"We love Gilbert and the food scene! Liberty Market has been on our list and we finally came for breakfast on 7/13/24 for my birthday. They open at 8am so we surprised to see how busy they were at 8:05am when we arrived - about 80% full inside. The hostess said that there is often a line when they unlock the door. We understand why. There's a lot to like about the Liberty Market. It's historic, the atmosphere is fun, there is inside & outside seating, the onesy bathrooms are all decorated different, everyone is so friendly and customer service oriented and the food is great!We ordered the demi-breakfast - one with pancakes, sausage and fried eggs and the other with blueberry pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. The eggs were yummy with a nice orange yoke. We are really fussy about pancakes and these are in our top three! We liked the sausage, but loved the bacon. Our server, James was terrific and we also really enjoyed talking to one of the managers named Harry. "THIS PLACE... 5 STAR 100%. Cafe Monarch is heaven. From the second we walked in, we were absolutely taken care of by the staff!! The service is over the top, absolutely perfect! The food is INCREDIBLE. It is gorgeous inside, the bar area is beautiful. If you sit at the bar it's the only place that you can order a la carte. Otherwise it's a fixed menu. We were told that the chef is in his late 20s ((insanely talented)) and everynight there is a fixed menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and truly perfect. I could not tell you what my favorite dish was, except all of them.Yes, it is pricey, but you are getting the very best of the best. If you are on a budget maybe this isn't the spot for you, this is definitely a place where you treat yourself ((or in my case my bestie brought me here for my birthday)). If you are looking for a 5 star meal AND experience I promise you, this place knows what they are doing which is taking care of their guests! "Met up with some friends for dinner at Ocotillo, I have been a few times and love coming back! For dinner we sat inside, but Ocotillo has an amazing outdoor eating area on a beautiful lighted patio/backyard area, even a bar outside.I started my meal with a cocktail and for my main I had a homemade pasta dish with a meaty sauce. The cocktail was the perfect way to begin this meal. The pasta dish was filling and full of flavor, it also came with toasted Noble bread. I also got to try one of the ribs my friend order and man those were so dang good. Although I was perfectly pleased with my meal, I had plate envy haha. If looking for a great place a date night or night out go give Ocotillo a try!"

"This is a wonderful brunch spot in Scottsdale! Surprisingly there wasn't a wait when I visited, despite the restaurant being very busy. You can order at the counter and there is plenty of staff to check on you and bring out orders. I had the farmhouse which consisted of eggs (your choice), sautéed veggies and toast. It also comes with protein and they're able to substitute tofu. Everything was delicious and I especially loved the house jam The restaurant is very open with lots of natural light and great ambiance. I would definitely come here again!"

We came on a Sunday around 12:30pm and waited 20 minutes after we got on the waitlist. Not bad! It was definitely very lively and there was a musician playing, although, I couldn't hear him over the chatter and buzz. I could barely hear my friend sitting across from me! The seating is cozy, particularly where we were sitting, alongside the wall to the bathroom. Service was prompt, which is great! Although it seems trivial, I was turned off by the plastic cups they served water in. For a nice Scottsdale restaurant, I can't get a glass? Also not eco-friendly/cost effective.We ordered the summer special, Pina colada pancakes ($17) and the cinnamon roll pancakes ($17). We paired them with the cranberry-lime mimosa ($12) and screwdriver ($12). Our order came out within 15 minutes. The pancakes were smaller in diameter than the average Ihop pancake. The pina colada pancakes definitely tasted like a pina colada and I appreciated the toasted coconut on each pancake. No complaints as to the cinnamon roll pancake either."

"Oh how I love this restaurant! My friend Angie chose this place for us to meet up. I don't know how I had never even heard of it before she made our reservations. I am so incredibly glad that she brought me here because this place is amazing. The atmosphere is is what I would call upscale French country. They are beautiful arrangements of porcelain wear champagne bottles and even figurines of chickens. There are fleur-de-lis painted on the ceiling and the plates are all provincial China. There is a lovely garden patio, halloween sat inside. When we were seated, we received bread with pesto, some olives, and some marcona olives. We began our order with the baked chevre with crostini and the bacon, gruyere and leek tartlet. The tartlet had a crust that was so light and flaky and buttery that it literally melted in your mouth. So delicious! We move out your entrees. The beef bourguignon's burgundy gravy was so rich and flavorful and delicious and the meat was so tender. The scallops in white wine sauce and gruyere with wild mushrooms was superb. The scallops were huge - - I only ate 1 and 1/2 so I could have room for dessert. Dessert was fabulous! We had the chocolate raspberry cake with fresh raspberries, buttercream, and chocolate mousse. It was a wonderful dark chocolate. We also had the tuxedo cake--yellow cake layered with chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, and white chocolate buttercream. It was heavenly!Our server was great. She gave us plenty of time and did not rush us at all. We were a bit surprised when she brought us plastic to go boxes, instead of taking our plates back in boxing them as you would expect in a place like this. That said, they've only just started dinner service, it may not be in the groove yet. This place is wonderful. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, as was our server, and everything we ate was an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Be prepared--I have a lot of pictures!"

