"The interior is a little sparse and not too comfy with high tables and barstool height seating, but it is clean with self service water to the side. The staff are very friendly and ready to assist or answer questions. The Gyro wrap was a big hit with us, perfectly spiced meat and toppings and the wrap itself was spot on. We also ordered the Falafel wrap which was less successful just because the Falafel does not really fit in the wrap - it would need to be smaller. But that said the Falafel is really good and they make them to order so they come out perfectly crispy and hot. My suggestion would be to order a non-Falafel wrap and get the Falafel on the side (like you would fries). We also got a little taste of the Baklava and they can definitely brag about that dessert - so good!"
"What a beautiful space and place to celebrate another year around the sun. With a parking garage across the street, you may think this is just a hotel, but Zino is Hotel Shattuck's best kept secret. Service was attentive and the menu was divine for lunch serving Mediterranean fare. Starting with the Trio of Spreads (Muhammara, Labneh, Charred Eggplant & Garbanzo) and fresh/warm pita to dip. Delicious! The Heirloom Tomato & Peach Salad, Little Gem Salad, and the Mediterranean Flatbread were our mains and every bite was so fresh and left me wanting to try more of the menu. Presentation, flavor, and quality were all there. Dessert was something I actually never had ~ chocolate crème brûlée..perfection! Would loveto come back for weekend brunch, happy hour, or even dinner because the bar is incredible and placed in the center of restaurant just waiting for a good time!Well done, chef! We will be back."

"Date: 4/18/2024 Time: 4:00 PM 63° SunnyAfter visiting the Kaiser lab for blood work being done, I stopped in at Hummus Republic, which is a few doors away. I have seen their ad on the FB website. The food looked yummy. It's check in and check it out. My first time here. It took me a while to peruse the menu and decide what I want in the bowl. The choices are great from what I see on display. The male employee guided me along with my selection. The bowl starts with a base, three scoops of hummus, protein, unlimited sides of veggies and finally the dressing. My bowl was filled with Mediterranean couscous, spinach, three hummus, four falafel, veggies and traditional tahini dressing. I also added two dolmaes (additional $1.00) Make it to go, please. Cost with tax and tip included was $18.Menu is posted on the window before going in to the business. Laminated menus are available at the counter to review. There is also a menu board on the wall.I was excited to get the bowl with falafel that I forgot to ask for beets. Okay a return trip is necessary to get their strawberry lychee beverage and another bowl. What I ate was so delicious that I almost forgot to take a photo. (Senior moment. LOL, meaning Little Old Lady Laughing Out Loud)."
"Had a great time here for my friend's birthday dinner! Food was phenomenal. Highly recommend the chicken marsala-- filling but not too heavy! Ambience was great, not too loud inside and they gave us a free appetizer and dessert (yummy baklava). Friendly service. Would definitely come here again!"
"My friend Erin L. and I had dinner plans on a Monday night. The place we originally wanted to go to ended up being closed, so I'm grateful we found this place on Yelp.We shared one appetizer and two entrees. The beets salad was refreshing and delicious. I liked the nuttiness flavor. For our entrees, we got the lamb kebab and chicken kebab. The lamb kebab was amazing. The meat was very tender and not gamy at all. I'm not sure what they put in the rice, but it was so tasty. The chicken kebab was a bit overdone and not as tender as I hoped for, but still good. We loved our food, and finished every last bite. Portions were a bit smaller than I expected. I wanted more kebabs!!Service was good. We were indecisive with our two entrees so I'm appreciative that our server helped us decide. The interior is cute and quaint.Would go back for the lamb kebab :)"
"This is based on my first visit to the *new* Cetrella since they changed locations, moving from the corner of Main and First to the State Street market. There is a new chef and overall I think the food is even better than before. The pate is more of a mousse but very good, as was the vichysoisse, and the burrata (with plenty of salad that came with it). The steaks were very good and the salmon made my mother-in-law (a tough customer) ecstatic. The basque cake (roughly a cheesecake) was very good as was the sorbet. So, net, on the food -- it's even better than before though I do miss a few of the old menu items (e.g., the mussels, beignets, and the simply-grilled mains). The service was and is remains wonderful. The owner gets to know his guests and takes care of them. The servers were and are amazing. The ambiance is different, it's a bit more compact, the tables are a bit closer together, the noise level is similar. So at the first order, I'd say different. At the second order, I'd say better -- i.e., it's lighter and a bit more modern and I can't wait for the Spring/Summer when they can use lovely patio area.Overall a great visit."
