I'd heard such good things about this place that I had to visit the next time I was in Philly. We arrived around lunchtime on a Sunday, and there weren't that many people there surprisingly. It's quite small, only a couple of tables for two inside. You can also order online and pick it up if you're in a rush!I'm actually not a big cheesesteak person, but my boyfriend had to get it. I took a bite, and it tasted surprisingly light? The truffle flavor was pretty strong - this is not your typical cheesesteak. It's hard to compare with all the other famous cheesesteak places in Philly because it's so different! Now the Italian sandwich is what I really want to talk about. I've honestly been thinking about this sandwich ever since I had it. I would say this is a step up from your typical Italian sandwich as well. All the ingredients went together perfectly, and the herb mayo made such a difference. This is probably the best Italian sandwich I've ever had, and I wish we had this sandwich in NY. I'm definitely coming here again next time I'm in Philly!Tip: We brought our sandwiches into the stadium for the Phillies game. It was so much better than settling for overpriced, boring stadium food!

When in Philly, a cheesesteak is a must! We stopped here for lunch and placed to go orders through a QR code for the Woodrow's Whiz Wit. It was quite busy at this casual eatery but our orders were ready in a few short mins. The sandwich was huge and full of meat, onions and cheese. It wasn't too flavorful in my opinion (maybe if I had some hot sauce in it) but it was still quite good. I do see why people love these cheesesteaks. A good sandwich overall!

I finally got to check this place out and our was really good! I'm a veggie so I went straight for the eggplant and mozzarella sando. It was super tasty and messy. The bread was a bit dry though so hoping that's not a consistent thing? I also asked for beets to be added (saw them on another sandwich, so asked if I could add to mine), and they weren't there. I was pretty sad about that. I think I was charged for it, too. I will def go back and try anything else that's veggie, probably go with the grilled cheese next?

We stopped by for Sunday lunch, and were really happy with our experience! If you're dining in, you order via mobile order, and they deliver it to your table. The store was packed, but people were eating relatively quickly, so no real struggle to find a seat. We got our food after ~20 minutes.I got the pork sandwich, and was really surprised! I'm typically not a huge pork fan, but wanted to give it a try. Super tender, flavorful, and a really hefty portion size. Given that it was shredded, towards the end, it did become a bit too much of the same goopy texture, but overall, still a great sandwich. Would definitely recommend giving their sandwiches a go!

I'll keep this one short. The Falafel beet sandwich was warm and good. Not tasty, just good. The Italian, on the contrary, was cold, very salty and extremely chewy. I guess if you are a cow, you'll love it.

Walked across town to find this place was closed on Saturday, August 24. I'm not sure if it is permanently closed or other issues going on to have it open as there was no note or anything on social media. A little notice somewhere would be nice.

Let me explain - this would have been a five star review if I had been able to get into the shop, to a table, and not have felt like a sardine smashed in a can. I didn't go in. It was chilly and misty, and I would have liked to have dine-in, but the place was packed and I am uncomfortable driving my chair in environments like that. Truthfully, I'm glad the place was so busy. These guys deserve to be making all the money. And I am sure that their space works just fine for them, but I took my cheesesteak to go, and since the weather didn't permit me to eat it outside, it had to wait until we got home.So please excuse my pic. This is what the cheesesteak looked like cold. It smelled amazing though, so I did try a bite before warming it. You know a sandwich is gonna engrave itself into your memory for all time when it tastes that good cold. It was mind-blowing warm. I can't even fathom how amazing it must be when it's freshly made and hot.We got the truffle whiz and grilled onions. I was a bit leery about the truffle whiz, as I'm not a fan of the usual truffle flavor. I actually kept booting Woodrow's to the bottom of our must-taste list because I was scared. I was an idiot. That truffle whiz is unique and SO delicious; not overpowering at all. And, wouldn't you know it, Woodrow's is now in my top three favorite cheesesteaks, along with Ishkibble's II and Delassandro's.Would absolutely recommend.

Walked a long way for this sandwich shop. It's very small. Only a few tables, so a majority of the business is takeout. We got the classic cheesesteak. My daughter and I split it. It was really yummy. Was it the best in Philly? No idea, since I didn't get to try any place else. But it was good.My daughter loved the Cajun fries. They were too seasoned for me. I should have just had a bag of chips.Small restroom in the back for patrons.

First, I hated the experience. This place lacks a soul. Upon entering you aren't really treated as a customer, you are asked to scan a QR code and order from the QR code. I watched customers come in be told to scan a qr and walk out and never come back. The lady working can easily help but she's reading a magazine. I wanted to update the Yelp menu pictures but they don't have menus which would be more business for them. The cheesesteak was a good sandwich with a hint of truffle oil. The steak quality was good but needed more. The cheese sauce broke and a bit too grainy.Tomato soup was good.3 stars as the experience here is lacking although the food is decent.Ambiance felt cold and out of touch. Came at lunch time and was not busy.
