"Very impressed with the waffles here! I'm usually a pancake person, but the waffles were delicious! The chicken was good. Got thighs, wings, waffle, and chicken pot pie. Chicken pot pie was very flavorful and didn't feel heavy at all! Luckily we beat the rush and didn't have to wait for a table. They have stool seating. Awesome customer service!"
"I'd been meaning to try Dame's Chicken and Waffles for a while and it just happened to be a few doors down from CapriFlavors. I was greeted when I arrived and seated right by one of the doors so it was cold at my seat and I noticed most of the other patrons had kept their jackets on. For some reason the door wasn't shut completely either. Service was friendly at first and my order came out fairly quickly but it was so slow to get the check. Groups that came in after me that had a different server left long before I received my check. There was a wait to get a seat at the restaurant by this point too. It was rather empty when I arrived. You'd think they'd want to turn over the tables. The tables did not seem too clean either.I went with the sweet potato waffle; a chicken cutlet and blueberry schmear. When it was brought out I could tell the chicken was overcooked. It wasn't just mine as I looked at what the other tables were getting. I didn't taste the sweet potato at all. I did like the blueberry schmear. I don't see myself returning here for a meal again."

"Was here about 4 months ago July 2023Great vintage ambiance, weathered looking wood and decor (that's a good thing!)Was greeted nicely by the server, everyone was nice and welcoming The food was really tasty and menu selections were adequate. I wanted to try more but I was too stuffed!Decent place, decent prices, wouldn't mind going back if I'm ever in the areaThat's all YELPies!Enjoy!"
"I was told by numerous people to check out Gravy as the food was amazing. Amazing was a stretch as the gnocchi that was recommended as well was super rich, thick, and heavy. There was a lack of flavor, but heavy on the sauce and cream. I think due to this, the flavor of the peppers and other seasonings were drowned out.Three stars overall for the service and the people. My server was very kind and helpful. When she asked if I liked the gnocchi and I was honest with her, she quickly asked me what else I wanted, asked no questions, and got me something else. I decided to order the salada sandwich, which was a grilled mushroom pattie topped with grilled tomatoes and spinach. It lacked a lot of flavor, but adding the Caesar dressing and parmessian cheese helped. The food does not live up to its name or reputation, and that is why I won't return. Continue to have amazing service while improving the food!"
"Tazza Kitchen is a small chain of American Diners mostly located in Virginia & the Carolinas. My friend who lives in South Carolina took us here, she likes the place and the food...I can see why. Good size venue, causal ambiance, friendly staff and fairly easy on the finances. #Adulting:~ ONE FINE DAY - 4/5READ THE MENU... CAREFULLY!! lol. They got me at; Watermelon & Hibiscus with lime. I completely missed the non- alcoholic part...lol. I was looking forward to a refreshing cocktail. #Grub:~ CHIPS & GUACAMOLE - 4/5Just a solid standard Chips & Guac, good stuff, just shy of amazing. ~ SPICY SAUSAGE & BLACK PEPPER HONEY PIZZA - 4/5This was a nice surprise. The pizza already sounded very interesting to me, the addition of Honey just put it over the top. Very tasty.#TACOS:The plate of Tacos includes two, and for an upcharge, a Third. I wanted to try a couple of different Tacos, luckily you are able to choose two different Tacos for one dish. ~ CHILI MARINATED SHRIMP TACO - 4.5/5An excellent combo. I didn't foresee this working out that well. I'm happy to say I was very wrong; Tasty and well balanced without being too spicy. The chimichurri slaw was delish, and I'm not usually a fan of mayo, but it worked in this case. ~ BEEF SHORT RIB TACO - 4.5/5 An other combo I wasn't too sure off ; wood oven braised beef, tomatillo chipotle salsa, queso fresco, cilantro lime onion slaw. Deliciousness! Good amount of meat in the Taco as well. I'm a fan. I like this place!"
"Came here to celebrate a special occasion. Love the warm & inviting vibes of the restaurant. Our server was super attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The food however, was the main attraction. We ordered from their daily special menu. Everything was at the peak of freshness (e.g. heirloom tomatoes) and well prepared. I really appreciated the chef's innovative pairings in the surf & turf (lamb chops & diver scallops). The chef did a phenomenal job with the grilled mahi as well. It was done to perfection and served on a bed of curried puréed parsnips. Outstanding! If you're in Carrboro, I highly recommend checking Acme out for some excellent food!"
