Super crunch to the crust. Unbelievably good. Had to wait an over hour though. Told by other neighbors its best to call ahead to order on weekends. Definitely worth the wait. I removed one star for having to wait 85 minutes for our pizza, which is three times the normal wait. If I didnt love this place so much, that would definitely be a deal breaker for me. What can be done to improve the wait times???"

Bell peppers. They charged $1 for each extra topping. The pizza was loaded with veggies on a thin but tender crust.- veggie primavera pasta - 5/5 - we swapped the sauce from creamy white to vodka sauce for an extra charge and it was totally worth it. Bomb pasta and heavy/ huge portion size. Good to share!- garlic bread with cheese - 4/5 - huge portion and good quality cheese. I wish they added some herbs/ etc too on it to add a kick- complimentary sour dough rolls 5/5 are served on request. "I can't even begin to tell you how depressing it is to come here for a couple slices of pizza alone (the pizza always slaps so I never feel bad about that).It's been relatively lonely since I moved here and I've had pizza more times that I'd like to admit due to the social nature of the dish. But, oh my god was it weird to just bike up, lock up, walk in, order two slices for like $9, then eat it alone on the patio outdoors in sunny norcal with my backpack still on. "My first time back at Honor Kitchen since they reopened after the pandemic. I came in expecting a solid meal, but they took my expectations, deep-fried them, and drizzled them with deliciousness.I ordered the chicken and waffles. In turn, they ordered my taste buds to the culinary dance floor. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and nomtastic.My friend had the huevos rancheros, and from the way she was aggressively defending her plate, I assume they were also fire. Speaking of my friend, it was her birthday. Honor Kitchen came through with a next-level bread pudding with plantain and even included a birthday card signed by the staff. That definitely earned me some free brownie--I mean bread pudding--points. :-)Service was solid. The restaurant is beautiful. Apparently, the speakeasy bar in the back is open till midnight? It's a great late-night date idea.If you're in Emeryville and NOT eating here, my condolences!"

"I've always passed by here to Hmart but never visited. One parent had organized a team basketball dinner here and I was surprised. Clean, decent seating, draft beer and wine. "I'm not sure how my husband discovered this hidden gem since it's located in a part we normally wouldn't travel to nor a part of Oakland to walk around leisurely. But hey we love a random discovery!We ordered our $39 ube pizza online and drove over. Luckily we snatched a spot right out in front! We must have misread on when the pizza was ready so when we showed up the kind folks (pizza chef and 1 staff) were profusely apologetic about the wait. There was 1 other customer waiting inside the restaurant but otherwise no one was dining in. Not wanting to loiter in the area, we decided to check out the nearby Ghost Town Brewery to have a drink instead (highly recommend).Interestingly you can order 1/2 orders of pizza, though sadly you couldn't do that with the ube pizza- otherwise would have loved to sample other flavors.After finishing imbibing our delicious beers at Ghost Town we circled back to Spinning Dough. They recognized me immediately and handed me with a giant box of pizza, thanking me for the wait. The smell of our pizza was so tantalizing we almost pulled over to take a bite. And let me tell you that ube sausage ricotta red onion pizza is SO worth the wait. Every bite was addictingly savory. My husband easily gulped gown 3 or 4 slices! I ate 2 slices and had the remaining 2 as my next day lunch, and yes they were still just as magical. I also appreciate that the thin crust was very crispy.I will definitely try out other flavors next time!"

Seems like a great place for locals. Food was ok. Nothing great, nothing awful. Worst part was the seafood in the pasta dish was over cooked and considering it was $47 made it not worth it. Pizza was nice and crispy as requested. Calamari was perfectly cooked and side salad was a good portion and quality. Best thing was the free bread which was baked perfectly, fluffy and perfect for the pastas or oil/balsamic dip they provided. Would stop by for a pizza slice, probably wouldn't come back for a sit down dinner."

"Another update as it's been a couple years since. Falafel Corner has changed its name to Falafel Fremont. Same people, same place just different name. No more check in for a free baklava but that's ok, it was just a nice little perk.The parking here is always hit or miss as depending on the peak eating times can be challenging with Kakuna Sushi nearby and now Dope Pho. Recently we actually had to park in the middle section instead of right in front, but that's okay. There are still spaces. They can get a bit busy at which times, they may not even pick up the phone which can be frustrating. We did come after not being able to reach them over the phone and saw that there were large groups waiting for their food and so we ended up going somewhere else.Inside is pretty spacious with tables.We have yet to try their pizzas and we've been meaning to. Their gyro meat is just too salty and oily for me for some reason so I avoid it as well as falafels. What we do come here for is the burgers. It's always a place we come back for the burgers. The fries can be hit or miss, sometimes we switch it up for the curly ones.Just drop by, try them out and perhaps I'll eventually try their pizzas."

