We waited months for this place to open. We were so excited to try it given all the reviews we've seen from the Canada locations. Super disappointed that I have to leave a low review because I think this place has potential but it definitely did not deliver today.We ordered the oxtail with veggies/rice and peas and jerk chicken sandwich. Not sure how a new Caribbean restaurant runs out of rice and peas but they only had white rice (around 3pm). The oxtail was dry and the portion was super small. The chicken was also dry and the chicken/topping portion was super small compared to the xtra large bun. I honestly would have given this place another shot if I didn't find a string of green plastic in my sandwich. If I didn't do takeout, I would have requested a refund in store.

It's partially my fault, because I should have politely asked for a refund when I saw him getting food out of the steel warmers. Sorry excuse for Caribbean food is a understatement. I would expect this in Nebraska or Idaho where they may not have a person from the Islands in sight. They should be embarrassed.

The jerk chicken sandwich was beyond delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly with the right amount of spices not too hot with a perfect amount of Coleslaw and the yummiest CoCo bread! So glad we finally have a Caribbean spot in Edgewater!

I've ordered takeout from Roywoods twice now, and each time I've had great customer service and awesome food! Having Caribbean cuisine in the Edgewater neighborhood is such a treat, and the jerk chicken, callalloo, rice and peas are amazing. Looking forward to going back to try additional dishes!

I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. I've had the oxtails, brown stewed chicken, and curry chicken; and everything is delicious. The staff are very friendly and the vibe is super chill. Great for takeout or dining in. My only issue would be the portion size. I always want more.

Honestly if your from the islands don't even waste your time coming here this is a white washed place.. I ordered jerk wings... where was the jerk ? My boyfriend had oxtail and the portion was so small and had no flavor .. I waited months for this to open and I'm overly disappointed this is NOT it yall... a star just cause I have to click it an order to post review

Portion of curry goat tiny for the price, also very salty. They will have to step there game up bc Miami is filled with good Jamaican spots. Added a star bc the people were very friendly and they just opened so gonna give it another chance

My brother had went couple days ago and told me he saw a cockroach walking by the cashier register so I went to check it out and saw so many flies around the food which was disgusting for a new restaurant. tbh the restaurant wasn't what it is on the website. service was horrible just workers standing on their phone. One of them was Haitian with dreads I asked him about the food and he seemed lost like he didn't know what was the ingredients. I don't see the hype about this place, the oxtail was amazing chef Rochelle did a great job. Tike how she came out to give me details about the food. that's what I was hoping for with the cashier and servers. Ill give this restaurant a 4/10. Food is great when it doesn't have flies and when it's served with a great attitude..