"The number one thing to know about Stanbury is they do not take reservation. And it's super popular. So timing is everything if you don't want to wait for a table. If you don't mind an early dinner, show up fifteen minutes before they open, get your name on the list and they will seat accordingly as soon as they open. Secondly, do know it won't be an inexpensive evening. You are paying for quality and perfection in execution.Four of us had a recent enjoyable Saturday dinner. The menu changes frequently. You won't find their menu on their website, but they will sometimes post one on Facebook. Off the current menu we shared off the small bites: Fried Oysters, Scallop Yakitori and Grilled NY Bigeye Tuna. All four of us agreed that the Tuna was the best. The Scallop, while good, was really expensive for what was probably two scallops cut up. So half a scallop per person. For the mains, we shared two of the pork chop dishes and one Tagliatelle. Having had pork here before, we knew they do especially well with it and they did again. The pasta was very tasty as well. For dessert we tried all three: a blueberry cheesecake mousse, peach cake and dark chocolate bread pudding. The blueberry one was the surprise favorite. Cake was a light blah, while bread pudding was the least fave.Service good. Two of us got a little water dropped on us when refilling water glasses, but hey they kept them filled to go along with the alcohol we consumed. As for ambiance, it's on the dark side, with medium to high noise level."
"This place quickly became one of the best restaurants I've ever been too! We came to visit on a quick weekend away and happened to stumble upon this gem. Okay, so check out the menu, and note how they have some "old time favorites" and made them their own. Super unique, super funky but really worth it. Dont be scccurrrd The ambiance kind of steals the show. The photos inside are celebrities but they've edited them to all be tatted up. They got good ole Stevie nicks in the front, as she deserves. The inside is romantic and moody with low lights and lots of candles. I loved this. Anyone that struggles with reading in the dark should definitely be prepared to use their reading glasses & iPhone flash. Service was quality. The host had nothing but incredible recommendations and modifications to the menu. We were super happy. HOWEVER the wine pours are shorter pours than normal and more expensive The oysters were one thing we passed on just because they're a bit pricey, however, we are also from San Diego."
"Hubs found this spot for us to try so we stopped by for lunch and LOVED it! Mandolin is taking names on Yelp, and the reviews don't lie. Mandolin's shrimp and grits, and their corn crab bisque is quite tasty! (The sweet tea gets an honorable mention as well because it was perfectly brewed and sweetened.) The service was fast and friendly and the chef stopping by to greet each table was a nice touch. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Cheers!"
"Tucked away on West Hargett Street in the heart of Raleigh, Death and Taxes not only serves a name that catches your attention but dishes that will capture your heart. Celebrating a special birthday over the weekend, my wife and I were treated to an exquisite culinary experience. I savored the confit of pork shoulder, perfectly paired with grilled delicata squash and a tangy pomegranate-juniper jus, while the side of grilled NC asparagus with whipped hollandaise and crispy prosciutto danced on the palate. My wife was equally enamored with her dish of scallops, beautifully complemented by smoked cannellini beans, charred tomatoes, and leeks. What truly elevates the dining experience at Death and Taxes is their mastery of wood-fired cooking. Each dish benefits from the smoky kiss of the grill, adding a layer of flavor that's both rustic and refined. However, no review of Death and Taxes would be complete without a standing ovation for Paige, our server. Her vibrant energy, deep knowledge, and genuine interest in our experience made our evening not just a meal, but a memorable celebration. For anyone seeking a top-tier dining experience in Raleigh, make your way to Death and Taxes. It's more than a meal; it's an event worth every penny."
"I don't know how I've lived in the area so long and this Summer was my first trip to Glenwood Grill. Tucked away in the back of the Harris Teeter plaza parking was easy for lunch. Everyone from the server to the hostess were very friendly. I went with the salmon salad and it was spot on. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad itself was super flavorful. I went in on my birthday and they also gave a free birthday dessert. They even let me pick it! So few places give anything complimentary, let alone let you select it. I thought this was the nicest touch and just awesome customer service. I look forward to dining here again for lunch or dinner!"
