"Unexpected little gem of a place. I have to admit I judged a book by its cover and this time I was supremely wrong. When we arrived to stay at a near by place for a few days I saw this place and while it was crowded I overlooked it. I wrongly assumed it was busy because of its proximity to hotels and attractions, not because of their food or service. I was wrong on both accounts. Caney Fork is busy because they are good. We came here on our last night of our honeymoon to get some food after being out all day. The day before we had gone to their attached ice cream place and found that they were both family owned and since the restaurant offered wild game meat my husband was super interested in trying it. We came here before 5 on a Sunday so it wasn't packed with people and were greeted and seated super fast. Our server Red was awesome. He was personable and knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. We got the wild game platter and also the surf and turf. The wild game platter had fried gator, Cajun frog legs, elk patties and, wild game sausage along with their outfitter stew. The gator wasn't tough it was fried perfectly and had great flavor. The frog legs were tender and flavorful. The patties were a little dry but I imagine that in a burger they would be amazing and paired with the bbq sauce that came with them took any dryness away. The sausage was bursting with flavor and the stew reminded me of an Irish beef stew or a nice hearty winter stew. The surf and turf had an 8oz sirloin that was perfectly cooked and juicy. The shrimp was bbq grilled and bursting with flavor. The sides were had were the campfire potatoes that had a great crunch and the onions only complimented the flavor. And the deep fried cheese curds were not overly greasy and had the perfect melted consistency. It was a fun dining experience. The restaurant is done amazingly with tons of fun things to see and to discover. The waterfall lake with fish were fun to be seated by and provided their own entertainment. Like I said before Red our server was awesome. Fun and funny and made it more of an experience. He wanted us to enjoy everything which is what exactly happened. Next time I am in the area I will definitely be back for the food and also the service. Check this place out for something fun for the family or a date or just for good food."

"We had never been to Firebirds before so we didn't know what to expect. So I decided to take my wife to Firebirds. Parking:The parking was absolutely horrible I wish there were dedicated spots specifically for this restaurant because it's connected with other business, BUT I have to be clear even though the parking sucked this does not take away the experience we had nor does it take away the five stars I'm giving it. Atmosphere When you walk in the lights were deemed which I absolutely loved. This gives off the ultimate Valentines Day Experience in my opinion. You could also smell the many different flavors of food they were preparing so my eye were wide open excited ready to look at the menu and taste one of the many different flavors I was smelling. Customer Service The customer service was absolutely amazing. Everyone was very friendly. FoodThe food I ordered was the Tomahawk Porkchop with fries. This food was absolutely amazing. At first the got my chop at medium well but they quickly resolved it by giving me another one. They apologized about it. I informed them that it wasn't a big deal because I understood they were extremely busy. This wasn't an issue to me because they resolved it and very friendly. Once I got my food though everything was great. The food was the exact flavor I was smelling. The food was good. The customer service was good. It was a win win a minus the parking. Total for my chop and fries were28.99 before taxes. We will be back!"

"A hidden gem in a sea of strip malls off Sam Ridley. This charming spot is next to Subway and should not be passed up! We started our meal with Tom Kha which was very balanced in flavor, perfectly sweet, tangy and sour and addicting. The fresh spring rolls were also very good and I appreciate that it was cut into smaller pieces rather than served as a whole or half.For our entrees we got the curry fried rice with beef and Pad Kee Mao with chicken. Both were cooked just right (noodles were not over done, rice was also perfect) The only improvement would be the noodle dish, which could use a little more meat. Service was very friendly and attentive even as it got busier. Overall I am very pleased with my experience here and can't wait to go back to try more dishes!"

My husband and I ordered the vegetable samosas, chicken tiki masala and garlic naan to share for our dinner. Everything was delicious and piping hot from the kitchen. We got medium spice on our curry and it had just the right amount of kick to it.The only negative I will mention is that it was pretty warm in the restaurant. But that may be because we arrived almost right as they opened so maybe the AC was still kicking in. Other than that everything else during our experience, food and service, was five star!Will definitely be back for more!"

