Great spot for a group dinner. We shared the Half Peking duck, which was delicious. I wish it came with the a few more buns as 4 of us were sharing but we just got 2 orders of the buns. The actual duck was juicy and crispy! The soup dumplings and fried rice were good, though nothing super special. The drinks were reasonably priced!Interesting ordering concept where you click a button on the table to let the waiter know you need something. Overall great food, low frills kind of spot.

While in Philly I was craving peking duck so my family decided to try Sang Kee Peking Duck House. We were seated upstairs because all the tables on the 1st floor were occupied. We figured if the restaurant was packed, that was a good sign ... but it really wasn't. We ordered half of a peking duck, pork soup dumplings, water spinach and braised beef with tendon and wonton noodle soup. If you're on the fence on ordering the soup dumplings, I'm here to tell you ... don't do it! They aren't fresh, they are frozen dumplings all the way. The water spinach was very flavorful and I really enjoyed it. The braised beef with tendon and wonton noodle soup was very good. The beef was very tender. I wish I could say the same about the Peking duck and buns. Yes, it's Peking duck with the crispy skin, not roast duck pretending to be Peking duck. IYKYK. BUT the Peking duck was very dry and buns, they got hard as a rock after 10 mins. We felt like the buns were microwaved instead of steamed because the edges were just too hard to enjoy. Would I return on the next Philly road trip? I highly doubt it.

I stayed in Philly for a long weekend trip and had this as a must-try location as I've heard great things about Sang Kee. I stopped by at 4pm and were seated right away, although the restaurant was essentially full with other parties. We decided to try a quarter order of Peking duck with buns. This was a good amount for two diners as we felt satisfied but not overpowered by the richness of the dish. The duck was delicious and exactly what I hoped for - crunchy, crispy skin with perfectly cooked and seasoned duck meat. The baos with the meat, sauce, and scallions were absolutely delicious and felt well-balanced. In addition to the duck, I ordered the shrimp dumpling and wonton noodle soup. The broth had a great flavor and complimented the dumplings and wontons well. The shrimp dumplings were tasty but I must say that the star of the dish was definitely the regular wontons, which had a nice bite and contained shiitake mushrooms in addition to the shrimp and pork. Service was prompt and the staff was very helpful in describing and suggesting dishes. The restaurant also felt very clean. If I'm ever back in Philly, I will be sure to come back for another order of duck and wontons!

Great spot for a variety of dishes. Quick service and lots of seating, and prices good as well. Right on the corner. Menu has lots of options, with specialty on duck dishes. Their chow fun is a great portion and flavorful. Lots of seating and they have a separate dining area. Will stop in again to try more. Thanks

Beef chow fun and their wonton noodle soup never disappoints! The broth is light yet flavorful. Noodles and wontons are bouncy. Love the duck wraps as well- perfect amount of scallions and hoisin sauce.

Solid but not the best I've had. The duck was on the dryer side and quite bland, needing hoisin sauce for flavor. While the skin was crispy, they should balance the crispness without overcooking the meat. The service was nice and friendly. The pancake was standard. I tried some pieces immediately after picking it up to taste it at its peak, but finished the rest later. There are better spots I've been to for about the same price.

Been a while since we've been here. Came right about opening time. This time service was on point. The food - well their Peking duck is excellent. The rest was just ok. Shrimp lo mein was heavy on noodles and very light on smallish shrimp- I expect more for a $16 entree serving. The budda delight (all veggies) was mediocre . The soup dumplings average. In general - if you're here for the duck you'll like it. Everything else? Meh-I've had better - particularly at these prices.

Located in the heart of Chinatown. Parking is a bit difficult. Would probably recommend taking a rideshare. Pros:-good Chinese food for the money-family style-we got eggplant, duck, wonton soup, flat noodle beef stir fry - all of which came out pretty quick and nice and hot-the duck is especially delicious, probably on the best in the areaCons:-kind of a small restaurant but understandable for being in Chinatown. What this means is that if you come at a busy time, you may need to wait a while-wonton soup was light on flavor -food can be a little oily but on par with Chinese food of this type-place was had strong AC that blew directly on one of our tables but they did turn it off when we asked themConclusions - great choice if you are in the mood for some good Chinese duck

Sang Kee Peking Duck House has a casual, welcoming ambiance with a classic, no-frills decor. It's comfortable and unpretentious, focusing on providing a relaxed setting to enjoy great food. Service was great too. Will come again!

The food here hit the spot in the sense that it was fast service and the food was good and the prices were reasonable. I think it just fell a bit flat compared to some of the other restaurants in Chinatown. We ordered the peking duck roll (appetizer) beef noodle soup, crispy roast pork, house special fried rice, and black bean sauce clams. My favorite was the house special fried rice and clams, but the Peking duck rolls were pretty small and on the pricier side (this was a pass for me). Overall, the experience was not bad but there's definitely better close by,