"I had a feeling when I arrived during Sunday brunch it would be busy. My feeling was spot on. I actually didn't have a hard time finding a parking space. As you walk in the front door, pay attention to the left. There is a small hostess station. A sign will tell you whether you should seat yourself or wait to be seated. Once you are either given a table or find a table, grab a menu and order at the counter. They have seating inside and out. I imagine if you come during a time where you seat yourself, you will need to find a way to claim your table somehow while you order your food. Luckily we were seated. They provide silverware and napkins at the counter after you order. I ordered the Rise and Shine breakfast. It came with eggs. I chose pork sausage, grits and a biscuit. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The sausage was delicious. The grits were the highlight of the meal. The biscuit was not as fluffy as I expected it to be. My daughter said her French toast was amazing. I know it was good, because she came home and told the rest of our family about it. The French toast was very thick, topped with fresh strawberries and the maple syrup enhanced the taste. They had to-go soups and desserts ready behind the counter. What a lovely place. Simple and good. This is my second time going and I will definitely visit again."

10/13/23: My boyfriend raved about this place for the longest time. He was dying to bring me & swore up and down that I'd love it. I think that review was a bit overrated. Though I love chicken & like waffles, this place was underwhelming. We were seated quickly. The place had a decent amount of customers eating and waiting on food.I took my time reviewing the menu. I thought they'd have more for me to choose from, but they didn't. They had all kinds of smears to go on the waffle but I just ended up ordering a waffle, wings, and regular butter with fruit on the side. My boyfriend got a waffle and chicken cutlet. The food came out WARM. The waffle & chicken wings were soggy. I ate what I could and then asked for a to go box. The waitress was doing a lot, so she was slow to check back on us, to bring the box, and to bring the check. When she finally brought the check, she ended up venting about other customers she had earlier who weren't the nicest. We get it but keep that to yourself. For the price of that food, we could've went to Chick-fil-A, saved money, & I would've been happier. The food just wasn't fresh & I don't like soggy food. Luckily my boyfriend is greedy and ended up eating my leftovers later that night. So, it didn't go to waste. They need more staff. Maybe the hostess can get off of her cellphone and pitch in from time to time. Every time I looked up at her, she was on her phone. I don't plan to go back.

Legit one of my favorite places in town. Consistently delicious with unique cocktails and excellent service. Definitely a bar/restaurant environment but in an older building that's been renovated.

We went to Gravy as a group of 4 on a Wednesday night. We had the risotto balls and bruschetta as an appetizer. Both were very good. I had the lemon chicken as an entree and it was only okay. The staff was very friendly.

Parking was a bit challenging on a Saturday at lunch. Otherwise, smooth sailing. The wait for outside seating was minimal. The food. The white pizza with sprinkles of bacon was amazing! Brick fired pizza with a sourdough crust, perfection! Nice area to relax with a cold beverage and enjoy the great food options. Next time I want to sit inside, the dim lighting would make for a great dinner date.

We have visited twice, and enjoyed both dinners. The specific menu checks all the boxes and has some of my favorite dishes. And the flavors are on the mark. My biggest gripe is the space in the dining room, I feel like the tables are just a bit too close together and our party felt a little too "on-top" of groups near us. Our servers have been quite prompt on both visits, very efficient and knowledgeable of their menu. Certainly enough things going right here to give them a shot!

Would absolutely come back. A few of us from out of town visited this restaurant and enjoyed every bit of it! Very unique vibe, doesn't take reservations and unique menu. Since there were several of us, we ordered from most of the menu to let us try a bit of everything. Truly an amazing dinner!Dishes we tried: + PARISA... beef tartare, jalapeno, cheddar, scallion, ranched saltines+ DELICATA SQUASH .. apple, pickled onion, goat cheese, salsa macha, pepitas, cilantro, lime 13+ CRISPY SWEET POTATO ... pomegranate, maple tahini, hazelnut dukkah, mint salad 13+ CAVATELLI ... lamb neck ragu, san Marzano, ricotta, mint, bread crumb 17+ CRISPY PIG HEAD ... Beluga lentils, bacon, poached eng, mustard cream, arugula 16+ ROASTED MARROW ... parsley, shallot, caper, Boulted toast, Maldon 21+ CHEESE: Boxcarr Rocket's Robiola+ GRILLED RIBEYE+ PARSNIP CAKEThe crispy sweet potato dish was so good we ended up ordering another one. I could eat this every day. Everything was so good, but our least favorite dish was the Crispy Pig head - it was a bit lack luster. The grilled ribeye was nothing to write home about. The potatoes were deliciously crispy and flavorful. I wish I took photos of the food but it was a bit dim and we were all enjoying great food and company. The menu changes often, so if I lived in the area I would come here often.

