"I keep going back for the incredible food! I normally avoid buffets like the plague, but I set my phobias aside for my love of this place. If you are not a fan of a buffet, you can skip lunch time and try the dinner menu. I do wish the food had more heat to it, but the owner kindly explained to me that the vast majority of the people in America cannot handle Indian spice levels, so they tone it down for their typical Arizona guest. Don't get me wrong, the flavor and quality are still top notch. Some of my favorites so far are the goat vindaloo (not spicy at all), samosas with chutnies, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, and the chicken curry. Service is always impeccable and attentive."
"This place offers a daily lunch buffet for $15.99 that even has goat curry in it! Plus, you can always order off of the menu. But the biggest most amazing part is they have 13 different variations of naan bread cooked in the traditional tandoor oven! The staff is absolutely amazing. The owners are always there and they greet and serve you!"

"We love The Dhaba, so much so that we drive from Surprise. The food is outstanding.I also want to say the family who owns it is also wonderful. They work so hard to run the restaurant, the children work full time and go to college. We have NEVER had anyone be disrespectful in anyway. The restaurant is quiet and clean. They even have a larger dinning area for lager groups. We will continue to drive across the valley to eat here and support a hardworking family."
"Amazing food. The best Indian food in Phoenix. I've tried tons of places and Tempe has the best Indian and Nandini is the best spot. The lunch buffet is obviously amazing."
"I am so glad I found this place! I had dinner with my sister here on Saturday evening and wow was this place busy!We walked in and were quickly greeted by the worker at the counter. We told him it was our first time in and that we were dining in. The inside is very small but he quickly put together a table for us. They seemed to be having a rush with to go orders as a lot of people were waiting and or picking up.We sat down and cold water was brought out right away. We looked over the menu and decided on:1 CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA - White meat chicken cooked in the clay oven and simmered in creamy tomato sauce.1 CHICKEN TIKKA SALADBoneless white chicken roasted in tandoor and served with fresh salad and raita dressing1 GARLIC NAANLeavened bread of all-purpose flour with a touch of garlic and cilantro1 TANDOORI/BUTTER NAANLeavened bread of all-purpose flour topped off with melted butter.2 White Rices1 SHAHI KULFIIndian homemade ice cream, flavored with almonds & pistachiosThe food was delicious and every dish tasted great. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and was made with love, props to the chef! The naan was also very good and it had a nice warm crisp to it.Service was great as we were checked up on several times. My drink and water were both refilled. The ice cream was delicious but portion wise though, not worth the $4.99 price. We received one small scoop.Overall the food was delicious and service was great! We will be back!"
"I have not been back to Curry Corner for several years since my first visit. I am not sure why. We stopped by on Saturday after 12 pm and there were not many people yet. The service was good and the food arrived fast. Once we finished our lunch, this place was getting pack with dine-in customers and takeout customers. All four curries that we got were so delicious and full of flavor. Chicken was juicy and tender. They made the simple dal lentil curry so specifically good. Karahi chicken curry was so memorable and I could not stop enjoying it. Paratha bread was my favorite. It is lightly fried but still soft and not too oily.I want to visit their chai corner next door for some chai or lassi."
"I normally go to New India Gate for Indian food, but as I live in Florence and that's on the west side of Phoenix it's a long drive. I stumbled across India's Flame simply by accident and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did as the food here is outstanding! The Chicken Tikka Masala was super flavorful as were the Tandoori wings. The Garlic Naan was just to die for, and two helpings of everything later and you could have just about rolled me out the door. The staff were all great, and the prices were super reasonable. It's not a huge restaurant so I might get it to go if it's a Friday night or on the weekend, but cold Indian food is never really cold if it's spiced right."
"This review is based on my Uber Eats orders. I have now ordered twice, and both times were consistently great! The food is packaged very nicely, as to avoid spills. You could even re-use the containers if you wanted to. Now let's get to the food. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Massala, with some garlic Naan for dippin. The Tikka Massala was sooooo creamy and delicious! The naan was buttery and flavorful. I very much look forward to going in person and trying out the buffet they offer."
