Bayview Bistro is a food truck park located on a small patch of land on Third street between Innes and Hudson. They are open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11am to 4pm. The vendors are local caterers and food trucks from the Bayview area. I ordered the $12 Chicken Combo plate that came with 2 piece chicken, potato salad, beans and sliced bread. The food was good and loved the BBQ sauce that I believe Big H makes. It was really nice to sit out in their sunny picnic area. There are umbrellas if you want to get out of the sub, but it just felt like summer was coming. BBQ and sunshine, perfection!Get out there, try something new and support local businesses!

I was looking for some BBQ and found the Big "H" BBQ food truck. I ordered the rib dinner which was three 3 large ribs, and got a side of beans and potato salad. Damn good!! The ribs were awesome. The beans were sweet and spicy and tasted like they had some bacon in them. Potato salad was fine. Great customer service. Wow, we just had a Bayview Bistro box (the Mardi Gras box) and it was phenomenal. Every item in the box was delicious on its own-- and the whole box together? Incredible! The box had gumbo, peas and rice, candied yams, cheesy fiesta potatoes, buttermilk hoe cakes, corn pudding, banana fosters pudding, and steamed greens. I also ordered an add on of shrimp. Everything was super delicious- our favorites were the banana pudding, gumbo and shrimp but truly everything was so delicious on its own and fantastic together. The banana pudding had an incredible caramel flavor-- it was just perfect. The portions were also really generous. The taste, portions and value/price--10/10. And ease of use with delivery available for a fee- awesome. The best pop up experience!Check out their site for more info on how it works (a new menu weekly and order by Wednesday afternoon). There are varied portion sizes (eg for 2, 4 people), omnivore or veggie options and add ons.Do yourself a favor and order a Bayview Bistro box now! You will be so happy you did!

Mannnn...we ordered some food last week, everything was absolutely delicious. I haven't been this pleased with a takeout meal during COVID until now. It was perfect!The menu:Jerk Chicken (so tasty and juicy), roasted potatoes (bomb!), corn pudding (didn't know I was a fan until now), potato salad (on point), broccoli and cheese (yummy), lentil empanada type of thing (definitely didn't think I was going to like this, but it was smackin'), watermelon/mint salad with feta cheese (never was a fan of feta, but this was so good), and the peach cobbler (holy crap this was to die for!). Can't wait to try another meal! Didn't even get to take a pic of the food because it went too fast.

We started ordering the Bayview Bistro box and are OBSESSED! They provide excellent variety in food, sauces I could never replicate myself, seasonings that are so full of flavor, and who doesn't love a tasty and easily reheat-able meal? The collard greens had a little kick in it and their banana pudding will blow your socks off! Have been ordering the box for 4 as a house of 2 and ZERO regrets! Highly recommend! Currently only available for pickup!

Great little food truck spot in the Bayview, which needs it badly. Open Wednesday thru Friday, 11am-2pm. It's soul food all the way, but there's a Vegan Jambalaya option.

Location doesn't even exist. I drove down to the area since yelp says that it's open and it had really great reviews. However, I show up and there's an empty lot. Not sure where this place is supposed to be located if the map is incorrect maybe somebody should update it.

After a bad experience, I decided to try again for the winter holiday meal.After a full day of holiday cookie baking, the last thing I wanted to think about was dinner.I was grateful to receive the holiday box even though it arrived late, but hey at least it arrived this time!Overall I'm impressed with the food. There wasn't an item on the list where I would not want to eat again. The menu changes weekly so it's hard to review each individual item since it might not be available again the follow weeks.The meal kit is meant for 2-3 people. However they gave enough to last us 2 meals for 2-3 people so portions are big.Be prepared to have fridge space if you don't plan on eating right away and/or have leftovers. It's a lot of containers and I had to play a bit of Tetris to fit it all in my fridge.Based on this experience, I would be willing to order from Bayview Bistro again. It may be because I ordered during their Thanksgiving meal and Holiday meal weeks where there may be a huge demand of orders. But I'm hesitant on using their delivery service until they work all of the kinks out.
