"We ordered the white pizza, caprese sliders, and garlic knots. The sliders were delicious, with a big slice of mozz on each one :) the knots were also good! The pizza. Oh, the pizza. My husband and I are white pizza fanatics. This was amazing. The dollops of ricotta couldn't be any sexier! It isn't my favorite in Raleigh, but it DEFINITELY beats other pizza places. I thought the spinach on it was a nice, unique touch. I will say these slices were huge though (worth every penny!!!). Service was fairly quick and staff were nice."
"Really great spot to visit on a Saturday morning for coffee and a bagel. I saw a lot of people going in and out of this shop and thought since I have been over here in the past that I had to try it. I walked in and told the lady working behind the counter to get me whatever their best seller was. And let me tell you it was delicious. Not sure how healthy it was but it sure was good. She recommended the bread instead of the bagel. If I stop by in the morning next time I will definitely check out getting a bagel. It was funny when you walked in it looked like NYPD but instead it was NYBD. It was funny the workers shirts made it look like they were cops. The owner was also very nice as well. While I was sitting down eating there were so many people coming in and out most got their order to go. There is seating in the restaurant. This is definitely a popular local spot for this area."
"Oh gosh, as a native Jersey guy, I want to love this place but I can't do it. I had a full roast beef and turkey combo sandwich. The portion was quite big, about 3/4 pound of meat, just as it should be. The meat was pretty thick cut as well. But the roast beef disappointed me. I expected roast beef around medium rare, but it would up being served hot and cooked all the way through. Just not what I had in mind. Turkey was fine, poppy kaiser roll was nice and fresh.Megan was a really sweet server, a little shy, but I can tell she cares that the customers are happy. Ron, the owner, interacted with some of the regular customers at the bar, which is a sign of a good owner. The staff is why I'll go to the 4th star.I like that you can grab a bag of Deep River chips and a cold Dr Browns soda right off the shelf. Also, they have a nice bar with a reasonably good selection of drafts. I'm sure I'll come back and try the pastrami or corned beef, but the roast beef will be a pass."
"Excellent authentic deli. From the meats to the sides, this place packs a punch.A few things to know:1. It is near UNC campus so the roadway is busy with limited parking.2. You order outside and no indoor seating. The staff is super nice and the food is incredibly satisfying!!! A+++ on the pastrami"
"We pulled up to grab a bite to eat, but were met outside with a long line of people waiting for the same thing. However I was blown away about how quick they put the order together! Everything is made fresh to order. Such a great sandwich!"
"Gotham's Deli is a New York deli located in North Carolina. The deli seemed to have many regulars as they were recognized and the usual orders remembered. The walls are decorated in New York memorabilia; New York sports memorabilia; as well as down Smithfield memorabilia. I enjoyed looking at the Mets items. The deli has New York inspired themed menu items and there are a lot of options to choose from. I went with a half of Mr. Met which was roast beef, turkey, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato and mayo. You can dine inside, outside or order to go."
"I decided to try this place out since our church has used them multiple times to do box lunches for some of our meetings. I got the fish sandwich and slaw. It was pretty good. I'd like to try some other things on their menu."
"Service was friendly and efficient. Foodwise, this visit was not as tasty as my last visits. While decent, the Chicken Philly was bland today. I asked for onions and peppers, but the peppers were invisible. They now sell assorted hot sauces and spices in house."
"As a new resident of Raleigh, I wanted to try this spot for lunch. It isn't far from where I'll be working and I was quite surprised how crowded it was on a weekday. So I figured it was worth a try.The cashier was very friendly and helped me figure out my order. I went with the turkey sandwich with the Vidalia onion dressing and pasta salad for my side. The food took maybe 10 minutes to prepare, which wasn't bad considering there was hardly a table to be found. Pretty good sandwich, nice quality ingredients, but certainly not the biggest I've ever had. The pasta salad was vegetarian, it had a tangy vinaigrette, it was solid. It was fine, but not what I would call special."
"At first when we passed Village Deli and Grill it looked like a place that would have sit down table service however when we got there we then learned it's a bit more casual, you order at the counter, they give you a buzzer and then you come pick up your food when it's ready. They have indoor & outdoor seating which is nice and a large menu which is also amazing. My husband isn't a "sandwich/deli" guy so I'm glad they have other things that he can eat as well! All of the food was good but let's get to the desserts.... To die for... honestly I am going to have to go get another slice of that lemon blueberry cake this week. They said that all of the desserts are made in house which is always great! For sure will be back to try more of the menu!"