"Amidst the East Bay's (surprisingly) standout pizza scene (Rose, Pizzaiolo, Lucia, Cheeseboard) Emilia's stands out. Evoking New York's finest, the pizza is low frills (with limited toppings) and makes its impression through the quality of its ingredients. The dough and the sauce particularly stand out. The former is chewy - like a Neapolitan - but with more resistance. There is enough of a underbelly char that the pizza has a slight crisp, yet it's not brittle or hard like a cracker. The sauce is tangy and fresh, I wish I knew which tomatoes they use! There is the perfect amount of cheese: you taste it's presence, yet the takeout box dodged the typical oil stains. My buddy and I felt limber and light after splitting this pizza! (That's not to say we weren't satiated, but just not utterly defeated). We got the Calabrian hot sauce, which was fantastic and simple. I do wish there was more basil, but that's just a personal preference, not a sine qua non. I would recommend this place highly!"

Everyone raved about their dishes. Lo Coco has been at the Berkeley location 41 years!!! Only thing you should be aware of is they don't take reservations unless your party is 6 or more. We arrived at 5:30 on a Sunday and the place was full and stayed full."

"We got here just before 8pm on a Tuesday and it was packed! But we were still able to get seated right away. The dining area is really just one big room, with the open kitchen visible in the back of the room. Service was friendly and attentive. They do have some outdoor seating on their patio, where dogs are allowed. My husband and I each ordered our own pizzas. I do recommend getting the ranch add-on. The yeast makes it so flavorful! The interior was very cozy and festive for the holidays."

"We always enjoy going to Fibbars, and even moreso today on their 30th birthday party. The menu was limited--wisely based on the crowd size--but there were still plenty of food options, including the Irish standards. We shared the shepherd's pie and, because we were concerned that the pie wouldn't be big enough for two, we ordered the corned beef fries starter. We needn't have worried. The pie was plenty big, but the fries were so good we ate those as well. Our friend had the fish and chips and pronounced it as good as always. The beer selection at Fibbars is always good with several options of many varieties including ipas, dale's, loggers, pilsner's, stouts, and sours and fruited beer. Not to mention ciders. Most of the beers stay the same, but they introduce new ones frequently enough to make it interesting. My wife had a Pliny, which she always enjoys and I had a Mango Cart wheat beer. It was delicious as always. Our friend had the nitro red stout, which was very tasty and something I might get next time we go.Last but not least, the service is always friendly and helpful."

But I don't know if they believed us because 1. this is a vegetarian pizza spot or 2. because they didn't want to make the drive to Fremont. Walking into the restaurant, it's nice! Large windows, plenty of tables (some outside), and even booths (you gotta have luck to get one of those). The service here is great. They were so patient with us while we were trying to decide. They have daily specials that you can even buy by the slice. The first time we went, we shared an elote pizza. SO GOOD. I dream about this pizza. I rave about this pizza. The dough is nice with enough chew. The pizza toppings make you not miss meat and the flavors are exquisite! The second time we went, we got half potato pizza and half mushroom. The potato pizza I enjoyed. The rosemary was a nice addition to the pizza. My husband said the mushroom pizza was good, but he was expecting a little more *something*. We also ordered the corn and waffle fries. I felt the corn was missing flavors. The waffle fries, although crunchy, were very salty. We really do like their green sauce for the pizza!"

"The Benicia Napoli will be my new go to for pizza delivery! The online menu was very easy to navigate. We ordered a medium Hawaiian, a cousin Vinny's calzone, cheesecake, and tortellini. Total after delivery and tip came out to around $70. This would be enough for 4-5 people. Delivery fee is only $1.75. Forget DoorDash! The pasta comes with your choice of sauce. I didnt see the options listed. I got a call pretty soon after putting on my order to clarify that. They offer red, pesto, or meat sauce. No white sauce for the pastas. The Hawaiian pizza was packed with toppings. They did not skimp out. Each bite had ham and pineapple. The calzone was also large. Larger than the size of my hand. It came with a side cup of marinara sauce. Also packed with meat. The pasta was also hearty and fresh. It's tasty food that's affordable and local. Why go to the big chain pizza place when Napoli's is an option?"
