Just left and had to run on here to tell you how amazing this place is! We had a sweet server I don't remember her name but she was so attentive! The atmosphere was pleasant and a lot of people sit at the bar - you can dine in or takeout! I took the last pastelitos which were AMAZING!! Queso y guava - only available when we went around 7pm I'm sure they have more pastries and sweets we just went late in the evening! The food was omg so delicious I can't wait to come back here during the morning to get first of everything! I left with my cafe con leche on my hand - love authentic Cuban food and this is it!!

So it's in the Cuban hood. I don't even know if I was supposed to be there. I don't speak enough Spanish to be all over Miami. Still, everyone was nice so we let it ride and it turned out great. There are people there reading their papers, eating their food and minding their business. It's a regular neighborhood spot. We ordered at the window. T service was great, but slower since my Spanish isn't that great. This place had inexpensive food. They had great coffee. The portions are generous.

Authentic Cuban food at a ridiculously affordable price. Places like this remind me how food tells the story of who people are and where they come from. They focus on the food, and the food only. La Fama is a little hole in the wall located next to a Spanish supermarket. You'll see a window known as a "ventanita" - and folks ordering Cortados or Cafe con leche. There are two sides to this place, a bar seating area or a small dining room - in either room you'll get full service. The women serving you and taking your orders are also squeezing fresh orange juice, and toasting fresh bread. The cooks in the back are loud and you're able to see it all happening right in front of you. It feels like your in someone's grandmothers home. The food, absolutely delicious. It's all coming out fresh, flavorful, and up to par. I keep coming back here every time I stop in Miami. You can have a coffee, 2 eggs, toast, bacon, and orange juice for under $8. Just to give you roughly an idea of what you're looking at price point. My favorites on the menu: Pan con Bistec, Pork Chops, and the Chicharron de pollo. All paired with white rice, and black beans.

I knew there had to be a top notch quality local spot that's not a bazillion dollars to eat and 'La fama cafeteria' is it!I had to have the Cuban sangwich which was muy delicioso and my buddy had the whole fish of the day which he's devouring ahora. Will be having several more meals here while in town and allow my finances to take a breather. No se olviden los pasteles de guava

I give 4 stars for food, 5 for service, and 2 for ambiance. The place needs an update, the same but updated. I had roast chicken, it needs more flavor, yuca was good. The service was friendly and familiar. The gentleman at the cash register made sure that everyone was taken care of. I recommend this place

Café con leche so good. It's hot and just the right amount of sweetness. Also don't pass up the pastries. The cheese con guava , the patty, and the potato ball were delicious. My daughter and I ordered the specials. Baked chicken and Carne Asada. Food was on point! And super affordable. We came out spending less than $20 per person. If your in Miami go to this place. It's the BEST!

Small hole-in-the wall lave with only a few much counter seats and three tables. Food is great and an amazing value. Just FYI: You come for the food, not the ambiance

We went on a Saturday early evening and all the specials were sold out. That says something. The service was very humble and sweet. Def a great place to stop by if you're willing to humble yourself and enjoy the rustic and retro nature of this cafeteria. The chicken soup is great and warming, the churrasco covered in a delicious garlic and cilantro oil sauce and the plantains were soft, sweet and perfectly cooked.

There are no words. The food was amazing, the people efficient, but welcoming, the prices were great, the ambience was authentic, warm, boisterous, felt like my Cuban mother's house in the middle of a party. Server shout out to our server, Gina, great recommendations. We were even able to purchase a bag of ice to keep the leftovers cold as they will be in the car for a while. Best meal we have had in Florida. We got the roast chicken and the fish soup, plantains were crazy good as were the red beans. Didn't love the french fries though and the black beans were good, but not as amazing as the red ones.

Best time ever! Total Cuban immersion. Good food, crazy affordable prices and wonderful fun and authentic atmosphere. Able (the owner) couldn't have been more gracious. Just a couple of blocks from the Wynwood wall. Check it out. You won't be disappointed!