"Turkish DelightFormerly located at the Bowers Plaza on El Camino, Garlic Mediterranean has been serving up Turkish food since 2016. They've been in these current digs for ±2 years and are one of the few restaurants serving up legit Turkish cuisine in the South Bay.The Good:*Friendly service*Fast-casual order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. *In the same strip mall as Stan's Donuts (IYKYK)*Large shared parking lot*Clean, modern décor and I'm a fan of their branding. *Pricing is well in-line with portion size*They actually have their meat on a vertical rotisserie (aka spit) which doesn't seem like much, but to me this is an important sign, to me at least. *Saw reviews mentioning the Ayran (aka "yoghurt drink") and I decided to give it a whirl. It's only three ingredients: yogurt, water, and salt, but the taste was actually quite refreshing.*Carissa enjoyed her Greek salad with added chicken Gyro meat, and actually had a hard time finishing it. Luckily I'm always around to clean her plate. *oink oink* :8)*I'd never seen or heard of an Iskender Kebab before, but after the lady at the counter informed me of what it was, I knew I had to try it. It's their combo lamb-beef dönner meat served over pita and topped with a tomato sauce and served with a heaping helping of yogurt. This dish was stupendous! The meat was juicy and flavorful and the tomato sauce was earthy and sweet, the perfect foil for the unctuos meat. But, I'll have to say, my favorite part was the yogurt that brought everything together into one harmonious bite. The Meh:*Standard two-top outdoor seating. Nothing really special but it gets the job done. The Ugly:*This is huge pet peeve of mine, but I really don't like when they put olives with pits in them in salads. #1 it makes no sense and #2 they're opening themselves up to a customer busting their teeth biting into one. Ask me how I know it's possible. 0_o Conclusion: Fantastic Turkish food at a great price point in a pleasant and relaxing environment."
"Absolutely spot on! I chose Meyhouse for a team holiday lunch on a recommendation from another co-worker. What an exceptional experience. I truly mean EXCEPTIONAL! So good I fact that I didn't take any food pics because I was to busy devouring all the food! Loved the decor and the open concept. Huge bar that runs the length of the restaurant and I noticed a cute dining area upstairs in a loft like setting. My only issue was the beautiful high ceilings caused the noise level to be pretty high so if you visit in hopes of a quiet romantic setting, this probably isn't it. Service was flawless! I felt like we had 2 if not 3 weight staff taken care of us at all times. One of our guests got up to use the restroom and placed his napkin on the table. The server came right over, folded his napkin and placed it neatly on the back of his chair. That's great service. As for the food ... outstanding! Absolutely everything was not only tasty but presented beautifully. We ordered 4 different appetizers and each one was mouthwatering. Since I didn't order, I'm not sure what each dish I was called. My favorite though was a yogurt topped with eggplant and tomatoes served with this AMAZING bread. I could literally eat that and be happy. We all had different main dishes and desserts and every single one of us walked away saying how excellent everything was. Will I be back? Ten thousand percent!! 10 out of 10 for me!!"

"I wish I was closer to Agape Grill as I love their gyro plate. The only thing I didn't realize was now much garlic was in this plate and we all know....I'm garlic sensitive. But screw it! I popped a Pepsid and just suffered the consequences. And it was still delicious.Service is the same great service and we've never actually eaten in and always taken to-go.They have a tiny parking lot but it's okay we've never had issues finding parking."
