I ordered the Cali club sandwich and it was amazing. For the price which was around $15, they definitely gave a lot of meat and condiments. Baras used to be a liquor store, but they eventually converted it to a sandwich deli which was a great idea. Everybody, I know who's been There says they love the food. The staff are nice and the deli is clean. I highly recommend this place If you like sandwiches and pasta. I will definitely be returning to Baras in the future."

In addition, It has a lot of seating so it's a great place for big parties.Service: this restaurant has an ordering desk where you put in an order and wait for your food. The service was quick and friendlyFood: we got the honey mustard chicken sandwich and the Asian citrus salad. The chicken sandwich was very good with a well breaded and crispy piece of chicken. The bread was nice and fluffy and the simple toppings complimented the chicken nicely. I did not think the cheese they used would pair well with this sandwich but it fit perfectly. The Asian citrus salad was light and had textures and flavors that complimented each other perfectly. I loved that they put the salad dressing on the side so you can control flavor of the salad on your own."

Tandoori Potato, Paneer Tikka, Pav Bhaji, Aaloo Gobi have generous amount of toppings unlike other pizza places where they throw a few on top to check the box. The dining area is full of character, though I think it can benefit from playing a bit of Moroccan music at a reasonable volume. The location is great and the view is fantastic. Go for a walk along the bay after your meal. The chicken isabella (sandwich) was absolutely incredible. The flavor is unique and delicious. Skip the pita bread. I will go back to try more menu items!"

Was in the neighborhood today and thought that some good BBQ would be awesome. So, I motored over to Gracie's and was warmly greeted by the nice lady running the front of house. She took my order of a combo chicken and rib meal with cornbread and two sides. I got potato salad and coleslaw.I sat down and a few minutes later the nice lady brought my BBQ to me. That was super fast. Zoomed home with the sweet aroma of BBQ in the truck and it took will power to keep from gnawing on a rib. But I waited.Got home and fixed myself a plate, one rib, a chicken thigh and the sides. Took one bite out of the rib and it was dry as can be. Hmmm that's not like the Gracie's of old.Took a bite of chicken thigh and it was the same way. Dry. So dry I had to drink a lot of water to wash it down. Hmmmm. Sides were decent, but nothing to write home about. Didn't eat the cornbread because of probable wheat flour to which I'm allergic to. I get the feeling my BBQ had been sitting out for a long time or maybe it was smoked too long.Sigh. I really was looking forward to a good mess of 'Q."

Camie K. "I'm not sure how my husband discovered this hidden gem since it's located in a part we normally wouldn't travel to nor a part of Oakland to walk around leisurely. But hey we love a random discovery! We ordered our $39 ube pizza online and drove over. Luckily we snatched a spot right out in front! We must have misread on when the pizza was ready so when we showed up the kind folks (pizza chef and 1 staff) were profusely apologetic about the wait. There was 1 other customer waiting inside the restaurant but otherwise no one was dining in. Not wanting to loiter in the area, we decided to check out the nearby Ghost Town Brewery to have a drink instead (highly recommend).Interestingly you can order 1/2 orders of pizza, though sadly you couldn't do that with the ube pizza- otherwise would have loved to sample other flavors. After finishing imbibing our delicious beers at Ghost Town we circled back to Spinning Dough. They recognized me immediately and handed me with a giant box of pizza, thanking me for the wait. The smell of our pizza was so tantalizing we almost pulled over to take a bite. And let me tell you that ube sausage ricotta red onion pizza is SO worth the wait. Every bite was addictingly savory. My husband easily gulped gown 3 or 4 slices! I ate 2 slices and had the remaining 2 as my next day lunch, and yes they were still just as magical. I also appreciate that the thin crust was very crispy.I will definitely try out other flavors next time!"

We came in early, and I would recommend checking their hours and doing the same; as we were seated, we could see numerous groups of people coming and after being put on a list, waiting outside. The great things about having a baby in tow, we're early to breakfast/brunch spots. The wait staff is amazing ~ from coffee top-offs to check-ins, we felt all the love. We ordered the Pancake Special with scrambled eggs, sausage, and a side of home fries/potatoes, and the Workers Special that comes with homemade biscuits and gravy, a choice of bacon or sausage (or half and half), and eggs. Wowee, what a hearty meal! Everything was delicious. Well cooked, flavorful, and honestly felt like home. The pancakes have a sweet cream batter that just melts in your mouth..would come back for those alone!Looking forward to trying more from the menu if coming for brunch, and also fun fact, they do catering as well! We will be back soon, thank you for such a wonderful experience for us early risers!"

