinese broccoli (especially in Chinatown). The Shrimp Har Gow was the biggest winner. Big and plump. Good consistency. The interior is fun and modern, but the food feels like the quality of a mall food court. Just tweak a few things here and there to make it more authentic and you'll be 5stars. So much potential!!"

Pascale S. "Dumpling Story is as popular as it is for a reason! The sister restaurant to Dumpling Home, this place is on Fillmore and located closer to our neighborhood so we visit here more frequently now. The dumplings are always sooo delicious, and I understand why there's often a line or wait to get a table. I came on a rainy Saturday around 2pm and once we arrived and joined the waitlist it was about a 20 minute wait for a table for 3. I wish they allowed joining the Yelp waitlist remotely so you could do it in your way to the restaurant and not have to wait as long once you arrive. We got Jasmine tea, then split some dumplings and other dishes. Their soup dumplings are absolutely the best menu item, we almost ordered another round of them at the end of our meal. Everything else I've tried here is delicious too: green beans, brussel sprouts, pork buns (although I wish these had been BBQ), Dan Dan noodles. But the dumplings are really the star of the show. The service was friendly and checked up on us frequently. The food also came out quickly and we could tell everything had been freshly cooked. We love this spot and definitely will return!"

It's an intimidating name for a restaurant but I gave them a try. I ordered the chicken and fish maw with flaming pot and it was excellent. It was definitely "hot" - it numbs the tongue a little and my face started really sweating. I absolutely loved it. I needed more napkins to wipe the sweat off my face. Service was good though the restaurant wasn't busy. I liked the decor - it's a little more upscale than the traditional Chinatown restaurant. With tax and tip, this dish was around $38 - relatively pricey for lunch but I enjoyed it. I'd recommend them if you are looking for some spicy food in Chinatown."

Lisa Y. "The best Khaosoi I've had! With the name of a restaurant being a dish, it has to be good right?! Well, it definitely lives up to the name! Khaosoi Thai offers four different types of Khaosoi dishes, including one with beef, fried chicken, shrimp tempura, and a veggie version. Each consists of egg noodles, egg, crispy noodles, lime, pickles, chilies, and shallots in a creamy coconut curry broth. The texture of the noodles is really good, and the flavor of the broth has a balance of sweet and savory. The Khaosoi Beef is served with a HUGE beef short rib! They have limited orders of this available per day.I also really enjoyed their Thai Fried Rice. You can order this by itself or with fried chicken. I highly recommend ordering it with the fried chicken though! The batter on the outside is light and crispy. It also comes with a tasty sauce for dipping. The green curry is served with rice and is loaded with lots of vegetables, including regular eggplant, Thai eggplant (which I don't often see!), bamboo shoots, and bell peppers. You also choose your protein: chicken, tofu, beef, or shrimp. For appetizers, we got the Crispy Egg Rolls and Samosas. The egg rolls are thin and contain vegetables and glass noodles with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. The samosas appear empanada-like in shape but are more flakey and have potatoes and other vegetables inside. It's served with a curry sauce for dipping. I love that both of these appetizers are also served with a refreshing yet tart cucumber salad on the side. They're also topped with edible flowers and are quite pretty! I would definitely recommend the Thai Chicken Salad as well! This larb is aromatic and flavorful. There's a chili pepper symbol next to it on the menu, but I didn't think it was too spicy, so don't stray away from this one if you're worried about the heat!Other unique items on the menu that I'll have to come back to try are their Tom Yum Ramen and Green Curry Ramen! Overall, great food, cute interior space, and friendly service!"