"I discovered "Cal Gyros Mediterranean Cuisine" on Uber Eats. My wife and I were in North Oakland, near Berkeley, and wanted food delivered for a late-night dinner. Cal Gyros was featured near the top of the app, under the section "Healthy options to explore," based on our location and what was open at the time (a Thursday at 10:09pm). We were hungry and the menu and pictures of the food looked good enough to me.I ordered the following for us (descriptions from menu):* Lamb and Beef Gyros Sandwich ($14.95) - slow-cooked, thin-sliced, marinated lamb and beef gyros* Chicken Gyros Sandwich ($14.95) - slow-cooked, thin-sliced, marinated chicken* Cacik Appetizer ($8.95) - homemade yogurt with diced cucumbers, oregano, fresh dill and a hint of garlicAfter the cost of food ($38.85), I paid a $6.97 service fee, $3.99 tax, $2.00 for California driver benefits, and a $7.62 tip. The $0.99 delivery fee was waived because of a promotion. The total cost was $59.43. Roughly a third of that was due to Uber Eats. There were multiple delays. It took about an hour for the food to be delivered. To get to us from Cal Gyros was an 11-minute drive under usual traffic. I think the delay was with the restaurant and not caused by the driver because I saw the driver had to wait at the restaurant for an extended period of time. I know the driver has nothing to do with Cal Gyros, the business, but I just want to mention here that he (Axel) was super nice when handing off the order to me outside. As for the food itself, it was disappointing. The sandwiches (wraps) were filling, but that was about it. The quality of the ingredients wasn't great, especially the pita. The pita for the wraps was thin, hard, and bland. At least they were grilled. The cacik also came with pita. There were five, maybe six, Kronos-brand pita triangles in a Kronos bag. I think that pita may have been grilled too; it was hard for me to tell. The lamb, beef, and chicken gyros were flavorful enough, but they were far from the best gyros I've had from many similar hole-in-the-wall joints over the years. The Chicken Gyros Sandwich was very watery and messy to eat. The Lamb and Beef Gyros Sandwich was definitely the better of the two. I don't remember the other ingredients inside the wraps except for lettuce and perhaps onion and tomato. The cacik was fine. Cacik is the Turkish version of Greek tzatziki. Cal Gyro's cacik was cold, creamy, and refreshing. It was noticeably stronger tasting and more sour than tzatziki.Cal Gyros is located at Durant Center, colloquially referred to as the "Asian Ghetto," just south of UC Berkeley's main campus and surrounded by many of the school's buildings. It's one of several small restaurants, most of which are Asian, located in a U-shaped building with communal outdoor picnic-table seating in the middle. Some of the restaurants have their own dedicated seating inside, including Cal Gyros. The storefront sign says: "Best California Gyros."This place is open until 2am daily, so that's a plus."
"We had takeout from Oren's for a recent meeting, and wow--everything was delicious. The portions? Huge. Like, "this could feed a small village" huge.I tried the hummus with Moroccan beef, and it was insanely flavorful. Every bite was perfection. I probably ate way more than I should have, but honestly, how do you not when it's that good? Walking away wasn't an option. I was wishing I'd ordered extra pita, but simultaneously glad I didn't... because then I never would have stopped! If you love hummus, this place is a must. Just be prepared to accidentally eat an entire meal's worth before you even realize what's happening."

Montclair has a new falafel spot and it has been buzzing since they opened last week. The location has a very simple menu that is anchored by falafel and chicken that can be prepared in a number of different ways (wrap, gyro, platter). They also have a number of side options to pair with your entree if you're feeling hungry. Everything here is reasonably priced, even for Montclair, so that was welcomed to see (one entree and a side will keep you under $20)With any new opening, there's definitely going to be some hiccups. This place is still figuring out some other kinks in terms of taking orders and filling them correctly. However, the manager on staff was really kind and patient about it and more than willing to serve the customers to make sure the orders were filled correctly. With time I believe they'll figure this out.The falafel is really good. I ordered the falafel wrap and the badmash fries. The pita was cold, and filled with an abundance of lettuce. The falafel was served warm, and probably the best part about this. I didn't care too much for the wrap. I wish it would've been toasted or warmed to match the consistency of the falafel. It also was lacking a little bit of flavor so you might want to add hot sauce to it to give it a little bit more punch. The side of fries was pretty abundant and had good flavor. Next time I would probably just order a side of falafel and maybe the fries to add them in and create a combination plate and that would be a significant amount of food right there.Overall, I would give it a shot because you're not going to get hit over the head with pricing as some of the other competing restaurants in the area might do. There might be some gems on the menu that I haven't explored yet.

Celebrated my nephew's high school graduation last month. My sister picked the spot and it was a good spot. It is a classy-looking joint in a hotel. I'll skip to the chase: everything we ordered was good. It was first time so I let others drive. No problem there because it was a fun ride. Our server was attentive and helpful--a plus with my family. We tend to take a long time ordering and ask a lot of questions. He was patient and knowledgeable. He also advised us our order was more than enough to feed our hungry party of seven, even though it didn't seem like it. He was correct.Okay, now for your viewing pleasure.

