We decided to go out for sushi to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and settled on Kae after walking around Giralda. As per usual we arrived shortly before they closed so we ordered everything as quickly as possible to not delay staff from closing up at 9. Service was great, super attentive and never made us feel rushed in the slightest. We started with the steamed pork gyoza and tuna tatake. The gyoza was exceptional, tuna tatake was different with a smoky flavor and subtle kick. I was looking forward to trying the sashimi roll only to find out they didn't have that anymore The rolls are tiny at only 5 pieces per roll, so we both ordered a giralda roll and my partner also had a volcano roll (food took a little while to come out and we finished the it by the time we realized we didn't get pics, sorry!). Rolls were good, but it was really difficult to appreciate the flavors beneath all of the eel sauce. My partner made a comment he felt like he'd taken a shot of eel sauce, and he was right. Given our proximity to Kae, I might be willing to try it again but my partner said he'd pass on it in the future. All in all I'd try it again but make a mental note to ask for the sauce on the side!

Yelped local sushi spots in my area and I came across this place. I sat inside and the place is decorated nicely. Small and intimate seating inside but they do have outdoor seating! I tried the kae roll was very different than many rolls I've had in Miami. From what I believe is caramelized Shallots, it brought a very unique crunchy taste to this roll. To be honest I've been to some places and I was never really satisfied with the over flavor of the rolls but from the two rolls I ate here, everything tastes great. The ají sauce added the extra flavor The next roll was the nigiri rolls I never really go for rolls with crab but with all the fish and Avacado and everything else added it was really good. But the ponzu ginger sauce dressed on the plate made the flavor profile of this roll stand out and paired very well overall with this roll I was very pleased with the service and food. I would recommend anyone to try.

Went to Kae sushi on a Saturday evening. I recommend a reservation just in case. It seems sometimes it can be more busy than others.Staff was friendly and helpful. They have some cool sushi choices. I ordered one roll of the salmon with passion fruit. One roll of salmon with guava. If you like sweet, it's a good mix and match. For dessert, I ordered a Nutella roll, which was good, but I want to try the Thai donuts next time. Prices are ok. The rolls I ordered are 5 pieces. Would have liked more. They have outside and inside seating. I would recommend to atleast try once.

Kae is a gem of a sushi restaurant tucked away in downtown Coral Gables. My wife and I had the pleasure of dining there last Friday evening and were thoroughly impressed by the warm hospitality, fresh sushi, and cozy atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the lovely owners Katy and Ibrahim who welcomed us like old friends. Their friendliness and attention to detail made us feel right at home. The fish tasted like it had just been caught that morning. The rice was perfectly seasoned and had just the right temperature and texture. The highlight was absolutely their signature Kae roll. The combination of textures and flavors in this roll was sublime.Beyond the exquisite sushi, especially the Kae roll, the atmosphere at Kai is warm and inviting. Traditional Japanese decor with intimate booth seating makes it feel like you're dining in someone's home. While enjoying our meal, Katy and Ibrahim checked in on us several times to make sure we were happy. Their sincerity and care for their customers was evident. I cannot recommend Kae highly enough for top-notch sushi and heartfelt hospitality. Katy and Ibrahim's passion comes through in every bite and interaction. We cannot wait to return soon and bring friends along to experience this Coral Gables gem.

Cute date spot for sushi lovers. They play mostly house music so it's very vibey. I ordered the spicy tuna crunch roll and the prosciutto roll because I was very curious. Everyone on the app said it was good and unique and I do find it unique but it wasn't my favorite. I didn't really taste the prosciutto and the combo of flavors just wasn't for me. The spicy crunch roll was delish and I love a good crunch. We also ordered pork gyoza and it was a nice starter. We definitely would've been hungry if we didn't have a little appetizer to start. I'm glad we found this spot on giralda. We'll be coming back in the future.

My favorite sushi spot! I tried 2 new rolls this time and had some classics that are always my go-tos. If you're an octopus lover like me, then I suggest you start with the octopus tiradito - refreshing! Want a roll with a kick? Try the Jalapeño Yaita. If you want something different with lobster, try the Lobster Deluxe. And lastly, a favorite of the house - the Kai Roll. It's the bomb dot com! If you're still hungry after that like we were, then get the Toro Caviar to finish.Service was friendly, attentive, and wonderful as always. Ambiance inside is chill and decor is cute.

I had heard good things about this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Let's start with the food. The selections are good, different, which I liked however, the portions are very small for the sushi rolls. Only 5 large pieces but the prices are high for what you get. The house salad was pretty big but also a hefty price for a lot of lettuce. The day we visited unfortunately there was only one lady taking care of tables. Although only 3 tables were occupied the service was very slow.

So when you think you are booking one restaurant and you get another (due to two sushi places in both nearly the same name), you don't have good expectations. And while this place didn't surprise me as a hidden gem, there were still plenty to like about it. The service was really great. They corrected an error, filled water glasses and were attentive and helpful. My dining mates enjoyed their roll, the dumplings were delish and the Argentine steak (more on this in a a sec) was as cooked perfectly. It wasn't perfect. The beef empanada came out half cold (second try was hot) and the stir fried dish with rice needed a bit more flavor. The menu is also a bit weird. Is it Asian? Argentine? The sushi selections are also a little weak. But I find myself thinking that it's good. Not my favorite but when you are expecting a different place, perhaps it's hard to recover.

Best sushi place. We come here a lot since we live a block away, and it never disappoints. The food is excellent as is the service. Last night we tried a couple of dishes for the first time (toro & caviar roll and the tuna miso tiradito). They were both delicious. And we also ordered our favorites, the butter and lobster roll which melts in your mouth, the salmon sensation with a great presentation (get your phone ready to record) and the guava roll (only in Miami and the best way to end the meal). Cathy and her team are excellent and they always make us feel as if we are part of their family. If you like sushi, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