"I wish I could give this place a 6/5 stars.I went for the buffet today & I tried everything they had on their buffet offerings. The Jeera Aloo (cumin potatoes), chicken tikka, butter chicken, Daal fry, goat curry, goat paaya (trotters), nihari, Halwa, poori, phirni, Naan, everything is on-point and taste so yummy. The basmati rice is cooked so well, as soon as I opened the lid of the cooker, it smelled so fragrant and tasted just like home. Unlike many restaurants that serve different meats in the same curry, this place has a blend of spices that reminds me of food back home in India (similar to Pakistani food). This continues to remain my favorite South East Asian food restaurant in the area. Even after filling up on all the food, I don't feel overstuffed or lazy, it's really something I would recommend to anyone looking for authentic flavors, in a heartbeat."
"This Indian restaurant is still a 5 star for me. Here's an updated review since it has been a few years! Did an early Valentine's Day lunch buffet and as always the food was delicious. A few items had a bit of a kick.A buffet is a great choice to try several dishes that might be new to you! There was a fried cabbage dish that I had not tried before. Chicken seemed to be the main meat offering in many of the dishes, so if you want something not chicken related, the main menu might be a better choice.Service at noon was quick and our dirty dishes were whisked away quickly. I enjoy the interior, as there is always lots of tables."
"Wow!! This spot is a gem!! We happen to be in the area and dropped in for dinner. Casual ambiance, with good prices. There was a wait but we sat at the bar because it was available. Renee was awesome friendly, professional and really knew the food. The food was so good we ordered chicken tikki it came with rice and we plain and it was so delicious I will be making a point to stop in when I am in the area."
"Pretty solid Indian restaurant! The smell of all the spices hits you as soon as you enter, which is when you know it's real. It's a small and quiet place, but they do play indian music in the background, which I appreciated. There was one waiter for all the tables, and he looked miserable, but he got it done. We got paneer kati rolls for appetizers (not photographed), and for our meals, I got chicken Tikka masala, husband got lamb roganjosh, and we shared garlic naan and nut and raisin naan. I loved our entrees. They were a big portion, came with rice, and were extra buttery and rich. Only downside was the naan. They had no garlic/nut raisin flavor at all. They just tasted like regular naan."

The cuisine and customer service were definitely top notch. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted. I was very impressed with how clean the buffet was. There was a nice assortment of dishes including vegetarian and chicken that all looked amazing. I decided to try everything and was very impressed! The flavors were excellent and surprisingly nothing was too spicy for me. My favorite dishes were the vegetarian masala and the carrots. I loved the garlic naan that is made fresh for each guest and included in the buffet. The dessert was a nice finish to my meal. I will definitely be back to New India Gate for their delicious dishes that were bursting with flavor!

This food is amazing. The service, the atmosphere. It's worth it, if you can try it. The food is really spicy though so do not be cocky and try to get a 10 on the scale, start low if you are not used to Southern Asian spice.

Literally the best Indian food in Arizona. The service is great. I think it's family ran but it's just such great food. I will definitely be coming back. I also order a lot from DoorDash from them.

YUM! Had booked marked this place & was wanting to give it a try when in the mood for Indian Food. That happened to be today and it was so delicious!Ordered the Naan Garlic Bread, the Curry Chicken, Chicken Makhani & White Basmati Rice. EVERYTHING was so satisfying & just the right amount of spice. The standout for us was the Chicken Makhani and paired perfectly with either the rice or dipping that amazing bread along with it. The staff was very friendly. Looks to be a family owed and operated business & LOVE supporting places such as this. This is a must do experience if you like Indian Food. So impressed we will for sure be back and order that superb chicken dish again.

The food here is always amazing, especially their Thalis. My favorite is the Non-Vegetarian Thali paired with Garlic Naan. I took my niece there recently and started off by sharing an order of Pea and Potato Samosas. Perfectly crisp with a delicious sauce for dipping. We both had the Thalis and were extremely happy. I will say that the place looks like it's falling apart with a giant hole in the ceiling. In addition, the soda and ice machine were inoperable. At $13 for the super generous Thali plates, it is a great deal.