Oh my goodness!I was sooooo surprised when I tasted my salad/bowl; it was delicious! The way you pick a bowl or wrap, protein( chicken; steak; vegan steak; mushroom mix), sauces( up to three, I.r., feta mix, different hummus's, and others ), and then toppings galore- more veggies and crispy toppings like spicy crisp garbanzo beans(YUM!)Your bowl or wrap has a base of salad greens, kale, spinach, couscous, and salted garbanzo beans. I mean it was very easy to put together a healthy lunch. They also have fresh dropped mini samosas and pita chips that were amazing. If you like a little spice then add the garlic jalapeño sauce and the Moroccan Hot sauce. The only drawback was that it was FREEZING in there. I need a comfortable temperature in the establishment so that I can enjoy my food but I solved that and sat outside so I survived that. The young man servicing us was pleasant and helpful.I think it will he my new lunch fav- easy! $15-20

Came in on a Sunday at around 1pm with a party of 2, and were seated immediately. The food here is fantastic! Hot, flavorful, and fresh. The highlight for me was actually the artichoke soup, which goes great with the complementary bread.Service was also another highlight. Our server was attentive and welcoming, and checked in with us twice during the entree.Great experience, 10/10 would recommend for groups, family and friends to catch up and hang out over a delicious meal.

Randomly picked this place, and so glad we did! It is a lil pricey but worth the tasty goodness! The interior is small but cute!Cigar Borek - 4/5 stars - the flavor is so delicious with that feta in the middle, the outside is not consistently crunchy like other ones I've tried (like the ends are nice and crunchy, but the middle is soft)Beets Salad - 10/5 stars - absolutely recommend this!!!!! It's so refreshing and full of flavor, the beets covered in that sauce is perfectionHallumi - 5/5 stars - I wasn't sure the proper way to eat these so I made little sandwiches with the pita and put a little of each thing then dip it all in the oil, it was perfect combination of cheese to refreshing cucumber to pitaOverall, you have to try the Beets Salad! But everything is delicious.

Only ever been here for work dinner so no food photos...The newish location is cozier than the previous one (positive) but the acoustics are such that it can be a little loud. as always, the staff is very nice -- attentive without being intrusive. They'll even banter with you if that's your thing. Salmon Gravlax: tender and nice flavor. Maybe a tad more of the trout caviar. I ate it all -- quickly. Burrata: with beets and cherry tomato. A runnier burrata rather than the firmer kind. If I'm quibbling, more beets. Truffle Polenta Cappelletti: this is a pleasant surprise. The polenta is stuffed into the cappelletti -- think a smallish tender gnocchi. The lamb meatballs were excellent. A smaller sized main compared to some of the other dishes. Glazed Short Rib: served with mash potato and spinach. Slow cooked as you'd expect. Solid dish and worth repeating. NY strip: gigantic portion. Expertly seasoned. Despite a Herculean effort, couldn't finish it. Even better the next morning with eggs. Tarta de queso vasca: what? A Basque cheesecake with vanilla bean ice cream. If you're not familiar, the basque version has a slightly burnt exterior that imparts a bittersweet note, while the texture is denser and firmer than the NYC version. This one is made expertly. There aren't many wines by the glass but a nice selection by the bottle. The Grotto margarita is almost too good. The food comes out at a Spanish pace. Relax and have a good conversation with your dining party.

