"Of all places I have met Owner / Chef Benoit several times in Reno at Belleville.So on a recent pass through Miami I made it a point to stop here to eat. What a great bonus to discover he served brunch on the weekends, so Saturday morning I ventured up to the Hialeah area. I was greeted promptly and offered a seat, which I requested on the small patio out front. It was a gorgeous sunny morning and I wasn't going to was any of it.The brunch menu was fabulous, if I hadn't already had my heart set on a croque madam, it would have been a difficult decision. The fresh bread was layered with thin slices of ham and gruyere cheese and perfectly grilled, then blanketed with a silky gruyere cheese sauce and topped with a farm fresh soft egg. The bonus to sandwich were the duck confit potatoes. Mmmm. Accompanied by a fresh guava mimosa. How much better could the day start than all of this. The staff was fantastic- refilling water, offering another mimosa and clearing the table while I just enjoyed the morning.I can't wait to stop in again on my next pass through Miami. The evening menu looked just as delicious.Great hidden gem"

"Everything was excellent. Although I don't think I have ever had a meal in Coral Gables that wasn't 10/10. Everything is always upscale, well presented, and absolutely delicious. I love how cultured the area is too. Lots of options to choose from! Anyway, the ambiance was by far my favorite. I loved the shelves of wine that aligned the entire restaurant. There was a very upscale, trendy European/South American feel. Excellent wine menu. We started with an Argentine Chardonnay that was wonderful, and then we moved onto two bottles of Oregon Pinot Noir that were outstanding. The service was impeccable. Very Argentinian menu - so meat dominant, but still, lots of options to choose from. Loved the Provoletta Prillera, which I am told is a traditional Argentine dish. Some of our party wanted steak well done and others wanted it medium, so they brought it over on a little stone plate with steak at different temperatures, fantastic idea! The Portobello mushrooms risotto was delicious, and I enjoyed my chicken milanesa. For dessert, we had Carajillos (first time for me). Coffee and liquor 43 on ice. Fantastic after dinner drink. They had the Argentine soccer game on while we were there, which was a nice, fun touch. Everyone was dressed so well too!"

This hidden place was incredible the vibe and the atmosphere is so romantic. I would take anyone on a first second or hundredth date to this spot. It was delicious also paired with some gazpacho spinach ricotta mousse unfortunately it was not enough we wished there was more we devoured the dish in 2 minutes.We shared the lamb chops dish extremely tender fall off the bone and very well seasoned with lots of flavour the cook was perfection again!We also had some duck prosciutto it was amazing but again portions were limited wish it was thicker cuts of the amazing prosciutto and the lamb chops were minute as well.But the cook is/was: Perfection ! Every single bite we took kept us wanting more and more it was irresistible. The plates were all cleaned up in minutes!For dessert, we had coffee to settle all what we devoured down .. maybe we will try the desserts on our next trip definitely count us in! we will be back here for sure ! 10000% recommend Cheers!"

"My sister is a regular at Happy Wine Grove so she decided to celebrate my mom's bday here on Saturday evening. We had the BEST time! Our server (& fellow Tico) Moises was wonderful. Honestly, everyone we encountered & everything we ate/drank was fantastic! We started with a red wine on the house then I moved on to a delicious Sancerre while my mom & sister stuck to red. We ordered a few things off the menu to share: - Olives ( all the olives I had were spectacular & briny & spicy! YUM!) - PAN CON TOMATE & MANCHEGO CHEESE BOARD (delicious! never met a pan con tomate i didn't like & this one was excellent! manchego is also one of my favourite cheeses so great dish!)- BACON WRAPPED DATES (i don't eat pork but mom & sis loved it)- MANCHEGO CROQUETAS (also on the house & also delicious! perfectly balanced & not at all greasy. Crispy, golden outside, delicious creamy melty cheese on inside. loved the accompanying garlic aioli too!)- PATATAS BRAVAS (so good! again, not greasy at all & the spicy tomato sauce & garlic aioli were the perfect compliments to the piping hot potatoes)- SHRIMP AL AJILLO (super delicious & flavourful!) They also brought out an incredible chocolate brownie cake slice with ice cream for my mom's bday. Perfect way to end an already exceptional meal! "This is a really quaint restaurant. We chatted with the owner and later on his wife. Their son works behind the bar. I love that it is family run.I ordered a few oysters to start. They were delicious and the sauces were excellent. I also ordered the French onion soup. This is a real French onion soup. I liked it but I prefer the Americanized version I am used to.I sampled the goat cheese salad and it was excellent. I loved my Beef Bourginion. I was surprised it had penny pasta. I actually had this dish in France and it was incredible. The one here was excellent as well. I do believe the chef and owner is actually from France which is awesome, especially since he is running a French restaurant. The croquettes were different from what I am used to but still good. The lava cake was so delicious. I sampled the Mojoto and enjoyed that. Service was great. This is a nice place to eat that is unexpected and just delicious.Oh yeah, I ordered a loaf of French bread to take home. I took a bite when I got hone to taste it at it's best. I liked it but thought Whole Foods and Fresh Market have just as high quality French bread."