Easily in the top 5 of pizza places of the Triangle for me. Super consistent pie that reminds me a bit of pizza I ate at roller skating rinks in the 90s (that's a good thing)! No fancy coal fired anything, just solid plain pie with quality ingredients. I also love that their boxes break in half to take a small amount home. Our favorite way to enjoy is to call ahead and take it out to the beer joint a few shops down and eat outside while we people watch!

Fuhgeddaboudit. You really do feel like you're in Manhasset as soon as you walk into the NY bagel place. LOTSA hustle/bustle, attitude, and enough staff where you better have your order ready as you approach the counter. The staff even LOOKS like they're from NY. Yes, the bagel has a nice outside crunch, chewy (just right) inside, and great flavor. We went with our go-to cinnamon raisin, bacon, egg, cheese, and a plain schmear. At this price point ($8), you can't beat this bagel and/or bagel sandwich.

Super friendly place! All the staff looked out for us and were just as nice as they could be.They were doing quite the business for a Sunday lunch time. Small restaurant with a bar. We were able to find parking on the side, cause the front and back were totally full. We started by ordering the Upper West Side Egg Rolls with Pastrami, Cole Slaw and Honey Sriracha which were fantastic! The Lower Side ones sound great too, will have to do those next time.I ordered their special which was stuffed cabbage, and sadly they were out of it. Went with a turkey reuben while Husband had the open faced brisket sandwich with fries. For a slight upcharge I got the cucumber salad instead of fries. Do know that the "petite" sandwich is far from petite. Thickly sliced turkey, melted cheese, small amount of sauerkraut and a very small amount of Thousand Island. I asked for more and my granted wish really added to the sandwich which was otherwise a little dry and could use the extra taste to it. Husband's brisket was nice and lean but he did need to add salt to it (which he almost never does). Fries were a real highlight. Husband was at first taken a bit aback by the gravy being cold, but he said when mixed with the hot meat it worked.Even though my sandwich was "petite", I brought home half of it and a lot of cucumber salad. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity. If you're wondering where in Cary this is, it's in the Crossroads area.

Hubby and I along with his brother and our sister in law were craving good sandwiches. We decided to give Neal's Deli a try and I'm so glad we did!Ordering was super easy using a QR code outside. Our order came out within minutes. We grabbed a picnic table and enjoyed our delicious sandwiches. Hubby and I both ordered the Italian Sub. He chose the sweet & spicy peppers and I went with banana peppers. I really enjoyed my sandwich. The bread was amazing! Crusty on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The banana peppers were a wonderful addition. The oil & vinegar along with the mayo added so much flavor. The lettuce was very fresh. Excellent meat and cheese to bread ratio.I was pleasantly surprised by how a simple sandwich could be so delicious!

Happened to see NY Bagel passing by on the way to an appointment. Most of my appointments have been in the evening, but had an early appointment today. Got 6 bagels, garlic herb cream cheese and a cheese Danish. The bagels are very fresh and the cream cheese delicious. The Danish was lovely and I loved the crunchy topping they add. I would be interested in what they have for lunch. They have Boar's Head products, which I love. They have inside seating and outside seating for a nice day. They were fairly busy, which is a good sign as well. You should visit them.