New favorite spots to eat! I came in for my late lunch to get the chicken gyro plate. There were two or three workers on a Monday night, working their butts off to get everyone's order out in a timely fashion. I knew this place was good when I saw how busy they were. It wasn't long before my Togo order was brought out by the beautiful waitress. The restaurant looked clean and welcoming, not a huge space but big enough maybe able to accommodate 20-30ish people. The service was good. The food was excellent. The meat and rice were packed separately from the bread to prevent soaking I assume. The hummus was amazing! Served with a yogurt and spice sauce. The salad was good too. Total was with tip! Can't wait to be back with coworkers

After finding street parking, we made our way to the restaurant. It was quite packed and the seats are close together. The wait staff bumped into the empty chairs at our table twice. We were given a basket of bread with dip. I usually don't eat much bread, but it was crusty and soft. We started with the octopus and a beet salad. Both were excellent. The octopus was tender and I liked the added texture of pistachios in the salad. For my main, I went with the Adana- grounded lamb spare ribs that came with a side of tomato salad and rice. I just realized it was missing the grilled pepper... oh well. I liked how tender the meat was, but it was salty to me. It went well with the fluffy rice. I didn't care too much for the salad as it was savory. My bf had the Orfoz- pink grouper skewer with Meyhouse Greens. I enjoyed his fish more. The prices are on the high side, so it's not an everyday dinner place. We enjoyed our time overall though.

"ShaQ is a fusion restaurant! Mix between Turkish and Indian food. I've never had that combination before but I must admit it was very good. They had a variety of options on the menu ranging from wraps to platters, all at a very reasonable price.I ordered the chicken shawarma platter and it came with rice, chicken shawarma, hummus, greek salad, and a side of pita bread. For $14, this was much more food than I was expecting. Everything was very flavorful and went together very nicely. I could tell the pita was also freshly made. It was warm and soft. Definitely recommend if you're in the Santa Clara area!"
"I had a 2nd date with the guy that I'm currently seeing here as he raved about this place during our 1st date. The place was neat and clean. There wa was good music playing, and we both got the 3 birria tacos and he got a Coke while I got the Horchata. The food was very yummy. The Horchata was perfectly sweet. The time with him was fun and lovely. He also got us churros so that was a sweet treat. I definitely would come here again if I happen to be in the area. :)"
"I ordered a large takeout order for a picnic - several dips and skewers. Note that there is a pretty decent wait time on the order (but that means it's all fresh). In fact, there was one item they felt was past its peak and they offered to remake it (would have taken another 20 minutes) but since I didn't have the time, I just ordered something else. The wait staff was so kind in providing me a snack of pita and yogurt dip while I waited. Everything was very delicious, but the falafel were not my favorite. Highly recommend the dips and pita. The chicken and beef skewers were enjoyed by the others at the picnic but I didn't try them (since I'm vegetarian)."
"Came here for a team lunch and I was a little worried because I am gluten free and have a co-worker who is a vegetarianWhen it was time to order I asked the staff what I could eat and they offered the Cevapi, no bread and salad instead - it was wonderful!! the sausage were yummy, the salad was fresh and lightly dressed, the sausage was super tasty with the sausages. My co-worker was able to order the Burek - spinach and cheese - and said it was really tasty, light and flakeyDefinitely swing by and give this place a try!"
"I had a chance to try Xenia after seeing it on Uber Eats and got to try their Chicken Shawarma bowl. This is located in a ghost kitchen so there are different types of food you can order here on a touch screen and then someone puts it in a cubby where you go pick it up. The ambiance here is very minimal and no chairs or tables to eat - hence expect to eat pickup only.Overall the bowl was pretty good - it came with sweet potatoes, broccoli, corn salad and lots of other goodies. The chicken was well seasoned and went well with the sauce and the red pepper hummus which was really yum. Overall, good food and good portion!"