I had not visited St. Roch in quite some time, so I was excited to go with a friend who is moving away. The convenience of making reservations at St. Rock made it easy to secure a table. Upon my arrival, the host warmly greeted me and promptly seated me.Our server, whose name escapes me, welcomed us and promptly brought water for both my friend and me. She was well-versed in the menu and had a friendly demeanor. Interestingly, she was from the North, where my friend is relocating, creating a nice connection.I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was 1/2 off Oysters, which delighted me as that was exactly what I had come for, while my friend was intrigued by a particular item on the menu. We decided on the following dishes:1. "Of Greetings & Goodbyes" Cocktail - a delightful blend of gin, coconut, violette, elderflower, and lime priced at $16.2. OYSTERS - West Coast Oysters at 50% off on Wednesdays (dine-in only) for $2.25 per Oyster.3. Mafaldine & Crab - a dish featuring NC blue crab, shrimp, mafaldine, tasso pork belly, Calabrian chili, and pecorino romano for $33.The "Of Greetings & Goodbyes" Cocktail was a perfect choice for our farewell dinner. It's worth noting that St. Roch has limited natural light, so taking photos of your food or with friends may require the use of flash or opting to sit by the window (my personal favorite). Despite this, the overall experience was great, and I will certainly return for the delicious pasta my friend ordered.

"It has been a minute since I have visited The Federal. On this most recent visit we dined in before a show. It was a beer and the fish & chips for me and the fish tacos with sweet potato fries for my husband. It is small both inside and out but it is a good dining option in Durham."
"Had a great meal at Tandem! My friend and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner here on a Sunday night. I made a reservation for 6:30pm for 2, but I don't think it was needed since the restaurant had little people when we got there. The interior inside is very industrial, with lots of wooden features (like the floor, chairs, tabletops) and string lights hanging from the ceiling. The walls were brick, and it had great big industrial windows which provided great natural lighting. The service was fine, but nothing over the top.I ordered the 72 hour short rib, and my friend got the salmon. It was delicious. It came in a Le Creuset pot with mashed potatoes and assorted veggies on the side. Stunning presentation, and might I say, those pots are expensive, and they have multiple of them. But I guess it was worth the investment because it looked really nice. The beef was super juicy and tender. High quality melt-in-your-mouth beef. And they don't shy away from the portion. It looked like a fat square block. But it was genuinely glistening in the light. The mashed potatoes were just alright for me. They had a strong flavor that I can't pinpoint - maybe too much cheese? They also put mint on the mashed potatoes and beef, which was quite a surprise, but I don't think I prefer it. The veggies were a nice touch with the beef. Overall, great experience and amazing food. I definitely would come back for another nice dinner!"
"We came here after finding out the Durham Food Hall was closed on Mondays. So glad we decided to come here. Today's special with raviolis and jalapeño and cheddar hush puppies were great. I've been here for brunch and wasn't super impressed. We may have to give it another try."
"Popped in here because we were in Durham for a quick girls weekend. My friend found this little gem, tucked away in a complex that was surrounded by some office suites and bordering a residential complex.Super chill, with outdoor seating. We had come at a weird time (it was empty), but were greeted at the hostess stand and chose a high top near the bar.John introduced himself and gave us a little intro on the beverage list, the food menu, and told us to take our time. I ordered a Dirty Martini (not too dirty) and my friend ordered an Aperol Spritz. For an app, we chose the brussel sprouts and for entrees we chose the Greek salad with grilled chicken and mussels in white wine sauce with chorizo. Everything was seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. As our meal went on, people started filling up tables outside and inside. While chatting with John, we found out the establishment was here for 10 years. If you're in the Raleigh/Durham location, stop in. You won't be disappointed!"
