"We ordered from this restaurant via Door Dash last night. We ordered a variety of things to try them out since we hadn't found a Chinese restaurant we loved in our area just yet. The General Tso's was sweet instead of spicy and really didn't have a lot of flavor - this was a HUGE disappointment to us since this is our favorite dish and it tasted more like Sweet and Sour Chicken than General Tso's. We also ordered the Mei Fun - it was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but everyone enjoyed this dish. Our egg rolls and wonton soup were fairly standard - the wontons were really thick and hard to eat, but all in all, a good compliment to the meal. Given the number of Chinese restaurants around, I can't say we would order from here again."
"I went here on a Friday night because the other place I was going to go told us to wait an hour. We were the only ones there on a Friday night (more did come by in the end). The service was prompt and fast. The server was nice. I ordered shrimp fried rice and all the other people ordered sushi rolls. The food itself was pretty average. Nothing newsworthy, but nevertheless a solid dinner choice with good service."
Sesame sauce, minced pork and scallion and with chili oil. Mild.

"The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Tangs's: Fresh. The second? Super friendly.I came across Tang's during my usual stake out of food trucks during lunch hour and decided to order a beef and broccoli over brown rice. What I was expecting was the run of the mill Chinese take out version of beef and broccoli: semi tough beef and overcooked broccoli swimming in grease and a large quantity of brown sauce. To my great delight what I got was the complete opposite - the beef was tender and the broccoli was a lively green and incredibly fresh. There was a light and just right amount of sauce and great helping of chili oil. The lady running the truck is so friendly, welcoming & nice (a stark contrast to the lady at Yue Kee). The wait is short and the prices are impressively cheap. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other items on their expansive menu!"
"For chinese take out this place is great. The food is ready fast have had good service picking up and using delivery. Egg Rolls aren't the best but I dont even usually eat General Tso chicken, and find myself craving it from time to time now cause it is great here. It is not mushy like some places it is crispy and full of flavor. If your in the mood for some chinese take out this is your spot."
"Got a Hunan chicken takeout lunch from Wing Hing. Paid $1.50 extra for the all white meat option. Hunan is supposed to be spicy but with a lot of flavor. It lived up to its reputation. Definitely will get again."
"Ordered General Tsos from DoorDash for 10.80.1) Fried Rice: it's got decent Wok Hei. Pork pieces are fairly good sized and seasoned well. It's not the char siu that is all dried up and what not - tastes pretty legit. The combo comes automatically with pork fried rice.2) General Tsos: some pieces were dried and stringy, but most were not. The sauce is on the spicier end than others, but the flavor is VERY PLEASANT. It does have a slight garlicky flavor which I liked a lot. 3) Broccoli: wait what??? Am I reviewing garnish? Yes. And their broccoli is fresh. No grey or spotted stems. No bitterness. I'm a fan. 4) Egg roll: not super greasy. I'm convinced they all order it frozen from the same place cuz it all tastes the same. Overall: I'm a fan. 4.4/5 - docked off for value. (A bit pricey for gtsos)"
"Chu Shang Spicy is one of my favorite go-to restaurants in Chinatown. I always get the spicy mala dry pot and customize it with a medley of ingredients, including pork, beef, enoki, lotus, water spinach, watercress, cabbage, Chinese cauliflower, bean sprouts, crab sticks, and the must-have wide glass noodles. The mouthwatering spicy flavor and numbing/tingling sensation are super addicting and pair perfectly with a bowl of fluffy white rice. I love spicy food and especially crave it during the winter. It is the perfect dish to share with friends, but make sure they can handle the heat (there are non-spicy flavors, but spicy is the best)!Of note, in my experience, the food can take a while to come out, especially if they are busy! Probably not the best place to go if you are looking for a quick meal."
"I order from this Chinese store the most. I love that they are open until 11pm. That way I can get food when I get off work. But lately I've been loving the chicken and broccoli with yat."
"I drove by Yummy Yummy 100s of times, never saw it so far back from the road. The inside is nice, modern, but small. One can eat at the window on a stool, that's it. No tables. Our food wasn't ok, but it was "cheap Chinese". Rice was dried out. Roast pork wasn't great. The egg rolls have an exceeding crust to filling ratio. Would I go back? Yes, but not late at night."
"Dan Dan stands out as a uniquely good restaurant. I'll admit, this was more of an adventure for me because I'm limited in my knowledge of Asian cuisine outside of maybe Chinese take out, sushi, and a recent introduction to dim sum. However, at first I was little intimidated by the menu. However, our server was extremely patient and helpful with our party of 12. The scallion pancakes were superb. I've had them at other places, but these are amazing. The suggestion of the chicken wings was a pleasant surprise. Really good. And how can you not have Dan Dan noodles? Spice was on point and balanced. The 3 cup chicken in presentation was good, but in flavor and taste was great. Everything I tasted was flavorful. But the restaurant itself beautiful. This place is a gem. I'm feeling cultured and junk now."
"Just stopped in for lunch and this food was so good! Easy to order on a kiosk- perfect for the casual atmosphere in a cool historic silver diner. Very friendly service- the food was brought out from the kitchen as things were ready and each thing we ate was better than the last! Had a pork bun, fried rice cakes, salt and pepper chicken, and their signature Changan biangbiang noodle. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The noodles were a soft, chewy consistency, and the chili sauce and pork was so flavorful. In response to another reviewer- we were also very happy with the service, they provided recommendations, brought out our food, and cleared our table. Maybe you just experienced some early-opening adjustments....So happy to have this regional cuisine as an addition to the Ardmore area. I also recommend checking their website for their hours. It seems what's posted here isn't accurate- I went on a Monday afternoon and they were open. They also have a parking lot in the back!"