"Genuine and really good. A must go. Went there with a customer. Ordered the appetizer plate. Every one of the items was excellent. The chicken kabobs were awesome. Try it"
"The Mansaf and the Mandi are harder to find dishes in the bay area even for middle eastern restaurants. They have all the kebabs n stuff as well, but I recommend checking out the other dishes first since you can get kebabs/wraps anywhere.Overall, generally enjoyed my food and will probably try some of their other items next time"
"Palms Mediterranean opens where an Indian eatery was. the seating infrastructure remains basically the same the past few businesses.i entered. seeing only an older gentleman at the counter. the place had no decor, no ambience still being renovated. the following dialogs ensued. not exact words, a gistme: "do you have dine in?"him: "we don't have Chinese food"me: "i mean, is there eating in?"him: "what do you want?"me: "Chicken plate"him: "do you want it to go or eat here?"me: "here"laterhim: "what do you want to drink?"me: "water"he brings cup of ice and bottle of distilled waterme: "are you charging me for this water?"him: implies yesme: "i'm not paying for bottled water"he takes it away, brings a pitcher full of water with ice cubes.me: "are you bringing me Chicken Shawarma Plate?"him: "BBQ Chicken with rice"me thinking: huh? how can the order get screwed up? didn't say anything. waited to see what happens. heard noises in kitchen before. sounds like he's prepping the order in the kitchen too. offerings: Mediterranean: primarily Iranian & Turkish (appetizers, kabobs, seafood, vegetarian, dessert), hamburger, pizza, italian, gyro, tacos, nachos, frieseats: Chicken Barreh (23) Iranian version of Kabob grilled over charcoal with meat on a skewer with a side of salad. chicken pieces previously marinated with yogurt?, spices. literally melt in one's mouth, very tender. no accompanying dip. didn't need it. chicken definitely fresh, not frozen, very juicy. *tastes vastly better than the usual Afghan chicken kebab which has a green dipping sauce. -yummy roasted tomato.-a big plateful of tasty, fluffy. fresh basmatic rice-lettuce salad with creamy white sauce, tomatos, olives, white/red onio-fresh, deliz...take outs:-menu in house slightly different from one posted online/at door. both don't state what each entrees has. i.e. some kabobs have salad. also doesn't mention Med. food is Iranian. dish name posted with no explaining. *menu needs to identify what comes with entree. -usual service protocols not utilized. could have lead to misunderstandings.-their big events are on weekends during big social gatherings with hundreds of people....weekdays are small change for them.*4.5 stars food is great. servicing/ordering awkward. glad it turned out well. more transparency needed so misunderstandings don't occur."
"Came here 3/20/2024 for dinner. We decided to sit outside since it wasn't too cold and there was fire so it was cozy. The owner was extremely nice and welcoming. I believe he went to all the tables to talk to the customers, overall a friendly guy. Apparently, he's never been sick and works in the restaurant almost every day. Hey, I mean great staying healthy and strong!! The other workers were also very nice and provided excellent service. I ordered the Dijon Crusted Salmon ($34)The salmon was not dry and it was lightly covered in sweet Dijon Mustered. I like it a lot but I realize I like my salmon with lemon more. The veggies and mashed potatoes were perfect, wouldn't change a thing. French Vanilla Bean Gelato Single ($5) The owner told me it was going to be the best vanilla bean gelato I've ever had and hey it was delicious. I wished I had more, but I was too full from the salmon dinner. Overall, great dining experience, and the outdoor seating was a change of setting. Time to plan my next visit!"
"I really love this place. I've been coming here for years, and I actually haven't tried any other Mediterranean restaurants because I don't want to be disappointed when I know Mediterranean Grill House is excellent! I always get the chicken schwarma plate with the cucumber salad and hummus. I love all of it, and really love mixing the hummus with the chicken and rice. It comes with a yogurt dressing that is fabulous. This is a family-owned business and they've lost a lot of customers since work-from-home policies were instituted and the local businesses moved away from Mountain View. I would love to see Mediterranean Grill House thrive because the owner and his family are great people who simply love to share authentic mediterranean food with the people of Mountain View. They are kind, courteous, and thoughtful every time I come in and I've yet to be disappointed by any part of my experience there.I do know they cater a lot and they're very good at it! They also host meetups and they have a good space for it, so if you're looking for a place for a meet-up, consider this!"
"Beautiful ambiance, delicious food. All the appetizers on the mezze platter were delicious- the hummus, baba ganoush, eggplant salad. The beef kebab was so so good- perfectly cooked, not too chewy. The servers were quick and kind, the restaurant itself was beautiful"
"Location: parking is hard but that's everywhere in Berkeley.Great tasting food and price is reasonable! Must have: Grilled Chicken, chicken Shawarma and Baklava!!! They are fast and pleasant. Khalid ka welcoming and honest. Place is small, but they have a good backyard seating."