Gotham's, formerly Gandolfo's, is just plain AWESOME. I've been eating here since 2005, and have never had an experience that was less than luscious. I use them often for catering my parties, including my wedding in 2006. The store's New York-themed decor is fun and their large menu offers a variety of hot and cold sandwiches to please the pickiest palate. My favorite is the Soho Chicken Salad and my husband's is the Reuben, although we've sampled at least a third of the menu through the years. Their cheesecake is sinfully good, and they make potato salad that's superior to Grandma's finest. You can get either a half or whole sandwich, and I recommend their budget-friendly combo, which includes a drink and a bag of chips.Gotham's caters at very reasonable prices. You can get box lunches for your business meeting and wonderful party trays of small subs, fruit and veggies. I ordered several fruit and veggie trays for my wedding and my guests were delighted at their great variety and fresh, cold, crispy treats. The sub sandwich trays are a seasonal fave at my annual Christmas Tree Trimming Party. The staff is friendly and greets everybody with a big smile no matter how busy the store is. Food Service can be high-stress and just plain crappy to work at, but I really appreciate staff who don't take it out on their customers. If you want a fast, quick meal that doesn't taste like fast food from a quick-serve deli, head for Gotham's. I have only one complaint: I wish they were open 7 days a week!

Dare I say this was the best fish burger I've eaten??! The crispiness and flakiness of the fish was perfect - and not too oily either, making it a fresh but filling option for a weekday lunch. Food comes quick and hot, and it's bang for buck at 10$ with a side (their other sandwiches are even less!). The couscous is a creative side which I appreciate. Portions are not skimped on and the brioche bun is yum. Next time I go I will try the chipotle clam chowder which is on their seasonal menu!

Definitely a place to stop for a sandwich in Clayton. A bit of a drive from Raleigh, but it's worth a trip. Friendly, locals seem to really like it which is always a good sign. Got a half Philly Cheesesteak, with provolone. The roll was excellent, the sandwich very good. A small five-star Deli for North Carolina.