"Came here for a friend's birthday dinner after hearing many great things over the years. Thankfully, it lived up to the hype. When you walk in, the ambiance feels pretty high-end and luxe. The perfect place for a celebration. There were about 15 of us seated at one huge table that they had reserved. Despite the part, the server was terrific, made thoughtful suggestions and did an excellent job keeping up with everyone's order. I ordered the salmon, which was delicious. Perfectly cooked, well seasoned, great plating and accompaniments. It was a wonderful experience. I look forward to trying it again in the future."
"The Big Easy is a popular full Bar & restaurant on Fayetteville St that offers a very lively atmosphere featuring a DJ on weekends, 2 levels of seating and New Orleans style Cajun menu. I visited and ordered from their late night menu after 11:30 p.m. Staff was friendly and kind as we were seated immediately. We were seated near the bar and DJ DVS was spinning throwback Hip Hop & R&B. He is excellent. He didn't play a bad song.I decided on the catfish platter from their late night menu with a side house salad. I paired it with a old fashioned bourbon cocktail. My friend ordered jerk wings and fried pimento cheese balls. They were delicious. Our waitress worked hard at bussing and serving tables. She was overwhelmed with work due to the lack of staff. Despite this, our food arrived quickly given the time of night. My catfish was the perfect amount of filet and nice and crispy. This is definitely a convenient stop for a Cajun style brunch or for some weekend fun while downtown. They offer all the vibes with DJ DVS and karaoke some nights."
"Our Easter Brunch at Tazza Kitchen in Stone Creek Village was an experience to remember, marked by the exceptional service provided by Elise. From the moment we arrived until the end of our meal, Elise was the epitome of professionalism and warmth. Her attention to detail, quick service, and friendly demeanor made our family brunch not just a meal, but a memorable occasion. We indulged in a variety of dishes that were a feast for the senses. The Huevos Rancheros were a perfect blend of flavors and textures, combining fried corn tortillas with black beans, fried eggs, tomatillo salsa, chorizo, queso fresco, sour cream, avocado, and pico de gallo in a symphony of taste. The Egg Scramble Bowl, with its mix of home fries, provolone, scallions, peppers, bacon, and salsa verde, was a hearty and satisfying choice. The classic Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a buttered bun, accompanied by home fries, was comfort food at its finest. And the Cinnamon Bun, with its homemade brioche and vanilla sugar glaze, was a sweet end to a perfect meal.Every dish was prepared to perfection, with each ingredient shining through, making it evident that Tazza Kitchen prioritizes quality and flavor. The food and drinks were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, with nothing left out of place. This Easter Brunch was a testament to Tazza Kitchen's commitment to excellence in both food and service. Already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to Elise and the entire team at Tazza Kitchen for making our family gathering a great one."
"Made a reservation and came on a Friday night. It was very busy, enough to where it is difficult to have a conversation with someone across from you. It is very intimate, so be aware. The food is pretty delicious - bone marrow on toast, the croquettes, and the fish big plate. Grits in a block form? Different, but still good! 7/10 - it's a bit TOO intimate"
"Had an excellent lunch, especially as what I ordered did not sound that exciting. I got there early and decided to get the calamari. I had just assumed it was fried calamari, realized it wasn't after I ordered it and was resigned to getting a dish I would just work through, as I am not a huge calamari fan normally outside of fried. Turns out it was fantastic. The calamari was not at all chewy, usually my big complaint, and the tomato/red pepper sauce was incredible. I easily ate all the pieces and was dying to lick the plate it was so good. I decided to go healthy with the main and went with the Cobb salad, also excellent. All of the ingredients were fresh and the Green Goddess dressing excellent, did not overpower the salad but also made it flavorful and interesting. The menu is not huge but what I had was done perfectly."
"After attending a local event at the Cary Theater my friend suggested we grab a late bite at Crosstown. They have a nice spacious patio area for dining so we decided to try eating outdoors. Service was prompt upon arrival. Our waiter suggested the birria tacos. He shared that the pub prides itself on " authentic flavorful tacos". My friend had grilled wings, pimento cheese balls and a salad. I had the fried green tomatoes, birria tacos by recommendation and a whiskey sour. Service was very slow outside. Our waiter had our food served to us but never came back to check on us until it was time to check out. I understand it's late night and staffing is limited. The food was very good with the exception of the fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were under ripe and too hard to serve for this recipe. The pimento cheese balls were excellent. Two of my favorite North Carolina southern classics. The convenience of late night hours until 2am, and location is unmatched for this area and the food was good. I would definitely return."