We stopped here for dinner at the recommendation of my boyfriend.The service did not disappoint but it was also a rainy night, so there weren't many people there. It was tasty and definitely one of my favorite pastas. It has been on our "to-do list" for a long time, but the restaurant is open only for dinner and it's a long way from where we live in West Palm Beach.Unfortunately it was still too hot to eat outside: their patio is big and has a nice ambiance. Their dining room is big, doesn't have any particular décor, and got crowded very fast (it was a Saturday night - luckily they have a private parking)We ordered a "salumi board" as appetizer to share with our friends: everything was delicious.I then ordered pasta with clams: not only the presentation was nice, but it was also very good. Same for my husband's "cacio & pepe", which was very creamy.Our friends ordered pizza: I had a small bite and liked it, but I have my favorite place for pizza and I haven't found a better option yet. To be fair, however, my favorite pizza place makes Neapolitan pizza, while Battubelin's pizza are of a different style (from Northern Italy).I also shared a panna cotta with my friend, but next time I'll order one just for myself: it was amazing! The best panna cotta I had so far in the US!The service is very friendly and attentive; however, I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because:1. The music was so loud that we couldn't have a conversation and the waiter had to bend over the table to hear us;2. The prices on their menu online are about $4-5 cheaper than the real ones;3. It's on the expensive side, and there are other places in Miami that offer the same authentic cuisine at cheaper prices.Having said that... we will certainly come back when the occasion arises."

We were seated right away, but the host did make it clear that there was an 8:15 reservation for the table he'd sat us at, so we couldn't dally.We were given menus and a basket of soft and warm mini baguettes for the table along with waters. It took a surprisingly long while for them to take our food orders, especially when we were told when we'd first arrived that we needed to free up that booth for the next patrons to be seated. We started with an order of grilled octopus to share, and for our main courses 2 of us got the pasta bolognese, one got the honey roasted salmon, and one got the pasta with clams. Everyone was happy with their meals and the service staff were outgoing and friendly, including the gentleman who served our wine and took a few moments to chat with us. This restaurant was full, but not packed during our time here, and it appears they also have outdoor seating located on the sidewalk in front, a bit further down the plaza from the entrance of Costa Med."

Performance stage has live music like flamenco on weekend nights. Service is the weakest point---spotty and not knowledgeable---but if you can work with it, the food is worth a visit.I went for their brunch, to celebrate my birthday, which is typically only offered on Sundays, but the owner was kind enough to have the chef accommodate a request for brunch items on a Saturday. They have bottomless cava-mosas for $35, which we took very full advantage of as the combination of fresh orange juice with the cava helped our party have a great time.A few of us would ask for refills, and our server would take three or four flutes back to the bar to pour the drinks. It became clear that he was not keeping track of whose glass was whose and simply came back and placed glasses in front of us without checking anything. Luckily we all liked each other enough to be able to be comfortable with sharing glasses.I had the Chistorras a la Casuela and Spanish Tortilla which were both tasty. The Chistorras had well seasoned potato cubes, crisped chorizo and a beautifully runny fried egg. The tortilla was hefty with its layers of scalloped potatoes, held together with fluffed egg. I shared one and a half slices with my friends, then asked for the rest of it to take with me. The server took it and never returned with the takeout container.If you can't tell by now, our server was young, distracted, and quite clueless. There was a soccer game on in the restaurant, and we caught him watching the game a few times while we were trying to get his attention for an order. He told me that the owner wanted to give me a surprise, so he wanted to know when our meal was done. Obviously, he didn't get the memo about what a surprise is.However, like I said, the ambience of the restaurant, and its food are worth a try. The owner, William, is an incredibly sweet gentleman whom you should be able to meet since he is at the restaurant almost every day. Hopefully, you'll have a different service experience. You may have a better chance going with a smaller group rather than the large group I had!"

"Adding to my collection of Italian restaurant reviews, I bring you Emilio's Trattoria (should I catalog every Italian place in South Florida :)? ) It's a cozy spot right on Kane Concourse, Bay Harbor's main strip, and next to another pleasant dinner out. I arrived early enough that I was the first diner for the evening and had a corner table, just like a Don. I was in the mood for soup, and had ordered the pasta fagioli - my usual - but was pleasantly surprised by my waitress' substitution to their soup of the day, carrot puree. It was nicely blended while maintaining richness in flavor and a subtle sweetness. Throw in some pieces of their rustic toasted bread if you want some substance. Their chicken parmesan, duh, was seasoned with a tasty and full bodied marinara sauce. While thinly cut, the size of the chicken breast was really generous. Instead of pasta, I enjoyed a side of nicely aromatic oven roasted potatoes. Dessert was an apple pastry a la mode with a mixed berry glaze. The crust was nicely thin, allowing me to enjoy the actual fruit flavor. Coffee was my beverage of choice and the wait staff kept my cup full. Another great hidden find in the area!"

I'd taken my friend and fellow foodie Jacquie for a belated Birthday dinner to this neighborhood spot and would have liked even a candle or "Happy Birthday" written on the plate like a lot of restaurants do. Located right on Main Highway with great people watching of Coconut Grove nightlife, we were able to find a parking spot in the cozy lot right behind the restaurant ($7/hour plus a "Convenience Fee" on the app). We got our outside table and served bread and olive oil (I'm more partial to Balsamic but that's just personal preference. I ordered their beef ragu pappardelle which was actually pretty tasty, hearty in flavor and a nice amount of marinara sauce. The portion sizes are meant for sharing and tasting, not getting full.We ordered a dessert to share - but alas no birthday decor. The lemon semifreddo with chocolate crumble was nicely presented but again after the service miscues had taken out most of the flavor. On reading some of the other reviews, I'm wondering if we went on an off night."

While there, there was consistent business, but never too busy - however, I hope it picks up, because the food was delicious!We started with the beef carpaccio, which was pretty standard but very yummy. Then, we split a margherita and the honey calabrese pizzas. The honey calabrese is arguably one of the best bites of pizza I've had - it was sweet, salty and so fresh.
