First time here. Our waitress was amazing on point and she was the only one on shift. She managed several tables and we were never in need of anything. Now on to the food. We got 5 lbs of crawfish and the size was the biggest we've seen all season so far and we go to several spots in Houston. Flavor was great. Beer was cold. Everything you would hope for in a crawfish spot. Would definitely recommend anyone who enjoys crawfish to stop here.

My visit was for lunch, the food was good and filling for a lunch we Split for 2 at Cost of $41.00. I think it should have been 2 full Meals but that's may just be me. The Chicken Pho was enough for 2 and the largest part of the meal. Also ordered 2 Piece Fried Cat Fish with 6 Shrimp small Portion, hold the Fries or Rice and 1 lb of Boiled Peel and eat Med Spicy Garlic Shrimp, Hold the Corn & Potato's. I would have Preferred Red Fish even at an extra charge but they only server Cat. I did notice they service Crawfish @ $7.99 lb if that works for you. No Beer or Wine yet but BYOBeer until they do. kid Menu yes. Hope this helps.

Ordered 2 orders of the 2 pcs fried catfish combo and 1 Cajun fried rice to go.Arrived at the restaurant to pick up the food..No one was at the restaurant dining in and no other to-go orders. PLEASE TELL ME WHY THEY MESSED UP MY ORDER?! (1) I ordered 2 orders of the 2 pcs fried catfish combo.. they gave us 3 pcs.. ok fine whatever. The 2nd order of the fried catfish?! IT WASNT'T FISH ! IT WAS 3 VERY THIN PIECES FRIED CHICKEN PATTIES!! Seriously??!! IF I WANTED CHICKEN I WOULDVE WENT TO POPEYES! (2) Cajun shrimp fried rice.. it was nothing Cajun about it.. literally egg fried rice with some microscopic shrimps. No flavors at all. NEVER AGAIN. Wasted my money on this place! BEWARE! TRY THIS PLACE WITH CAUTION.

Pier 61 is off the beaten path, but still visible. The place is generally clean but you can tell it could use a deep scrub. Given that their food has a big section of fried foods, the seating area can get grimy easily. My party got great and quick service. I ordered the catfish with oysters/shrimp basket and a side of boiled vegetables. The fried catfish was deliciously made, thin with flavorful crust. The portions of french fries and oysters were pretty decent and overall taste was good. It also came with coleslaw, which I didn't care much for. Pricing on my basket was between $11-$13 which is pretty typical for something like it. Pier 61 is best described as a family joint where you want non fancy fried seafood. Its not the best out there, however it does the job well enough. Pricing is decent and portion sizes are generous. I won't be in a rush to come back, however if I am ever in the area and need some fried goodness, Pier 61 would be a solid pick.

I asked for spicy crawfish and they were very very bland. On a good note, they were a good size and the special pricing was good. Too bad it didn't satisfy and I had to try somewhere else because of the lack of flavor.

Disclaimer: Dont not come here b/c of the outward appearance. You may only see a few tiny cars in the parking lot but do not be discouraged as the food is really good, and,if it was nasty trust i would tell you!!!Pier 61 never lets me down! Its never crowded here :). I don't think many people know about it, even though they have been around for years and years. I like it like this b/c i dont have to yell when i come here with da wife, and its always clean. My food is "ALWAYS" hot. Like every single time "HOT." This is another plus, because i am quick to give food back to a restaurant if comes out warm. You feel me lol!!! Also, the taste of the food is "CONSISTENT" like no matter when i come it tastes the same. You'd be surprised how many food places can not get this right!!As far as the food goes, i always get the 2 pc fried catfish which is seasoned really really good, with the 6 pc shrimp. The shrimp tastes really good as well. Catfish is not greasy like Pappadeaux is either.I always get the boudin balls. They are a large portion and very tasty. If you like tartar sauce theirs is good, and their cocktail sauce tastes very good too. SummaryVery tasty food. My plate is always hotCleanStaff is niceNot loudU should give them a try!!!

This place had some good food, but I don't think it will be a place I'll be rushing back to. We came here based on Yelp reviews. From the outside, this is not a place I would have stopped. Judging a book by its cover, it looks like one of those really questionable establishments that didn't try hard enough to customize their restaurant to match the customers it wants to attract. It's a small stucco building, completely covered in three different colors of blue and white paint (I guess to look like the ocean?)The inside ambiance and vibe is just as awkward. They were playing what sounded like mix 96.5 style music quietly and the (very few) patrons were extremely quiet. It doesn't feel comfy at all. As a seafood and oyster bar, maybe some jazz? Something to give the same cajun/Creole feel as the menu? The food though was good. I took pictures of all of entrees (party of 6). It wasn't memorable though. Good but nothing great. One thing I really recall is that he etoufee could easily be made better by using dirty rice instead of white. The white rice was way too bland to be in such a flavorful dish. It threw it all off. The sauce used on the fish opelousas could use a thicker base. It was like really seasoned butter- a little too bland. I expect cajun food to have a kick. I was told by my mom and daughter that the carrot cake was really good though! Also, the service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and got all of our orders right, even with a few modifications.

My wife and I have swung by here more than a few times after the owner invited us to come try them out. He'd really done an impressive revamp of the place-- it looks a lot nicer and cleaner than it did before. On our first visit, we tried the tempura appetizer and crawfish. Both were outstanding. The crawfish were decently sized for so early in the season, the spice was just the right amount, and the garlic butter sauce literally made it finger licking good. The tempura appetizer was no slouch either-- it was a solid mix of shrimp tempura, vegetables, and onion rings. On our second visit, we tried a collaboration effort-- a po'boy featuring chopped brisket from a local BBQ place. The sandwich was clearly still a work in progress (we were only the third and fourth people to try it), but the sides were well worth the wait.On our most recent visit, we tried more traditional po'boys, as well as their gumbo and etoufee. All around, everything was stellar. It was enough food that we ended up having enough for lunch the following morning. The only real knock on this place is that they really need to work on their speed of service. On our first visit, things were great until they started to get busier (maybe five tables worth of people came in) and then we kind of got ignored going forward. The to-go orders take forever too-- one visit, it took 40+ minutes to get fried fish and French fries. On another visit, it took 30+ minutes for po'boys. The good thing is that the quality is worth the wait.

I came into this restaurant cause I hadn't been since the new management or during Covid. I see they remodeled and it looks so cute inside. I was so hungry didn't get pictures of the restaurant. So I came in and ordered the two piece catfish and it comes with one side. I selected the garlic bread but I didn't like it. It's to smalls pieces of bread lightly toasted with lots of butter in the middle. Now I must say the customer service was awesome. The Cajun fries were good and lightly fried with Cajun seasoning. I ordered the fish cooked hard which was tasty. The only downfall is they don't serve alcoholic drinks yet. The fish was $10.99 very affordable. If I were in the area I'd come back.