Updating the review to 5 stars for the quality and flavor of the food. One of the best garlic naan amongst Indian restaurants in the area, & the balance of flavors and quality of the ingredients is top notch. Their tandoori chicken is one of the juiciest with the best flavors (great marinade).Service leaves something more to be desired, but, I tried their buffet, so will not ding them for service. Very clean and hygienic, relaxed ambiance. Keeps growing on me.

This was the 3rd time I have eaten here. It's been great every time! They had a nice little buffet at lunchtime. I wanted leftovers so I ordered from the menu. Butter chicken and curry chicken a couple of my favorites. The service was great. Staff was amazing. A nice restaurant overall.

"Go here for their samosas and kachori. It is just $1 each and tastes so good. It is an Indian store with a restaurant at the back as well. We usually go here for snack items including sweets. Never tried food in their restaurant but prices are so damn reasonably here for everything. I would highly recommend this place. Don't expect a very welcoming greeting from the uncle at the counter but they are nice people. The store is small and very congested, however, they have so many things to be considered."
"Delicious food, good service, clean table. Good quantity for the price. We had the Tandori chicken, Lamb Masala and the Lamb Vindoloo. Along with the garlic naan and onion naan.Absolutely delicious- nothing let us down."
"Excellent lunch spot for good Indian cuisine. We started by ordering Gobi Manchurian from the appetizer menu, along with a vegetable biryani to supplement the lunch orders of butter chicken, lamb Rogan Josh, and chicken Tika masala. The service was great. They kept our drinks filled and checked in once and awhile. We took a leisurely lunch to chat and catch-up. The dining room is large with comfy booths. Dark and cool inside. Easy to find with plenty of parking in the plaza."
"The food when it's good it's great but they do drop the ball sometimes.Even though I love the food personally, quality and consistency are not always up to the mark. The buffet gets very crowded it is the best way to sample different things on the menu.I have ordered my food to go most of the times and had a positive experience.Only wish they would step it up in terms of consistency and giving the same quality of food.Definitely try things from their Weekend specials menu.Cheers!"
"Updated review:This place stinks now. Went there today and very dissatisfied. Smell was unbearable. They really need professional cleaning in their restaurant. Food quality is deteriorating too. Might not return soon here. ---------This place is definitely on my top list of frequently visited restaurant. If I have to suggest 3 things to anyone , then below is my list :1- Mutton thali 2- Chicken thali3- Chicken dum biryaniThali comes with so much stuffs that you definitely can't eat alone. Something or other will be left. Would suggest 2 people to share one thali. Most authentic biryani they have is chicken dum biryani. Other biryani options are just okay not so great"
"An extra star for the prices here.We love visiting here whenever we are in that area. In fast we almost go every time we visit that side of the town. The reason being they have some really good fast and is vert reasonable too, Few seating tables and even the store but we usually get the seat to sit and eat. I would highly recommend this place for the taste. Don't expect ambiance though."
"Coming from the Bay Area, I can't help but the quality and taste of Indian food in my hometown versus what we can get in the rural parts of Arizona. This place is literally a lone standing restaurant in Eloy AND one of the only places you can find Indian food within the area. The price you pay for the amount you get is very fair and love the fact that you have the option to order the curries in ounces LOL because who DOESN'T love a big tub of chicken curry??? What we ordered:- Butter Chicken- Palak Paneer- Chicken Karahi - Garlic NaanYou can never go wrong with butter chicken!!!! If you're new to Indian cuisine, butter chicken is always the way to go and you'll end up finding yourself craving for it every week. Of course, I've had many butter chicken curries and this cannot compare to some other curries I've tasted as they use chicken breast versus chicken thighs so the breast was a little dry. Palak Paneer was great. I love paneer in general-- and if you don't know what that is! It's Indian cheese :) Palak paneer is basically cheesy goodness in a warm spinach curry. It was my first time trying chicken karahi and was surprised that it actually tasted like what you might find in a Chinese restaurant! It's basically stir-fried in sauce and peppers and pairs well with rice. The garlic naan is surprisingly more like roti. It was a lot thinner than I expected. However, it did feel a lot lighter than having the traditional thick naan and would order it again.I wish this place offered some desserts like gulab jaman or some street Indian food like pani puri but to have this wonderful restaurant in Eloy is a blessing in itself!!!!"
