"Amazing food every time! Daek in Midtown Miami is a gem for Thai cuisine lovers. They offer a fusion of Thai tapas and sushi, which is great to satisfy more than one craving when my partner wants sushi but I'm craving a yummy duck salad ;). The authenticity of flavors is 5 stars for me! The duck salad is a standout, can't go wrong with the papaya salad either. Their curry dishes are a must-try, rich and aromatic. The seating ambiance is nice too, and the service is consistently swift and accommodating. A go-to spot for satisfying Thai cravings in Miami!"
"Today I came for their Sunday special : tomato choka, eggplant choka, salt fish served with naan. With a bottle of water, it costed a meager $8+. What a deal. And the food was fresh and homely. The quantities are huge. Quick service. Has Bollywood music playing in the background giving it a Dhaba or small town restaurant feel. The naan felt doughey but other than that it's a must try if you are into budget friendly ethnic cuisines."

It is also packed with flavor with the best char on the outside. If you choose to dine in the restaurant also has parking and tons of places to sit. I was not a huge fan of the sides but the meats definitely made up for it."
"We celebrated our Friendsgiving here on Saturday at 10:30 pm- I cant say enough good things about this place WHAT A BLASTTTTTTTshout outs- Susan is a bartender there and she is phenomenal- she helped me set up my reservation, she is so sweet and helped me with my million questions lol (highly recommended, this place gets PACKED) we got the table next to the DJ (next shoutout DJ DAN- such a fun and talented dj, he really knew the way to mix country with a miami twist, initially I was worried because I love dancing but dont know much about country but WOW he killed it and kept everyone on the dance floor) Natalie was our server and was an angel, she was always around and made sure we had everything we needed and was so much fun and seemed liked she enjoyed her job which is refreshing, sometimes servers in these spots treat you like they are annoyed but def not here! Everyone is soooooooo nice and genuinely having a great timeShoutout to Melissa who jumped w me on the bull! She made me feel so comfortable and was so much funAnd the bull runner not sure of his name but he was so sweet and took it easy on girls who were nervous which was so nice! Also all the security and girls there were so nice and do a great job of keeping ppl hyped- they have shows too which was fun to watchTips: reserve! Go in theme but def comfy because you WILL dance and sweat Ride the bull! Soooo much funnThey dont have food here BUT there are places next door and they allow u to bring it in 10/10 its a must!"
"Cool ambiance with board games, an array of comfy couch seating plus bar stools and high tops, as well as traditional tables. Inside it was so dark that my friend and I ended up being one of those old folks who pull out their camera's flashlights to read the menu. We are those people now! The drinks we ordered from Cassandra were a Spicy Siesta (tequila drink) and a Cherry Blossom (a sweet vodka drink). They were tasty, fresh, well made, and quickly served. Mine had Tajin on it but it wasn't Tajin, which is a brand not a generic name for chili salt. What was on there was the sorriest chili salt I've ever had (no flavor and almost a powder instead of tiny salt kernels). We played darts, which was fun. The bathrooms were covered with graffiti--maybe one person started it as a prank and then it just kept going on and on until the mirror to see yourself in is just another piece of graffiti over graffiti."
"THE PLACE: located in front of the arena, this was a perfect place to grab a meal and wait for traffic to go down as we left a concert. Tables are available inside and outside.THE FOOD: my fiancé, and I ordered a few Nigiri roll 4/5 these were simple and good, but oddly are sold by individual pieces., the Angel roll 5/5 fantastic! A great combination of flavors and textures, and came with many pieces enough to satisfy two people. The René roll 3/5 left much to be desired. It was a normal room, but didn't have anything that made it stand out or excite me in anyway. Miso soup 5/5.THE SERVICE: Our waiter Pablo was great. He was attentive, got our order well and had a great customer service skills. I also enjoyed and admired the fact that a person who seem to be the manager (tall, bald and in a suit) was walking around checking in on guests, taking dishes to guests, and helping his staff- this is exemplary workmanship, and the few things that always bring me back to an establishment. You can tell a lot based on how managers work themselves and interact with others."
"Stopped into Lokal for a quick lunch before my flight. I had the pleasure of having Tati as my waitress and I loved her energy, knowledge of the menu and attentiveness. Tati recommended the Mint lemonade which was superb and so fresh! To eat I had a Bababooey Burger which was mouthwatering. What I also LOVED about Lokal was how dedicated they are to providing high-quality handcrafted burgers and sauces that are all made right in house. Inside there is an entrance to Victoria's Vinos y Vermuteria, a wine and vermouth bar that's also a part of the Kush Hospitality Group."
"The Corner is indeed on a corner and a great go-to spot in the area. I heard from a friend that this is a Miami staple and it lived up to the chill hype she amped it up to be. We came here with some friends after a Heat game, looking for some grub and a nightcap. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and it wasn't too busy at the time we arrived. If you come before a Heat game, I was told they have specials on certain drafts, which I think was cool. My friend said that this spot is a place where you end a night rather than begin and it held true as the place began to fill up the later we stayed. The vibe is cool & laid back with their playlist on pointttt with A Tribe Called Quest and Wu Tang Clan playing. You order at the bar and then grab a seat when they give you a number. I didn't get a cocktail this time around but all my friends loved theirs. The Painted Lady was a fan favorite! We also ordered some bites and it was all pretty good. Standard bar food but a little elevated is how I'd describe it. I got the grilled cheese and that was good but next visit, I definitely want to get the Chicago Dog because it looked amazing. A great spot to hang with friends or even bring a date."

