I recently visited Saigon House on a Sunday afternoon with a group of friends, and unfortunately, I have to say wtf bro. Right from the moment we walked in, we encountered several issues regarding where and how to place our orders. The cashier who took our order seemed to be constantly engaged in yelling matches with the cook and other employees, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. ON TOP OF ALL THAT old chick at the cashier also offered a minor alcohol for a tip. This place was off the perc man. They then insistenced on receiving tips after each of us placed our orders, but but rather than incorporating it into their system, they asked us to use a cash app or leave money on the table. This felt like an unnecessary and sussy approach. Moving on to the food itself, I ordered the crawfish with the H-town bang sauce, and I must admit that the sauce was the highlight of the dish. It had a really good flavor and added a nice kick. However, This crawfish was dirty asf and the crawfish sizes were really tiny too. Our waitress also spilled a whole glass of water on someones seat and didnt do anything about it. As we were about to leave, our waitress reminded us once again (omfg) to leave a tip on the table. None of us tipped bro we bounced right after we were done. Crawfish : 3/10Sauce : 8.5/10Staff : wtf yall doing over there 0/10Ambience : 2/10

I've been hearing people rave about their crawfish so one friday, my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try since we couldn't eat meat anyways. When we got there, there was a sign at the door saying for us to wait to be seated but then there was a couple next to us saying that we could be seated anywhere and we'd just go to the counter to order when we were ready and they'd bring it to us when our food was ready. For a friday night, there was a very good crowd there, most of the tables were taken and luckily thye had an outdoor porch for people to go outside as well.We ordered 2 lbs of 3 of the sauces to try them all. All of them had a base of garlic butter and then had a mix of different herbs to change up the flavor. We enjoyed each of them but my boyfriend preferred the thai basil sauce. They also did charge us for $1/lime also which was kind of crazy because I'd never heard of a place charging us for limes for us. I would say that I would come back again but unfortunately my boyfriend and I both experienced the runs about an hour after eating here. Don't know if it was too much garlic butter or the crawfish itself but most likely to avoid that ever happening, we'll most likely not come back for the crawfish. We might come to try other food because they did have fried rice and a few other items on the menu.

Woahhh I got H-town bang and Thai surprise and they literally tasted the same. Super salty and I didn't taste any butter or garlic from the H-town one. The store is clean and nice. The staff was okay. Not coming back

I wrote this review and posted it 2 months ago but now it's Sigh, Gone. This is the place to come in the north part of Houston if you want some Vietnamese style crawfish. There really aren't very many places who can do it as well as this and that's the main reason that a lot of people come here - and that's why we come here. They do them very well. I don't love this style, I prefer the Cajun style, this is a more Viet Asian style, but if you love this style this is one of the best places to get them.

Solid 4 stars. I really like the remodel they did here. I used to come here when it was occupied by a different Vietnamese restaurant. They have done a great job turning this place around. Food: wings. The wings are great. I will ask for them to be crispy next time. I like my wings crispy. These were really good though. Lots of flavor. Definitely my favorite out of the food I got today. The sausage gumbo was okay. Tasted Like they put a ton of butter. I couldn't finish it. They need to tweak that recipe. Customer service: is really good! Great phone skills. The people that work here are really nice. Things to work on. The gumbo, too much butter. The wings. Make them a bit more crispy. Also update the prices on the menu. The wings show 6.89 but I was charged 8.89 I willl definitely come back to try more items off their menu. Very close to 5 star I will be back soon.

These crawfish... are AMAZING! We got the h-town bang flavor and . That's all I can say. Also love how clean the crawfish were... it was like they scrubbed each one individually. I'll be back. Probably tomorrow. And at least once a week during crawfish season. The place is a little small now with limited seating but they do have outside seating for when it warms up and they are in the process of expanding with a full bar... so keep that in mind for now. The staff is very attentive and super nice!

