You need a reservation or arrive as soon as they open to get a table. They have a digital ordering service for each table, so you can order at your own pace without waiting for the servers. There are a surprising number of vegetarian options, the vegan noodles and the vegan kare kare were both delicious. The noodles were peppery with crispy tofu. There are several options of lumpia's, we went for the shrimp ones and they great. Crispy with a sweet dipping sauce. The food comes out fast with huge portions. It is worth all the hype!!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Kamayan was my first experience with Filipino food and now I am a big fan of Filipino food. The restaurant has a homely feel inside and the decorations are very cultural and vibrant. Since the restaurant is only open during the latter half of the week, when it is open, it gets super packed because the space inside is rather small, so I would recommend making a reservation if you want to eat here!I usually get the Lechon Kawali, Chicken Adobo, and Wok Fried Green Beans. The Lechon Kawali is cooked to the perfect amount of crispiness in the skin and tenderness in the meat, and the dipping sauce is super good. I love the Wok Fried Green Beans as well; there is a bit of a tangy flavor to them but that is why I enjoy it so much. I would eat all of the these dishes with rice because the plain flavor of the rice balances the other stronger flavors in the dishes very well. The Ube Flan Cake is also super yummy! It does not taste too sweet and I feel like the flan is made very well. You cannot go wrong with any of the food here. Also, the food comes out really fast and is piping hot! I really like the vibes at Kamayan because it always feels so alive. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area who wants some authentic Filipino food.

Kamayan has long been on my Atlanta food bucket list, thanks to its glowing reviews. I finally had the chance to visit with my partner for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant's vibrant decor created a tropical ambiance that was instantly inviting. Although we had to wait about 25 minutes for a table, the service was fast once we were seated. For our appetizer, we chose the Wok Fried Green Beans ($8). They were seasoned with crispy fried onions, Thai chilis, and lime. The flavor was tangy, and my partner and I couldn't stop raving about how they were the best green beans we've had in a while! For the main entree, my partner opted for the Chicken Adobo ($16). The meat was incredibly tender, falling off the bone with the slightest touch. It was seasoned perfectly, making it a standout dish we both enjoyed thoroughly.I ordered the Fried Pompano ($23), which was as visually appealing as it was delicious. It came with a zesty sauce and a refreshing side of veggies and fruits.Even though we were quite full, we decided to try the Lechon Sisig ($20) on our waitress' recommendation. While it was certainly flavorful, the strong porky taste was a bit overpowering for me, and I could only manage a bite.Overall, we enjoyed our meal. I'm glad I finally crossed this place off my list and look forward to exploring more of their menu in the future.

Highly recommend a reservation. Lovely decor and ambience here. Very friendly and helpful staff.I got their green beans which were really good and addictive, kind of like a healthy takis lol, salty and sour and a little spicy and crunchy. Very good. Chicken adobo was too salty. The other beef entree we ordered was just okay as well.

This venue is in a strip mall with a ton of shops. The parking lot is huge and it took a while for me to find this place. There a ton of Asian stores here. I want to come back and try a couple. The restaurant was very busy and you will wait a while unless you put in a reservation. I was able to sit at the bar.Order first using the QR code and pay before the kitchen starts cooking your order.I ordered the pork belly and churros. Both tasted great.

Exceptional meal here! Food included the crispy pork belly which was a little drink, the pork blood stew which was savory and the best dish in my opinion, the rice noodle soup which was flavorful, and the halo halo dessert to end the meal. Service was fine, and the interior was neat. Definitely a wait due to their popularity but worth a try!

After hearing so many rave reviews of Kamayan, was finally able to experience it for myself! We ordered so much haha and overall had a good time. Appetizers:- Chicken BBQ skewers: Perfect balance of sweet & spicy with that lovely smokiness from barbecuing.- Lumpianisa: Filling was enjoyably fatty & flavorful and lumpia wrapper was crispy.- Lechón Kawali (cubed deep fried pork belly): I'm a sucker for pork belly, and this was well done- right amount of fat, crunch, and tender. The meat itself doesn't have much seasoning, but I didn't mind it because this highlighted the intrinsic flavor & quality of the meat and they provide sauces.Entrees:- Chicken Adobo: The last time I ate chicken adobo, the vinegar taste was so pungent that I was a little scared to order it again. But I'm glad I did, because this time around, it was much better! Chicken was super tender. My family did find this dish too salty.- Pancit Palabok: Unique dish; probably not my favorite texturally but I'm glad I tried it. - Beef Kare-Kare: This one was a hit, esp bc it reminded us a little of our home cuisine. I really appreciated all the veggies included, how tender the beef was, and the balanced peanut flavor.- Sizzling Sisig: Really enjoyed the flavor and how tender the meat was. Was a little disappointed in this dish's portion size especially when compared to its prize.Desserts:- Halo Halo Espesyal: Happy that I got to try this but not my favorite. Loved the ube ice cream on top & all the eclectic toppings. But major brain freeze warning haha, there is a lot of ice; I wish there was either more ube ice cream or less ice so that the flavor could have carried through more strongly.- Ube Churros: So delicious, may be my favorite item. Wonderfully crispy outside, soft & pillowy on the inside. Good amount of ube flavor, but I wonder if they could up it even more by having an ube filling in the churro? Regardless, super tasty.Would highly recommend making a reservation (Resy link is on their website). There are regular tables, bar seating, and a private(?) dining room. Ordering is done through a QR code- some love it, some hate it, I don't really care. Service is fast & friendly. Ambiance is really nice. 7.5/10 would recommend!

I've been to Kamayan now twice. It's an authentic Filipino place right off Buford Highway in the old shopping plaza. They've got a variety of seating but it's popular so you likely will have to wait to be seated; it took us about 20-30 minutes. It's brightly lit and colorful inside and the food is all excellent. What I appreciate the most is their unique flavors but also the balance of the plate itself. A lot of thought was been put into each plate so there's a good mix of savory and sweet so you leave feeling quite satisfied. The second time I went it was during brunch so we were able to enjoy it as well.Things I've had are: the pompano, the lechon kawali, the chicken adobo, the bisteksilogg, the wok fried green beans, and the lumpiansia.I highly recommend the wok fried green beans - they're a visually striking dish that tastes even better. The calamansi lime gives it the perfect saltiness and pop, making it very unique.I also really enjoyed the pompano; the skin of the fish was crispy and the vegatables with the strawberries added a freshness and sweetness to balance out the fish. All in all, unique but a well fitting addition to Buford Highway. Make a trip if you can.

Such an authentic and fun restaurant! My friend came on her birthday and received a free ube flan cake and an amazing birthday song sung soulfully by Father John. Every dish was delicious and approved by my Filipina friend. The string beans surprised me the most because there was some sourness (from calamansi I think) and it was refreshing.

Food was extremely salty. The pork belly I had was so hard to chew, almost burnt. Service was pretty much nonexistent, you have to self serve everything. You also have to pay when you order on your phone. I enjoyed the ambiance but food was mediocre at best. Very surprised they are "Michelin plate". Won't be revisiting.
