The service was very kind, helpful and welcoming! The restaurant is very dark and pretty and we loved the bar area.We each had two of the satori coctails--which is their version of an espresso martini. The top foam came in a shape of ying and yang symbol! so cute! It had vanilla liquor in it, which was a nice touch! We started with the AUBERGINE & CABBAGE DUMPLINGS, which were a delicious flavor pop in a soy but also chili crunch. Unbelievable! The duck bao was build it yourself style. the duck was sooo crispy and the bao buns were warm soft pillows with the lucky cat insignia. A few pickles to top it, but i wish they gave more.We also got the egg fried rice and the clay pot glass noodles with maine lobster (im a new england girl).. I actually preferred the fried rice, but my friend preferred the noods. I didn't like the texture combo of the soft noodles with the hard greens.

3.5/5I don't like leaving sup-par reviews, but as a local this is a hard pass. If I was visiting and staying in the area, maybe, but I would not return as a local. There's just too much competition nowadays.Service was really good, seated quickly and attentive even when messed up... although the staff seemed to be running around stressed. Maybe they're understaffed? Food... we ordered the spice menu and a few additional dishes. A hot dish we ordered came out before the first spice course, which was nigiri. I would've preferred the nigiri to come out first, but the nigiri were really good. I'm not one to complain about portions but both the tartare (which wasn't great, though I love shisho) & lamb dumplings were small, like very small. My salmon was undercooked. Like REALLY undercooked. They fixed it quick, and brought us an extra dessert to make up for it. 5 stars for the raspberry matcha Loli. The dishes I'd get again-- nigiri, any dessert. Mocktail with rose / lychee as well as the mango one also were superb. Ambiance was nice, loved the dim lighting, but why did they wipe out table with what smelled like a chlorox wipe? Very strong smell that wasn't pleasant during a meal. The small details matter, and there's just too many better options in Miami

I'm a huge GR fan, not just because I'm in love with most, if not all of his shows including Hell's Kitchen, Master Chef and Unchartered, but because I recently went to Hell's Kitchen and had an amazing experience. I was hoping for the same if not better with Lucky Cat as I'm personally a sushi fan. Our group was celebrating another birthday (we are the same group that went to Hell's Kitchen) and although I wouldn't personally have favored another one of GR establishments just weeks from one another, but was vetoed to go as they were all still flying high on the GR wagon. I can gladly say that this restaurant gives a romantic sort of speakeasy vibe with it's dim lighting, dark colored walls and rich luxurious seating. Beautiful decor. The birthday couple got there first and were getting started at the bar until the rest of us arrived, however upon entering, the host hastily seated us at our table and advised us she will call the couple over from the bar. This was a bit of a bummer as we would've preferred to join them but I must disclose that this time around we made a Saturday night reservation whereas Hell's Kitchen was a Monday night experience. This of course meant it was a much busier environment with families and kids and so service was slow and not as closely attentive. Now on to the cocktails and menu. We have 'old fashioned' lovers in our group including myself so it tends to be the go-to cocktail, so we went for their Gohan version which successfully passed the test however someone decided to order the Lucky Negroni. Whatever combination was rolled, didn't combine well at all. Our drinker that likes it pretty went for the Sozu which consisted of gin, plum blossom sake, yuzu, coconut and rhubarb. At first you'd think it would be milky but was pleasantly surprised by the lightness and refreshing taste. We were then greeted by our waiter making his way around the table to advise us on the menu. We understood it to be family style and that the dishes were sharable. I would have to disagree as the servings were rather small. We started with edamame, papaya salad and ceviche. I thoroughly enjoyed the papaya salad however the group's not too keen to spicy and thought it was too much. We then went on to order (for sharing): ceviche, lamb dumplings, (2) egg fried rice, the 30 day prime dry-aged porterhouse, baked clay pot glass noodles, Australian waygu skirt steak, and zenmai roll. The waygu was presented along with a certificate of authenticity. It was very good, melt in your mouth good as the steak didn't need much if any chewing, it literally emulsified in your mouth. By far the highlight of the night. What didn't live up to the expectations were the Zenmai roll, glass noodles and lamb dumplings. The glass noodles and 2nd fried rice came out so late we thought it was comp'd but come to find out it just came out when we were already almost finished. Unfortunately the noodles and dumplings were rather oily and were much smaller than I'd hoped (for the price). Didn't even get to try any nigiri or any other sushi that I was looking forward to tasting. Not many of us opted for dessert so we nibbled on a sticky tamarind cake which was pretty good. For what our bill ended up tallying to as we wrapped things up, we all agreed that it didn't measure up to our expectations and left wanting something more. I plan to return in a non-group setting to try their Miami Spice menu and give this another shot.