"This was one of those wow meals, from start to finish. They change their menu often to match what is in season and to utilize as much local as possible. We were drawn in by their current menu. Made reservations and had a delightful Saturday night experience. They have a nice variety of seating options. Tables, Booths, a good size bar. There's a patio room that's enclosed. All very nice. We were quite comfortable in our booth in the main dining room.Service was top-notch from the moment we were greeted with a smile, to our excellent Server and the friendly food runners. Drinks excellent. I enjoyed a nice pinot grigio with my meal, followed later by the world's most perfect dessert drink...a lemon pie martini. Yep. You heard that right. The stuff dreams are made of. Husband had a couple dirty martinis he was quite fond of.Food. YUM. We shared a steamed clam appetizer with an excellent spring onion cream-white wine sauce after they started us with a nice light foccacia with a very good olive oil. The only thing missing with the clams was grilled bread. It was crying out for it. Would have totally taken it over the top. Yes the foccacia was dippable but it didn't work as well as grilled sourdough would have matched with that dish.Entrees: Scallops with a beurre blanc sauce, veggie noodles and a tomato vinaigrette. The scallops could not have been seared and cooked better. They were scallop perfection. But I will say that the plating in a bowl rather than a plate watered down the beurre blanc to the point it might as well have not been there. The tomato on top with a tangy vinaigrette offered a nice acidity to the dish. Husband got the Pork Schnitzel with a pesto pasta and arugula. Very rich and he loved it. Both portions were generous enough that we both have leftovers. Especially love how well everything is seasoned and the usage of fresh herbs.Highly recommend!"
"NOFO @ the Pig is in Raleigh's Five Points area. The restaurant and gift shop was part of what was a Piggly Wiggly grocery store in the 1950s to 1990s. The rest of the grocery store was where Lily's Pizza and Third Place Coffee shop are now. I loved how so many artifacts were on display in the restaurant and gift shop. NOFO has a small parking lot for its customers. Make sure to enter from Fairview as it is one way. The restaurant is on the first level and the gift shop is on the second although it has some seats for dining. You enter the restaurant from the Glenwood side. The Gift Shop entrance is from the Fairview side. The restaurant just has a few tables and they were spread out well. We were seated at a round table so that made conversations easier between everyone and the smaller side made it quieter inside. There are outside tables available as well.I ordered the orange and candy pecan salad and it was made without onions for me. I did add shrimp and was happy with the portion. I loved the salad as it all went together well.I went with the apple pie for dessert. I think it got microwaved as the pie was super hot in spots. Other than that the pie was great with actual apples and not a sugary apple filing.NOFO will be in the regular rotation."
"Good menu options and great service! We had my friend's surprise birthday dinner here and one of their private spaces. My friend's husband made the arrangements, but I arrived early to help decorate the space. The staff and manager were extremely helpful and friendly. They helped me bring in the decor and get everything set up. The location is nice and has a great vibe for an intimate dinner or a group dinner. The parking lot has plenty of parking in their private lot. The menu options are great! I ordered the Grain Salad with a Crab Cake and it was DELICIOUS!!! I wouldn't not have even imagined that putting all of the different flavors together would end up complimenting each other so well. I am allergic to pecans and there wasn't a single one on there once I asked for them to be withheld from the dish. Everyone in the group truly enjoyed their meal. I tasted some of the Brussels Sprouts that my other friend ordered and it was good. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area."
"Great food here! I enjoyed my pulled pork entree. All was delicious and they were great with accommodating a large group."
"Pretty average experience. The service was quite good, but the food was so so. I ordered the fish sandwich (as I was looking for something on the lighter side), and it arrived in an unusual way. It appears they cooked some fish fingers and laid them on a bun instead of a full piece of fish. Not what I was expecting. And, consequently, this approach ended up giving you a lot more breading making it a heavier meal. And, the taste was not that great. On the flip side, their desserts are pretty interesting. They make these cakes in large rectangular block with multiple layers of cake, filling, and frosting where each slice ends up being a 6 inch by 6 inch piece (with one inch thickness). I selected the coconut cream and it was very good. So, maybe next time, we skip the meal and go straight for the dessert?"