First time using Shang Hai. My two favorites in the area are China Wok, which doesn't deliver, and Wuwu, which does but because of the distance it's a bit costly. Given prior reviews, I was hesitant to try this place but found it worthwhile. They quoted an hour for delivery but showed up in about 35 minutes. Portions were large for the price. Quality was good. Maybe not quite as good as the other two but not bad at all. Value was excellent.I'd order from here again.

Tang's is another Chinese food truck on Penn's campus. An alternative to Yue Kee's, it's a good substitute for someone who doesn't want to deal with the cantankerous Yue Kee lady or the Yue Kee wait.Tang's is so much faster than Yue Kee's because they don't stir-fry the food fresh for you on the spot. Nonetheless, their food still comes out piping hot and is quite delicious and fast. My favorite is the "egglan & tofu" followed closely by the "egglan and chicken". I love that purple vegetable! Get reacquainted with this delectable vegetable. Your mother would be proud.I can't explain the personality difference. They have an extensive menu and almost all of their options are under $4. Wait time during lunch hour is ~15-20 mins from the time you get in line to food in hand.

It's Chinese food, and it's in Delco, I can't really say much besides it's standard Chinese takeout. I've eaten here for the better part of 5 years or so, and it's usually edible. I've had issues where the chicken in the Chicken and Broccoli is overcooked, or the sauce is too oily or salty, and maybe the egg rolls are glorified cabbage rolls. That being said, my go-to dishes are usually Chicken Mai Fun or Chicken Mooshu since those tend to be the most diverse in vegetables that aren't green veg and the flavors are inoffensive and easy to fix if messed up.You won't get the best Chinese food of your life out of a takeout place on the edge of the suburbs, but you'll at least have something else to fill your stomach besides pot roasts and pizza.

We used to get Wing Hing plenty in the past, however the food has completely changed. The last two times were the worst and we won't be coming back. The chicken wings were yellow? I don't know they just didn't look or taste right. The chicken and broccoli was terrible. The chicken barely had sauce and was chewy and crunchy? It made no sense. The shrimp egg rolls had 1-2 shrimp, a ton of cabbage and no flavor. We ended up throwing away the majority of food.

I ordered a small order of bbq spare ribs, crab rangoons, and the seafood combination. The crab rangoonn were ok. The spare ribs were decent and edible but they were burned. The seafood combo came with shrimp, scallops, imitation crab, straw mushrooms, and vegetables. It was well watered down, leaving a wet, sloppy dish. It was flavorless. I had to add four packets of soy sauce to be able to eat it. Kind of disappointed.

Perfect for those chilly days when you're just craving a HUGE bowl of hot, spicy soup with literally whatever you want in it. I find myself coming back here whenever I want a comforting meal. Definitely opt for the " build your own" bowl or dry plate option. They give you a check list and a pencil and you can add any veg, meat, greens you want. The bowls are literally huge and will last you for two meals at least. Definitely would recommend sharing between two people. Great bang for your buck for a personalized meal.