"I'm obsessed with Kali Greek! I constantly crave their rice plates because the flavors of their rice, chicken, beef, and lamb are so deliciously and made with high quality ingredients. The rice alone is something I could never get tired of. Fluffy, buttery rice with roasted orzo and chickpeas expels this amazing aroma. This is the tastiest rice I've ever had. This with the juiciest seasoned chicken skewer and creamy dill sauce creates the perfect bite. I also love the beef kebab, it's seasoned perfectly with a blend of savory spices. Aside from their entrees, they also have incredible desserts. The frozen Greek yogurt on the menu caught my eye before anything else and I wanted to try all of their different toppings! The nice thing is that you can customize it to your liking! I tried the honey with candied walnuts one and added cherries. If you like tart froyo, this is incredible. Other desserts are the baklava, which is flaky yet chewy, and loukoumades, which are a must try! These mini donuts are covered in a honey syrup and crumbled walnut topping. Kali Greek is on California Ave with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are two contactless ordering kiosks, grab a table number, find a table, and the food will arrive at your table. The staff and owners are super friendly and welcoming."
"Absolutely fresh ingredients, I still wanted an extra shrimp bowl for my self however I was full.Service is fast and friendly, owner is there to comfort you. The selection of wine and liquor were fantastic. I ordered dry sparkling wine. "A friend and her husband took me there after she and I climbed at Pacific Pipe. I had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was delicious. It was also huge so I was able to take half home for dinner. She had their beef brisket sandwich that looked very good. He had a bowl of soup which he thoroughly enjoyed and he also had half her sandwich.I got an Americano Turkish coffee, chocolate pistachio baklava and a sesame cookie for dessert. The chocolate baklava wasn't quite as chocolate as I would have liked but it was still very good. The coffee was perfect.I will definitely return."
"Tasty grilled veggie sandwich. Fast and friendly service - I placed my order over the phone. Easy parking."
"We did takeout from GrubHub so I can't speak to what the restaurant atmosphere is like. But I can speak to the food! (and since our food was delivered quickly, I believe the staff are on top of takeout orders, so I consider that smart service)Really enjoyed the shirazi salad. We split a lamb kabob plate and I got an additional beef kabob skewer. Plates come with a lot of basmati rice and a large vegetable skewer which had onion, zucchini, and yellow bell pepper. Veg had a lovely char. Onion sections weren't quite cooked enough, but I enjoyed it. Beef kabob was not on a stick and was mostly cut through in bite sized portions. It was very tasty. Lamb pieces were on a skewer with limb slices. Lamb was out of this world delicious. There was also a grilled tomato, sauce, and some strips that were like pita. I don't remember what the menu called them. We would definitely order again. And I'd like to try other things!"
"I have eaten at so many Mediterranean restaurants. When I'm sick of tacos, pizza, and burgers it's my go to for a healthier lunch option.Mediterranean Weaps is my favorite among the dozens of middle eastern restaurants I have eaten at. The falafel is perfect - crispy on the outside, nicely cooked on the inside and just the right spice. The chicken schwarma is always cooked deliciously. The sandwiches wrapped in a tortilla like flatbread that is grilled with a tiny hint of burn that gives the sandwich an additional flavor that is completely welcome. For two bucks more add potato and eggplant. The service is quick and efficient. Sometimes they will give you a little something extra - a falafel ball or small cup of sweet tea.The restaurant is clean and nice enough for a place that was probably opened a couple of decades ago.If you're anywhere near Palo Also, check out this place!"
"Came for dinner around 730PM on a Thursday. About 1/4 of the restaurant tables were occupied when we arrived, and never got super busy for the 3 hrs we were there.I believe the wait staff was trying to be polite and not interrupt our conversation but I had to get her attention to order, and get a to-go box and the check.Food was good but entrees seemed to take a while, ~20+ min? Overall pretty good except the music, and especially the happy birthday music (there were 3 that night) was SO loud. It was challenging to hear someone talking sitting right across from me."
"I ordered a gyro. Filling is plentiful. Chicken wasn't dry like the other chain. I asked for the dressing on the side so I can put the amount I want. Their fries are good. Nice and crispy. Restaurant is clean. Food came out fast"
"Always delicious!! Picture speaks for itself, everything cooked to succulent juicy perfection, these ppl know what they're doing with their cuisine. Great customer service on top of quality food is the bonus. Give them a try!"
"Great for Uber eats pretty fast included the delicious red sauce, but didn't include the feta. I asked for still good.!"
"Great service - ?owner always so friendly even when it's so incredibly busy. They now take credit card (woot) but that also means they're busier so be patient and wait!We got complementary lentil soup and baklava and they really just round out the meal. A year since my last review and we still loved everything about this place!"