"If grandma made sandwiches every day for my neighbors ...With plenty of seating, inside and out, you are sure to find a comfy seat to enjoy downtown Cary for lunch. The deli has a menu full of hot and cold sandwich options, friendly quick service, daily specials and a local spot since 1975! Great location and easy parking. Highly recommend shop local!"
"Visiting my mother for the weekend, she couldn't decide where she wanted to eat. When I mentioned that a friend said there was a good deli in town, she immediately said "oh, Martinhos! I forgot about that one! We haven't been in a long time but they have good food". She was right. She had a cheeseburger her way, with lettuce, tomato, Mayo and onion. Looked pretty good and she said it was. I had a veggie sub that had cheese, Mayo, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, and I can't remember what else, and added added the veggie patty mentioned on their other veggie sub. Not sure what brand it was but the patty had good flavor. Since no sides were included we shared the house chips that came with ranch. They were okay, needed more crisp for my taste. Next time, I want to try either their pizza or a pasta dish. Lots to choose from."
"Excellent place for lunch, especially if you are craving a high quality sandwich. It does get busy, particularly around lunch time. Nonetheless, the employees are efficient so the wait time is reasonable. Order at the counter and then your meal is brought to you. I ordered the tempeh panini and it was perfect! It was cooked and flavored well, very filling, and reasonably priced. Pros:- great customer service- quick accurate orders- reasonable prices- large portion sizes-indoor and outdoor seating available-ample menu options that satisfy various preferences and dietary restrictionsCons:- parking and seating areas are tightOverall we enjoyed our meal and would dine here again!"
"Stumbled upon Steve's place as I was waiting for Hobby Lobby to open and I am so glad I did! I was craving a breakfast sandwich but still being new to the area I wasn't sure what was around that may fit the bill. It looks like they are primarily known for their hotdogs but their breakfast sandwich was quite delicious. When you walk in you go to the left and fill out the slip for what you want to order, being the slip up to the register and then they will cook it right up for you! I haven't seen too often the option to add a hashbrown to a BEC but it was a solid choice! Now that I know they have good food I can't wait to try the hotdogs that they are known for!"
"As close as you're gonna get to an actual NY bagel in NC. Freshly made in-joise every day, these are water bagels. A dozen varieties are available. They're exactly as you want a bagel... Crispy on the outside, airy and moist inside. Pro tip - slice them and freeze them same day of purchase, toast to serve. Pro tip 2 - if you don't freeze them store on counter in paper bag. They'll be a little hard but when you toast, they spring back to life. Don't store in plastic on the counter, they get soggy."
"I found the pizza delicious and the service was fine. I thins location (attached to a gas station) usually gets takeout service so it was not the ambiance that we had expected for a date night."
"This is a great place if you're buying lunch for a meeting. Make sure to call ahead of time to place your order. My favorite from here is the "chicken salad sandwich". It's one of the best I've had in the area! I would highly recommend it!"
"I can only speak for the location in Clayton- everything I've ordered has been hot, made to order, fresh and delicious!!! I've had pizza, wings and Philly cheesesteak sub from here and it's soo good!! I've always gotten it to go but the staff is always nice. My orders haven't been incorrect and the quality of the food is consistent."
"Stopped here for a quick lunch yesterday and initially had some trouble finding it because it shares a building with a gas station but the place is clean and surprisingly spacious. Only two employees but both were very nice and worked hard to make sure food went out fast. We orderedHalf of a Club Sub- fresh, tasty, really big!10" cheese pizza- yummy, BF said it tastes like Domino's but without the flavored crustSide salad- pretty basic, nothing specialPrice is ~$7.50 for a 10" pizza and a drink OR a half-sub and a drink which is a really great price considering the amount and the taste of the food. They also have stromboli, calzones, hot subs, and pasta. This is not a place I would go out of my way to revisit but I would definitely stop here for a quick lunch if I'm ever back in the neighborhood. It's nothing extraordinary but it's still head-and-shoulders above a greasy fast food restaurant!"
"Best subs in town! Not only is the bread and meat is always fresh, the staff great! Each time I've come here, owners were pleasant, areas were clean and food is consistent. The desserts are delicious as well."
"Best sandwiches in Johnston County! Their menu offers choices to please anyone, with just about every kind of meat to tickle your tastebuds. I really like their beef and cheddar sandwich with barbecue sauce! Get 'em hot or cold, and in small or large sizes, and be sure to add a bag of delicious kettle chips. Service is fast and friendly. The store and its bathrooms are very clean and roomy. As the name suggests, you're also supporting your firefighters and first responders.Great for lunch or dinner, or takeout for a party."
"Chose this place over the chain sub restaurants around. Wasn't disappointed. 6" sub was pretty huge and full of meat and toppings. Staff was friendly. I did have a question and they weren't very helpful but she did say she was new. There is an up charge if you use a card which I didn't see posted anywhere until I was gave my receipt, again I could have overlooked the sign stating this I don't know. I would definitely go back for sure as the food was exactly what I wanted when I was craving a good sandwich"
"I wonder if the owner if this location realizes how poorly it performs compared to other locations? As written in my review four months ago, this place is dirty. The soda fountain dispenser tray must have been clogged as the entire counter was covered in cola. As I was leaving, I overheard a customer being told it would be 20 minutes until they had more white sub rolls. So at 5:30 Saturday evening they have no bread at a sub shop? Nuff said."
"Great fast fresh reliable sandwiches.. The favorites with double meat are my favs.Love the place."
"Good stuff at this brand new Jersey Mike's on Forestville Road. It's what you expect... Freshly sliced meat, dressed to order... With a dash of "juice". There's a full team working and they're well trained and eager to please. I was in and out in 10 minutes, even with a few others in line. It'll be interesting to see who wins the sub wars around here since Publix is at the other end of the Plaza... And we all know the reputation of the Pub Sub. Tough choice... And I like 'em both!"