"Great takeout chinese place. They dont skimp on the portions. Very nice staff. Very quick too! I just wanted a menu since I just moved here but I decided to try some of their menu. I'll definitely be back. Update to my review: this place is definitely reliable. Fast. Generous with portions (including components of their dishes, like chicken!). Theyre very friendly and I was happy to have them nearby."
"Hands down best Chinese food place in the world. First of all you get a feast for five dollars or less and this place serves things you would never expect. Cheese steaks, funnel cake, ice cream, fries and wings just to name a few. There wings are a steal too, each wing is really two wings you get 4 wings and fries or fried rice (pork or white) for 4.25 but it's really 8 wings. It's my favorite and any one I bring there it becomes their favorite too"
"This review is a four overall but more like a 3.7 I will start off by saying that brand that China buffet has probably the most options out of any buffet that I've experienced. However am I paying the options that were available were just okay. There were some stand-out items like the salmon which was seasoned and had a wonderful sauce on it or the sushi which was pretty solid and the seafood options, Even the hibachi station was cute. But overall most of the options just fell a little short. Bad enough our table wobbled badly and when I asked if we could move I was pretty much met with a, "no" Even though it wasn't super crowded and they were tables clearly available. One of my favorite items was definitely a little shrimp cakes they make. I definitely want to try them when we aren't rushing to go somewhere else and we can actually sit down and experience more of the items. I definitely tried about 10 to 12 different things and only two of them were really good but the rest I didn't finish. I usually like to go to buffets on weekdays when there are a million people in there which is why I definitely want to go in on our last busier day."
"I was the first person to review this place. I used to eat here all the time back when I worked at Power 99, which was on Domino Lane at that time. Almost everyone at the station ordered from this place because they were THAT GOOD. Wellll... times have changed. I guess they've changed owners, because this place hasn't been good in YEARS. I felt I needed to update because I did not want to be the reason people ate here and hated it.I used to love the general tso's, chicken with vegetables, shrimp fried rice, and egg foo young. None of these are good anymore. They use plastic containers which make the chicken chewy and hard by the time you get it home. The metal containers they used to use were much better for keeping the food hot and fresh. Nevertheless , I kept going here because I still hadn't found a place I like better... until now. I won't say the name of the place here because I do not want to ruin their business, but they need to step it up. The food is not nearly as good as it was. This comes from someone who was a loyal customer for about 14 years."
"Best Chinese fast food spot in he area. Taste, price and portions are great. Cash only and they don't have fortune cookies, ever! that sucks."
"Out in the land of high end and over priced lunches- the main line i saw a big sign for a $5.95 luncheon including brown rice and there was no question where i'd dine today. There were several items for 5.95 but most ran around 6.25 including my choice Hunan Beef. Hunan beef was many thick slices of tender beef seasoned with red pepper flakes in a brown sauce with standard Chinese vegetables. Alongside was a generous portion of brown rice. The meal included wonton soup and a steaming pot of tea. Portions sizes were such i have a leftover for lunch tomorrow. Very tasty and the service made it a pleasurable dining experience"
"As far as neighborhood Chinese joints go this one is my favorite. Although I haven't taken advantage of it yet I love their little takeout window situation. How cool to just roll up and grab an egg roll for the road. When I get delivery it is always fast and hot. I love their general tso, friend rice, and shrimp lo mein. As you can see I've never tried anything too exotic here but the basic Chinese corner store fare is delicious and I'm a loyal customer!"
"Oldie but goodie!! I recently revisited this restaurant. It used to be a favorite of mine but I thought it closed during covid. Luckily they did not and the service and food are still A-1!! Good prices and freebies depending on how much you buy. Best flavor chinese food in the area, in my opinion. Go and see for yourself. A gem hidden in a hole in the wall. Don't forget the homemade tea."
"A Chinese store that has heat?!?!I'm in. It's a take out place and the kitchen is visible. I like that. They stay open late. If you are traveling 5th street and can't decide between all the chinese stores pick this one. It's clean."
"I moved to DE about 3 years and was hesitate to try any local Chinese take out spots bc of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. We ordered the Tso chicken and chicken lo mein platters. Rice was cooked perfectly! Egg rolls were tasty! The lady who rang me up was very polite and sweet. I will return for sure"
"I put in a online order to pick up from Aya Asian Fusion for chicken and broccoli and a pizza roll real simple. It was done, hot, and ready literally as I pulled up and I couldn't be happier. Although I didn't sit in, the inside was real comfortable and welcoming. The food was good! I chicken wasn't chewy and the sauce was saucin so I couldn't be mad. I definitely enjoyed my meal and I'll be back to try something else."
"Ordered delivery on Eat24 to satisfy a Chinese craving. Delivery was about 45 minutes and we ordered a wide variety- steamed pork dumplings, crab Rangoon, chicken and broccoli, chicken lo mein, shrimp and mixed vegetables, and hot/sour soup. Everything, aside from the crab Rangoon (very disappointing, very small and barley any filling) was incredible. Potentially the best Chinese I've had in the city and look forward to ordering again!"
