I have enjoyed their pizza over the years so I decided to try something else on the menu via Uber Eats and my food was just okay.I order the Grilled Chicken BLT which was a good size sandwich. You have the option of a roll or a wrap so I opted for the wrap. What I would have liked was some flavor. It was a bit bland like the chicken wasn't seasoned or no seasoning (like salt and pepper at a minimum) was added. The Caesar salad was very small and reminded me of a small side salad. For $6.99, I expected a larger salad so I was disappointed.

So I came on a busy weekend and a festival in town! We were able to snag a table and everything was clean and stocked (napkins- straws-etc). The food was delicious! I got a slice with broccoli, chicken and a red pepper sauce and a slice of white pizza! Crust even had a good crunch and flavor! Would gladly go back again (I dove in so fast I didn't even get a pic!)

Wanted homemade chicken noodle soup that was hardy, but too much chicken and not a lot of noodles or veggies but everyone likes different ratios... they do use macaroni noodles as well which was good I walked in to order the service was a little sub par, very disorganized for 'the hill' , maybe since the pandemic they aren't use to having people come inside and order? There was one gentleman who ordered online and came for pick up had to ask for the salad after being handed only a pizza, it just seemed like they were very spacey but maybe it was busy and they were in the weeds? Either way the service should be as good as their bread knots!!

16 bucks for 9 "boneless chicken bites". Really? Talk about taking advantage. This was more like a wawa chicken bite. Wawa sells these for less than 5 bucks. I like thier pizza, but will not go back.

I work a couple blocks from Cosimo's and have had their pizza many, many times over the years. Always very good. For the first time yesterday we decided to get something else. What a pleasant surprise! The California Cobb salad, Gorgonzola Walnut Salad and Veggie Wraps were all large, delicious and great value for the reasonable prices. The roasted red pepper dressing and blue cheese dressing are as good as in any upscale restaurant. And they have a very impressive 23 vegetarian items on the extensive menu, which I very much appreciate since I do not eat meat. If I may make one small suggestion, it is to greet customers with a smile. It does not cost anything, does not take any time and is good for the facial muscles. I have worked in places like this myself, so I know that some customers can be a pain and even unreasonable, but a smile is a way to make both you (the worker) and the customer feel a little better.

Just got takeout...fresh mushroom and spinach & tomato, spinach roll and garlic knots. Nice selection of interesting pizzas, nice people. But just 'nice'. What we got was boring.

My daughter and her bestie swear by this place, one of those shops where you can buy by the slice--which seems to make it popular with the SEPTA drivers from the trolley loop across the Avenue. Anyway, I used to swear by Fiesta down the Avenue a few blocks, but a couple of things have happened. First, I was diagnosed with celiac, so no pizza for me unless it's gluten-free. Last I checked, nothing on the menu like that. Second, my daughter and her friend say Fiesta is really off its game, and I trust their assessment. So even if I could eat there, I probably wouldn't.These days, if I have a craving for pizza, I discovered that Cosimo's actually bakes up a really good gluten-free version. I've ordered it many times. The crust comes pretty darn close to a regular pizza crust. Tasty sauce and abundant gooey cheese. The problem with most gluten-free pizza shop pizza, if you can find it, is the crust. Weirdly sweet tasting; odd, thick, crumbly mouth feel. Cosimo's crust is, in contrast, the gluten-free gold standard. Actually tastes like regular pizza crust. Thin, floppy and foldy, like a NY crust. If you have celiac, a must-try.

Cosimo's Pizza Cafe is an attractive pizzeria and even better just a short walk from where I live. I like the looks of this place very much and its convenience. The food however has rarely lived up to its physical attributes. For example last night I ordered a personal pizza with anchovies. (Other toppings I was going to add at home.) You can only order the personal pizza with a gluten-free crust (why?) and it was not tasty at all. Some of the edges were also too hard to bite into. I will never order a personal pizza from here again. Because it is so close I will try some of Cosimo's other offerings - perhaps an Italian entree of a hoagie. And maybe down the road a friend or neighbor will tell me they had a good pizza from here (probably a non-gluten-free regular or gourmet pizza) and I'll try one of those...but never a gluten-free personal pizza for me again.

Easy take out when you don't want to cook. And let's be honest, Chestnut Hills doesn't have a plethora of good food options.Food definitely tastes better than my perception of seeing the restaurant from the outside. The outside reminds me of a 60s hippie meets today's hipster vegetarian. And I did pause to wonder if there was more to the mushrooms than just eating them on a pizza.Food is always good - although it can be hit or miss for the same menu item pending the order. My biggest negative is how expensive the food is for what you get. Sometimes you do get a large portion which somewhat justifies the price. At the end of the day, you can more or less pick randomly off the menu and it will be solid. Almost gave it three stars but, at the end of the day, the convenience in this area cannot be beat.

This had the most generous toppings of any pizza place I've been too. When you're paying typically 10x over cost for toppings at any pizza place, you want to get what you paid for. Smoked ham and eggplant were great. I would not recommend the mozzarella balls because they seemed frozen. Will return for the pizza.