"Perfect Pear Bistro is always one of my favorite places to stop for lunch. My coworkers and I stopped by for lunch and absolutely loved our meal. It was a party of 6 of us and they were able to seat us within 10 minutes, even during the busy time. Our waitress was great, and brought out extra Arnold palmer for us to refill throughout our meal. My sandwich was divine, per usual. I love the melty cheese and sauce on it. It is so light and refreshing in a hot day. I got sweet potato fries this time as my side, which were perfectly crispy. Most times I don't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised by the service and food at ZuZu, so much that this was the only place The Doctor and I ate at while in town.As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, ZuZu is an extension of the Valley Ho's Mid-Century look. The indoor décor is lovely as well as the outdoor area...absolutely wonderful, with plenty of umbrellas to keep the sun off of us, even though it was not that warm.For the most part, every meal we had there was great, and the service was excellent. There were not many times where I got to fill my own flute with bubbles, which I am used to doing. I can speak with authority that breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all worthwhile. Some of the dishes for dinner are very eclectic, going from Mexican to Iceland to Asia.I am sure that there are other places to eat in Scottsdale, but as this was my first time here, this would be my go to place if we travel back here."

The amuse was a cannellini bean soup that was an impressive start. My salmon crudo was fantastic and a bigger portion than I was expecting. The lemon sorbet palate cleaner was just perfect. My sea bass was perfectly prepared and expertly seasoned. Husband was equally pleased with his duck. This must be a frequent stop for people on their way to Gammage, because as soon as we entered and got seated, the server asked if we were headed to a show there. We said yes, and she promised to get us out in time. Caffe Boa has a great atmosphere with lots of dark wood and exposed brick. We sat in the little sunroom separated from the dining room with our doorways. It's brighter in there. There's a separate bar and a glassed off room for more private dining. One of the best things about this place is the great art posters, all having to do with wine.The food here is fantastic. Hubby had the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were delicious, although I admit I love all meatballs. I did like the red sauce, which I can be a little picky about, and would definitely order anything with the red sauce. I had the steak salad, which was very large. It was dressed greens with sliced steak on the side, and I could hardly finish it. I did, because it was soooo good, but I left feeling stuffed.Caffe Boa is a really great place in general, but especially Great for a pre-event dinner in Tempe."

As we are on holiday and to celebrate my husband's early birthday we started with cocktails. I had a spicy blood orange Margarita it was delicious. The table shared a order of fried buttermilk calamari. For the main course I had scallops. Dessert we had a birthday celebration for hubby as well as a crème brûlée that we shared. When the check came I almost fainted as it was half the price the same experience would cost in Miami. Definitely would return the service, food and atmosphere were super."

"Hubby and I did a "staycation" at a hotel in Chandler this past weekend for two nights. The second night we decided to check out The Parlay restaurant down the street a couple blocks away. I had seen it be built and fitted a few years back, since my office building is also nearby. A friend from church also said it was good. I went online to see the menu and it had a reservation option so I went ahead and did that. When we arrived it was quite loud because there was a singer with a guitar, so it was hard to talk to the seater. But having live music was nice, and at the very end of our visit the guy played "Blister in the Sun" by the Violent Femmes, one of my all-time favorite songs from high/school college era (1980s). Mostly he had been going 90s grunge and 70s rock so this was quite a pleasant surprise! Definitely the highlight for me!But the food was amazing too! Hubby was feeling a bit lightheaded from not having had lunch so we ordered an appetizer, the portobello mushrooms with veggie and cheese filling. It was out of this world! I also ordered the French onion soup, which is their standard soup. It was way more than standard though, with a lovely swiss cheese "lid" baked on top and extremely savory broth filled with lots of onions and bread pieces. Yum-O!I really couldn't eat it all though because then our entrees arrived. I had the Southwest Mac and Cheese -- to die for! -- and hubby had a Gardenburger with fries. The fries were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle with great flavor, which is very unusual to find. I couldn't come close to eating all my pasta dish so took about half of it home.I also had a blackberry margarita which was as good as it was beautiful. Hubby just had Diet Coke but they were very attentive about refilling that and our waters. The waitstaff was just awesome in general.I also used the facilities while there, and the bathrooms were beautiful! It was a layout I had never seen before, where the men's and women's rooms did not have sinks; they had a collective sink wall outside the restrooms that was beautiful too!I forgot to mention that the whole building is glass walls to the outside, which made it really fun to people watch and look at the views. There was a patio/courtyard in the middle and then the "bar" on the other side. They had sports on big-screen TVs but the sound was off so you could visit.Very nice! Definitely will go back! Not cheap, but super duper delicious!"

"Really Tasty BurgersThis was our first time visit to Burgers and Brew but it wont be our last. The food is great, the restaurant is very clean, televions every where, and the service is spot on. Definitely will be coming back again.On this visit we shared 3 burgers (Pheonix Burger, Cali Burger and the Mac-n-Cheese burger), fries, tater tots, and onion rings. All the burgers were perfectly cooked and seasoned, served on a buttery bun, they were absolutely delicious, probably one of the best burgers I've had in a while and the french fries, tatertots and onion rings were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served pipping hot. I think next to the burger the onion rings were my favorite.If you're looking fir a great tasting burger, made fresh, served hot, that is full of flavor, stop by. The service is spot on and the food is delicious."