Dined here while visiting Miami. I tried many items from the menu, and I would say, they were all very good. I'm not a fan of duck, but I figured that this would be the place to try it, so I ordered the Confit Duck Leg Bao, and I would say, it was my favorite out of everything that I tried. Other items that I ate were the GFC, the BBQ Sea Bream, the Sashimi. The restaurant looks very elegant. It's a great place for a foodie as you'll get to try different items.

Came here for a for a girls night at a recommendation of a friend. Tried a few items including a mocktail (very good, highly recommend) the Korean /fried chicken and the egg fried rice. Prices were high and food was basic/unremarkable. Standard for south beach I guess but was a bit disappointed considering it's a Gordan Ramsey establishment/ franchise

Very good food. Very expensive and the valet parking for 20$ was not very pleasant anyway it is Miami so. Service was great. Must order the duck and Uni toast. Would I come back for the food. Not really Bz it's very inconvenient drive and to pay so much for parking. The food was good.

The food here was pretty good I thought the taste was pretty unique and the sushi was fresh tasting. The steak was cooked a good medium rare and was tasty. I think the decor of the restaurant was the best part! The inside was very dim lit but fit the theme very well. We did go on a weekday and it was slow but the service was also slow which sadly didn't make a lot of sense to me! Otherwise it was a great experience

I'm a big fan of G.R. so wanted to try this place even though I didn't know much about it. Nicely decorated inside, dimly lit giving an intimate setting vibe. Was quickly greeted at the entrance and sat at the bar for a cocktail before heading to a table for dinner. At the bar order a margarita, refreshing, the big ice cube block had the restaurant logo emblemed/stamped on it which gave it a unique touch. Service at the bar and at our table was impeccable, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. The food however was just ok, nothing to rave about yet nothing bad. Ordered a handful of dishes to be able to try a variety of items. The oysters were interesting with the grapefruit but I think it over powered the flavor of the oyster itself, nonetheless a different take on how to present raw oysters. The lamb dumplings, like the rolls, were good, nothing memorable though. My favorite dish, which was the one I was least expecting to like was actually the glass noodles. Cooked and seasoned well with pieces of Maine lobster and pork belly, it was the dish I enjoyed the most. Closed the night with a delightful glass of French dessert wine, which was nice to see on the after dinner drinks menu. Overall it was a nice evening but I don't see myself coming back for the food, especially since Miami has so many places/new places to try.

So so so so expensive, and not all that it should be for that price. Service was good, but it was a sterile place.

We love Gordon Ramsay's restaurants! We had a phenomenal first experience at Hell's Kitchen in Downtown Miami and were so excited to see the first North American location of Lucky Cat to open in Miami Beach! We waited a few weeks after the restaurant to open to secure a weekend dinner reservation. Parking is a little challenging in the South of Fifth neighborhood. I would recommend looking for street parking, or either looking for one of the Miami Beach city parking garages around 7th-8th and Washington. For a few hours of parking it maxes out around $12, just give yourself 15-20 minutes before your reservation to find parking. We entered the restaurant and the employees held the door open for us and provided us a warm welcome and were promptly seated at a nice booth in the restaurant. Our server came over a few minutes later and provided us a warm welcome and answered to answer any questions we initially had on the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine for I believe around $60, and ordered a couple of various appetizers for around $10. For entrees, we ordered the fried chicken ($19) and the Egg Fried Rice ($29). All food was absolutely amazing and very fresh and flavorful. Overall it was an absolutely amazing dining experience and service throughout the restaurant was amazing as well. We look forward to returning!
