I have just moved to the area and gave this place a try. It seemed ok and the prepared foods looks good. I picked out some cookies and was surprised at the price (very Expensive) I then proceeded to the deli. I was helped by an unpleasant man. He not only was rude but gave me the wrong weight and the worst piece of fish from the end. I couldn't believe the rudeness and for that I will NEVER go back. If you like expensive food with a major attitude this is the place.

We had seen this place passing by the area before, and it had piqued our interest, so we decided to check it out recently. It's a small local grocery store with pretty much anything you might need, and it has a cute small-town feel to it. When you first walk in, the bakery is right there, and the items there look pretty tasty. Also in the bakery section are some pies in boxes, and the prices looked pretty good, so my wife picked one up to look at it, only to find that it was moldy in the middle! From there, we kind of wrote off that section of the bakery. The rest of the store is as you'd expect of a grocery store, but the prices seem high. The prepared food section looks pretty good, and they sell tomato pies from Corropolese too, which is kind of cool.I'd probably come for the bakery if I needed to grab something quick.

Love this food market, it always has fresh veggies and meats. Sometimes it doesn't have everything I need but then again its not a giant grocery store. The help is nice to me, and the take out food is awesome. I always stop here when I am home.

It is a shame when you have that one staff member that is absolutely horrible at customer service. I hate to write this, because the other guy I had was very attentive and at least acted as if he was pleased to help me. I am specifically writing about the young man behind the deli; he is probably in his mid twenties/thirties, African American and usually wears a green apron. I can write a few issues I had that was only with him, but I will keep it short. I asked for my crab cake and lobster mac & cheese to be heated. He proceeds to tell me that it is already cooked. I didn't ask if it was cooked, just to be heated please. He, then, proceeds to roll his eyes and mumbled under his breath about something being BS. I was so appalled. When my food was ready, he gave it to me without a lid. Of course that was another issue to ask for a lid. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and maybe thought he was having a bad day. However, it happened too many times for me to keep making excuses for him. I really wish someone can do an in-service with this guy and try to make it right.

If you are in a rush and don't mind paying more, then this is the place for you. I stopped buying produce from here, but if I don't feel like fighting traffic to go to a better grocery store, I'll just suck it up and pay the surcharge. I've yet to see anyone, customer/employee, smile in this establishment. It seems sort of dark too, but that must be the aura...

Prepared foods are excellent! Otherwise, I'd be sure to check expiration dates on things before buying.

Visited: Friday - April 3, 2015 - 11:30 AMThe "Market" is a small grocery store with the usual canned, packaged, or jarred consumer food staples. What sets the "Market" apart from its competitors is the superior quality of "take-out" food. I used the term "take-out" but, catering is an important mainstay. My experiences have been nothing short of a five-star rating. Over a three stop visit, I've enjoyed eggplant lasagna, roasted mixed vegetables, chicken soup, stuffed peppers, red bliss potato salad, mashed yams, crab cakes, string beans, and challah bread. Fresh fish and meat are available in the rear of the store. The staff is friendly and accommodating.I enjoy cooking and have served my food to family and friends however, sometimes "assistance" is welcomed. My go-to for assistance is The Market. If my beloved 90 year old parents enjoy it, there is no reason to seek alternative "assistance".

Be careful what you ask for. Included in the weight for my $26.99@lb fried oysters are the 2 containers "complementary tarter sauce". I'm not stupid

A pretty good place to pick up prepared foods for lunch or dinner. There's a hot bar (today's included brisket, meatloaf, roasted potatoes, roasted vegetables, couscous, and quiche); a couple of hot soup choices; a salad bar; fresh sushi; prepared foods to take home to heat, such as chicken pot pie and salmon burgers; and a deli counter with knishes, blintzes, whitefish salad, et cetera, plus made-to-order sandwiches. The hot bar stuff is all good home cooking, The chili is nostalgically yummy, like a better version of school cafeteria chili---a little spicy, a little sweet. There's a good range of Talutto's pasta in the freezer, along with some hard-to-find items like Paul Newman pizza. And they carry schnecken!
