Red Crab

AVOID AT ALL COST. I don't usually leave reviews but I need to warn everyone that they use frozen seafood especially the crawfish. I ordered 3 pounds of crawfish, half of them were dead and the rest you can tell it was frozen from the foul taste. Don't wast your time or money here.

Red Crab is one of my favorites in Houston and hits the spot when I'm craving a good Cajun seafood boil. Like other places, you're able to build your own boil from a menu featuring various types of crab, crustaceans, and veggies like corn and potatoes. Whether you prefer snow crab, king crab, blue crab, shrimp, or lobster, Red Crab has something to satisfy every seafood palate. The Cajun seasonings along with butter add the perfect blend of spice and zest and richness. Every time I've been to Red Crab the seafood has been cooked perfectly. Paired with a beer or michelada (beer + Clamato), you're in for a delicious meal and fun experience.

I wouldn't recommend this seafood spot go to bayou seafood and wings. They overprice the shrimp look frozen and they were overcooked. Just not good

I love this place! I've been 3 times now and will continue to come back. I've ordered different boils each time and enjoyed all of them. My favorite flavor is the combo with all 3 flavors (Juicy Special)I like spicy food, so their hot was a medium to me. I'll order the extra hot next time. My boyfriend doesn't have a spicy palette and the medium made him sweet a little. I thought it was very mild. I wasn't a huge fan of their crab puffs. Their fries are delicious! And their rice (plain white rice) is good to soak up the boil juice. In terms of drinks, their mixed cocktails are hot or miss. They're always good, but not always balanced. Now their FISH BOWLS?? Always a hit, and always strong. You only need 1, I promise

Red Crab is located on W. 34th Street next to Hwy. 290 in a run down strip center with parking only available out front and it can be limited at times. Inside the restaurant is colorfully decorated in a nautical theme with plenty of seating available. It is a seafood restaurant that offers mainly boiled and fried seafood entrees with daily specials and special lunch options. Recently, I visited twice for dinner.My first visit had me feeling for some pasta so I ordered their Pasta with Mix Seafood for $15. It arrived less than 15 minutes later and contained shrimp, black mussels and clams with spaghetti in an Alfredo sauce. I was pleased not only with the taste but also the quantity of seafood provided. The Alfredo sauce is unique in that it is a little spicy having a peppery taste. This meal filled me and I enjoyed it. The second visit a week later was for some fried seafood and I asked for the Catfish and Shrimp with Cajun fries for $13.50. I received 2 large catfish fillets and 4 plump shrimp on the bed of hot fries. I liked this meal too especially the shrimp. On both visits, my waitress was Sheila and she did an excellent job. Very professional and with a calm and assuring voice Sheila is the waitress you should ask for when you come here. Red Crab is a very good restaurant to come get your seafood fix.

So this review is based on take out experience.The food was tasty and well prepared and above all what I ordered was what was in the bag when I arrived back at the house which is a plus. Would I return to this restaurant, yes!Seemed a little pricey but it's a pandemic and supply shortages.

omg worst service didn't even get my order right so freaking slow oh my god??? had to wait almost an hour for some fried shrimp. i could've gone to Galveston, and fished my own shrimp and cooked it by the time it took and still would've been faster than this slow service. mid.

My mom and I came here and had a great dinner last year. Unfortunately not the case anymore... I came tonight with my boyfriend and son and had a waitress with a terrible attitude and pick and chose attitude on who she wanted to help and serve. While taking our order she cut me off and said "oh hold on let me go take their order" she then came back and took ours, mind you these people just walked in and we'd been waiting for a good 20 minutes. Food came... We'd ask her for something and she would say of course and start talking to what seemed like friends or family at another table for 5-10 minutes, she'd Forget about it and we'd ask again and again waited for it for a good minute. While eating our food she kept giving nasty looks and at one point came over and started making passive aggressive comments about us taking our time while eating and enjoying our dinner, some of the comments were way out of line...When she came to the our order the first time I let her know that there was blood in the bathroom on the floors, walls, and toilet paper dispenser. (Looked like someone took out a tampon and just swung it around splattering everywhere) She responded with "oh I cleaned that up about 3 o'clock!!" ... Ummm no you took a paper towel and smeared it around the floor and didn't even touch the rest. Servers are serving people alcohol who are way passed drunk, while I was in the restroom some lady comes in screaming and hollering at a no good man for never taking her out yet the man is a highly wanted criminal and she could get him put in prison! Umm okay... I had to open the door to stop the echo of this woman screaming because my son had to scream over her to tell me she was being too loud and hurting his ears. She then started washing her hands got soap flung it all offer the place and started washing her hands with no soap on her hands, while stumbling and holding onto the counter close to falling several times. No one came to check if everything was okay but our very rude waitress took no time to ask me why she was so angry as soon as I came out of the restroomUnfortunately the pictures doesn't show all the blood for management to see... also I took these pictures an hour after I let the girl know about it, the men's restroom was cleaned 2 times in the amount of time we were there from 7:30pm-10pmI do not recommend this place what so ever. It's become a terrible place to go.

Great welcoming service! Got the Thursday and Wednesday.. With no spice and garlic amazing flavor!! Best I have had in many years. Andres was our server, bartender and host all in one doing it all but cooking!! His service was a 5 star service. Place was peaceful and quite at 5pm dinner. But started to speed up and get full. Would remember this place and definitely come back! This is what good seafood is!

Poor poor customer service. Guy at desk sits and drinks out of a patron bottle everytime I'm there. Food is cool but way too overpriced.
