This place is banging. My wife and I had colds all last week and were trapped in the house living off Theraflu and hot tea. So anyway we came out on the other side and both agreed nothing would be better than a hot soup. Now I used to live in South Philly so Pho is my go to for soup. Growing up it was always chicken noodle but nowadays I think most of that is too salty. So we searched around and found this place. It was about 20 minutes away which seems average for Germantown. At least for us. Don't move here without a car. I got a side of spring rolls and she got fried won tons to start. Both were absolutely delicious. We got too much food though. We got Pho bowls on top of that. She got shrimp Pho and I got tofu. The tofu was great. I think they fried it or crusted it a little before putting it in the soup. Most places just toss cubes in. This was a nice change of pace. Service was great and the food was really fast. I'm excited to come back here. Very delicious!

Tonight was my third time ordering takeout from Pholosophy. It's some of the most fabulous, clean, pho I've had and I'm from a large city on the western coast. Always order pho meatballs which are never too meaty or tastes weird. Takeout packaging is perfect and survives falling over/flipping in the car. Highly recommend. Not paid to write this review. All opinions my own.

The Bun Dac Biet (Deluxe Combination) is simply amazing. I'm a yoga teacher teaching at different studios and I'm always looking for good eats near the studios I work at. I've always been curious about this place and finally got my chance to try it, so I ordered this and loved it. I knew from the very first bite of chicken, that the rest of this was going to be great. The chicken, the steak, the shrimp, and the crispy spring roll were all prepared perfectly and without the added grease you get from other places. I'll try this in-house next time as I only had time to get this to go, so everything looks deconstructed in the container, but I'm sure in-person it will taste as great or even better. Very few Asian places impress me upon first visit as much as this. Five stars for the food!

I stopped at Pholosophy for the first time today. I was nervous about parking but found a spot quickly. The neighborhood has street parking and also nearby public lots. A quarter got me 30 minutes and you can also pay the meters on your phone. I got a chicken banh mi and tofu banh mi. Both were good. Rolls were nice and long, and veggies were very fresh. The amount of tofu was very generous and I'm torn whether I like the tofu or chicken Banh mi better. Next time I will need to try some Pho.

A friendly local spot. Gets very busy with evening take-out. I loved the Tofu phó, not filled with noodles -- which is great. The Bún was also good: lots of veggies. Nice atmosphere. Pricey for Vietnamese but quality ingredients.

I'm not out in this area often, but went I am, I am I find myself craving pho. Pholosophy is a small shop that is ready to deliver. Throw in their $10 a bowl special, and I'm sold!We came in mid-day Sunday after the lunch rush. The restaurant was clean and we were quickly greeted and seated. Having saw the special on the board outside, we knew we were both set for a bowl. I went Deluxe Rare Steak and she went Deluxe Well Done Brisket.The bowls and typically adders (sprouts, lime, basil) arrived in 5-10 minutes. The portion size was on point for the price. Likewise, the protein portioning was appropriate. Most importantly, the taste was excellent. I spiced up the broth a bit, but that is just my overall preference. We finished and both left full enough to have a late dinner!

I always order takeout from here, maybe twice a month, and this time it was very sub-par. The portion sizes were clearly cut, it was almost like they gave us 1/3 of what they used to. This wasn't mentioned on the menu, but it was quite obvious. I would much rather have a normal portion with a little hike in the prices than an extreme cut in portion sizes and the price staying the same. Food still tasted good, just very disappointing.

Wasn't quite impressed with this location. The prices were fairly high compared to similar restaurants. I ordered a chicken over rice dish, and the rice was cooked with some sort of tomato-y sauce. It was a nice surprise and I welcomed the twist compared to the traditional plain white broken rice.The location was nice and clean with parking available nearby.

The restaurant is lovely! Very clean and bright. The staff are quick and kind. The food is always 10/10!! We have tried every Pho and Bahn mi they offer. Each is so delicious and presented so beautifully. We will come back as often as we can!