"Great experience, good food, and no complaints. Easy to find. Big tables for large group's. The whole family enjoyed. We will for sure come back!"
"We ordered Bhel puri, 2 platters one with malai kofta and other with panner, Gobi Manchurian, panner paratha and veg biriyani. Everything was so good and we were in love with the simplicity and the quality which did not compromise the taste of the food. Happy to have found a good vegetarian restaurant. Recommend hard core vegetarians to check out this place and you won't regret. Note to the Business: We saw in our receipt a 20% gratuity and a 3% administrative fees( which we have never seen anywhere else and donno what's that's for ) however for the service tax and the administrative fees paid it would have been nice, to have the meal in a proper plate instead of a paper plate. Because when we come in a group and order 7 different items we tend to share and taste all the foods."
"If your looking for some flavorful food in this area, give this place a try. We had dinner here and it was fairly busy for a weeknight. There were a few ppl eating on the patio and a few tables inside were taken. We walked up to the counter and it was a bit awkward as the cashier didn't greet us nor acknowledge us. After a few minutes, she saw us looking at the menu overhead and pointed at the menu on the counter. We looked it over and ordered three entrees:One grilled chicken tikka masala kabobsOne butter chicken One shrimp tikka masalaOne garlic naan and one regular naanTwo drinksTwo dessertsThe food was brought out to us by a different girl, not the cashier. She gave us each our entrée and then just tossed the utensils onto the table and walked away...We began to eat and the food was good. I enjoyed my chicken tikka masala kabobs as they were hot and had a pretty good flavor. The garlic naan was great. The portions were ehhhh though as I felt like I was served more salad then chicken / rice. Wish I had gotten more rice and or protein. The desserts were unique. We tried their mango Lassi smoothie and it was good, but lukewarm. We also tried Gulab Jamun - milk-based pastry balls with honey-flavored syrup and they were ok.The inside is cute and clean. If in the area again I would consider maybe stopping by..."
"A few months old restaurants only that replaced an existing restaurant at the location. But this restaurant has a twisted take on the food with a Kerala touch to a few of the authentic items. - Food: Great taste & their chef definitely knows how to do the recipes, especially Malabar biryani which is their weekend special - Cleanliness: Very clean and hygienic seating with plenty of tables. Fairly large area The only complaint I have is the quantity of the food for the price. Their family pack biryani or single serve box, both have fairly less quantity compared to any other restaurant & not to forget prices are a little higher too."
"This is one of the best South Indian buffet in the area. The staff is super nice, kind and welcoming. Food is freshly prepared and everything tasted amazing, very close to the authentic flavors you will find in India. The masala chai and filter coffee are also terrific. The inside is not fancy, but very clean and functional. I would recommend to start with buffet if you are new to trying South Indian food, so you can get a feel for many things. When you get the buffet, please ask your server for the Masala dosa / dosa, since, it is prepared fresh, made to order. I will definitely be coming back and will spread the word!"
"Delicious, fresh made food and great service!! We tried several items, and it's hard to pick a favorite! Everything well-cooked and flavorful."
