Genoa Pizza and Grill

This place is right next to a popular neighborhood deli and in the middle of neighborhoods, so the on site parking was tough, but I found a spot. I had ordered ahead and got there early. You walk in and it's your typical take out area with a great view of the kitchen. They had almost a dozen guys working their butts off for lunch orders. It was quite an operation! The counter girl who had taken my order was very sweet and chatted with me a bit about their food, the deli next door and the neighborhood. My small personal pizza came out in the wait time I was given. It looked great and was a solid pizza. The sauce to cheese ratio was just right and although the pizza had a tad more grease than I typically enjoy I can't say it was bad. The crust was crispy, dough was fresh and the cheese was as well. If I was in the area I would definitely stop in again.

I got the Genoa special cheese steak. It came with pepperoni, mushrooms, fried onions, sauce and the cheese melted on top. I really like this cheesesteak. My first bite just tasted really good. I think they make their own rolls. Or they just toast them. I don't know why but I really like to roll. Looking at the picture of this Cheesesteak, I would not expect to like it. It looks like the mushroom spent no time on the grill. They are mixed in nicely with the meat, pepperoni, fried onions and sauce. There is not a lot of cheese. I had a roll blow out. This is one of those cheesesteaks that just works.

You can tell that they really care about how the food comes out. Food was AMAZING and seriously cooked to perfection. Delivery was fast and he was friendly and the food was hot. I will be ordering from them from now on :)9/15/18 - ordered from here again. Fast delivery, very nice delivery guy. Ordering online was a bit finicky, but food came quick and is amazing once more!

So I've tried this place a few times now. Just hadn't had a chance to Yelp until now. And I will unequivocally say that they're better than the previous establishments in this location. It's better than both Tommy Doc's and Goomba's were. I can say that pretty confidently. Tonight though they slipped a bit. My wife ordered a large with 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 chicken and broccoli with a couple of appetizers. 10 minutes after she called, they called her back. They asked her if she had ordered a white pizza. No we had not. We get the delivery in a half hour (they're always quick to the door). We look at the pizza. I should have thought to get a picture but I didn't. So they apparently "fixed" our pizza. I suspect they originally made the chicken and broccoli side white. But upon realizing the error they didn't make a new pie. Instead they dolloped sauce on top of that side. Because we got a pie where the pepperoni side had the sauce under the cheese and the chicken broccoli side had it on top. Did it taste fine? Yes although slightly overcooked this time (slight burnt taste this time around). But it was sauce overkill on the one side as a result. Honestly, it was a little weird. I'm torn as to whether they should have made a new pie for us as it would have delayed things. But you kind of expect that on a Friday to begin with.Plus the apps we got on the side, a sampler and buffalo fingers, were just ok this time around. I've had better. I've also had worse for sure. This place can get busy I've noticed. They have a lot of staff there. They seem to really get orders out the door quickly as evidenced by prior deliveries which were as quick as 15 minutes on a weekend. I'm wondering if being busy combined with their rush to get deliveries out makes them prone to slip ups now. I suppose other reviews in the future will confirm this. Plus, I'd probably go easier on them if they were cheaper. Higher pizza prices mean higher expectations. They're good. But it's a fine line between being good and being just like everyone else.

I order lunch here frenquently. Always great customer service on the phone and when the food is being delivered. I don't know these people but they always seem to be in a great mood and care about the quality of food and service they provide. Their food is great, best cheesesteak I've ever had. Affordable and quick, hot and delicious food, friendly service.

I used the online order option and it tracked the time for me to pick it up. I really liked that. It was done early and I walked to get it. The pizza was hot and tasty. I order there Genoa pizza. It was very good, plenty of toppings. The people in the store greeting me kindly and I tipped cash in the jar. I will return.

food is always good , i live tight around the corner and it's so convenient when i don't have time to cook , the service is always perfect & they are usually quick with the orders

Great F**king cheesesteak and the lady at the register is really nice! Definately recommend trying!

Has gone downhill so fast. They have a wings and pizza with a 2L special. price went up but so has everything else and everywhere else. things is quality has gone so far down also unlike everywhere else. pizza is thinner with virtually no sauce or cheese. cheese seems to have switched brands or types idk. when you bite it the slice the entire topping of cheese just comes with the bite. sauce is so sparce. it was the reason i went there. the sauce was a decent amount. now you hardly see any. literally bite down and its cheese to crust. when you get a topping it is sufficient. wings are cooked good but hardly any sauce. everywhere else leaves their wings coated nicely and a little extra at the bottom of the container. they taste just like plain wings with no sauce. i am guessing for both the pizza and wings they are counting on people ordering extra sauce to make a few more $. i ordered this week and it will be the last time. i will have to drive a little further but maybe Pats from now on. their prices have risen also but they still have the same quality.

The food is always consistent and delicious! They have the best cheesesteaks and use chicken breast for their chicken cheesesteaks.
