Paul Revere Pizza House

Roast pork sandwich is tasty w sharp cheese and roasted peppers. Pizza is top notch. Order for delivery or pickup to avoid waiting. Dining room is small amd closes early, like seven or eight pm on a weekend. They were quite busy, none the less. Friendly staff a counter, lots of customers waiting and more ordering delivery, evident in the number of drivers circulating. The drivers are quick and friendly too when delivery is preferred. Give them a try. They are the best I have seen in the Lansdowne area of Delco. There are other food places, but Paul Revere is my go-to place. The PIZZAS are coming...the PIZZAS are coming!

Quick past history lesson - Paul Revere was one heck of a Patriot and a fellow Freemason. More recent history lesson - The Pizza House bearing his name in Lansdowne PA has been serving Delco since 1966 and has won Best of Delco several times for their pizza. I was in the area for lunch and was very curious to taste their pizza! I found up front parking with no problem. They have a deli, a bakery and another business or two next to them. The inside was clean and they had a decent amount of booth seating. The girl working up front was soft spoken, but very friendly. I ordered a small plain personal and a bottle of water. $12 and change, not a bad amount for lunch. The pizza was delivered to my table somewhere around 7-10 minutes. First observation was this is a New England/Greek style pizza. It had a slightly oily crust, you could smell the buttery crust and yeast, lots of cheese, but with a nice twist the middle had a pocket of sauce peeking out from underneath the cheese. Taste wise, the sauce made itself known and almost balanced the flavor with the cheese. The sauce itself was a bit on the sweeter side and had nice flavor to it. With every bite, the taste of yeast, buttery and oily crust joined the cheese and sauce. The crust was a bit bendy, but a tad cracker like, holding up each slice (although small), produced a slight amount of flop. Overall, I thought the small was a good portion and well above average. I added some crushed red pepper to some of the slices to give the sauce some extra spice. I'm usually not a fan of this style pizza, but I really couldn't find anything wrong with it. If you're looking for a quick bite I'd recommend coming here. I didn't really explore their menu, but I noticed they've also won best of Delco for their Roast Pork sandwich, so you don't have to just be in the mood for pizza to pay a visit!

Best Italian Hoagie in Delco, I like that they don't use shredded lettuce, instead they use whole leafs, which gives it that extra crunch that I really enjoy. The hoagies are well built with fresh meat and veggies, they use a good seeded roll as well. Cheesesteak and Cheese fries were also a 10. Plenty of meat on the cheesesteak, had to take the other half home. Cheese fries reminded me ofBoardwalk fries, very tasty. Dinning room is clean and gives off a homie feel. The customer service is good too, welcoming and friendly, plus I like that they deliver quickly and efficiently. Overall my favorite place to go get sandwiches in the area, not to mention they are fairly priced and you get more than what you pay for.

They made my steak exactly how I asked for it and it was very good. They used the right kind of roll and the right kind of meat. I tried them out because they came highly recommended when I asked for places that would chop my steak the way I wanted it and put Cooper sharp cheese on it. It's no reflection on Paul Revere that the cheese was a bit of a disappointment. It was very good, but not as strongly flavored as my usual whiz. I didn't know until I went in to pick up my food that they had a seating area; I might use that, sometime.

Honestly I've never been disappointed ordering from Paul Reveres, hands down one of the best take out places in the area

For 9 months, I think I ordered from here once a week. Yes, my thighs and belly got bigger, as did my credit card statement. I've mostly had delivery but picked up a few times also. Some neighbors recommended it and we had good results in the beginning but then I felt like our experience wasn't as good anymore. It may be I got tired of eating the same thing but it is one of the better options for delivery around here within 2 miles. We've ordered a lot of cheesesteaks and pizza from Paul Revere but other items also. Always a carb heavy experience bit sometimes you need comfort food. Usually the cheesesteaks are good but after a while something changed. The last few times, the meat was dry and this last time I didn't even finish it, husband didn't finish his sandwich either. He does appreciate the cooper cheese, which other places don't offer.There were a few times they messed up larger orders. Food didn't match the receipt. The fam ate it anyway, not completely off so it wasn't a big deal. I wouldn't place big orders again.Overall, it's a good local spot and I would order from here again but best not to order so often.

I've had pizza here numerous times since 2004. Recently I noticed that they had beef pepperoni and decided to try it. We ordered a large beef pepperoni pizza. It was average, wasn't great and wasn't bad. In my opinion, they make better small pizzas than large pizzas. Definitely pleased that beef pepperoni is an option.

Can't say enough good things about the food. Pizza is always top notch. Meatball Stromboli is fabulous espy with sharp provolone. We pass at least 3 pizza places to get Paul Revere.

The best pizza I ever tasted!!! Better than any small pizza shop I've ever been to in the local area. It actually has FLAVOR, it's not bland, and their fries are actually CRISPY. Their fried shrimp combos be on point too. They have nice service, they always been friendly anytime I've went there. I would recommend 10/10. I don't know why my family waited this many years to finally try out this place!!
