FINALLY got to try the Tomahawk, we've tried ordering it a few time but they've been out of stock. We were so happy to finally try it and it did not disappoint! This is a great entree to share with your partner or with the table (and some other entrees). It was cooked perfectly, super flavorful & juicy. This is definitely my go to order from now on!

Beautiful Tulum type decor at Mexican restaurant Koko. Server Gus was friendly, efficient and explained the menu well. Given we had a larger group with also two young kids, he was able to handle us effortlessly. The food really shines here. Good quality, beautifully flavored with some spicy notes. I got the shrimp tacos which you can also get with lettuce instead of their famous blue corn tortilla. The blue corn tortillas are really good and freshly handmade. For those with a little adventure, they also have an insect menu of ants, grasshoppers, worms etc. I tried the ant egg sauce which was spicy, with some peanut and sweetness with little crunch of perhaps was the ant eggs. I felt adventurous! Worth the price. They have both a nice indoor and outdoor area. With valet close by and street parking if you're lucky.

I would give Koko 5 stars, but we had quite a long wait, even with a reservation, granted we did have a very large party. We spent most of the wait at the bar, where bartender, Michel, made us all yummy drinks while we waited. He was fantastic, and made the long wait for a large party a bit better. Also, they did give us all free tequila shots because we waited so long. Besides the long wait, the drinks, tacos, and vibes were incredible. I ordered the "el que es perico," spicy, with no simple syrup which was delicious. If you like cilantro and passionfruit, you'll love this drink. I also got the tacos de hongos, which are amazing, and come with guac and a side of black beans. The server was very attentive, and helpful to my dietary needs, as I am gluten free. All in all, I'd love to come back here, but maybe would be weary of coming back with such a large party, even with a reservation. Spicy margs and tacos-- yes please!

Came to Koko for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was amazing, it very much feels like a rainforest. The short rib tacos were absolutely delicious, as was the guacamole and cheese dip. I also loved my Tulum vibe cocktail I had multiple for sure!! Our waitress was so kind and helpful and was so attentive to our needs as a large party. My only complaint was that we had an 8:15 reservation for this birthday dinner and we were not sat until 9:15pm. They were very kind to give us complimentary tequila shots for our wait however I was definetly starving. The food and the vibes were overall very great!

I recently came to Koko with a group and our experience was absolutely fantastic! The service was incredible - Matthew was personable, funny and dealt with our crazy group so well. The group started with the guacamole and the queso fundido - arguably the best queso fundido I've ever had. It was delicious, rich and so so good - served with fresh, warm tortillas. Personally, I had the watermelon marg (with tequila) and split the tuna ceviche and the bakan ceviche with someone else. Both were absolutely delicious, but the sauce on the tuna was so unique, fresh and flavorful. Everything tried different things and there was not a single complaint - plus they were able to easily accomodate a vegan and someone who is gluten-free in our party. Finally, we ended with the chocolate filled churros with a caramel sauce - YUM. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

We sat at the bar and Marquis took great care of us! The watermelon and mango margaritas were perfect, as was the guac and queso! This place is very fun. We were here for happy hour so the margs were all half off, which was even better. I'm so full now but it was worth it! Great atmosphere, great food, and great service all around.

The flor de jamaica tea is oustanding. For Miami prices in food ,is not bad. The olace is beautiful too!Pedimos los tacos de carnitas prensadas, las quesadillas de hongo y rajas poblanas y las enchiladas suizas. ¡¡Todo fue magnífico!! Koko in Coconut Grove is a hidden gem that I'm so glad I discovered. The short rib tacos were absolutely excellent - tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Paired with their very strong margaritas, it made for a fantastic meal.The ambiance at Koko is both vibrant and relaxing, creating a great atmosphere for dining.