"Food and service was pretty good! We ordered a hazy ipa and a blood orange ipa both were good. We ordered the chicken flatbread and Buffalo cauliflower appetizers. Both were delicious. Added bonus we got to bring the pup with us as well! A lot of selections to choose from and I was even able to order an aperol spritz which was perfect and refreshing!"
"Decided to check out Glasshalfull after hearing about it on social media. It is a cool and chill spot sporting tons of tables, a wrap around bar, and a massive wine selection. I checked out their menu ahead of time and decided to go for their mini burgers that had bacon and truffle aoili. It was just the right amount of food! I ate just one, but I will be devouring the other in like an hour as I am a grazer! To drink I got a bottle of their cremant rose. Nice hint of strawberries, peaches, and rose. It was very yummy and actually paired really well the burgers. Normally I do not get a bottle of wine just for me at a restaurant, but they were half off today and I decided to go for it! Such a great recommendation by the waitress. I love that they are able to recork the bottle, so you can take it home. Therefore there is no pressure to finish it! Around it are several other local businesses to check out. Carrboro's downtown very much reminds me of Pittsboro as it is very quaint and cute.Definitely would come back as it is very chill and has such great vibes!"
"The Mac House is a hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center in North Raleigh. It is family owned with great customer service and they remember me and what I typically order. I tend to order the same things but do change it up once in a while. As every month, there are special mac n cheese; grilled cheese; salad; soup and cheesecake. The restaurant is casual so you can relax. They have indoor and outdoor seating or you can do carry out. You order at the counter and your meal will be brought to your table. The Mac House isn't your typical grilled cheese or mac n cheese as many variations are offered from pizza to cheeseburger to bacon & truffle to jerk chicken to spinach and artichoke mac n cheese. For grilled cheeses you can get buffalo chicken to pimento with bacon and fried green tomatoes to bbq to caprese pesto. I tend to get the Mac House grilled cheese with garlic seasoned bread or the mac n cheese grilled cheese and it is just like it sounds with mac n cheese inside the grilled cheese. Both are so good. With the mac n cheese I like the seafood one with shrimp. As much as I love the grilled cheese sandwiches and mac n cheese. The salads are my favorite as they are so fresh. So I like that the grilled cheese sandwiches come with a side so I can get the salad with it. Then the mac n cheese grilled cheese gives me the mac n cheese too so I can have it all in one meal.Don't forget to try the cookies when you stop by for some yummy food."
"I ate here on a Monday morning for breakfast. - There was no wait when I walked in. - This place is super cheap. My croissant sandwich with a drink and hash browns was $8! - My breakfast was excellent."
"The hot dogs are amazing Hey make your order when you place it. Staff is super friendly. I like the atmosphere of this place it's epic eclectic and pretty rad. Been here before and I'll come back and eat here again next time Im in chapel hill for work at UNC."
"So glad Cafe Meridian is back!! They're in a new location just up the street from their old one. They're sandwiched in between Big Lots and Autozone in the shopping strip on Hwy 55 just off Hwy 54. Some tables outside and lots of seating inside. We called in our order and since we live just about around the corner is was ready in no time. Grilled salmon with two sides and bourbon chicken with two sides. It was absolutely delicious!!They still have their huge sandwich and salad menu & daily specials. I encourage you to show them some love with your business!! Note, they're only open M-F from 11A-2P."
"Tired this place with my wife for Sunday lunch. Holy crap! My wife had the Huaraches with chicken and I had the fish tacos. The huaraches were INCREDIBLE. Will be back just because of that dish. Service was very good - waitress was attentive and manager came over to ask how we were and seemed genuinely interested. The ambiance is basic strip mall ish restaurant. It's very comfortable with tables appropriately spaced apart. I think this is a good casual date place or good for the family even with small kids. Absolutely will be back."
"Great food, service was fast and friendly and respectful. We will be back for sure! The location is nice because it is overly crowded or too busy."