Mike L. "Okay, let's be honest - the concept of an Asian-centric food truck isn't all that unique, but it's especially true in the Bay Area. Whether they offer Asian-fusion tacos and burritos, more traditional fare, or something "Asian inspired", you don't have to look hard to find one. However, despite how many of those trucks there are out there, very few of them put out food as good as Sip-N-Slurp's!Now, compared to their aforementioned competitors, Sip N Slurp's menu falls in the middle of the road - far more interesting than a bunch of trucks out there, but not exactly unique or innovative either. Which, in this case, works perfectly fine. Rather than try to catch people's attention with a bunch of bells and whistles or gimmicks, they go with the tried and true formula of just offering delicious looking food! On any given day, they may "only" have to offer one or two starters and a handful of noodle options, but everything that I've tried has been really, really good.-- CHICKEN KARAAGE - Marinated Chicken Bites Topped with Soy Mayo and Shaved Bonito...$8(https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sipnslurp-food-truck-san-francisco-2?select=5ViFmv5FKttctoxNoRVFiw)At a glance, this didn't look super impressive (the pieces seemed small), but the taste of this was pretty solid. Despite their size, the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. I do wish the breading was a little more crisp, but the bonito flakes on top added a nice finish.-- UDON NOODLES - Udon Noodles Tossed in Special Soy Sauce and Garlic Oil Topped with Seared Pork Belly, Fresh Cucumber, Scallions, and Spicy Furikake...$12(https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=kuQStNEwpgNFzzCZDjnfTA&userid=JKIkdVqAJLEXTq92gF98bA)This is probably their most "basic" dish on the menu, but it was no less delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly (soft with a slight bite) and the pork belly, which was really tender, was cut surprisingly thick.-- GYOZA - Kobe Style Pork and Cabbage Fried Dumplings...$6(https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sipnslurp-food-truck-san-francisco-2?select=einy_3N2ZfJNcdXsjKfkOw)This was the most underwhelming thing I've had here, but it's not like I expected it to be amazing either. The skins were pretty hard along the seam and the filling was kind of generic. At the same time, it's not like this was awful, just kind of generic.-- MY NAME IS DAN, DAN DAN - Ramen Noodles Topped with Spicy Szechuan Style Ground Pork, Fresh Cucumbers, Scallions, Cilantro, Sesame, Corn, and Housemade Chili Oil...$12(https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Kyqmv2IMFtmR_bYWs7_xrw&userid=JKIkdVqAJLEXTq92gF98bA)By far, this is my favorite thing here. I ordered mine without cilantro (of course) and everything about this was perfect - the noodles were cooked just right, there was a generous amount of pork and scallions, and I loved the slight kick from the oil (wish there was more of it, though).-- GARLIC MY NOODLES - Ramen Noodles Tossed in Special Garlic Sauce Topped with Tempura Shrimp Dressed in Sweet Soy, Fried Shallots, and Green Onions...#12(https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=_hztjMScEvgHkniJntFQvw&userid=JKIkdVqAJLEXTq92gF98bA)While the Dan Dan noodles rank at the top of the list, this one isn't far behind. It's a bit simple by comparison, but it was great - the noodles had a nice garlicky flavor (though I could always use more) and the tempura was still crispy despite the soy. Plus, it comes with four pieces!Given the grab-and-go nature of food trucks, there's usually not much to add in the way of service. However, the girl who usually works the window to take orders is awesome - very friendly and patient (one of my coworkers had question on a couple of things). What's more, the staff here moves quick! Sure, there's not a ton of cooking involved, especially since there's some overlapping ingredients, but I still appreciate how they get you on your way so quickly!Since I've previously proclaimed a couple of other food trucks as my "favorites" in past reviews, I'm hesitant to do it again, despite how much I like Sip N Slurp. At the same, I have zero qualms saying that if I saw Sip N Slurp posted up with a bunch of other trucks at an OTG event (or anywhere else), I wouldn't hesitate to come back for more! The herbal soymilk is just normal hot soymilk with a jam/paste made with goji berries and jujubes added to it. It's hot, not too sweet and very enjoyable to drink. These rice rolls have a silky, delicate, and thin texture. It doesn't really have the glutinous "chew" that normal rice rolls have.