"Biryani Bowl is a newly opened Indian Restaurant located in a strip mall off of Bell Road by many car dealers. This isn't a fancy place and is mainly take out but but can dine indoors or on the small patio. The food is mostly North Indian Style and on different days of the week besides the menu they also offer many specials. We ordered three weekend specials and a fish curry off the regular menu. We weren't asked about spice levels. In general all the food was fresh and flavorful. The food did have heat to it but was mild heat. We tried mirapakaya chicken (stir fried chicken appetizer), chule batura (chick peas with fried bread), mughial chicken (in onion curry...this was melt in mouth tender), and fish curry.Everything was at least GOOD. Proteins were on the small side in the main dishes. The curry leaves stay in the dishes. I was going to give 4 stars. The flavors run a little more fragrant with cloves and other exotic spices. The chicken in the onion curry was really great and was melt in your mouth tender. Most people would give give the fish curry 3 or less stars....Flavor-wise it is a little different and has less sour and less heat but it. The fish was cooked very nicely but was only a few flakes of fish in it. A different new unique Indian Restaurant!3 Stars means A-OK on Yelp. Worthy of a try!3.5 stars"
"Wow, first review in a while and once again I wrote a book. If TL;DR, just skip to the pics. I'm a Gone-Dark Yelper, having submitted only 3 reviews since 2017, my hey-day being the era prior to that. This wonderful new (as of October 2024) spot for Indian cuisine in downtown Phoenix motivated me to dust off the Yelp login:In town from Dallas for a Friday night only (work conference), I was delighted to find something other than burgers/wings/etc. in the walkable area. I had to choose between this and the hotel staff-recommended Zen Thai, but I was feeling Indian so made the 17-minute walk from the Hyatt Regency to this quaint, intimate spot that features a nice covered patio and has somewhat limited indoor seating options--I chose the bar to allow the one free table to remain available--and as always was pleased I did.Didn't get anyone's names, but the gal behind the bar was extremely helpful and accommodating while also very busy and running orders. Got an Old Monk rum & coke because not just everyone carries Old Monk, so you get it when you can!Long sentence alert: The menu features a variety of items, and among them are dosai, which isn't always readily available so I knew I'd have one of those, and then the goat or lamb curry choice was too impossible for me to make so I asked a guy running food from the kitchen on his way back to recommend one, which he did after giving it a thoughtful look over. He vanished back into the kitchen and moments later, the chef comes bounding out, beaming and happy to tell me which to get: he said the Butter Masala Dosai ("thin rice crepes filled with potatoes and onions") and then, after warning me that the goat would feature bones while the lamb wouldn't, I said I don't care about that. I love them both--which do I need to get? He responded, get the goat. And I did.Wow, couldn't believe what they brought me--the dosai was beautiful! And enormous--I put my drink glass in the pic for scale. It was delicious and somehow light & delicate with 3 featured sauces to either dip or spread on. Only teeny regret was not getting the Spl. Rava Dosai as it also had chillies and I like hot.The goat curry? Oh yeah. A rich, thick deep brown sauce covering tender cuts of goat (yes, with some bones occasionally) over the standard rice that comes with. I went into this knowing that it would be more food than I could consume and planned on taking it back for breakfast in the morning, haha. But I darn near ate all of both. The whole time either the food runner or server would stop to see how I liked it. They were very fun and personable, and it was obvious they took pride in their craft. On leaving, I shook the hand of the runner to say goodbye and he grabbed my hand and pulled me back into the kitchen to tell the chef how I'd liked it! I only wish I'd gotten a selfie with them, but was all too happy to thank the man himself and enjoyed my constitutional back to the Hyatt.Zen Thai, I'm coming for you on the next conference!"
"You have to try this place if you are vegetarian or vegan! This place is on my radar since the time it opened and finally got a chance to try for a lunch. The ambiance, decor everything is 5/5, finally an Indian restaurant who has given some importance to the look and feel of the place. We were seated and the service is quick and everything is digital, the menu is available and placed order to the server. We went with couple of chaat items samosa chaat and dahi poori, both excellent, flavors were good and tasty. I would highly recommend the chilli garlic noodles, the taste is top notch. We tried the chaas, it was alright and not the best. Overall a good place for lot of options. I hope they stay consistent and quality doesn't go down. The pricing is expensive and for two it turned out to be $75, it's valid for the food but not completely justified."