I was on the prowl for some crawfish. This place came highly recommended by others in Houston. I drove far but it was worth it in my opinion. I was so surprised with the quantity and quality of crawfish I received. My waitress was very polite and seated me immediately. I ordered 2 pounds of the Saigon heat flavor and angry dragon heat. They were spicy but what other way can you eat crawfish right? LolFor my beverage I had the Hennessy drink and the amaretto drink (i forgot the exact names) but they were tasty.

Ok, I see you Saigon House. This quaint Viet-Cajun cafe is a top contender for southern style seafood dishes and comfort food. It is locally-owned, and the chefs behind the restaurant have quite the reputation, with many awards & recognitions under their belt. The most popular items to order are their peel & eat boils, especially the crawfish. Keep in mind that the spice/seasoning is a bit different than traditional Tex-Cajun flavor profile. While most mudbug enthusiasts are accustomed to a tangy-spicy, theirs is sweeter (heavy on garlic & a touch of Oyster Sauce). However, heat level can be adjusted. There are 3 levels of intensity, from Sissy Unicorn, to Fiery Phoenix, and Angry Dragon (haha). Additional flavor mixes can be customized too; the base is HTown Bang, and add ons are 3rd Coast (Cajun), Saigon Heat (citrus & onion), and Thai (basil & lemongrass). This was our first time, and we tried the crawfish, the mini shrimp spring rolls, potato hash, and shrimp gumbo. We very much enjoyed our spread! It was very filling for 2 hungry adults, and a nice variety for sampling... Everything was cooked well. Yummy! Also worth mentioning: This place feels so comfy & cozy. One side of the restaurant is a quiet dining nook, while the other side has bar area that carries a more upbeat vibe, and there's also outdoor seating on the patio out front. The service is super on point; laid back but friendly, attentive & gracious... Their small man crew was going non-stop, constantly taking orders, cranking out food, steadily refilling drinks, and immediately cleaning tables. Kudos to the hard work & dedication of their team. We appreciated the experience and enjoyed our meal very much! We plan on coming back again soon (and many times over) to try the other menu items.... And, we would love to see this stellar establishment continue with its success!

Saigon house is definitely the B-E-S-T crawfish we have eaten in the Houston area. My husband, sister and her husband went there tonight and we were worried that getting there at 8pm when they were closing at 9pm would not be enough time but they worked quickly and was very efficient. Let's talk about we had:1) Crawfish: 2 lbs Saigon mild, 2 lbs Saigon Angry Dragon, 4 lbs H-Town Bang Angry Dragon. 9.5/10!!!!! The only reason they lose 0.5 points is that the server didn't know who ordered what but luckily by the add on we were able to tell. Our favorite was the H-town Bang Angry Dragon. Loaded with a flavor packed sauce, highlights of garlic, and heat complimented each other perfectly. The crawfish themselves were an awesome size, clean, and tasted amazing. 2) Mini shrimp egg rolls: 9/10. I am sooo happy my sister who doesn't eat pork/beef was able to have this. Perfectly crunchy, each bite filled with shrimp. They lose 1 point for being greasy BUT it was not a big deal. I stopped up mine with some paper towels. 3) Exxxtremely hot dumplings: 10/10. Exceptional flavor and freshness. Our overall experience here was 9.5/10. We journeyed 45 mins to get here but it was worth every minute. This is our new go-to place for crawfish in Houston!!!!

My first review of the year goes to Saigon House!Their crawfish boil beats every other place I've ever had. The crawfish is fresh and more importantly, CLEAN. You can tell they clean their crawfish very well because it doesn't taste gritty at all. The flavors, though -- AMAZING. I love viet-cajun and they execute it perfectly. My friends and I ordered eight pounds in H-town Bang and Thai Surprise in spicy. It was soooo good! I was expecting it to be super high in sodium like other seafood boil places, but it was just right. We also ordered the fried rice, shrimp egg rolls, fries, and drinks. I'd absolutely order the shrimp egg rolls again - they were so cute and a perfect appetizer. They have a full-sized bar to make drinks for your heart's (or liver's) content.Stephanie was super hospitable and the chef came out to greet us. Saigon House is out of the way for me, but I'd def make the drive here again (:
