Selva Negra Restaurant

The food at this restaurant is very authentic and pleasant. The ambiance is not the greatest, but it worth the shot trying it out.

I would like to give 4 stars but I'll explain what it is 3. We had a family lunch in a busy Sunday afternoon. Table of 7. We ordered several dishes, and 6 pitchers of sangria. The service needs some attention. Our sever was friendly but not attentive. We often couldn't find her so we had to ask 3 other servers walking around for food, water, napkins, etc. the food was almost perfect. All meat was cooked properly and seasoned well. The only issue was the ceviche which lacked acidity and salt. It was bland, tasted like absolutely nothing. I would still recommend Selva Negra for Greta meats and sides, just don't order ceviche.

Great fresh food! We ordered Antojitos Nicaragüense n Parrillada de mariscos with Lobster tail. It was aMax in. we had to ask for to Go boxes since portions are very generous.

I wanted to place an order of the Nicaraguan platter as I didn't want to cook on December 31st. What a big disappointment it was to place an order from this place. First this platter came with food that typically Nicaraguan platters don't come with. The platter is described as Grilled steak, blood sausage, grilled pork, sausage, green plantains, refried beans with sour cream, chicken tacos, sweet plantains, fried pork with yucca, fried cheese, corn tortilla and cole slaw.Well it came with rice and beans not with refried beans, also it came with chicken wings never have I seen that in any Nicaraguan platter, and I've been to the best here in Miami which is El Madroño, Pinolandia and Guayacan. I place the order here because it was the only place taking orders and now I know why.The worst Nicaraguan Platter.Meat was so hard, nothing had any flavor. Never again ordering from this place.I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Food was good. A good improvement from previous visit 6 months ago when they served cold food with hot plates and a Carne en salsa jalapeño without jalapeños. Maybe their microwave is brokenThere are more flies than servers. And they come more often!

Estado viniendo a Selva Negra por mas de 7 años y la comida y los precios muy buenos y el manager Freddy excelente servicio pendiente de los guest y muy amable y professional hace que el ambiente sea mas placentero, todo negocio necesita un manager con una actitud amable y freddy es un excelente anfitrion..gracias por la atencion

Don't order rice and bean these be tasteless, cold, and not fresh. Don't order cacao: might as well have a glass of milk. Take your own Tupperware for leftovers or pay $1 per disposable container. Check you receipt for accuracy: they hike the number of guests to charge extra gratuity. Too much hype and very little to show. No stars please. I guess business is bad- rightfully so. Otherwise there wouldn't be a need to be this shady.

El lugar es muy bello y acogedor , la comida excelente, pero las meseras son unas coquetas y coquetearon con mi novio siempre , así que hubieran de respetar, peroSi recomiendo el lugar

I have been here 4 times before. Food is good, however, all the 4 times I've been stuck with the same rude lady. Don't remember her name, but I believe her name starts with an "N". She always has an attitude, doesn't greet you, and works like una pesada. I rather go elsewhere....

The food is AMAZING!! Servers and manager are very attentive. The ambiance is cute inside, quaint and a special touch of Nicaragua. Had a great time!
