An absolute embarrassment of an omakase experience that I cannot believe I got suckered to dine at. The restaurant is owned by the team behind Wabi Sabi and Hiyakawa, which are decent, slightly over average sushi shops so you think they would know better. Here the restaurant is located in a war zone area where they need to keep the door locked to prevent vagrants from coming in. And it goes downhill from there. The people working are very nice but the food is just awful. We watched as others sitting by us were given different food than we were and were told because they have been there 20 times before, they were entitled to something different!! Have you ever heard of such a thing? Why would certain people get served lesser food and others better? Is that fair? We didn't ask to pay less nor were offered the opportunity to pay more. Very bizarre. There are far better places to spend your money in Miami if you are looking for a great or even decent omakase experience but do yourself a favor and don't waste your time here. Alvaro you should know better, it doesn't always need to be a cash grab for you! Listen to what I'm saying and you'll thank me later I promise you!

Kirin gave the world not just great beer, but Superdry beer, sushi begot omakase and now omakase has begot Super Omakase, the new trend in sushi, super high-end Kaiseki style cuisine with sushi. Quite ode with only one seating a night, and expensive, but an experience to behold. And one might even get a restaurant with exclusive access to a Wagyu only available in the US at this one restaurant. And seared with traditional smokeless Japanese charcoal. The chefs and employees are friendly and fun. A terrific experience and fantastic dishes and sushi. Again, very expensive but Ana great experience in a beautiful restaurant.

Ogawa is an extraordinary addition to the local dining scene. This upscale fine omakase dinner experience offers a diverse array of dishes, each impressively fresh. The exclusive ambiance, limited to two sittings per day, creates an intimate setting due to the small group of diners. Highly recommend for those seeking both culinary excellence and a memorable atmosphere.

The omakase at Ogawa took Miami to a new height. Each dish is superbly balanced and harmonized, exemplifying the chefs' skills. Fish are flown in from Japan daily. Not a single creation has been repeated since they opened their doors last October! My first course was Kegani; it was so good that I immediately requested a second serving. The Wagyu skewers cooked in 3 different flavors was another one of my favorite. The layered O-Toro simply melted in my mouth, as did the scallops. The Kuruma shrimp was definitely the highlight of the evening. Despite its large size, the meat remains sweet and tender; the shell tempura was flavorful and crispy. The uni, the caviar, the oat charcoal seared kinmedai, the skillfully crafted nigiri, the boldly flavored hand roll - everything was masterfully prepared, exceeding all expectations. My dinner ended with a sweet potato ice cream with adzuki bean. Refreshing to the last bite! Congratulations Chef Masa, Chef Royce and Chef Jamie! You have put together something extraordinary! We will be seeing you again soon!

Extraordinary. Great little place tucked away near little river. I really prefer the cozy ambiance of a small sushi place, where the chef recognizes the clients and really adds the extra touch. The sushi is amazing. Just great. Perfect for a night out with a good friend or laid back, cozy date night.

Ogawa is an amazingly unique and special experience. It starts the second you walk through the almost secret entrance to when you leave with waves from the entire staff. The service and hospitality is unparalleled and genuine. You feel the warmth and respect throughout the entire food experience. It's not a meal, it's a journey. The ambiance and design is beautifully detailed. Every bite is elevated and one of a kind. I'm looking forward to being a regular and enjoying more highballs and Burgundy wine in the garden!