Martin O. "This is my favorite burrito in the world.Let me start by saying that I try to travel all over the Mexican world--there is no other name for this geographical region, that spans from East Texas to Northern California to Chiapas. New Spain? I have favorite food items and restaurants in amazing meccas like Mexico City, Santa Fe, Los Angeles, Sonoma. While La Burrita is casual in ambience, the food is stellar. The boiled chicken wins (Take that, Claude Levi-Strauss!). Moist and almost earthy in flavor, it pairs perfectly with the plum pinto beans and the pillowy tortilla (you may need to read my other posts, which are beginning to spell out a burrito typology). But the jalapeno salsa is simply the best I have ever had, rivaled by a mole I once consumed in Oaxaca City. Tart and spicy, the salsa acts as the perfect counterpoint to the warm and welcoming home flavors of the wrap.Other things I like about this place are the ability for the customer to order different sizes of burrito with different levels of decadence and different prices. This is my 30th anniversary of visiting La Burrita...and some of the employees have been working there as long as I have been eating there. Treat yourself.-MPS This is a business owned by a lovely local family whom I have gotten to know."

Koko M. "I've ordered from this restaurant a few times now, never disappointing and always filling. Usually get 2 + meals out of an order when ordering for myself. My favorite would be the ginger lemonade, tastes made from scratch or at least there seems to be a lot of fresh ginger soaked into it without a bunch of ginger tidbits floating around and getting in the way.Veggie broth has a good flavor and love getting a batch too good for my own noodles at home, so maybe I get 3 meals out of an order! Veggie egg rolls are good as well and come packed with lots of additional veggie sides, fantastic snack. Steamed broccoli and bok choy are great solo out added to a soup. The garlic noodles were probably my least favorite. There was a lot of added stuff to it which made it more like a garlic chow mein than a straight up garlic noodles to my taste buds. Wouldn't order that one again without changes. All in all there is something for everyone on the menu and you can get creative if you think ahead for a few meals as well or combine things in from your pantry!"

Mortiche W. "This place is a sleeper. Surprisingly good fresh and sustainable seafood fare located at a picturesque location. My kid introduced me to Seabreeze on the Dock, not the other way around! They have a terrific palate and told me the tuna steak sandwich was really good. I wasn't sure whether to believe the judgement of a person who hasn't been to many dining establishments in their less than 21 years on this earth, but I always give my kid AND a business the benefit of the doubt, and go in with an open mind. I was glad I trusted them. Their sandwich was terrific, cooked to order, accurately too. Succulent moist tuna, nicely seared on the surface, still pink in the middle. No fishy odor (all three times they've ordered it), I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Hawaiian style shrimp bowl, which was a nice change from the bready/fried options. with plenty of plump shrimp. Though the sauce overwhelmed the dish (really salty, and way too much of if it), it was a nice mix of savory, sweet, and pungent, and I will get sauce on the side next time I order it. The only thing I wish they had was a side of veggies (steamed or stir fried) as a big bowl of saucy seafood and steamed rice begs for something fresh to accompany it- at least for me! The third visit, I ordered the oyster po'boy, and it's another solid meal. I got it with a side of sweet potato fries (my kid got the regular fries) and all the fried items were cooked in fresh, clean oil. No black motor oil that tastes stale or like it's been around for 2+months, and the oysters were cooked perfectly - not dried out little nuggets of sadness. Briny, rich, crisp edged with creamy interiors, I haven't had fried oysters in years (partners and kid weren't fond of them) and was super happy to finally enjoy this long-verboten dish. Seabreeze On The Dock, I'm worried you're gonna be my newest guilty/healthy pleasure!"

For our honeymoon we traveled to Chiang Mai in Thailand and Tanzie's is inspired by cuisine from this region ~ to say this place was one of the most special locations we've ever been in our life is an understatement, so I was happy with the opportunity to brunch here. Our server was so sweet and helped guide us through the menu ~ we ordered the most delicious iced mango matcha and iced strawberry makrut matcha (also available in an orange, so yummy). They were beautiful and gone too fast! Next were the Khanom Krok (coconut cakes) that resemble a sliced egg with toppings including sweet corn, green onion, and yam. The perfect hybrid of sweet and savory. For the mains I tried the Sai Oua ~ pork or chicken Chiang Mai style sausage with lava eggs over choice of brown/white rice and what I believed to be a chili paste. Honestly..heavenly. The eggs were soft scrambled and resembled a rose bud. Glorious all around!Looks like Tanzie's may be closed on specific days, while offering brunch and now dinner on specific days as well, so def check the hours.