"My favorite South Indian restaurant in Chandler! The place itself is pretty spacious and there are plenty of parking spots.Got to try their plain dosa and pepper chicken. Their dosa was crispy, huge, and I could taste Ghee, it was so good. And chutneys came with dosa was so good. Every single chutney was packed with flavors! And surprisingly, their price is good, as I've seen some places selling plain and smaller dosa for 12-13 bucks, yet their price is so much reasonable.Pepper chicken was good, it was flavorful, but to be honest, their dosa is just the bomb. And chai was sooo good, I've tried chai at here and there, but chai here tasted just like how my Indian friend would make it for me at home. This is going to be my go-to dosa and chai spot!"
"Got a to-go order and got some garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, vegetable momos and baignan bharta. I ordered over the phone and was told that the order would be ready in 20 minutes. I got there in 20ish minutes but unfortunately the order wasn't ready yet but it was a short wait and I got to check out the dinner buffet which looked really appealing so we will have to check it out one of these days. The order was securely packaged and the entrees and rice were put in round clear plastic tubs while the naan was wrapped in foil. The chicken tikka masala was my favorite of the two dishes. It had just the right balance of tomato, cream, spices and the chicken was very tender. The baignan bharta was decent but I've had better renditions elsewhere. The naan and rice were great to eat the curries with. I requested both curries to be mild and they were both low on heat. Out of the two the baignan bharta was just a little spicier. The vegetable momos reminded me a lot of Asian style gyoza, but using Indian style spices. I got these for my daughter who really likes dumplings but unfortunately they were way too spicy for her. Service at the counter was very friendly and polite. I'd definitely come back to dine in or get a takeout order."
"This place is pretty good! Similar flavors to the previous Indian restaurant that was here. Went on opening day and was quoted 30 mins for a to-go order...order came out as quoted. Food was flavorful and the butter chicken was not overly spicy...I prefer extra spicy, so I wish they would ask how spicy you like it. The food had good quality as well and tasted fresh. It looks like they still have the buffet tables (pushed to the back and out of the way), so no buffet was setup when I was there :-(I don't know if the "Grand Opening" menu I ordered from on opening day is going to be their permanent menu (it looked pretty official as the menu was in color and well laminated). That said, everything is al-a-carte. I was fortunate enough to eat here on opening day and my meal was half off, but would have otherwise cost me $23.18 for an order of butter chicken, butter naan, and white rice...a lil pricey for my liking. Will I still eat here? Absolutely! I will just eat here less often and save it for special occasions!"
"I have been a regular at the other location on Baseline and were very happy to know that they have opened up closer to us.Chutney's express specializes in indian Chinese which I love and they have nailed the tasteWe got the Hakka noodles, veg fried rice, chili paneer, garlic cauliflower and the malai aloo tiki. The food was medium spicy 6/10 exactly as I had specified, the flavors were on point.Prices are student friendlyThey also have some lunch combos which I want to try and the non vegetarian options (since all the food I ordered today was vegetarian).Definitely check them out if you haven't.Cheers!"
"11/10. Very very good food. I do takeout and we love the samosas. The spice level is accurate when ordering so I like that it's easy to control."
"Previously home to the Ruchi Indian buffet, this location has undergone a stunning transformation under new ownership and a recent renovation. Now known as Sampurna, the restaurant boasts a fresh, modern ambiance, a warm and attentive staff, and an array of delicious dishes that cater to both herbivores and omnivores alike. With a weekend buffet priced around $20, you'll find plenty of options to indulge in, and they keep the dosas coming--ensuring every bite is as satisfying as the last. If you're looking for something different or simply love the taste of southern Indian cuisine, you won't be disappointed. I know I'll be back for more!"
"I've tried other locations before. In fact have been a fan since I tried it in Lubbock where this restaurant is originally from. I love the tikka masala but ventured out and had the butter chicken. It was good but I think the tikka masala is better. Rice and naan are extra. I recommend ordering the first Tuesday of every month so you can get the $10 deal - it includes tikka masala, rice, naan and drink."