My recent dinner experience at Daek left a lasting impression, and I'm eager to share my positive review. The ambiance of the restaurant exudes a relaxed and casual vibe, perfect for unwinding after a long day. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. When it came to the food, Daek truly delivered. I opted for the pad Thai, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Each bite was bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's skillful mastery of Thai cuisine. The dish was solid in every aspect, from the perfectly cooked noodles to the harmonious blend of spices and ingredients.Throughout my meal, the staff remained attentive and accommodating, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of delightful. Their friendly demeanor added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. In summary, Daek offers a winning combination of great taste, flavor, and friendly service. Whether you're craving a casual meal or looking to explore Thai cuisine, Daek is a solid choice that won't disappoint. I look forward to returning to try more of their delicious offerings.

Stopped in today because I was craving a roti. It was my first time checking this spot out because I had heard that they were good from Facebook and some other social media outlets. The prices are cheaper than other spots that sell roti and they give you a lot of food compared to other spots. I had the boneless curry chicken dhalpuri roti. It was good, slightly under salted. I got one of the mango passionfruit juices and it was soooo freaking good. I haven't tried the peanut punch yet, but I'm sure it's also amazing. I also got one doubles just for a snack, but it tasted like it had pepper in it and I asked for none so I took a few bites but didn't finish it. It also had the tamarind sauce and the cucumber slaw on it. I like the cucumber slaw, but not the tamarind sauce so I have to remember next time to be specific about what I want on it. Maybe that's the baseline, but it was a bit too much for this American Trini gyal, lol.The ambience is nice, gives you that laid-back island vibe like other comparable spots. The staff are nice and friendly and try to get you out quick if you are waiting on takeout. I'd come back if in the area.

This place is great. I don't know how else to describe it other than great, bountiful, hedonistic, and powerfully barbequean. Almost everything was spectacularly delicious and filled in that craving of needing a platter of meat. Meat things were juicy, a good portion even for four people, and came in a great variety to sample and see the amazing variety of transforming an animal into many delicious edibles. If I had to pick some favorites, it probably to have been the brisket, beans, and cornbread. Don't just stick to those, though, as you have to get a full platter of more variety to get the full experience. In addition to that, you probably also have to get the frozen pina colada they offer at the bar if you're not in the mood for slamming down a beer with it all.If there's one thing I'd change, it'd be to not get the wings--despite the great acclaim by a friend, they were rather dry outside and in and honestly you've gotta have at least have the inside moist and juicy or else it doesn't work. Other than that, eat to your heart's content and don't forget the watermelon salad to cut down all that meat and fat.

I had no idea there was a "cowboy" bar at Dolphin Mall! The place has line dancing, a mechanical bull and female servers all in red and chaps. The line dancing can get chaotic but it's still fun. Great for people watching, specially the mechanical bull!!

