It's been a while since I've been to Stateside and a lot has changed. They're a pretty solid Vodka brand now and I do purchase their seltzers from the liquor store. No more food which was okay for the visit today. We were waiting for a dinner reservation and wanted to have a few drinks first. Surprisingly Stateside had an open bar and a few open tables. As soon as we walked in the staff started greeting us. In fact the entire time we were there until we walked out the staff was phenomenal. Great personalities, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a few of their mixed drinks and a seltzer before we left. They have a full bar so anything you want is available. My favorite was the Sazerac, I hadn't had any since my time in New Orleans so aside from the rainy cold weather, this transported me back temporarily. The other drinks were good, I think one was called a Rum Smash, but my problem with mixed drinks is when they're good, they go down way too easy. I like to taste a little alcohol. But I won't hold my issues against Stateside. A fun place, a great location and a great staff. I'm happy I came back after they dropped the food, I will return.

Okay I've been twice at this point and for what they offer I recommend. Service is great ! Bartenders are friendly and very attentive. Happy hour is 5-7pm food and drinks on the menu. I love the Wagyu Hot Dog. And these Funyuns were a first and also very tasty. I had oysters my first time and they were great and the bartender gifted me my own little Tabasco to go lol so to me if you're looking for more a quick bite, chat and chew with some drinks Stateside is good and it's lowkey not too mixy. Outdoor seating cute and a plus. Oh and i forgot the guy bartenders name but his playlist be lit ! Lol

My husband and I had a Groupon for the distillery tour and we enjoyed it very much. We tried a shot of pickle infused vodka and it was very smooth. The tour guide was knowledgeable. It's a small but fun distillery.

With Spring finally upon us, I gotta say...one of the smartest things we did was choose to check out Stateside on one of the first warm weathered nights of the year. The build of the restaurant itself is quite unique - very open air, with the bar being open to both the inside and out. It not only gave it a great vibe and made it feel much larger than it actually was, but it also provided a consistent breeze and fresh air throughout the night. While our food was good, it definitely felt like a place you'd sooner go to just get drinks. Their food menu is quite small, and I saw more people simply enjoy seating outside and hanging with friends. That said, the type of food isn't anything you can't find at the next local bar (burgers, wings, fries, etc.) I will say, I felt like their burger was one of the best I have had in awhile. It was cooked perfectly. I personally loved their pairing of the onion jam and pickles. Each bite packed a punch of sweet and salty. Specifically, I thought the burger was really well played with the pickles being cut long and flat, that covered the entire bottom bun. A lot of little details that led to a delicious sandwich. Beyond that, something notable about their fries was the curry ketchup - REALLY interesting! Keep in mind - parking in Passyunk is really tough. They don't make reservations. So be thoughtful in your timing and preparation for parking.

Stateside is what you'd expect when you see something like a 'pickled beet martini' and octopus on the menu (which is what I ordered). A little pricey but it was satisfying so I wasn't upset. The upsetting part was my partner's chicken sandwich. It was so expensive, very tiny, and didn't come with any side (fries, salad, etc.). I would recommend the octopus if that's your kind of thing.

I hate to do it. But this experience was on the sub-par side. So, full disclosure, we were trying to make it for brunch at The Dutch which closes at 2. We got there at 145 and service was unavailable. We looked around and landed here. Before entering, I asked if they served brunch. They do. All good. I should have looked at the menu, though. They did have French toast, egg dish, burger and fries but it was a very limited menu. I went with the two eggs any way but should have looked closer at the menu. It stated eggs my way with potatoes but I guess I took it for granted that there would be toast. How can one eat eggs without toast? Especially if you order sunny side up? No toast. I asked. Eggs, potatoes that was it. If you want breakfast meat, that is not available. My kid ordered eggs cooked medium and the yolk ran. I had one egg sunny and one egg hard. I ordered a mimosa and it came with a cap of foam (See photo. I hadn't even had a drink of it yet) and when I approached the bartender, she explained that's how mimosas appear if they are fresh. Huh? She was nice. But in all of my years (and SO many mimosas) I've never been served a mimosa like this and was perplexed as to how this made it to a paying customer? I also commented that the glass wasn't filled and she told me that was as "high as they fill their mimosas" which seemed weird. The cheese plate was sparse (grapes were cut in half) and when we asked for more bread it wasn't toasted like the first portion. There were a couple of cocktails that were decent but I can not at ALL recommend the brunch. I think they should take it off of their menu. No toast? No meat? Fourteen dollars for two sub-par eggs and potatoes? Nope. Sorry. This was one disappointing place.

Service was terrible. There was only one bartender and I tried to get her attention first time, she said "hold on one second" then she continued to help other customers. Then when she was done, I said "excuse me" again for her to turn around and put her finger up and say one second again. At the point we got up and left. Not going there again. Lost a customer. Good drinks but awful service.

Wagu hot dog and fries were excellent. Drinks we'll die. A bit costly if you're in a budget.