"This place is amazing. The Jumbo Shrimp with Walnut in Cream Sauce is hands down my favorite dish so far at this place. The sauce is so delicious and the shrimp are so big. The Peking duck was juicy and the buns tasted so fresh. The Pepper Steak with Onion was also cooked to perfection. My friends who have been going to this place ever since they were children said this would be their last meal and I totally agree that it's amazing."
"This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant! I ordered the chicken and shrimp Szechuan and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients delicious sauce rice was perfect. It reminds me of a very old-school Chinese restaurant that does things right. Large portion of food as well! They also gave homemade crunchy noodles, which I love! I will definitely be back. They are only open for takeout, no seating inside. The staff is just lovely! Highly recommend."
"Ordered the ho fun and the general tso's chicken. The rice is steamed well, but has a little bit of a flavor to it that was almost buttery. Not bad though. The chicken is saucy and pretty fatty dark meat. My favorite part of the experience was the ho fun! The noodles were so delicious and thick, and the soy sauce and veggies in it didn't let me stop! Took me a few searches to find beef ho fun, and I think they hit it out of the park! Overall some average chinese food, but the noodles were delicious and the price wasn't too bad!"
"This place is a gem and all the Chinese people know of its existence on the Penn/Drexel campus. For $3-$5 you can get a carton full of somewhat authentic (depending on the dish you order) Chinese food including a soft drink. It's really busy weekdays during lunchtime when floods of international students and/or asian health science professionals hoard this truck, so if you order then expect a 15 minute wait. They now take phone orders so you can avoid this dilemma. During non rush hour your food is ready within 2-3 minutes.A middle aged couple runs this truck, and they don't normally greet you with bright smiles and extraordinary etiquette; but you're an idiot if you expect great customer service from a food truck. You're paying them $3-5 for quick delicious food.. they don't owe you any extra smiles, and they can afford losing your business if you can't tolerate not being treated like a princess. In all honesty, they're just very neutral but that's understandable considering the level of stress. tldr; cut these people some slack and just order your food and leave.I'm surprised no one has contributed actual food photos of this place, so I guess I'll be the first."
"China Chef is around the block from my house and has been consistently good every time I've ordered. I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about, as I've never had a problem here. The only thing I can potentially see is that service is a bit rushed, but it appears they get slammed around dinner time. Overall it's an okay restaurant for basic Chinese food. If you're looking for higher quality I would travel a little bit further near Malvern or Paoli."
"Quick service for a sit down restaurant. The menu was limited with entree options. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered and our food came out about 15 minutes later. I ordered the Shrimp with Honey Walnuts. It came with a plate of white rice for the table to share. The shrimp was great and it also came with broccoli. The menu unfortunately didn't have many options for entrees or appetizers. Also, we were unable to swap the white rice for fried rice. A decent restaurant with quick service."
"Cheap, fast, and tasty. Even though it's located in a scary neighborhood and you order through bulletproof glass, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the food is pretty darn good. It's cash only, but very affordable for the portion size. We got the Singaporean noodles which are quite tasty. Plenty of curry powder and chili flakes to give it a lot of flavor. And it was packed with an assortment of veggies and protein. I quite enjoyed it. We also got the broccoli chicken which I thought was a bit greasy, but also quite good. I'm glad we asked for less sauce because it was plenty saucy to even with that adjustment."
"Naw. Ain't no way Manayunk been sitting on this gem for who knows how long and I haven't had a piece of it! Decided to hit China Wok for lunch and try somewhere new for my chinese store desires. I tried their chicken and broccoli lunch special. They most definitely did not disappoint and had the usual chinese store protocol: 10 minutes, cash only, good sub for fried rice, and has pizza rolls (I've ran into too many chinese stores with no pizza rolls and it's my jam). Chicken was grade A and not rubbery or chewy. I can appreciate how chill and polite the staff were and how clean the cooking area was too. Best believe I will be back."
"This place is fancy and the decor is hip. They get top marks for presentation. Everything is served on bamboo. The food is actually very good too. The Peking duck at $46 for half a duck is overpriced though. The biggest issue is the service. It took a long time for our waitress to come take our order. It seems a lot of the staff don't really speak English, so communication is a problem. The waitress told us that the deep-fried duck bones comes with the Peking duck, so we thought it was complimentary. After she took our order, we never saw her again for the rest of the night, so it took a long time to get someone else to bring us our check. When the check came, we got the unpleasant surprise that we were being charged for the deep-fried duck bones that the waitress told us "comes with the Peking duck". We're definitely never coming back here again. There are plenty of good restaurants in Chinatown at more reasonable prices."
"Took me far to much time to get the name "Spice C" "Spicy" but it's a nane I won't forget. Located right in the heart of Chinatown, Spice C boast a large menu with a bunch of tasty items. Came for the hand drawn noodles which were amazing. Compliments to the waiter for suggesting the Pork dumpling soup. Spicy, savory, and just all around satisfying for a cool autumn night. Service was quick and efficient. Perfect for how I like noodle spots to be. They accept all forms of payment (credit/debit/cash) Can't wait to come back."
"Great takeout. Always ready within 20 minutes of calling, generous portions, great taste. Chicken and broccoli, egg foo young, sweet and sour chicken, and edamame are all fantastic."
