Whitmans Restaurant

Whitman's was a great choice for us on a Wednesday afternoon. We were in the neighborhood after a cruise and just wanted to sit and relax. We had a patty melt, a cheeseburger, and a salad. All delicious! There were not a lot of patrons at the time we were there. It was a strange time of day-so that was not surprising.The music was really loud-unnecessarily-but, maybe I'm just old!

This is easily the best lunch spot I have found in Wynwood so far. The prices are significantly cheaper than the places around it, and the food is honestly better. The servers are incredibly kind and take the time to get to know you and be personal. The owner genuinely cares about his customers and is passionate about the establishment. The vibe of the place is intimate and definitely a quick lunch place for in and out food. But they also have a speakeasy in the back room with incredible architecture and furniture. Came here last night with a party of eight and waited for over an hour when we were the only table present. It appeared that the waitress was also the hostess, bar tender, and chef which explains a lot. She was very nice but management clearly had her spread too thin. The food was tasty. I ordered the Juicy Lucy and it was cooked the way I requested. The fried pickles and tater tots appetizers for the table were a decent portion and their specialty sauce was delicious. The only con was that there was insufficient staff and management really should hire more people.

Second time at Whitmans and the service is horrendous. One server for 6-8 tables at a time and our server asked us our order about 4 times, and they couldn't get my husbands burger right. Too bad because I think the food is ok generally but the service is so bad won't be returning.

You must try it. Simple delicious, and has a Full bar .great service The burgers are juice , fries are crispy and fresh. awesome music selection.

Did a take out and many items weren't present in the sealed bag. Philly cheesesteak needs seasoning and is a small portion. Fries are mostly non-edible and the only redeeming quality in food is their smash burger

Lovely new place with nice ambiance and decor with simple but good menu. Burgers and hot dogs make great bar food, just wish they would make the drink menu a little more extensive.