I remember driving through the downtown area later at night about a dozen years ago and remarking how dead and lifeless it was after most businesses had closed for the day. I felt bad for people who were living there because, while they were a relatively short drive or metro mover ride away from some decent restaurants and nightlife, there was really nothing available to them in this immediate area. That's changed in more recent years with about 1/2 dozen bars and eateries downtown that are open until late and on weekends, and Lost Boy Dry Goods is one of the better ones. This bar has a smaller but adequate food menu and at times features visiting pop-ups that provide eats, It looks like a brick-walled pub inside with an exposed wooden ceiling, a long bar that has several screens for watching sports and other programming, several tables for seating customers and a few comfy couches and chairs, a faux fireplace, a pool table, dart boards and an eclectic mix of "stuff" that one may have seen in your grandparents' house - old console radio and TVs, a manual typewriter, telephones, old-style lanterns, books and the like. In all, the mood here is fun and lively, the music is good and they sometimes have a DJ, but it isn't so loud you can't carry on a conversation with those around you. The cocktail menu is solid, they offer a basic wine list and have several beers on tap or in cans. Best of all, for night owls or those in the restaurant and bar business who want a spot to visit after work, this place is open until 3 a.m. most every night, though they do somewhat unfortunately stop serving food at 11.

I usually venture into downtown for Miami Heat games and if you have time for a dinner before the game there's no better place than this location of Sushi Sake. All locations are great and food is usually the same between locations. We were in a big rush to make it to the game and the server was gracious and made recommendations to make sure we got all good quickly. Sushi is great quality and always tastes fresh and delicious Enjoy!!