Families and date nights alike- this is a good spot for you. If you're looking for a healthy menu, they do have a few options, but we did not try those. The Goods:- free parking in the large lot at the marina- service was excellent. Our server was very attentive. - food was freshly made to order but came out extremely fast - food was really tasty! - Bushwacker (icy chocolatey boozy drink) for the winHere's what we ordered:- Fried cheese curds - we got them "plain" which means they weren't dipped in buffalo sauce. A side of ranch and also marinara are provided and let me tell you- this dish was a delight. So good!- Mahi Mahi Tacos- yum! This dish comes with 2 tacos (you can add a third for $6) and some delicious sauce made with ranch. Also a side that's mixed with black beans & yellow rice. All very good. - French Fries - so crispy with a hint of seasoning and a lot of salt. Just how I like them!- Fried Coconut Shrimp - didn't love that sauce they come with but the shrimp were SO GOOD! The Not So Goods:- You do have to take a ramp from the parking lot to get to the restaurant. I'm not handicap, but I would imagine this ramp might be a little difficult for someone who is. - They don't allow pets on the patio so keep your furry friends at home. I'd love to bring my dog but this isn't a reason to keep me away. - take a jacket or sweatshirt if you sit by the water. It can get chilly. Love that this place is within walking distance in my neighborhood. We will be back!"

I am a huge fan of California burritos (where they put French fries in the burrito) and sadly, a lot of places don't offer this particular style of burrito. As usual, I will try to give a decent feel for the place so you can make your own determination (and will re-review if I get back and find my feelings have changed).On the positive side, this marina restaurant has a very clean and somewhat classy feel, at least on the outside deck. They have a big open dining area complete with a small bar. I imagine it is a nice venue to watch music (they have events), but it honestly felt a bit pretentious and the staff gave a vibe they were doing you favor serving you. Most of the time, it felt like they were paying more attention to each other than the guests.Had a bushwhacker, as that seems to be the theme in the Nashville waterfront bars, and it came out really watery. Perhaps it is so popular the machines don't have time to set? Not sure, but the topper quickly merges in and becomes part of the drink. This is likely great with some.As I was sitting at the bar, I opted not to eat and went someone else where I felt I would not be as much of a burden to the staff. Perhaps next visit I will opt for indoors and see if the feeling is the same. Not sure when, or if, that will be. Again, I want to like this place.My feelings? It looks like a great venue to watch music. The food portions looked a bit small, but not to the extent some of the reviews have made it out to be. Great location, nice looking places, likely fun for events, but average rating. I think that is fair."

"Juicy Seafood " pops up and I'm all in.It's in a shopping center so plenty of parking. It's a little late on a Wednesday evening so not too may people eating and no wait. Desare is my waitress, sorry for misspelling, but she was great. Took my order and made a couple of good suggestions . In asking about the heat levels she thought I was asking for "Hot". Oh no she says, it way too hot, stick with the medium.Next she shows up with all necessary utensils, claw cracker. Claw meat picker, and of course a bib.I ordered the King Crab, sausage, and Shrimp, which comes with corn on the Cobb, and potatoes. Of course in a delicious sauce. Claws were a good amount, and it seemed like an endless amount of shrimp.You got me with the shrimp.Sausage was really good, but sliced very thin. Corn was tender and juicy. I didn't eat the potatoes because there was a lot of food . Just didn't have room for them.Before I leave, Deserie brings a to go cup for my drink.Ok, you don't have to ask, I highly recommend "Juicy Seafood ", so if you go keep a lookout for Deserie she's the best."

Fish was excellent, well cooked and loved the breading. Fries come in a little brown bag and were a good match.Husband had the Signature which is cod. Also very good. Friends split the Sampler and I must admit the Pub style (Pollock) was really good! Might need to try that next time and yes, there is a return trip soon!"

"We came here for the first time tonight and were so impressed. We got the steak for 2 meal which came with 2 salads and 2 sides. The amazing server Johnna P brought out some amazing bread with our salads. The roll is baked as normal but then deep fried a little. It is served with honey butter...chef's kiss bread! The salads were both fresh and tasty. Then for the steaks they don't mess around as we each got 12 ounce perfectly cooked and seasoned steaks. The service, food, and environment were all exceptional. Johnna was for sure a 5 star service and we noticed all the employees seemed happy and enjoyed working there. Then before leaving we got to meet the owner Ross. He was amazing to talk to and so happy to eat local. Lastly the price for two 12 Oz steaks, 2 salads, and 2 sides was only $50. Hard to beat with the quality of food and overall restaurant experience. We will be back!"