INCREDIBLY AWESOME SERVICE !!We ordered online but there was a glitch in the system. They more than made up for it with unparalleled service. Not only did our burgers come out fast and delicious, we were offered water (including a cup for my grandson and a toy), and when my daughter got in the car, she realized they had given her a complimentary bottle of wine. All that for something that they did not have control over.My family and friends have eaten at Lokal dozens of times. The burgers have always been some of our favorites, and the service has always been great. But today, they really made our day. It's not everywhere that people go above and beyond to make their customers happy. Thank you Lokal!
Visit Restaurant Page"What a cute burger spot tucked away in gorgeous and busy Brickell.Service was great. The gentleman that worked there was kind enough to take a photo of me and I was very impressed with his skills. He was also an actor which is always a cool thing to encounter in certain restaurants and cities. The "Italian Job" burger was delicious. FYI: it's a roasted red pepper on top of the burger. It's definitely worth ordering again.Despite having the worst parking there because it's Brickell, this spot is definitely worth multiple visits if you can Uber in."
"When people ask me what's left of the old Miami, it becomes harder and harder to pin it down. While I know Gramps is new to this venue, it somehow embodies that old miami vibe we all yearn for in a revamped and refreshed setting that's suitable for the current demand. It's got what you need, what you want, and most importantly what you deserve: solid drinks, an amazing view, low key vibes, stiff cocktails, good tunes & light bites.Oh, and they have valet parking which is basically required to use when coming here. Key Biscayne will always be the most scenic part of Miami in my opinion but now it can also have an almost divey bar in a posh neighborhood that really brings together the grit and glamour we have within us. The service is quick. The drinks are affordable. It's pet-friendly (as long as they are leashed) and the vibe is chill. Strongly recommended"
"Visited this location on a Saturday evening and it wasn't busy at all which is great, recommended by friends this little hidden gem definitely surprised me. It's in the corner and has a small entrance. As soon as we walked in , it definitely gives industrial Miami vibes . The menu on the other hand had many things from burgers to different types of beer on tap . I tried the chicken and waffles , which the chicken was full of flavor and amazing seasonings. The waffles were just ok , a bit dry and didn't do much for the plate it self .. just got for one of their burgers - wish I did . Regardless a great location to stop by when in Miami , and try something new."
"Had the Koji burger, and it was delicious . It was super filling and very delicious . Well seasoned, it had a tangy sauce and pickles. There are plenty of options for sides that all looked delicious. On my next visit, I definitely wanna try the chicken sandwich."
"The flavors and creativity brought me straight back to Lima. Service was good and the waiter was attentive. The space is small yet comfy and relaxing."
"I came here for a flea market that was held here. And wow I was blown away ! This location is one of nicest spots I've been to in Wynwood. The hotel is Arlo Hotels. As soon as you walk in it smells to good. The vibe is an artsy chill vibe. The higher ground is on the third floor. There is outdoor and indoor seating..A great spot for those Instagram photos.Parking is the usual street parking. I am definitely coming back here with friends."
"Tasty food with good sized portions, but some of the worst service I've had in Florida! We were sat at the table next to the stage and server station. It was live jazz, so the atmosphere was nice! Getting service and ordering food was like pulling teeth! The server was inattentive and we had to ask for drink refills multiple times before we got one!The food came out quickly though! The price for the portions was fair!Everything we ate was delicious! If you check in on Yelp, you get a free dessert. It doesn't say any stipulations or what dessert you can get.At first the server didn't want to honor the coupon at all. We asked to speak to the manager and she disappeared for 7 minutes. When she came back she said she could only give us the Nutella dessert. My guest couldn't eat that. So I asked again after going back and forth to speak to the manager. No manager ever came, but we finally got to order the brownie dessert we wanted (same price and plate setup btw, so honoring the request shouldn't have been hard)!18% auto Grat on the bill... explains the awful service!"
"Outstanding.Learned about Jealous Fork from a colleague who raved about it. I live 40 minutes away with no traffic and based on their experience, I immediately made a reservation for a Saturday at 11am.Plentiful free parking in the complex's parking lot. A duo of friendly and accommodating greeters sat me quickly. I was told the dining room was small but I commend the setup for fitting as many customers at a time as possible. Before discussing the food, must say the "head dishwasher" is such a lovely human being. His leadership of the operation is so intentional, no wonder the staff are all so amazing. My dining partner and I had two servers - both were fantastic: attentive, kind, patient. This was indeed the absolute best service I have experienced across South Florida this year! Now the food. OMG. Everything! Safe to say, I ran back to work that Monday to rave back to my colleague. Everything was better than I anticipated. We started with the bacon spindle which my mind could not picture what was described but it was indeed a spindle of delicious, somewhat fatty, perfectly cooked and seasoned sweet bacon. So good! The pancakes are the perfect density and consistency - thick enough to hold up the flavor and maple syrup without being chalky. Perfect flavors - we had the infamous banana walnut pancakes. Whew, boy! SO GOOD! When the "head chef" explained the technique for the bananas, I understood why the flavor was so perfectly balanced. Jealous Fork also serves seasonal options. We tried the shrimp and grits pancakes which the way it was served was very unique but all the flavors came together perfectly. The mimosas definitely carry their weight - more fizz than juice and great companions to the food. Also the Salted Caramel Affogato was the best.I left, very happy that Jealous Fork is so far for me to go. Otherwise I would be there everyday. Highly recommend!!"
"I don't know how many reincarnations this particular spot has gone through. Before Ashoka it was Saffron, and before that Imlee, and I am pretty sure it was still another Indian restaurant before Imlee, which name I cannot recall. We went there for lunch. Their lunch menu has many choices, from vegetarian to lamb, at a very good value too. You can choose a smaller set, or the thali, which includes salad and dessert as well, prettily arranged on a tin tray. The samosa is excellent, crunch on the outside and on our first bite, steamy hot! It's great they are freshly fried instead of made ahead. The lunch portion doesn't have a lot of meat, but with the delicious sauce scooped over the rice, along with the naan and other food, it's not likely you will go hungry, and given the price, I think it's a fair value. Service is on point too."
"Given that it's my favorite cuisine, it's only fitting that I close out 2023 with a review of an Italian spot. This chain came on my culinary radar when a foodie friend mentioned their gnocchi day on Friday 12/29. $25 got me all I can eat gnocchis with a variety of sauces. These appetizer size balls of dough and potato were served with shaved cheese and a variety of sauces. As for me, I tried and liked only their two red sauces: basic marinara (with a nice slightly Smokey flavor) as well as the bolognese with a decent spread of meat. They served as a yummy introduction to their menu. The special also included a $5 glass of catana Malbec, all fruity and with notes of mocha.Since I saw the pizza oven when I walked in, I knew I had to try. That they have Hawaiian pizza? Even better! Besides the classic toppings of real prosciutto, thin slices of pineapple and a nice helping of marinara sauce, Italica also seasons their creation with jalapeno. Some purists might not, but you my dear readers know this is my favorite kind of pie. Located in a strip mall, this location has free parking. There also spots in Midtown/ Wynwood and near Miami Shores I believe."
"I came today and was delighted that they offered a thali and a lunch special on a Saturday day. I tried their chicken tikka Masala. It was very pleasant."
